Then an angel is sent to him by Allah and the angel is allowed ordered to write four things; his livelihood; his date of death; his deeds; and whether he will be a wretched one or a blessed one in the Hereafter and then the soul is breathed into him. So one of you may do good deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise so much that there is nothing except a cubit between him and Paradise but then what has been written for him decides his behavior and he starts doing evil deeds characteristic of the people of Hell Fire and ultimately enters Hell Fire ; and one of you may do evil deeds characteristic of the people of Hell Fire so much so that there is nothing except a cubit between him and Hell Fire ; then what has been written for him decides his behavior and he starts doing good deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise and ultimately enters Paradise. There was also written in it: The asylum pledge of protection granted by any Muslims is one and the same; even a Muslim of the lowest status is to be secured and respected by all the other Muslims; and whoever betrays a Muslim in this respect by violating the pledge will incur the curse of Allah; the angels; and all the people; and Allah will not accept his compulsory or optional good deeds. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1485 | Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Horses may be used for three purposes: For a man they may be a source of reward in the Hereafter ; for another; a means of protection; and for another; a source of sin. The man for whom they are a source of reward; is the one who keeps them for Allah Cause and ties them with long ropes and lets them graze in a pasture or garden. Whatever those long ropes allow them to eat of that pasture or garden; will be written as good deeds for him and if they break their ropes and run one or two rounds; then all their footsteps and dung will be written as good deeds for him; and if they pass a river and drink from it though he has had no intention of watering them; even then; that will be written as good deeds for him. So such horses are a source of reward for that man. For the man who keeps horses for his livelihood in order not to ask others for help or beg his bread; and at the same time he does not forget Allah right of what he earns through them and of their backs that he presents it to be used in Allah Cause ; such horses are a shelter for him from poverty. For the man who keeps them just out of pride and for showing off; they are a source of sin. Then Allah Messenger ﷺ was asked about donkeys. He said; Allah has not revealed anything to me regarding them except this comprehensive Verse: Then anyone who has done good; equal to the weight of an atom or a small ant shall see it; and any one who has done evil; equal to the weight of an atom or a small ant shall see it. 99.7-8 | The Chapter on Jihad Manners in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The laws inferred from certain evidences and the meaning of an evidence in Sahih AlBukhari

And whoever a freed slave takes as his master i.e. be-friends some people other than hi real masters without the permission of his real masters; will incur the curse of Allah; the angels and all the people; and none of his compulsory; or optional good deeds will be accepted on the Day of Resurrection. And the asylum granted by any Muslim is to be secured by all the Muslims; even if it is granted by one of the lowest social status among them; and whoever betrays a Muslim; in this respect will incur the curse of Allah; the angels; and all the people; and none of his Compulsory or optional good deeds will be accepted on the Day of Resurrection. | The Chapter on Angeles And Good Deeds And Almadinah in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The sin of the freed slave who denies his master who has freed him in Sahih AlBukhari

The people said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Would that you let us enjoy his company longer! Then Amir was killed the following morning. The people said; The good deeds of Amir are lost as he has killed himself. I returned at the time while they were talking about that. I went to the Prophet ﷺ and said; O Allah Prophet! Let my father be sacrificed for you! The people claim that Amir good deeds are lost. He said; Shall I not tell you a thing; by doing which; you will catch up with those who are ahead of you and supersede those who will come after you; and nobody will be able to do such a good deed as you do except the one who does the same deed as you do. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2003 | Narrated Abdullah: Allah Messenger ﷺ ; the truthful and truly-inspired; said; Each one of you collected in the womb of his mother for forty days; and then turns into a clot for an equal period of forty days and turns into a piece of flesh for a similar period of forty days and then Allah sends an angel and orders him to write four things; i.e.; his provision; his age; and whether he will be of the wretched or the blessed in the Hereafter. Then the soul is breathed into him. And by Allah; a person among you or a man may do deeds of the people of the Fire till there is only a cubit or an arm-breadth distance between him and the Fire; but then that writing which Allah has ordered the angel to write precedes; and he does the deeds of the people of Paradise and enters it; and a man may do the deeds of the people of Paradise till there is only a cubit or two between him and Paradise; and then that writing precedes and he does the deeds of the people of the Fire and enters it. | The Chapter on Angeles And Good Deeds And Day Of Hell Fire in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Chapter in Sahih AlBukhari

The Prophet ﷺ looked at him and said. If anyone would like to see a man from the people of the Fire; let him look at this brave man. On that; a man from the People Muslims followed him; and he was in that state i.e.; fighting fiercely against the pagans till he was wounded; and then he hastened to end his life by placing his sword between his breasts and pressed it with great force till it came out between his shoulders. Then the man who was watching that person went quickly to the Prophet ﷺ and said; I testify that you are Allah Messenger ﷺ ! The Prophet ﷺ asked him; Why do you say that? He said; You said about so-and-so; If anyone would like to see a man from the people of the Fire; he should look at him. He fought most bravely of all of us on behalf of the Muslims and I knew that he would not die as a Muslim Martyr. So when he got wounded; he hastened to die and committed suicide. Then Allah sends the angel to him to blow the soul into him; and he is ordered to write four things : To write his provision; his life-span; his works; and whether he will be wretched or happy. By the One besides Whom there is none other worthy of worship! One of you will do deeds of the people of Paradise; until there is between him and it but a forearm span; then he is overcome by what is written for him; and he is sealed off with the deeds of the people of the Fire; so that he enters it. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25911 | Ali said: We attended a funeral at Baql AlGharqad which was also attended by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came and sat down. He had a stick in his hand by which he began to scratch up the ground. He then raised his head and said : The place which every one of you and every soul of you will occupy in Hell or in Paradise has been recorded; and destined wicked or blesses. A man from among the people asked : Prophet of Allah! Should we not then trust simply in what has been recorded for us and abandon doing good deeds? Those who are among the number of the blessed will be inclined to blessing; and those of us who are among the number of the wicked will be inclined to wickedness. He replied : Go on doing good actions; for everyone is helped to do that for which he was created. Those who are among the number of wicked will be helped to do wicked deeds. The Prophet of Allah ﷺ then recited: So he who gives in charity and fears Allah ; and in all sincerity testifies to the best; we will indeed make smooth for him the path to bliss. But he who is a greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient; and gives the lie to the best; We will indeed make smooth for him the path of misery. | The Chapter on Angeles And Good Deeds And Destiny in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Belief In Divine Decree in Sunan Abu Dawoud

He replied : About a thing that has passed and gone i.e. predestined. A man or some people asked: Then; why action? He replied: Those who are among the number of those who go to Paradise will be helped to do the deeds of the people who will go to Paradise; and those who are among the number of those who go to Hell will be helped to do the deeds of those who will go to Hell. | The Chapter on Sutra For Prayers Standing Up For Funerals in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Belief In Divine Decree in Sunan Abu Dawoud

He then passed His hand over his back and brought forth from it his offspring; saying: I have created these for Hell; and they will do the deeds of those who go to Hell. A man asked: What is the good of doing anything; Messenger of Allah? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When Allah creates a servant for Paradise; He employs him in doing the deeds of those who will go to Paradise; so that his final action before death is one of the deeds of those who go to Paradise; for which He will bring him into Paradise. But when He creates a servant for Hell; He employs him in doing the deeds of those who will go to Hell; so that his final action before death is one of the deeds of those who go to Hell; for which He will bring him into Hell. | The Chapter on Good Deeds To Save Oneself From Hell Fire in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Belief In Divine Decree in Sunan Abu Dawoud

Then Allah sends to him an angel with four words who records his provision the period of his life; his deeds; and whether he will be miserable or blessed ; thereafter he breathes the spirit into him. One of you will do the deeds of those who go to Paradise so that there will be only a cubit between him and it or will be within a cubit; then what is decreed will overcome him so that he will do the deeds of those who go to Hell and will enter it; and one of you will do the deeds of those who go to hell; so that there will be only a cubit between him and it or will be within a cubit; then what is decreed will overcome him; so that he will do the deeds of those who go to Paradise and will enter it. | The Chapter on Angeles And Good Deeds And Day Of Hell Fire in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Belief In Divine Decree in Sunan Abu Dawoud

So Allah revealed the verse unless he repents; believes; and works righteous deeds; for Allah will change the evil of such persons into good. This is meant for them. As regards the verse if a man kills a believer intentionally; his recompense is Hell He said: If a man knows the command of Islam and intentionally kills a believer; his repentance wil not be accepted. MuwataMalik-017-001-34247 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya Ibn Said from Muhammad Ibn Ibrahim Ibn AlHarith AlTaymi from Abu Salama Ibn Abd ar Rahman that Abu Said said that he had heard the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; say; A group of people will appear among you whose prayer; fasting and deeds will make you think little of your own prayer; fasting and deeds. They will recite the Quran; but it wil not get past their throats; and they will pass through the deen like an arrow passes through game. MuwataMalik-017-001-35410 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Zayd Ibn Aslam from Abu Salih AlSamman from Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; Horses are a reward for one man; a protection for another; a burden for another. The one who has them as a reward is the one who dedicates them for use in the way of Allah; and tethers them in a meadow or grassland. Whatever the horse enjoys of the grassland or meadow in the length of its tether are good deeds for him. If it breaks its tether and goes over a hillock or two; its tracks and droppings are good deeds for him. If it crosses a river and drinks from it while he did not mean to allow it to drink it; that counts as good deeds for him; and the horse is a reward for him. Another man uses his horse to gain self reliance and up- standingness and does not forget Allah right on their necks and backs i.e. he does not ill treat or over-work them. Horses are a protection for him. Another man uses them out of pride to show them off and in hostility to the people of Islam. They are a burden on that man. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; was asked about donkeys; and he said; Nothing has been revealed to me about them except this single Allinclusive ayat; Whoever does an atom of good will see it; and whoever does an atom of evil; will see it. MuwataMalik-017-001-35722 | Yahya related to me from Malik that he had asked Ibn Shihab about the word of Allah; the Majestic; the Mighty; O you who accept; when the call is made for the prayer on the day of jumua; make haste to the remembrance of Allah. Surat 62 ayat 9. Ibn Shihab said; Umar Ibn AlKhattab used to recite; When the call is made for the prayer on the day of jumua; go to the remembrance of Allah. Malik said; Making haste in the Book of Allah is only deed and action. Allah the Blessed; the Exalted; says and when he turns away; he acts in the land Surat 2 ayat 205 ; and He; the Exalted; said; and as for the one who comes to you acting with fear Surat 80 ayat 8 ; and He said; then he turned his back; and acted Surat 79 ayat 22 ;and He said; Your deeds are diverse Surat 92 ayat 4.
