O ye who believe! Violate not the sanctity of the symbols of Allah, nor of the sacred month, nor of the animals brought for sacrifice, nor the garlands that mark out such animals, nor the people resorting to the sacred house, seeking of the bounty and good pleasure of their Lord. But when ye are clear of the sacred precincts and of pilgrim garb, ye may hunt and let not the hatred of some people in (once) shutting you out of the Sacred Mosque lead you to transgression (and hostility on your part). Help ye one another in righteousness and piety, but help ye not one another in sin and rancour: fear Allah: for Allah is strict in punishment.
Hast thou not turned Thy vision to those who claim sanctity for themselves? Nay-but Allah Doth sanctify whom He pleaseth. But never will they fail to receive justice in the least little thing.

SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5520Narrated Ibn Abbas: On the day of the conquest of Mecca; the Prophet ﷺ said; There is no more emigration from Mecca but Jihad and intentions; and whenever you are called for Jihad; you should go immediately. No doubt; Allah has made this place Mecca a sanctuary since the creation of the heavens and the earth and will remain a sanctuary till the Day of Resurrection as Allah has ordained its sanctity. Fighting was not permissible in it for anyone before me; and even for me it was allowed only for a portion of a day. So; it is a sanctuary with Allah sanctity till the Day of Resurrection. Its thorns should not be uprooted and its game should not be chased; and its luqata fallen things should not be picked up except by one who would announce that publicly; and its vegetation grass etc. should not be cut. AlAbbas said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Except AlIdhkhir; for it is used by their blacksmiths and for their domestic purposes. So; the Prophet ﷺ said; Except AlIdhkhir. The Chapter on Agriculture In The Sanctuary Of Makkah in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Fighting is prohibited in Makkah in Sahih AlBukhari

SahihMuslim-017-001-17888It has been narrated on the authority of Sulaimin Bin Buraida who learnt the tradition from his father. The latter said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The sanctity of the wives of Mujahids is like the sanctity of their mothers for those who sit at home i. e do not go out for Jihad. Anyone who stays behind looking after the family of a Mujahid and betrays his trust will be made to stand on the Day of judgment before the Mujahid who will take away from his meritorious deeds whatever he likes.
