SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1148 | Narrated Anas Bin Malik: The night Allah Messenger ﷺ was taken for a journey from the sacred Masjid of Mecca AlKaba: Three persons came to him in a dreamy while he was sleeping in the Sacred Masjid before the Divine Inspiration was revealed to Him. One of them said; Which of them is he? The middle second angel said; He is the best of them. The last third angle said; Take the best of them. Only that much happened on that night and he did not see them till they came on another night; i.e. after The Divine Inspiration was revealed to him. Fath AlBari Page 258; Vol. 17 and he saw them; his eyes were asleep but his heart was not--and so is the case with the prophets: their eyes sleep while their hearts do not sleep. So those angels did not talk to him till they carried him and placed him beside the well of Zamzam. From among them Gabriel took charge of him. Gabriel cut open the part of his body between his throat and the middle of his chest heart and took all the material out of his chest and Abdomen and then washed it with Zamzam water with his own hands till he cleansed the inside of his body; and then a gold tray containing a gold bowl full of belief and wisdom was brought and then Gabriel stuffed his chest and throat blood vessels with it and then closed it the chest. He then ascended with him to the heaven of the world and knocked on one of its doors. The dwellers of the Heaven asked; Who is it? He said; Gabriel. They said; Who is accompanying you? He said; Muhammad. They said; Has he been called? He said; Yes They said; He is welcomed. So the dwellers of the Heaven became pleased with his arrival; and they did not know what Allah would do to the Prophet ﷺ on earth unless Allah informed them. The Prophet ﷺ met Adam over the nearest Heaven. Gabriel said to the Prophet; He is your father; greet him. The Prophet ﷺ greeted him and Adam returned his greeting and said; Welcome; O my Son! O what a good son you are! Behold; he saw two flowing rivers; while he was in the nearest sky. He asked; What are these two rivers; O Gabriel? Gabriel said; These are the sources of the Nile and the Euphrates. Then Gabriel took him around that Heaven and behold; he saw another river at the bank of which there was a palace built of pearls and emerald. He put his hand into the river and found its mud like musk Adhfar. He asked; What is this; O Gabriel? Gabriel said; This is the Kauthar which your Lord has kept for you. Then Gabriel ascended with him to the second Heaven and the angels asked the same questions as those on the first Heaven; i.e.; Who is it? Gabriel replied; Gabriel. They asked; Who is accompanying you? He said; Muhammad. They asked; Has he been sent for? He said; Yes. Then they said; He is welcomed. Then he Gabriel ascended with the Prophet ﷺ to the third Heaven; and the angels said the same as the angels of the first and the second Heavens had said. Then he ascended with him to the fourth Heaven and they said the same; and then he ascended with him to the fifth Heaven and they said the same; and then he ascended with him to the sixth Heaven and they said the same; then he ascended with him to the seventh Heaven and they said the same. On each Heaven there were prophets whose names he had mentioned and of whom I remember Idris on the second Heaven; Aaron on the fourth Heavens another prophet whose name I dont remember; on the fifth Heaven; Abraham on the sixth Heaven; and Moses on the seventh Heaven because of his privilege of talking to Allah directly. Moses said to Allah ; O Lord! I thought that none would be raised up above me. But Gabriel ascended with him the Prophet for a distance above that; the distance of which only Allah knows; till he reached the Lote Tree beyond which none may pass and then the Irresistible; the Lord of Honor and Majesty approached and came closer till he Gabriel was about two bow lengths or even nearer. It is said that it was Gabriel who approached and came closer to the Prophet. Fate AlBari Page 263; 264; Vol. 17. Among the things which Allah revealed to him then; was: Fifty prayers were enjoined on his followers in a day and a night. Then the Prophet ﷺ descended till he met Moses; and then Moses stopped him and asked; O Muhammad ! What did your Lord en join upon you? The Prophet ﷺ replied; He enjoined upon me to perform fifty prayers in a day and a night. Moses said; Your followers cannot do that; Go back so that your Lord may reduce it for you and for them. So the Prophet ﷺ turned to Gabriel as if he wanted to consult him about that issue. Gabriel told him of his opinion; saying; Yes; if you wish. So Gabriel ascended with him to the Irresistible and said while he was in his place; O Lord; please lighten our burden as my followers cannot do that. So Allah deducted for him ten prayers where upon he returned to Moses who stopped him again and kept on sending him back to his Lord till the enjoined prayers were reduced to only five prayers. Then Moses stopped him when the prayers had been reduced to five and said; O Muhammad! By Allah; I tried to persuade my nation; Bani Israel to do less than this; but they could not do it and gave it up. However; your followers are weaker in body; heart; sight and hearing; so return to your Lord so that He may lighten your burden. The Prophet ﷺ turned towards Gabriel for advice and Gabriel did not disapprove of that. So he ascended with him for the fifth time. The Prophet ﷺ said; O Lord; my followers are weak in their bodies; hearts; hearing and constitution; so lighten our burden. On that the Irresistible said; O Muhammad! the Prophet replied; Labbaik and Sadaik. Allah said; The Word that comes from Me does not change; so it will be as I enjoined on you in the Mother of the Book. Allah added; Every good deed will be rewarded as ten times so it is fifty prayers in the Mother of the Book in reward but you are to perform only five in practice. The Prophet ﷺ returned to Moses who asked; What have you done? He said; He has lightened our burden: He has given us for every good deed a tenfold reward. Moses said; By Allah! I tried to make Bani Israel observe less than that; but they gave it up. So go back to your Lord that He may lighten your burden further. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; O Moses! By Allah; I feel shy of returning too many times to my Lord. On that Gabriel said; Descend in Allah Name. The Prophet ﷺ then woke while he was in the Sacred Masjid at Mecca. | The Chapter on Heaven Gabriel Moses And Abraham in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on And to Musa Moses Allah spoke directly in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-227 | Narrated Abdullah Bin Ubaidullah Bin Abi Mulaika: One of the daughters of Uthman died at Mecca. We went to attend her funeral procession. Ibn Umar and Ibn Abbas were also present. I sat in between them or said; I sat beside one of them. Then a man came and sat beside me. Abdullah Bin Umar said to Amr Bin Uthman; Will you not prohibit crying as Allah Messenger ﷺ has said; The dead person is tortured by the crying of his relatives.? Ibn Abbas said; Umar used to say so. Then he added narrating; I accompanied Umar on a journey from Mecca till we reached AlBaida. There he saw some travelers in the shade of a Samura A kind of forest tree. He said to me ; Go and see who those travelers are. So I went and saw that one of them was Suhaib. I told this to Umar who then asked me to call him. So I went back to Suhaib and said to him; Depart and follow the chief of the faithful believers. Later; when Umar was stabbed; Suhaib came in weeping and saying; O my brother; O my friend! on this Umar said to him; O Suhaib! Are you weeping for me while the Prophet ﷺ said; The dead person is punished by some of the weeping of his relatives? Ibn Abbas added; When Umar died I told all this to Aisha and she said; May Allah be merciful to Umar. By Allah; Allah Messenger ﷺ did not say that a believer is punished by the weeping of his relatives. But he said; Allah increases the punishment of a non-believer because of the weeping of his relatives. Aisha further added; The Quran is sufficient for you to clear up this point as Allah has stated: No burdened soul will bear another burden. 35.18. Ibn Abbas then said; Only Allah makes one laugh or cry. Ibn Umar did not say anything after that. | The Chapter on Funerals And The Dead in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The deceased is punished because of the weeping of his relatives in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3989 | Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet ﷺ said; A horse may be kept for one of three purposes: for a man it may be a source of reward; for another it may be a means of living; and for a third it may be a burden a source of committing sins. As for the one for whom it is a source of reward; he is the one who keeps his horse for the sake of Jihad in Allah Cause; he ties it with a long rope on a pasture or in a garden. So whatever its rope allows it to eat; will be regarded as good rewardable deeds for its owner. And if it breaks off its rope and jumps over one or two hillocks; even its dung will be considered amongst his good deeds. And if it passes by a river and drinks water from it; that will be considered as good deeds for his benefit even if he has had no intention of watering it. A horse is a shelter for the one who keeps it so that he may earn his living honestly and takes it as a refuge to keep him from following illegal ways of gaining money ; and does not forget the rights of Allah i.e. paying the Zakat and allowing others to use it for Allah Sake. But a horse is a burden and a source of committing sins for him who keeps it out of pride and pretense and with the intention of harming the Muslims. The Prophet ﷺ was asked about donkeys. He replied; Nothing has been revealed to be concerning them except this comprehensive Verse which covers everything :-Then whosoever has done good equal to the weight of an atom or a small ant ; Shall see it its reward And whosoever has done evil equal to the weight of an atom or a small ant ; Shall see it Its punishment. 99.7-8 | The Chapter on Jihad Manners in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Chapter in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-7274 | Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Horses are kept for one of three purposes: A man may keep them for Allah Cause to receive a reward in the Hereafter; another may keep them as a means of protection; and a third may keep them to be a burden for him. As for the man for whom the horse is a source of reward; he is the one who ties it for Allah Cause; and he ties it with a long rope in a pasture or a garden; then; whatever it eats or drinks in that pasture or garden will be added to his good deeds. And if it breaks its rope and jumps over one or two hills; then; for all its footsteps and its manure; good deeds will be written for him. And if it passes by a river and drinks of its water though its owner had no intention to water it from that river; even then he will have good deeds written for him. So that horse will be a source of reward for such a man. If a man ties a horse for earning his livelihood and abstaining from asking others for help and he does not forget Allah right; i.e. pays its Zakat and gives it to be used in Allah Cause; then that horse will be a means of protection for him. But if a man ties it out of pride and to show off and to excite others; then that horse will be a burden of sins for him. Then Allah Messenger ﷺ was asked regarding donkeys. He replied; Nothing has been revealed to me except this comprehensive Verse which includes everything: So whoever does good equal to the weight of an atom or a smallest ant shall see it; and whoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom or a smallest ant shall see it. 99.7-8 | The Chapter on Jihad Manners in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Prophetic Commentary on the Quran Tafseer of the Prophet in Sahih AlBukhari |

SahihMuslim-017-001-17575 | AlMarur Bin Suwaid said: We went to Abu Dharr Ghifari in Rabadha and he had a mantle over him; and his slave had one like it. We said: Abu Dharr; had you joined them together; it would have been a complete garment. Thereupon he said: There was an altercation between me and one of the persons among my brothers. His mother was a non-Arab. I reproached him for his mother. He complained against me to Allah Apostle ﷺ. As I met Allah Apostle ﷺ he said: Abu Dharr; you are a person who still has in him the remnants of the days of Ignorance. Thereupon I said: Allah Messenger; he who abuses other persons; they abuse in return his father and mother. He the Holy Prophet said: Abu Dharr; you are a person who still has the remnants of Ignorance in him They your servants and slaves are your brothers. Allah has put them in your care; so feed them with what you eat; clothe them with what you wear. and do not burden them beyond their capacities; but if you burden them with an unbearable burden ; then help them by sharing their extra burden. | The Chapter on Jihad And Mercy in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 10 in Sahih Muslim

He the Holy Prophet said: Yes. In the tradition transmitted on the authority of Abu Muawiya the words are : Yes; in this time of your old age. In the tradition transmitted on the authority of Isa the words are : If you burden him with an unbearable burden ; you should sell him and get another slave who can easily undertake this burden. In the hadith transmitted on the authority of Zuhair the words are : Help him in that work. In the hadith transmitted by Abu Muawiya separately there is no such word: Then sell him or help him. SahihMuslim-017-001-17764 | It has been narrated on the authority of Alqama Bin Wail AlHadrami who learnt the tradition from his father. The latter said: Salama Bin Yazid Aljuafi asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ : Prophet of Allah; what do you think if we have rulers who rule over us and demand that we discharge our obligations towards them; but they themselves do not discharge their own responsibilities towards us? What do you order us to do? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ avoided giving any answer. Salama asked him again. He again avoided giving any answer. Then he asked again-it was the second time or the third time-when Ashath Bin Qais finding that the Prophet was unnecessarily being pressed for answer pulled him Aasi de and said: Listen to them and obey them; for on them shall he their burden and on you shall be your burden. | The Chapter on Fulfilling Obligations To Mother Almasjid And Leaders in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 12 in Sahih Muslim

SahihMuslim-017-001-18618 | It is reported on the authority of Abu Huraira that when it was revealed to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ : To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth and whether you disclose that which is in your mind or conceal it; Allah will call you to account according to it. Then He forgives whom He pleases and chastises whom He Pleases; and Allah is over everything Potent ii. 284. the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ felt it hard and severe and they came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and sat down on their knees and said: Messenger of Allah; we were assigned some duties which were within our power to perform; such as prayer; fasting; struggling in the cause of Allah ; charity. Then this the above-mentioned verse was revealed unto you and it is beyond our power to live up to it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Do you intend to say what the people of two books Jews and Christians said before you: We hear and disobey? You should rather say: We hear and we obey; we seek Thy forgiveness; our Lord! and unto Thee is the return. And they said: We hear and we obey; we seek Thy forgiveness; Our Lord! and unto Thee is the return. When the people recited it and it smoothly flowed on their tongues; then Allah revealed immediately afterwards: The Apostle believes in that which is sent down unto him from his Lord; and so do the believers. Each one believes in Allah and His Angels and His Books and His Apostles; saying: We differentiate not between any of His Apostles and they say: We hearken and we obey: we seek Thy forgiveness; our Lord! and unto Thee is the return ii. 285. When they did that; Allah abrogated this verse and the Great; Majestic Allah revealed: Allah burdens not a soul beyond its capacity. It gets every good that it earns and it suffers every ill that it earns. Our Lord; punish us not if we forget or make a mistake. The Prophet said: Yes; our Lord! do not lay on us a burden as Thou didst lay on those before us. The Prophet said: Yes; our Lord; impose not on us burdens which we have not the strength to bear The Prophet said: Yes; and pardon us and grant us protection! and have mercy on us. SahihMuslim-017-001-18619 | It is narrated on the authority of Ibn Abbas: When this verse: Whether you disclose that which is in your mind or conceal it; Allah will call you to account according to it ii 284 ; there entered in their minds something of that fear such as had never entered their hearts before. The Apostle ﷺ observed: Say: We have heard and obeyed and submitted ourselves. He the reporter said: Allah instilled faith in their hearts and He revealed this verse: Allah burdens not a soul beyond its capacity. It gets every good that it earns and it suffers every ill that it earns. Our Lord; call us not to account if we forget or make a mistake. He the Lord said: I indeed did it. SahihMuslim-017-001-21757 | Abdullah Bin Abu Mulaika reported: I was sitting by the side of Ibn Umar; and we were waiting for the bier of Umm Aban; daughter of Uthman; and there was also Amr Bin Uthman. In the meanwhile there came Ibn Abbas led by a guide. I conceive that he was informed of the place of Ibn Umar. So he came till he sat by my side. While I was between them Ibn Abbas and Ibn Umar there came the noise of wailing from the house. Upon this Ibn Umar said that is; he pointed out to Amr that he should stand and forbid them; for : I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: The dead is punished because of the lamentation of his family. Abdullah made it general what was said for a particular occasion. Ibn Abbas said: When we were with the Commander of the believers; Umar Bin AlKhattab; we reached Baida; and there was a man under the shadow of the tree. He said to me: Go and inform me who is that person. So I went and found that he was Suhaib. I returned to him and said: You commanded me to find out for you who that was; and he is Suhaib. He Hadrat Umar said: Command him to see us. I said: He has family along with him. He said: That is of no account even if he has family along with him. So he the narrator told him to see the Commander of the believers and his party. When we came to Medina ; it was before long that the Commander of the believers was wounded; and Suhaib came weeping and crying: Alas for the brother; alas for the companion. Upon this Umar said: Didnt you know; or didnt you hear; that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The dead is punished because of the lamentation of his family? Then Abdullah made it general and Umar told it of certain occasions. So I Abdullah Bin Abu Mulaika stood up and went to Aisha and told her what Ibn Umar had said. Upon this she said: I swear by Allah that Allah Messenger ﷺ never said that dead would be punished because of his family lamenting for him. What he said was that Allah would increase the punishment of the unbeliever because of his family lamenting for him. Verily it is Allah Who has caused laughter and weeping. No bearer of a burden will bear another burden. Ibn Abu Mulaika said that AlQasim Bin Muhammad said that when the words of Umar and Ibn Umar were conveyed to Aisha; she said: You have narrated it to me from those who are neither liar nor those suspected of lying but sometimes hearing misleads. | The Chapter on Funerals And Punishment in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 9 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-21758 | Abdullah Bin Abu Mulaika said: The daughter of Uthman Bin Affan died in Mecca. We came to attend her funeral. Ibn Umar and Ibn Abbas were also present there; and I was sitting between them. He added: I first sat by the side of one of them; then the other one came and he sat by my side. Abdullah Bin Umar said to Amr Bin Uthman who was sitting opposite to him: Will you not prevent the people from lamenting; for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had said: The dead is punished because of the lamenting of his family for him? Ibn Abbas then said that Umar used to say someting of that nature; and then narrated saying: I proceeded from Mecca along with Umar till we reached AlBaida and there was a party of riders under the shade of a tree. He said to me : Go and find out who this party is. I cast a glance and there was Suhaib in that party. So I informed him Umar about it. He said: Call him to me. So I went back to Suhaib and said: Go and meet the Commander of the believers. When Umar was wounded; Suhaib came walling: Alas; for the brother! alas for the companion! Umar said: O Suhaib; do you wail for me; whereas the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The dead would be punished on account of the lamentation of the members of his family ? Ibn Abbas said: When Umar died I made a mention of it to Aisha. She said: May Allah have mercy upon Umar! I swear by Allah that Allah Messenger ﷺ never said that Allah would punish the believer because of the weeping of any one of the members of his family ; but he said that Allah would increase the punishment of the unbeliever because of the weeping of his family over him. Aisha said: The Quran is enough for you when it states : No bearer of burden will bear another burden vi. 164. Thereupon Ibn Abbas said: Allah is He Who has caused laughter and weeping. SahihMuslim-017-001-21927 | Abu Huraira reported Allah Messenger way ﷺ as saying: If any owner of gold or silver does not pay what is due on him; when the Day of Resurrection would come; plates of fire would be beaten out for him; these would then be heated in the fire of Hell and his sides; his forehead and his back would be cauterized with them. Whenever these cool down; the process is repeated during a day the extent of which would be fifty thousand years; until judgment is pronounced among servants; and he sees whether his path is to take him to Paradise or to Hell. It was said: Messenger of Allah; what about the camel? He the Holy Prophet said: If any owner of the camel does not pay what is due on him; and of his due in that camel is also to milk it on the day when it comes down to water. When the Day of Resurrection comes a soft sandy plain would be set for him; as extensive as possible; he will find that not a single young one is missing; and they will trample him with their hoofs and bite him with their mouths. As often as the first of them passes him; the last of them would be made to return during a day the extent of which would be fifty thousand years; until judgment is pronounced among servants and he sees whether his path is to take him to Paradise or to Hell. It was again said: Messenger of Allah; what about cows cattle and sheep? He said: It any owner of the cattle and sheep does not pay what is due on them; when the Day of Resurrection comes a soft sandy plain would be spread for them; he will find none of them missing; with twisted horns; without horns or with a broken horn; and they will gore him with their horns and trample him with their hoofs. As often as the first of them passes him the last of them would be made to return to him during a day the extent of which would be fifty thousand years; until judgment would be pronounced among the servants. And he would be shown his path-path leading him to Paradise or to Hell. It was said: Messenger of Allah; what about the horse? Upon this he said: The horses are of three types. To one than these are a burden; and to another man these are a covering; and still to another man these are a source of reward. The one for whom these are a burden is the person who rears them in order to show off; for vainglory and for opposing the Muslims; so they are a burden for him. The one for whom these are a covering is the person who rears them for the sake of Allah but does not forget the right of Allah concerning their backs and their necks; and so they are a covering for him. As for those which bring reward these refer to the person who rears them for the sake of Allah to be used for Muslims and he puts them in meadow and field. And whatever thing do these eat from that meadow and field would be recorded on his behalf as good deeds; as would also the amount of their dung and urine. And these would not break their halter and prance a course or two without having got recorded the amount of their hoof marks and their dung as a good deed on his behalf on behalf of their owner. And their master does not bring them past a river from which they drink; though he did not intend to quench their thirst; but Allah would record for him the amount of what they drink on his behalf as deeds. It was said: Messenger of Allah; what about the asses?; Upon this he said: Nothing has been revealed to me in regard to the asses in particular except this one verse of a comprehensive nature: He who does an atom weight of good will see it; and he who does an atom weight of evil will see it xcix. 7 | The Chapter on Blowing The Horn In The Day Of Judgment in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 6 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-21929 | Abu Huraira reported Allah Messenger ﷺ as saying: No owner of the treasure who does not pay Zakat would be spared but his hoards would be heated in the Fire of Hell and these would be made into plates and with these his sides; his forehead would be cauterised till Allah would pronounce judgment among His servants during a day; the extent of which would be fifty thousand years. He would then see his path; leading either to Paradise or to Hell. And no owner of the camels who does not pay Zakat would be spared but a soft sandy plain would be set for him and they the camels would be made to pass over him till the last of them would be made to return till Allah would pronounce judgment among His servants during a day the extent of which would be fifty thousand years. He would then see his path leading him to Paradise or leading him to Hell. And no owner of the cattle and goats who does not pay Zakat would be spared but a soft sandy plain would be set for him; he would find none of them missing; with twisted horns; without horns; or with broken horns; and they will gore him with their horns and trample him with their hoofs and they would be made to pass over him till the last of them would be made to return till Allah would pronounce judgment among His servants; during a day the extent of which would be fifty thousand years; and he would see the paths leading to Paradise or to Hell. Suhail said: I do not know whether he made mention of the cows. They said: Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; what about the horses? He said: The horses have goodness in their foreheads or he said or goodness is ingrained in the foreheads of the horses Suhail said: I am in doubt as to what was actually said up till the Day Of Judgment. The horses are of three kinds. They are a source of reward to a person; they are a covering to a person; and they are a burden to a person. As for those which bring reward is that a person would get reward who rears them for the sake of Allah and trains them for Him; and nothing disappears in their stomachs but Allah would record for him a good deed. And if they were to graze in the meadow; they would eat nothing but Allah would record for him a reward. And if they were to drink water from the canal; with every drop that; would disappear in their stomachs there would be reward for the owner. He went on describing till a reward was mentioned for their urine and dung. And if they pranced a course or two; there would be recorded a reward for every pace that they covered. As for one for whom they are a covering; he is the man who rears them for honour and dignity but does not forget the right of their backs and their stomachs; in plenty and adversity; As regards one for whom they are a burden; he is that who rears them for vainglory and showing off to the people; for him they are; the burden. They said: Messenger of Allah; what about asses? SahihMuslim-017-001-21987 | Mundhir Bin Jarir reported on the authority of his father: While we were in the company of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the early hours of the morning; some people came there who were barefooted; naked; wearing striped woollen clothes; or cloaks; with their swords hung around their necks. Most of them; nay; all of them; belonged to the tribe of Mudar. The colour of the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ underwent a change when he saw them in poverty. He then entered his house and came out and commanded Bilal to pronounce Adhan. He pronounced Adhan and Iqima; and he the Holy Prophet observed prayer along with his Companion and then addressed them reciting verses of the Holy Quran : 0 people; fear your Lord; Who created you from a single being to the end of the verse; Allah is ever a Watcher over you iv. 1. He then recited a verse of Surat Hashr: Fear Allah. and let every soul consider that which it sends forth for the morrow and fear Allah lix. 18. Then the audience began to vie with one another in giving charity. Some donated a dinar; others a dirham; still others clothes; some donated a sa of wheat; some a sa of dates; till he the Holy Prophet said: Bring even if it is half a date. Then a person from among the Ansar came there with a money bag which his hands could scarcely lift; in fact; they could not lift. Then the people followed continuously; till I saw two heaps of eatables and clothes; and I saw the face of the Messenger ﷺ glistening; like gold on account of joy. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: He who sets a good precedent in Islam; there is a reward for him for this act of goodness and reward of that also who acted according to it subsequently; without any deduction from their rewards; and he who sets in Islam an evil precedent; there is upon him the burden of that; and the burden of him also who acted upon it subsequently; without any deduction from their burden. | The Chapter on Jihad With Hands in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 20 in Sahih Muslim

MuwataMalik-017-001-34279 | Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; No one calls to guidance without having the same reward as those who follow him without diminishing their rewards at all. And no one calls to error without having the same burdens as they do without diminishing their burdens at all. | The Chapter on Jihad And Ramadan in HodHood Indexing, The Book of The Eclipse Prayer in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-35410 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Zayd Ibn Aslam from Abu Salih AlSamman from Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; Horses are a reward for one man; a protection for another; a burden for another. The one who has them as a reward is the one who dedicates them for use in the way of Allah; and tethers them in a meadow or grassland. Whatever the horse enjoys of the grassland or meadow in the length of its tether are good deeds for him. If it breaks its tether and goes over a hillock or two; its tracks and droppings are good deeds for him. If it crosses a river and drinks from it while he did not mean to allow it to drink it; that counts as good deeds for him; and the horse is a reward for him. Another man uses his horse to gain self reliance and up- standingness and does not forget Allah right on their necks and backs i.e. he does not ill treat or over-work them. Horses are a protection for him. Another man uses them out of pride to show them off and in hostility to the people of Islam. They are a burden on that man. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; was asked about donkeys; and he said; Nothing has been revealed to me about them except this single Allinclusive ayat; Whoever does an atom of good will see it; and whoever does an atom of evil; will see it.
