Why do not the rabbis and the doctors of Law forbid them from their (habit of) uttering sinful words and eating things forbidden? Evil indeed are their works.
It was We who revealed the law (to Moses): therein was guidance and light. By its standard have been judged the Jews, by the prophets who bowed (as in Islam) to Allah's will, by the rabbis and the doctors of law: for to them was entrusted the protection of Allah's book, and they were witnesses thereto: therefore fear not men, but fear me, and sell not my signs for a miserable price. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) Unbelievers.

SahihAlBukhari-017-001-7125Narrated Abdullah: A Jewish Rabbi came to Allah Messenger ﷺ and he said; O Muhammad! We learn that Allah will put all the heavens on one finger; and the earths on one finger; and the trees on one finger; and the water and the dust on one finger; and all the other created beings on one finger. Then He will say; I am the King. Thereupon the Prophet ﷺ smiled so that his pre-molar teeth became visible; and that was the confirmation of the Rabbi. Then Allah Messenger ﷺ recited: No just estimate have they made of Allah such as due to Him. 39.67The Chapter on Allah Characteristics Creator Of Heaven And Earth in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Prophetic Commentary on the Quran Tafseer of the Prophet in Sahih AlBukhari
