The horses are of three kinds. They are a source of reward to a person; they are a covering to a person; and they are a burden to a person. As for those which bring reward is that a person would get reward who rears them for the sake of Allah and trains them for Him; and nothing disappears in their stomachs but Allah would record for him a good deed. 5. Abu Huraira reported Allah Messenger way ﷺ as saying: If any owner of gold or silver does not pay what is due on him; when the Day of Resurrection would come; plates of fire would be beaten out for him; these would then be heated in the fire of Hell and his sides; his forehead and his back would be cauterized with them. Whenever these cool down; the process is repeated during a day the extent of which would be fifty thousand years; until judgment is pronounced among servants; and he sees whether his path is to take him to Paradise or to Hell. It was said: Messenger of Allah; what about the camel? He the Holy Prophet said: If any owner of the camel does not pay what is due on him; and of his due in that camel is also to milk it on the day when it comes down to water. When the Day of Resurrection comes a soft sandy plain would be set for him; as extensive as possible; he will find that not a single young one is missing; and they will trample him with their hoofs and bite him with their mouths. As often as the first of them passes him; the last of them would be made to return during a day the extent of which would be fifty thousand years; until judgment is pronounced among servants and he sees whether his path is to take him to Paradise or to Hell. It was again said: Messenger of Allah; what about cows cattle and sheep? He said: It any owner of the cattle and sheep does not pay what is due on them; when the Day of Resurrection comes a soft sandy plain would be spread for them; he will find none of them missing; with twisted horns; without horns or with a broken horn; and they will gore him with their horns and trample him with their hoofs. To one than these are a burden; and to another man these are a covering; and still to another man these are a source of reward. The one for whom these are a burden is the person who rears them in order to show off; for vainglory and for opposing the Muslims; so they are a burden for him. The one for whom these are a covering is the person who rears them for the sake of Allah but does not forget the right of Allah concerning their backs and their necks; and so they are a covering for him. As for those which bring reward these refer to the person who rears them for the sake of Allah to be used for Muslims and he puts them in meadow and field. And whatever thing do these eat from that meadow and field would be recorded on his behalf as good deeds; as would also the amount of their dung and urine. And these would not break their halter and prance a course or two without having got recorded the amount of their hoof marks and their dung as a good deed on his behalf on behalf of their owner. And their master does not bring them past a river from which they drink; though he did not intend to quench their thirst; but Allah would record for him the amount of what they drink on his behalf as deeds. It was said: Messenger of Allah; what about the asses?; Upon this he said: Nothing has been revealed to me in regard to the asses in particular except this one verse of a comprehensive nature: He who does an atom weight of good will see it; and he who does an atom weight of evil will see it xcix. 7 SahihMuslim-017-001-21927
  6. Narrated Anas Bin Malik: Allah Messenger ﷺ offered the prayer on the day of Nahr and then delivered the Khutba and ordered that whoever had slaughtered his sacrifice before the prayer should repeat it; that is; should slaughter another sacrifice. Then a person from the Ansar stood up and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! because of my neighbors he described them as being very needy or poor I slaughtered before the prayer. I have a young goat which; in my opinion; is better than two sheep. The Prophet ﷺ gave him the permission for slaughtering it as a sacrifice. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-420
  7. Narrated Abdullah Bin Maaqil: I sat with Kaab Bin Ujra in this Masjid; i.e. Kufa Masjid; and asked him about the meaning of: Pay a ransom i.e. Fidya of either fasting or.... 2.196 He said; I was taken to the Prophet ﷺ while lice were falling on my face. The Prophet ﷺ said; I did not think that your trouble reached to such an extent. Can you afford to slaughter a sheep as a ransom for shaving your head ? I said; No. He said; Then fast for three days; or feed six poor persons by giving half a Sa of food for each and shave your head. So the above Verse was revealed especially for me and generally for all of you. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6834

So his family slaughtered the animal before the prayer. Then they mentioned that event to the Prophet who ordered AlBara to slaughter another sacrifice. AlBara said to the Prophet ﷺ ; I have a young milch goat which is better than two sheep for slaughtering. The sub-narrator; Ibn aown used to say; I dont know whether the permission to slaughter a goat as a sacrifice was especially given to AlBara or if it was in general for all the Muslims. 5. AlBara reported: My maternal uncle Abu Burda sacrificed his animal before Id prayer. Thereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: That is a goat slaughtered for the sake of flesh and not as a sacrifice on the day of Adha. He said: I have a lamb of six months. Thereupon he said: Offer it as a sacrifice; but it will not justify for anyone except you; and then said: He who sacrificed the animal before Id prayer; he in fact slaughtered it for his own self; and he who slaughtered after prayer; his ritual of sacrifice became complete and he in fact observed the religious practice of the Muslims. And he who slaughtered the animal on that day before the Id prayer ; for him the slaughtering of animal was directed to the acquiring of meat for his family; and there is nothing of the sort of sacrifice in it. It was Abu Burda Bin Niyar who had slaughtered the animal before the Id prayer. He said: I have a small lamb; of less than one year; but better than that of more than a year. Thereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ qaid: Sacrifice it; but it will not suffice as a sacrifice for anyone after you. SahihMuslim-017-001-17242
  7. Narrated Salama Bin AlAqwa: In the evening of the day of the conquest of Khaibar; the army made fires for cooking. The Prophet ﷺ said; For what have you made these fires? They said; For cooking the meat of domestic donkeys. He said; Throw away what is in the cooking pots and break the pots.
