Said Abraham: "But it is Allah that causeth the sun to rise from the east: Do thou then cause him to rise from the West." Thus was he confounded who (in arrogance) rejected faith. Nor doth Allah Give guidance to a people unjust.

Your goal in the end is towards Allah: He will tell you the truth of the things wherein ye disputed."

He Ibn Abbas said: The illness of Allah Messenger ﷺ took a serious turn on this day ; and he said: Come to me; so that I should write for you a document that you may not go astray after me. They the Companions around him disputed; and it is not meet to dispute in the presence of the Apostle. They said: How is lie Allah Apostle ? Has he lost his consciousness? Try to learn from him this point. He the Holy Prophet said: Leave me. I am better in the state than the one in which you are engaged. I make a will about three things: Turn out the polytheists from the territory of Arabia; show hospitality to the foreign delegations as I used to show them hospitality. SahihMuslim-017-001-17982Ibn Abbas reported: When Allah Messenger ﷺ was about to leave this world; there were persons around him in his house; Umar Bin AlKbattab being one of them. Allah Apostle ﷺ said: Come; I may write for you a document; you would not go astray after that. Thereupon Umar said: Verily Allah Messenger ﷺ is deeply afflicted with pain. You have the Quran with you. The Book of Allah is sufficient for us. Those who were present in the house differed. Some of them said: Bring him the writing material so that Allah Messenger ﷺ may write a document for you and you would never go astray after him And some among them said what Umar had already said. When they indulged in nonsense and began to dispute in the presence of Allah Messenger ﷺ ; he said: Get up and go away Ubaidullah said: Ibn Abbas used to say: There was a heavy loss; indeed a heavy loss; that; due to their dispute and noise. SahihMuslim-017-001-18377Hisham Bin Urwa reported on the authority of his father Allah be pleased with him that Arwa bint Uwais disputed with Saeed Bin Zaid that he had seized some of the land belonging to her. She brought this dispute before Marwan Bin AlHakam. Saeed said: How could I take a part of her land; after what I heard from Allah Messenger may peace be uponhim ? He Marwan said: What did you hear from Allah Messenger ﷺ ? He said: I heard Allah Messenger ﷺ say: He who wrongly took a span of land would be made to wear around his neck seven earths. Marwan said: I do not ask any evidence from you after this. He Said said: O Allah; make her blind if she has told a lie and kill her in her own land. SahihMuslim-017-001-18645It is narrated on the authority of Abdullah that he heard the Prophet ﷺ saying: He who took an oath in order to entitle himself to the possession of a property; whereas he is a liar; would meet Allah in a state that He would be very much angry with him. SahihMuslim-017-001-20901Abu Dharr reported Allah Messenger ﷺ as saying: You would soon conquer Egypt and that is a land which is known as the land of Alqirat. So when you conquer it; treat its inhabitants well. For there lies upon you the responsibility because of blood-tie or relationship of marriage with them. And when you see two persons falling into dispute amongst themselves for the space of a brick; than get out of that. He Abu Dharr said: I saw Abdulrahman Bin Shurahbil Bin Hasana and his brother Rabia disputing with one another for the space of a brick. SunanAlTermithi-017-001-7653Narrated Ubaidullah Bin Abdullah Bin Uthbah: That he heard from Abu Huraira; Zaid Bin Khalid; and Shibl; that they were with the Prophet ﷺ and two men came to him disputing. So one of them stood before him and said: I ask you by Allah; O Messenger of Allah! Only that you would judge between us by the book of Allah. So his disputant said - and he was more eloquent that him: I agree of O Messenger of Allah! Judge between us by the Book of Allah; and allow me to speak. My son was a servant for this man and he committed adultery with his wife. So they told me that my son was to be stoned. I paid him one hundred female sheep and a female slave. Then I met some people from the people of knowledge and they said that my son was to be lashed one hundred times; and to be banished for a year and that stoning is only for this man wife. So the Prophet ﷺ said: By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! I will judge between you two by the Book of Allah. The one hundred female sheep and the female slave should be returned to you. For your son is one hundred lashes and banishment for a year. O Unais! Go to this Man wife; and if she confesses then stone her. SunanAlTermithi-017-001-9904Narrated Urwah Bin AlZubair: that Abdullah Bin AlZubair narrated to him: A man from the Ansar was arguing with AlZubair about a stream at AlHarrah with which they irrigated their date-palms. So the Ansari man said: Let the water pass through. But he refused; so they brought their dispute to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to AlZubair: O Zubair! Water and let the water flow to your neighbor. The Ansari got angry and said: O Messenger of Allah! Is it because he is your nephew? The face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ changed. Then he said: O Zubair! Water and withhold the water until until it flows over your walls. So AlZubair said: By Allah; I think this Ayah was revealed about that incident: But no; by your Lord! SunanAlNasai-017-001-11906It was narrated that Abu Saeed AlKhudri said: The Messenger of Allah SAWSYMOBOL said: No one of you disputes more intensely for something that is rightly his in this world; than the believers will dispute with their Lord for their brothers who have entered the Fire. They will say: Our Lord; our brothers used to pray with us and fast with us; and perform Hajj with us; and you have caused them to enter the Fire? He will say: Go and bring forth whomever you recognize among them. So they will go to them; and will recognize them by their appearances. Among them will be those who have been seized by the Fire up to the middle of their shins; and some among them those whom it has taken up to his ankles. They will bring them forth; then they will say: Our Lord; we have brought forth those whom You commanded us to bring forth. He will say: Bring forth everyone in whose heart is faith the weight of a Dinar. Then He will say: Everyone in whose heart is faith the weight of half a Dinar; until He will say: In whose heart is faith the weight of the smallest speck. SunanAlNasai-017-001-12427It was narrated from AlZubair Bin AlAwam that: He disputed with a man among Ansar who had been present at Badr with the Messenger of Allah SAWSYMOBOL; concerning a stream in AlHarrah from which they both used to water their date palm trees. The Ansari said: Let the water flow. But he AlZubair refused. The Messenger of Allah SAWSYMOBOL said: Irrigate your land ; O Zubair! Then let the water flow to your neighbor. The Ansari became angry and said; O Messenger of Allah; is it because he is your cousin? The face of the Messenger of Allah SAWSYMOBOL changed color because of anger and he said: O Zubair! Irrigate your land then block the water; until it flows back to the walls. So the Messenger of Allah SAWSYMOBOL allowed AlZubair to take his rights in full; although before that he had suggested to AlZubair a middle way that benefited both him and the Ansari. But when the Ansari made the Messenger of Allah SAWSYMOBOL angry; he gave AlZubair his rights in full; as stated clearly in his ruling. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25116Hilal Ibn Usamah quoted Abu Maimunah Salma; client of the people of Medina; as saying: While I was sitting with Abu Huraira; a Persian woman came to him along with a son of hers. She had been divorced by her husband and they both claimed him. She said: Abu Huraira; speaking to him in Persian; my husband wishes to take my son away. Abu Huraira said: Cast lots for him; saying it to her in a foreign language. Then her husband came and asked: Who is disputing with me about my son? Abu Huraira said: O Allah; I do not say this; except that I heard a woman who came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while I was sitting with him; and she said: My husband wishes to take away my son; Messenger of Allah; and he draws water for me from the well of Abu Inabah; and he has been good to me. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Cast lots for him. Her husband said: Who is disputing with me about my son? The Prophet ﷺ said: This is your father and this your mother; so take whichever of them you wish by the hand. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25720Narrated Ziyad Ibn Saad Ibn Dumayrah AlSulami: On the authority of his father Sad and his grandfather Dumayrah according to Mousa version who were present in the battle of Hunayn with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ : After the advent of Islam; Muhallam Ibn Jaththamah AlLaythi killed a man of Ashja. That was the first blood-money decided by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for payment. Uyaynah spoke about the killing of AlAshjai; for he belonged to Ghatafan; and AlAqra Ibn Habis spoke on behalf of Muhallam; for he belonged to Khunduf. The voices rose high; and the dispute and noise grew. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Do you not accept blood-money; Uyaynah? Uyaynah then said: No; I swear by Allah; until I cause his women to suffer the same fighting and grief as he caused my women to suffer. Again the voices rose high; and the dispute and noise grew. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Do you not accept the blood-money Uyaynah? Uyaynah gave the same reply as before; and a man of Banu Layth called Mukaytil stood up. He had a weapon and a skin shield in his hand. He said: I do not find in the beginning of Islam any illustration for what he has done except the one that some sheep came on; and those in the front were shot; hence those in the rear ran away. When the people cut off the fruits; and were demanded to pay the price; the buyer said: The fruits have been smitten by duman; qusham and murad fruit diseases on which they used to dispute. MuwataMalik-017-001-3487611 Malik related to me from Yahya Ibn Said from Urwa Ibn AlZubair that a man of the Ansar called Uhayha Ibn AlJulah had a young paternal uncle who was younger than him and who was living with his maternal uncles. Uhayha took him and killed him. His maternal uncles said; We brought him up from a baby to a youth till he stood firm on his feet; and we have had the right of a man taken from us by his paternal uncle. Urwa said; For that reason a killer does not inherit from the one he killed. Malik said; The way of doing things about which there is no dispute is that the intentional murderer does not inherit anything of the blood-money of the person he has murdered or any of his property. He does not stop anyone who has a share of inheritance from inheriting. The one who kills accidentally does not inherit anything of the blood-money and there is dispute as to whether or not he inherits from the dead person property because there is no suspicion that he killed him for his inheritance and in order to take his property.
