- Narrated Abu Mousa: The Prophet ﷺ said; In a dream I saw myself migrating from Mecca to a place having plenty of date trees. I thought that it was AlYamama or Hajar; but it came to be Medina i.e. Yathrib. In the same dream I saw myself moving a sword and its blade got broken. It came to symbolize the defeat which the Muslims suffered from; on the Day of Uhud. I moved the sword again; and it became normal as before; and that was the symbol of the victory Allah bestowed upon Muslims and their gathering together. I saw cows in my dream; and by Allah; that was a blessing; and they symbolized the believers on the Day of Uhud. And the blessing was the good Allah bestowed upon us and the reward of true belief which Allah gave us after the day of Badr. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3968
- Abdullah Bin Umar reported that Allah Messenger ﷺ said: Three persons set out on a journey. They were overtaken by rain and they had to find protection in a mountain cave where at its mouth there fell a rock of that mountain and thus blocked them altogether. One of them said to the others: Look to your good deeds that you performed for the sake of Allah and then supplicate Allah; the Exalted; that He might rescue you from this trouble. One of them said: 0 Allah; I had my parents who were old and my wife and my small children also. I tended the flock and when I came back to them in the evening; I milked them the sheep; goats; cows; etc. and first served that milk to my parents. One day I was obliged to go out to a distant place in search of fodder and I could not come back before evening and found them the parents asleep. I milked the animals as I used to milk and brought milk to them and stood by their heads avoiding to disturb them from sleep and I did not deem it advisable to serve milk to my children before serving them. My children wept near my feet. I remained there in that very state and my parents too until it was morning. And 0 Allah if Thou art aware that I did this in order to seek Thine pleasure; grant us riddance from this trouble. The rock slipped a bit that they could see the sky. The second one said: 0 Allah; I had a female cousin whom I loved more than the men love the women. I wanted to have sexual intercourse with her; she refused but on the condition of getting one hundred dinirs. It was with very great difficulty that I could collect one hundred dinirs and then paid them to her and when I was going to have a sexual intercourse with her; that she said: Servant of Allah; fear Allah and do not break the seal of chastity but by lawful means. I got up. 0 Allah; if Thou art aware that I did this in order to seek Thine pleasure; rid us from this trouble. The situation was somewhat eased for them. The third one said: Allah; I employed a workman for a measure of rice. After he had finished his work I gave him his dues in the form of a measure of rice; but he did not accept them. I used these rice as seeds; and that gave a bumper crop and I became rich enough to have cows and flocks in my possession. He came to me and said: Fear Allah; and commit no crueltv upon me in regard to my dues. I said to him: Takeaway this flock of cows and sheep. He said: Fear Allah and do not make a fun of me. I said: I am not making a fun of you. You take the cows and the flocks. So he took them. 0 Allah; if Thou art aware that I did it for Thine pleasure; case the situation for us. And Allah relieved them from the rest of the trouble. SahihMuslim-017-001-19296

I thought that it might be the land of AlYamama or Hajar; but behold; it turned out to be Yathrib i.e. Medina. And I saw cows being slaughtered there; but the reward given by Allah is better than worldly benefits. Behold; those cows proved to symbolize the believers who were killed on the Day of the battle of Uhud; and the good which I saw in the dream was the good and the reward and the truth which Allah bestowed upon us after the Badr battle. or the Battle of Uhud and that was the victory bestowed by Allah in the Battle of Khaibar and the conquest of Mecca. - Narrated Abu Huraira: that he heard Allah Messenger ﷺ saying; Allah willed to test three Israelis who were a Leper; a blind man and a bald-headed man. So; he sent them an angel who came to the leper and said; What thing do you like most? He replied; Good color and good skin; for the people have a strong aversion to me. The angel touched him and his illness was cured; and he was given a good color and beautiful skin. The angel asked him; What kind of property do you like best? He replied; Camels or cows. The narrator is in doubt; for either the leper or the bald-headed man demanded camels and the other demanded cows. So he i.e. the leper was given a pregnant camel; and the angel said to him ; May Allah bless you in it. The angel then went to the bald-headed man and said; What thing do you like most? He said; I like good hair and wish to be cured of this disease; for the people feel repulsion for me. The angel touched him and his illness was cured; and he was given good hair. The angel asked him ; What kind of property do you like best? He replied; Cows; The angel gave him a pregnant cow and said; May Allah bless you in it. The angel went to the blind man and asked; What thing do you like best? He said; I like that Allah may restore my eye-sight to me so that I may see the people. The angel touched his eyes and Allah gave him back his eye-sight. The angel asked him; What kind of property do you like best? He replied; Sheep. The angel gave him a pregnant sheep. Afterwards; all the three pregnant animals gave birth to young ones; and multiplied and brought forth so much that one of the three men had a herd of camels filling a valley; and one had a herd of cows filling a valley; and one had a flock of sheep filling a valley. Then the angel; disguised in the shape and appearance of a leper; went to the leper and said; I am a poor man; who has lost all means of livelihood while on a journey. So none will satisfy my need except Allah and then you. In the Name of Him Who has given you such nice color and beautiful skin; and so much property; I ask you to give me a camel so that I may reach my destination. The man replied; I have many obligations so I cannot give you. The angel said; I think I know you; were you not a leper to whom the people had a strong aversion? Werent you a poor man; and then Allah gave you all this property. He replied; This is all wrong ; I got this property through inheritance from my fore-fathers. The angel said; If you are telling a lie; then let Allah make you as you were before. Then the angel; disguised in the shape and appearance of a bald man; went to the bald man and said to him the same as he told the first one; and he too answered the same as the first one did. The angel said; If you are telling a lie; then let Allah make you as you were before. The angel; disguised in the shape of a blind man; went to the blind man and said; I am a poor man and a traveler; whose means of livelihood have been exhausted while on a journey. I have nobody to help me except Allah; and after Him; you yourself. I ask you in the Name of Him Who has given you back your eye-sight to give me a sheep; so that with its help; I may complete my journey. The man said; No doubt; I was blind and Allah gave me back my eye-sight; I was poor and Allah made me rich; so take anything you wish from my property. By Allah; I will not stop you for taking anything you need of my property which you may take for Allah sake. The angel replied; Keep your property with you. You i.e the three men have been tested; and Allah is pleased with you and is angry with your two companions. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4253
- Narrated Ibn Umar: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Once three persons from the previous nations were traveling; and suddenly it started raining and they took shelter in a cave. The entrance of the cave got closed while they were inside. They said to each other; O you! Nothing can save you except the truth; so each of you should ask Allah Help by referring to such a deed as he thinks he did sincerely i.e. just for gaining Allah Pleasure. So one of them said; O Allah! You know that I had a laborer who worked for me for one Faraq i.e. three Sas of rice; but he departed; leaving it i.e. his wages. I sowed that Faraq of rice and with its yield I bought cows for him. Later on when he came to me asking for his wages; I said to him ; Go to those cows and drive them away. He said to me; But you have to pay me only a Faraq of rice; I said to him; Go to those cows and take them; for they are the product of that Faraq of rice. So he drove them. O Allah! If you consider that I did that for fear of You; then please remove the rock. The rock shifted a bit from the mouth of the cave. The second one said; O Allah; You know that I had old parents whom I used to provide with the milk of my sheep every night. One night I was delayed and when I came; they had slept; while my wife and children were crying with hunger. I used not to let them i.e. my family drink unless my parents had drunk first. So I disliked to wake them up and also disliked that they should sleep without drinking it; I kept on waiting for them to wake till it dawned. O Allah! If You consider that I did that for fear of you; then please remove the rock. So the rock shifted and they could see the sky through it. The third one said; O Allah! You know that I had a cousin i.e. my paternal uncle daughter who was most beloved to me and I sought to seduce her; but she refused; unless I paid her one-hundred Dinars i.e. gold pieces. So I collected the amount and brought it to her; and she allowed me to sleep with her. But when I sat between her legs; she said; Be afraid of Allah; and do not deflower me but legally. I got up and left the hundred Dinars for her. O Allah! If You consider that I did that for fear of you than please remove the rock. So Allah saved them and they came out of the cave. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4254
- It was narrated from AlNawas Bin Saman; who said: The Messenger of Allah s.a.w mentioned the Dajjal one morning; he belittled him and mentioned his importance until we thought that he might be amidst a cluster of date-palms. He said: We departed from the presence of the Messenger of Allah s.a.w ; then we returned to him; and he noticed that concern in us. So he said: What is wrong with you? We said: O Messenger of Allah! You mentioned the Dajjal this morning; belittling him; and mentioning his importance until we thought that he might be amidst a cluster of the date-palms. He said: It is not the Dajjal that I fear for you. If he were to appear while I am among you; then I will be his adversary on your behalf. And if he appears and I am not among you; then each man will have to fend for himself. And Allah will take care of every Muslim after me. He is young; with curly hair; his eyes protruding; resembling someone from Abd AlUzza Bin Qatan. Whoever among you sees him; then let him recite the beginning of Surah Ashab AlKahf. He said: He will appear from what is between AlSham and AlIraq; causing devastation toward the right and toward the left. O worshippers of Allah! Hold fast! We said: O Messenger of Allah! How long will he linger on the earth? He said: Forty days; a day like a year; a day like a month; a day like a week; and the remainder of his days are like your days. We said: O Messenger of Allah! Do you think that during the day that is like a year; the Prayer of one day will be sufficient for us? He said: No. You will have to estimate it. We said: O Messenger of Allah! How fast will he move through the earth. He said: Like a rain storm driven by the wind. He will come upon a people and call them; and they will deny him; and reject his claims. Then he will leave them; and their wealth will follow him. They will awaken in the morning with nothing left. Then he will come upon a people and call them; and they will respond to him; believing in him. So he will order the Heavens to bring rain; and it shall rain; and he will order the land to sprout; and it will sprout. Their cattle will return to them with their coats the longest; their udders the fullest and their stomachs the fattest. He said: Then he will come upon some ruins; saying to it: Bring me your treasures! He will turn to leave it; and it will follow him; like drone bees. Then he will call a young man; full of youth; and he will strike him with the sword cutting him into two pieces. Then he will call him; and he will come forward with his face beaming and laughing. So while he is doing that; Eisa Bin Mariam; ﷺ ; will descend in eastern Damascus at the white minaret; between two Mahrud; with his hands on the wings of two angels. When he lowers his head; drops fall; and when raises it; gems like pearls drop from him. He said: His the Dajjals breath does not reach anyone but he dies; and his breath reaches as far as his sight. He said: So he pursues him the Dajjal and he catches up with him at the gate of Ludd where he kills him. He said: So he remains there as long as Allah wills. He said: Then Allah reveals to him: Take my slaves to AlTur; for I have sent down some creatures of Mine which no one shall be able to kill. He said: Allah dispatches Yajuj and Majuj; and they are as Allah said: They swoop down from every mount. He said: The first of them pass by the lake of Tiberias; drinking what is in it. Then the last of them pass by it saying: There was water here at one time. They travel until they reach a mountain at Bait AlMaqdis. They will say: We have killed whoever was in the earth. Come! Let us kill whoever is in the skies. They will shoot their arrows into the Heavens; so Allah will return their arrows to them red with blood. Eisa Bin Mariam and his Companions be surrounded; until the head of a bull on that day would be better to them than a hundred Dinar to one of you today. He s.a.w said: Eisa will beseech Allah; as will his companions. He said: So Allah will send AlNaghaf down upon their necks. In the morning they will find that they have all died like the death of a single soul. He said: Eisa and his companions will come down; and no spot nor hand-span can be found; except that it is filled with their stench; decay and blood. So Eisa will beseech Allah; as will his companions. So Allah will send upon them birds like the necks of Bukht milch camels. They will carry them off and cast them into an abyss. The Muslims will burn their bows; arrows and quivers for seventy years. He s.a.w said: Allah will send upon them a rain which no house of hide nor mud will bear. The earth will be washed; leaving it like a mirror. Then it will be said to the earth: bring forth your fruits and return your blessings. So on that day; a whole troop would eat a pomegranate and seek shade under its skin. Milk will be so blessed that a large group of people will be sufficed by one milking of a camel. And that a tribe will be sufficed by one milking of a cow; and that a group will be sufficed by the milking of sheep. While it is like that; Allah will send a wind which grabs the soul of every believer; leaving the remainder of the people copulating publicly like the copulation of donkeys. Upon them the Hour shall begin. SunanAlTermithi-017-001-10339
- Narrated Abdullah Bin Umar: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: If any of you can become like the man who had a faraq of rice; he should become like him. They the people asked: Who is the man who had a faraq of rice with him; Messenger of Allah ? Thereupon he narrated the story of the cave when a hillock fell on them three persons ; each of them said: Mention any best work of yours. The narrator said: The third of them said: O Allah; you know that I took a hireling for a faraq of rice. When the evening came; I presented to him his due i.e. his wages. But he refused to take it and went away. I then cultivated it until I amassed cows and their herdsmen for him. He then met me and said: Give me my dues. I said to him : Go to those cows and their herdsmen and take them all. He went and drove them away. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-28877
- Narrated Ibn Umar: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; While three persons were traveling; they were overtaken by rain and they took shelter in a cave in a mountain. A big rock fell from the mountain over the mouth of the cave and blocked it. They said to each other. Think of such good righteous deeds which; you did for Allah sake only; and invoke Allah by giving reference to those deeds so that Allah may relieve you from your difficulty. one of them said; O Allah! I had my parents who were very old and I had small children for whose sake I used to work as a shepherd. When I returned to them at night and milked the sheep ; I used to start giving the milk to my parents first before giving to my children. And one day I went far away in search of a grazing place for my sheep ; and didnt return home till late at night and found that my parents had slept. I milked my livestock as usual and brought the milk vessel and stood at their heads; and I disliked to wake them up from their sleep; and I also disliked to give the milk to my children before my parents though my children were crying from hunger at my feet. So this state of mine and theirs continued till the day dawned. O Allah! If you considered that I had done that only for seeking Your pleasure; then please let there be an opening through which we can see the sky. So Allah made for them an opening through which they could see the sky. Then the second person said; O Allah! I had a cousin whom I loved as much as a passionate man love a woman. I tried to seduce her but she refused till I paid her one-hundred Dinars So I worked hard till I collected one hundred Dinars and went to her with that But when I sat in between her legs to have sexual intercourse with her ; she said; O Allah slave! Be afraid of Allah ! Do not deflower me except legally by marriage contract. So I left her O Allah! If you considered that I had done that only for seeking Your pleasure then please let the rock move a little to have a wider opening. So Allah shifted that rock to make the opening wider for them. And the last third person said O Allah ! I employed a laborer for wages equal to a Faraq a certain measure: of rice; and when he had finished his job he demanded his wages; but when I presented his due to him; he gave it up and refused to take it. Then I kept on sowing that rice for him several times till managed to buy with the price of the yield; some cows and their shepherd Later on the laborer came to me an said. O Allah slave! Be afraid o Allah; and do not be unjust to me an give me my due. I said to him. Go and take those cows and their shepherd. So he took them and went away. So; O Allah! If You considered that I had done that for seeking Your pleasure; then please remove the remaining part of the rock. And so Allah released them from their difficulty. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2494

- Abu Huraira; narrated that he heard Allah Messenger ﷺ as saying: There were three persons in Bani Israil; one suffering from leprosy; the other bald-headed and the third one blind. Allah decided to test them. So He sent an angel who came to the one who was suffering from leprosy and said: Which thing do you like most? He said: Beautiful colour and fine skin and removal of that which makes me detestable in the eye of people. He wiped him and his illness was no more and he was conferred upon beautiful colour and beautiful skin. He the angel again said: Which property do you like most? He said: Camels; or he said: The cow the narrator is; however; doubtful about it; but out of the persons suffering from leprosy or baldness one of them definitely said: The camel. And the other one said: Cow. And he one who demanded camel was bestowed upon a camel; in an advanced stage of pregnancy; and while giving he said: May Allah bless you in this. Then he came to the bald-headed person and said: Which thing do you like most? He said: Beautiful hair and that this baldness may be removed from me because of which people hate me. He wiped his body and his illness was removed and he was bestowed upon beautiful hair; and the angel said: Which wealth do you like most? He said: The cow. And he was given a pregnant cow and while handing it over to him he the angel said: May Allah bless you in this. Then he came to the blind man and he said: Which thing do you like most? He said: Allah should restore my eyesight so that I should be able to see people with the help of that. He wiped his body and Allah restored to him his eyesight; and he the angel also said: Which wealth do you like most? He said: The flock of sheep. And he was given a pregnant goat and that gave birth to young ones and it so happened that one valley abounded in camels and the other one in cows and the third one in sheep. He then came to the one who had suffered from leprosy in his old form and shape and he said: I am a poor person and my provision has run short in my journey and there is none to take me to my destination except with the help of Allah and your favour. I beg of you in His name Who gave you fine colour and fine skin; and the camel in the shape of wealth to confer upon me a camel which should carry me in my journey. He said: I have many responsibilities to discharge. Thereupon he said: I perceive as if I recognise you. Were you not suffering from leprosy whom people hated and you were a destitute and Allah conferred upon you wealth ? He said: I have inherited this property from my forefathers. Thereupon he said: If you are a liar may Allah change you to that very position in which you had been. He then came to the one who was bald-headed in his old form and said to him the same what he had said to him one suffering from leprosy and he gave him the same reply as he had given him and he said: If you are a liar; may Allah turn you to your previous position in which you had been. And then he came to the blind man in his old form and shape and he said: I am a destitute person and a wayfarer. My provision have ran short and today there is no way to reach the destination but with the help of Allah and then with your help and I beg of you in the name of One Who restored your eyesight and gave you the flock of sheep to give me a sheep by which I should be able to make my provisions for the journey. He said: I was blind and Allah restored to me my eyesight; you take whatever you like and leave whatever you like. By Allah; I shall not stand in your way today for what you take in the name of God. Thereupon; he said: You keep with you what you have in your possession. The fact is that you three were put to test and Allah is well pleased with you and He is annoyed with your companions. - Abu Huraira reported Allah Messenger ﷺ as saying: No owner of the treasure who does not pay Zakat would be spared but his hoards would be heated in the Fire of Hell and these would be made into plates and with these his sides; his forehead would be cauterised till Allah would pronounce judgment among His servants during a day; the extent of which would be fifty thousand years. He would then see his path; leading either to Paradise or to Hell. And no owner of the camels who does not pay Zakat would be spared but a soft sandy plain would be set for him and they the camels would be made to pass over him till the last of them would be made to return till Allah would pronounce judgment among His servants during a day the extent of which would be fifty thousand years. He would then see his path leading him to Paradise or leading him to Hell. And no owner of the cattle and goats who does not pay Zakat would be spared but a soft sandy plain would be set for him; he would find none of them missing; with twisted horns; without horns; or with broken horns; and they will gore him with their horns and trample him with their hoofs and they would be made to pass over him till the last of them would be made to return till Allah would pronounce judgment among His servants; during a day the extent of which would be fifty thousand years; and he would see the paths leading to Paradise or to Hell. Suhail said: I do not know whether he made mention of the cows. They said: Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; what about the horses? He said: The horses have goodness in their foreheads or he said or goodness is ingrained in the foreheads of the horses Suhail said: I am in doubt as to what was actually said up till the Day of judgement. The horses are of three kinds. They are a source of reward to a person; they are a covering to a person; and they are a burden to a person. As for those which bring reward is that a person would get reward who rears them for the sake of Allah and trains them for Him; and nothing disappears in their stomachs but Allah would record for him a good deed. And if they were to graze in the meadow; they would eat nothing but Allah would record for him a reward. And if they were to drink water from the canal; with every drop that; would disappear in their stomachs there would be reward for the owner. He went on describing till a reward was mentioned for their urine and dung. And if they pranced a course or two; there would be recorded a reward for every pace that they covered. As for one for whom they are a covering; he is the man who rears them for honour and dignity but does not forget the right of their backs and their stomachs; in plenty and adversity; As regards one for whom they are a burden; he is that who rears them for vainglory and showing off to the people; for him they are; the burden. They said: Messenger of Allah; what about asses? He said: Allah has not revealed to me anything in regards to it except this one comprehensive verse: He who does an atom weight of good will see it; and he who does an atom weight of evil will see it xcix. 7. - Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; On the Day of Resurrection the Kanz Treasure or wealth of which; Zakat has not been paid of anyone of you will appear in the shape of a huge bald headed poisonous male snake and its owner will run away from it; but it will follow him and say; I am your Kanz. The Prophet ﷺ added; By Allah; that snake will keep on following him until he stretches out his hand and let the snake swallow it. Allah Messenger ﷺ added; If the owner of camels does not pay their Zakat; then; on the Day of Resurrection those camels will come to him and will strike his face with their hooves. Some people said: Concerning a man who has camels; and is afraid that Zakat will be due so he sells those camels for similar camels or for sheep or cows or money one day before Zakat becomes due in order to avoid payment of their Zakat cunningly! He has not to pay anything. The same scholar said; If one pays Zakat of his camels one day or one year prior to the end of the year by the end of which Zakat becomes due ; his Zakat will be valid. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1979
- AlNawas Bin Saman reported that Allah Messenger ﷺ made a mention of the Dajjal one day in the morning. He ﷺ sometimes described him to be insignificant and sometimes described his turmoil as very significant and we felt as if he were in the cluster of the date-palm trees. When we went to him to the Holy Prophet in the evening and he read the signs of fear in our faces; he ﷺ said: What is the matter with you? We said: Allah Messenger; you made a mention of the Dajjal in the morning sometimes describing him to be insignificant and sometimes very important; until we began to think as if he were present in some near part of the cluster of the date-palm trees. Thereupon he ﷺ said: I harbor fear in regard to you in so many other things besides the Dajjal. If he comes forth while I am among you; I shall contend with him on your behalf; but if he comes forth while I am not amongst you; a man must contend on his own behalf and Allah would take care of every Muslim on my behalf and safeguard him against his evil. He Dajjal would be a young man with twisted; contracted hair; and a blind eye. I compare him to Abd AlUzza Bin Qatan. He who amongst you would survive to see him should recite over him the opening verses of Surat Kahf xviii. He would appear on the way between Syria and Iraq and would spread mischief right and left. O servant of Allah! adhere to the path of Truth. We said: Allah Messenger; how long would he stay on the earth? He ﷺ said: For forty days; one day like a year and one day like a month and one day like a week and the rest of the days would be like your days. We said: Allah Messenger; would one day prayer suffice for the prayers of day equal to one year? Thereupon he ﷺ said: No; but you must make an estimate of time and then observe prayer. We said: Allah Messenger; how quickly would he walk upon the earth? Thereupon he ﷺ said: Like cloud driven by the wind. He would come to the people and invite them to a wrong religion and they would affirm their faith in him and respond to him. He would then give command to the sky and there would be rainfall upon the earth and it would grow crops. Then in the evening; their pasturing animals would come to them with their humps very high and their udders full of milk and their flanks stretched. He would then come to another people and invite them. But they would reject him and he would go away from them and there would be drought for them and nothing would be left with them in the form of wealth. He would then walk through the waste land and say to it: Bring forth your treasures; and the treasures would come out and collect themselves before him like the swarm of bees. He would then call a person brimming with youth and strike him with the sword and cut him into two pieces and make these pieces lie at a distance which is generally between the archer and his target. He would then call that young man and he will come forward laughing with his face gleaming with happiness and it would be at this very time that Allah would send Christ; son of Mary; and he will descend at the white minaret in the eastern side of Damascus wearing two garments lightly dyed with saffron and placing his hands on the wings of two Angels. When he would lower his head; there would fall beads of perspiration from his head; and when he would raise it up; beads like pearls would scatter from it. Every non-believer who would smell the odor of his self would die and his breath would reach as far as he would be able to see. He would then search for him Dajjal until he would catch hold of him at the gate of Ludd and would kill him. Then a people whom Allah had protected would come to Jesus; son of Mary; and he would wipe their faces and would inform them of their ranks in Paradise and it would be under such conditions that Allah would reveal to Jesus these words: I have brought forth from amongst My servants such people against whom none would be able to fight; you take these people safely to Tur. And then Allah would send Gog and Magog and they would swarm down from every slope. The first of them would pass the lake of Tiberias and drink out of it. And when the last of them would pass; he would say: There was once water there. Jesus and his companions would then be besieged here at Tur; and they would be so much hard pressed that the head of the ox would be dearer to them than one hundred dinars and Allah Apostle; Jesus; and his companions would supplicate Allah; Who would send to them insects which would attack their necks and in the morning they would perish like one single person. Allah Apostle; Jesus; and his companions would then come down to the earth and they would not find in the earth as much space as a single span which is not filled with their putrefaction and stench. Allah Apostle; Jesus; and his companions would then again beseech Allah; Who would send birds whose necks would be like those of Bactrian camels and they would carry them and throw them where God would will. Then Allah would send rain which no house of clay or the tent of camels hairs would keep out and it would wash away the earth until it could appear to be a mirror. Then the earth would be told to bring forth its fruit and restore its blessing and; as a result thereof; there would grow such a big pomegranate that a group of persons would be able to eat that; and seek shelter under its skin and milch cow would give so much milk that a whole party would be able to drink it. And the milch camel would give such a large quantity of milk that the whole tribe would be able to drink out of that and the milch sheep would give so much milk that the whole family would be able to drink out of that and at that time Allah would send a pleasant wind which would soothe people even under their armpits; and would take the life of every Muslim and only the wicked would survive who would commit adultery like asses and the Last Hour would come to them. SahihMuslim-017-001-19240
- Abu Huraira reported Allah Messenger way ﷺ as saying: If any owner of gold or silver does not pay what is due on him; when the Day of Resurrection would come; plates of fire would be beaten out for him; these would then be heated in the fire of Hell and his sides; his forehead and his back would be cauterized with them. Whenever these cool down; the process is repeated during a day the extent of which would be fifty thousand years; until judgment is pronounced among servants; and he sees whether his path is to take him to Paradise or to Hell. It was said: Messenger of Allah; what about the camel? He the Holy Prophet said: If any owner of the camel does not pay what is due on him; and of his due in that camel is also to milk it on the day when it comes down to water. When the Day of Resurrection comes a soft sandy plain would be set for him; as extensive as possible; he will find that not a single young one is missing; and they will trample him with their hoofs and bite him with their mouths. As often as the first of them passes him; the last of them would be made to return during a day the extent of which would be fifty thousand years; until judgment is pronounced among servants and he sees whether his path is to take him to Paradise or to Hell. It was again said: Messenger of Allah; what about cows cattle and sheep? He said: It any owner of the cattle and sheep does not pay what is due on them; when the Day of Resurrection comes a soft sandy plain would be spread for them; he will find none of them missing; with twisted horns; without horns or with a broken horn; and they will gore him with their horns and trample him with their hoofs. As often as the first of them passes him the last of them would be made to return to him during a day the extent of which would be fifty thousand years; until judgment would be pronounced among the servants. And he would be shown his path-path leading him to Paradise or to Hell. It was said: Messenger of Allah; what about the horse? Upon this he said: The horses are of three types. To one than these are a burden; and to another man these are a covering; and still to another man these are a source of reward. The one for whom these are a burden is the person who rears them in order to show off; for vainglory and for opposing the Muslims; so they are a burden for him. The one for whom these are a covering is the person who rears them for the sake of Allah but does not forget the right of Allah concerning their backs and their necks; and so they are a covering for him. As for those which bring reward these refer to the person who rears them for the sake of Allah to be used for Muslims and he puts them in meadow and field. And whatever thing do these eat from that meadow and field would be recorded on his behalf as good deeds; as would also the amount of their dung and urine. And these would not break their halter and prance a course or two without having got recorded the amount of their hoof marks and their dung as a good deed on his behalf on behalf of their owner. And their master does not bring them past a river from which they drink; though he did not intend to quench their thirst; but Allah would record for him the amount of what they drink on his behalf as deeds. It was said: Messenger of Allah; what about the asses?; Upon this he said: Nothing has been revealed to me in regard to the asses in particular except this one verse of a comprehensive nature: He who does an atom weight of good will see it; and he who does an atom weight of evil will see it xcix. 7 SahihMuslim-017-001-21927
- Narrated Abu Huraira: Once Allah Messenger ﷺ ; offered the morning prayer and then faced the people and said; While a man was driving a cow; he suddenly rode over it and beat it. The cow said; We have not been created for this; but we have been created for sloughing. On that the people said astonishingly; Glorified be Allah! A cow speaks! The Prophet ﷺ said; I believe this; and Abu Bakr and Umar too; believe it; although neither of them was present there. While a person was amongst his sheep; a wolf attacked and took one of the sheep. The man chased the wolf till he saved it from the wolf; where upon the wolf said; You have saved it from me; but who will guard it on the day of the wild beasts when there will be no shepherd to guard them except me because of riots and afflictions ? The people said surprisingly; Glorified be Allah! A wolf speaks! The Prophet ﷺ said; But I believe this; and Abu Bakr and Umar too; believe this; although neither of them was present there. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1667 | Narrated Abu Mousa: The Prophet ﷺ said; I saw in a dream that I was migrating from Mecca to a land where there were date palm trees. | The Chapter on Changing The Qiblah in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on If one sees in a dream cows being slaughtered in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4253 | Narrated Abu Huraira: that he heard Allah Messenger ﷺ saying; Allah willed to test three Israelis who were a Leper; a blind man and a bald-headed man. | The Chapter on Angeles And Good Deeds And The Companions in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The tale of three Israelites a leper a bald man and a blind man in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4254 | Narrated Ibn Umar: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Once three persons from the previous nations were traveling; and suddenly it started raining and they took shelter in a cave. | The Chapter on Rain And Clouds And Mountains in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The tale of the Cave in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4260 | Narrated Abu Huraira: Once Allah Messenger ﷺ ; offered the morning prayer and then faced the people and said; While a man was driving a cow; he suddenly rode over it and beat it. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4751 | Narrated Muharib Bin Dithar: Jabir Bin Abdullah said; When Allah Messenger ﷺ arrived at Medina; he slaughtered a camel or a cow. Jabir added; The Prophet ﷺ bought a camel from me for two Uqiyas of gold and one or two Dirhams. When he reached Sirar; he ordered that a cow be slaughtered and they ate its meat. When he arrived at Medina; he ordered me to go to the Masjid and offer two rakat; and weighed and gave me the price of the camel. | The Chapter on Live Stock Ablution After Eating Meat in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Taking meals on AlRival from a journey in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5072 | Narrated Abdullah Bin Umar: The Prophet ﷺ said; While three men were walking; It started raining and they took shelter refuge in a cave in a mountain. A big rock rolled down from the mountain and closed the mouth of the cave. They said to each other; Think of good deeds which you did for Allah sake only; and invoke Allah by giving reference to those deeds so that He may remove this rock from you. One of them said; O Allah! I had old parents and small children and I used to graze the sheep for them. On my return to them in the evening; I used to milk the sheep and start providing my parents first of all before my children. One day I was delayed and came late at night and found my parents sleeping. I milked the sheep as usual and stood by their heads. I hated to wake them up and disliked to give milk to my children before them; although my children were weeping because of hunger at my feet till the day dawned. O Allah! If I did this for Your sake only; kindly remove the rock so that we could see the sky through it. So; Allah removed the rock a little and they saw the sky. The second man said; O Allah! I was in love with a cousin of mine like the deepest love a man may have for a woman. I wanted to outrage her chastity but she refused unless I gave her one hundred Dinars. So; I struggled to collect that amount. And when I sat between her legs; she said; O Allah slave! Be afraid of Allah and do not deflower me except rightfully by marriage. So; I got up. O Allah! If I did it for Your sake only; please remove the rock. The rock shifted a little more. Then the third man said; O Allah! I employed a laborer for a Faraq of rice and when he finished his job and demanded his right; I presented it to him; but he refused to take it. So; I sowed the rice many time till I gathered cows and their shepherd from the yield. Then after some time He came and said to me; Fear Allah and give me my right. I said; Go and take those cows and the shepherd. He said; Be afraid of Allah! Dont mock at me. I said; I am not mocking at you. Take all that. So; he took all that. O Allah! If I did that for Your sake only; please remove the rest of the rock. So; Allah removed the rock. | The Chapter on Rain And Clouds And Mountains in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on If a person invests the money of someone else in cultivation in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5484 | Narrated Ibn Umar: The Prophet ﷺ said; While three persons were walking; rain began to fall and they had to enter a cave in a mountain. A big rock rolled over and blocked the mouth of the cave. They said to each other; Invoke Allah with the best deed you have performed so Allah might remove the rock. One of them said; O Allah! My parents were old and I used to go out for grazing my animals. On my return I would milk the animals and take the milk in a vessel to my parents to drink. After they had drunk from it; I would give it to my children; family and wife. One day I was delayed and on my return I found my parents sleeping; and I disliked to wake them up. The children were crying at my feet because of hunger. That state of affairs continued till it was dawn. O Allah! If You regard that I did it for Your sake; then please remove this rock so that we may see the sky. So; the rock was moved a bit. The second said; O Allah! You know that I was in love with a cousin of mine; like the deepest love a man may have for a woman; and she told me that I would not get my desire fulfilled unless I paid her one-hundred Dinars gold pieces. So; I struggled for it till I gathered the desired amount; and when I sat in between her legs; she told me to be afraid of Allah; and asked me not to deflower her except rightfully by marriage. So; I got up and left her. O Allah! If You regard that I did if for Your sake; kindly remove this rock. So; two-thirds of the rock was removed. Then the third man said; O Allah! No doubt You know that once I employed a worker for one Faraq three Sas of millet; and when I wanted to pay him; he refused to take it; so I sowed it and from its yield I bought cows and a shepherd. After a time that man came and demanded his money. I said to him: Go to those cows and the shepherd and take them for they are for you. He asked me whether I was joking with him. I told him that I was not joking with him; and all that belonged to him. O Allah! If You regard that I did it sincerely for Your sake; then please remove the rock. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6429 | Narrated Abu Mousa: The Prophet ﷺ said; I saw in a dream that I moved a sword and its blade got broken; and that symbolized the casualties which the believers suffered on the day of Uhud. Then I moved it again; and it became as perfect as it had been; and that symbolized the Conquest of Mecca which Allah helped us to achieve; and the union of all the believers. I also saw cows in the dream; and what Allah does is always beneficial. SahihMuslim-017-001-19296 | Abdullah Bin Umar reported that Allah Messenger ﷺ said: Three persons set out on a journey. | The Chapter on Live Stock Milk And Graze in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 2 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-22836 | Aisha Allah be pleased with her reported: We went with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with no other aim but that of Hajj till we came to the place known as Sarif; and there I entered in the state of menses. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to me while I was weeping. He said: What makes you weep? I said: Would that I had not come for Pilgrimage this year. He the Holy Prophet said: What has happened to you? You have perhaps entered the period of menses. I said: Yes. He said: This is what has been ordained for the daughters of Adam. Do what a pilgrim does except that you should not circumambulate the House; till you are purified of the menses. She Aisha said: When I came to Mecca; the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to his companions: Make this Ihram the Ihram for Umra. So the people put off Ihram except those who had sacrificial animals with them. She Aisha said: The Apostle of Allah ﷺ had the sacrificial animal with him; and so had Abu Bakr; Umar and other persons of means. They those who had put off Ihram again put on Ihram for Hajj when they marched towards Mina ; and it was the 8th of Dhu AlHijja. She Aisha said: When it was the day of sacrifice 10th of Dhu AlHijja ; I was purified; and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded me and I did the circumambulation of Ifada. She said that the flesh of cow was sent to us. I said: What is it? They said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has offered a cow as sacrifice on behalf of his wives. When it was the night at Hasba; I said: Messenger of Allah; people are coming back from Hajj and Umra; where as I am coming back from Hajj alone. She Aisha reported: He the Holy Prophet commanded Abdulrahman Bin Abu Bakr to mount me upon his camel behind him. She Aisha said: I was very young and I well remember that I dozed off and my face touched the hind part of the haudaj camel litter till we came to Tanim; and entered into the state of Ihram in lieu of Umra which I for the time being abandoned and which the people had performed. | The Chapter on The Command In Alhajj in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 17 in Sahih Muslim

SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25781 | Narrated Abu Dawud: I found in my notebook from Shaiban and I did not hear from him ; Abu Bakr; a reliable friend of ours; said: Shaiban - Muhammad Bin Rashid - Sulaiman Bin Mousad - Amr Bin Suhaib; On his father authority; said that his grandfather said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would fix the blood-money for accidental killing at the rate of four hundred dinars or their equivalent in silver for townsmen; and he would fix it according to the price of camels. So when they were dear; he increased the amount to be paid; and when cheap prices prevailed he reduced the amount to be paid. In the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ they reached between four hundred and eight hundred dinars; their equivalent in silver being eight thousand dirhams. He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave judgment that those who possessed cattle should pay two hundred cows; and those who possessed sheep two thousand sheep. He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The blood-money is to be treated as something to be inherited by the heirs of the one who has been killed; and the remainder should be divided among the agnates. He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave judgment that for cutting off a nose completely there was full blood-money; one hundred camels were to be paid. If the tip of the nose was cut off; half of the blood-money;i.e. fifty camels were to be paid; or their equivalent in gold or in silver; or a hundred cows; or one thousand sheep. For the hand; when it was cut of;f half of the blood-money was to be paid; for one foot of half; the blood-money was to be paid. For a wound in the head; a third of the blood-money was due; i.e. thirty-three camels and a third of the blood-money; or their equivalent in gold; silver; cows or sheep. For a head thrust which reaches the body; the same blood-money was to be paid. Ten camels were to be paid for every finger; and five camels for every tooth. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave judgment that the blood-money for a woman should be divided among her relatives on her father side; who did not inherit anything from her except the residence of her heirs. If she was killed; her blood-money should be distributed among her heirs; and they would have the right of taking revenge on the murderer. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: There is nothing for the murderer; and if he the victim has no heir; his heir will be the one who is nearest to him among the people; but the murderer should not inherit anything. MuwataMalik-017-001-35385 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Umara Ibn Yasar that Ata Ibn Yasar told him that Abu Ayoub AlAnsari had told him; We used to sacrifice one sheep; and a man sacrificed for himself and his family. Then later on people began to compete with each other and it became boasting. Malik said; The best that I have heard about a single camel; cow or sheep; is that a man should sacrifice a camel for himself and his family. He sacrifices a cow or sheep which he owns for his family; and shares with them in it. It is disapproved for a group of people to buy a camel; cow or sheep; to share for the ritual and sacrifices; each man giving a share of its price; and taking a share of its meat. We have heard the tradition that people do not share in the ritual. However; it may be that the people of one household can share. | The Chapter on Animal Sacrifice And Cows in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Jihad in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-35571 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Humayd Ibn Qays AlMakki from Tawus AlYamani that from thirty cows; Muadh Ibn Jabal took one cow in its second year; and from forty cows; one cow in its third or fourth year; and when less than that i.e. thirty cows was brought to him he refused to take anything from it. He said; I have not heard anything about it from the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace. When I meet him; I will ask him. But the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; died before Muadh Ibn Jabal returned. Yahya said that Malik said; The best that I have heard about some one who has sheep or goats with two or more shepherds in different places is that they are added together and the owner then pays the zakat on them. This is the same situation as a man who has gold and silver scattered in the hands of various people. He must add it all u p and pay whatever zakat there is to pay on the sum total. Yahya said that Malik said; about a man who had both sheep and goats; that they were added up together for the zakat to be assessed; and if between them they came to a number on which zakat was due; he paid zakat on them. Malik added; They are all considered as sheep; and in Umar Ibn AlKhattab book it says; On grazing sheep and goats; if they come to forty or more; one ewe. Malik said; If there are more sheep than goats and their owner only has to pay one ewe; the zakat collector takes the ewe from the sheep. If there are more goats than sheep; he takes it from the goats. If there is an equal number of sheep and goats; he takes the ewe from whichever kind he wishes. Yahya said that Malik said; Similarly; Arabian camels and Bactrian camels are added up together in order to assess the zakat that the owner has to pay. They are all considered as camels. If there are more Arabian camels than Bactrians and the owner only has to pay one camel; the zakat collector takes it from the Arabian ones. If; however; there are more Bactrian camels he takes it from those. If there is an equal number of both; he takes the camel from whichever kind he wishes. Malik said; Similarly; cows and water buffaloes are added up together and are all considered as cattle. If there are more cows than water buffalo and the owner only has to pay one cow; the zakat collector takes it from the cows. If there are more water buffalo; he takes it from them. If there is an equal number of both; he takes the cow from whichever kind he wishes. So if zakat is necessary; it is assessed taking both kinds as one group. Yahya said that Malik said; No zakat is due from anyone who comes into possession of livestock; whether camels or cattle or sheep and goats; until a year has elapsed over them from the day he acquired them; unless he already had in his possession a nisab of livestock. The nisab is the minimum amount on which zakat has to be paid; either five head of camels; or thirty cattle; or forty sheep and goats. If he already had five head of camels; or thirty cattle; or forty sheep and goats; and he then acquired additional camels; or cattle; or sheep and goats; either by trade; or gift; or inheritance; he must pay zakat on them when he pays the zakat on the livestock he already has; even if a year has not elapsed over the acquisition. And even if the additional livestock that he acquired has had zakat taken from it the day before he bought it; or the day before he inherited it; he must still pay the zakat on it when he pays the zakat on the livestock he already has Yahya said that Malik said; This is the same situation as some one who has some silver on which he pays the zakat and then uses to buy some goods with from somebody else. He then has to pay zakat on those goods when he sells them. It could be that one man will have to pay zakat on them one day; and by the following day the other man will also have to pay. Malik said; in the case of a man who had sheep and goats which did not reach the zakatable amount; and who then bought or inherited an additional number of sheep and goats well above the zakatable amount; that he did not have to pay zakat on all his sheep and goats until a year had elapsed over them from the day he acquired the new animals; whether he bought them or inherited them. This was because none of the livestock that a man had; whether it be camels; or cattle; or sheep and goats; was counted as a nisab until there was enough of any one kind for him to have to pay zakat on it. This was the nisab which is used for assessing the zakat on what the owner had additionally acquired; whether it were a large or small amount of livestock. Malik said; If a man has enough camels; or cattle; or sheep and goats; for him to have to pay zakat on each kind; and then he acquires another camel; or cow; or sheep; or goat; it must be included with the rest of his animals when he pays zakat on them Yahya said that Malik said; This is what I like most out of what I heard about the matter. Malik said; in the case of a man who does not have the animal required of him for the zakat; If it is a two-year-old camel that he does not have; a three-year-old male camel is taken instead. If it is a three- or four- or five-year-old camel that he does not have; then he must buy the required animal so that he gives the collector what is due. I do not like it if the owner gives the collector the equivalent value. Malik said; about camels used for carrying water; and cattle used for working water-wheels or ploughing; In my opinion such animals are included when assessing zakat. | The Chapter on Zakat Of Live Stock in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Itikaf in Ramadan in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-35925 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah Ibn Umar said; Someone who vows to sacrifice a camel or a cow to Allah should garland it with two sandals about its neck; and brand it by causing blood to flow from its side. He should then sacrifice it either at the House or at Mina on the day of sacrifice. There are no other correct places apart from those. However; someone who vows to slaughter a camel or a cow simply as a sacrifice can sacrifice it wherever he wishes. | The Chapter on Animal Sacrifice And Cows in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Business Transactions in Muwata Malik |
