Then Allah revealed:-...or confuse you in party-strife. 6.65 Oh that; the Prophet ﷺ said; This is easier. | The Chapter on Revelation And Fasting And Charity in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Everything will perish save His Face in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1070 | Narrated Ata Bin Yazid AlLaithi: On the authority of Abu Huraira: The people said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Shall we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection? The Prophet ﷺ said; Do you have any difficulty in seeing the moon on a full moon night? They said; No; O Allah Messenger ﷺ. He said; Do you have any difficulty in seeing the sun when there are no clouds? They said; No; O Allah Messenger ﷺ. He said; So you will see Him; like that. Allah will gather all the people on the Day of Resurrection; and say; Whoever worshipped something in the world should follow that thing ; so; whoever worshipped the sun will follow the sun; and whoever worshiped the moon will follow the moon; and whoever used to worship certain other false deities; he will follow those deities. And there will remain only this nation with its good people or its hypocrites. The sub-narrator; Ibrahim is in doubt. Allah will come to them and say; I am your Lord. They will deny Him and say; We will stay here till our Lord comes; for when our Lord comes; we will recognize Him. So Allah will come to them in His appearance which they know; and will say; I am your Lord. They will say; You are our Lord; so they will follow Him. Then a bridge will be laid across Hell Fire I and my followers will be the first ones to go across it and none will speak on that Day except the Apostles. And the invocation of the Apostles on that Day will be; O Allah; save! Save! In Hell or over The Bridge there will be hooks like the thorns of AlSadan thorny plant. Have you seen AlSadan? They replied; Yes; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! He said; So those hooks look like the thorns of AlSadan; but none knows how big they are except Allah. Those hooks will snap the people away according to their deeds. Some of the people will stay in Hell be destroyed because of their evil deeds; and some will be cut or torn by the hooks and fall into Hell and some will be punished and then relieved. When Allah has finished His Judgments among the people; He will take whomever He will out of Hell through His Mercy. He will then order the angels to take out of the Fire all those who used to worship none but Allah from among those whom Allah wanted to be merciful to and those who testified in the world that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah. The angels will recognize them in the Fire by the marks of prostration on their foreheads ; for the Fire will eat up all the human body except the mark caused by prostration as Allah has forbidden the Fire to eat the mark of prostration. They will come out of the Hell Fire; completely burnt and then the water of life will be poured over them and they will grow under it as does a seed that comes in the mud of the torrent. Then Allah will finish the judgments among the people; and there will remain one man facing the Hell Fire and he will be the last person among the people of Hell to enter Paradise. He will say; O my Lord! Please turn my face away from the fire because its air has hurt me and its severe heat has burnt me. So he will invoke Allah in the way Allah will wish him to invoke; and then Allah will say to him; If I grant you that; will you then ask for anything else? He will reply; No; by Your Power; Honor I will not ask You for anything else. He will give his Lord whatever promises and covenants Allah will demand. So Allah will turn his face away from Hell Fire. When he will face Paradise and will see it; he will remain quiet for as long as Allah will wish him to remain quiet; then he will say; O my Lord! Bring me near to the gate of Paradise. Allah will say to him; Didnt you give your promises and covenants that you would never ask for anything more than what you had been given? Woe on you; O Adam son! How treacherous you are! He will say; O my lord; and will keep on invoking Allah till He says to him; If I give what you are asking; will you then ask for anything else? He will reply; No; by Your Honor Power; I will not ask for anything else. Then he will give covenants and promises to Allah and then Allah will bring him near to the gate of Paradise. When he stands at the gate of Paradise; Paradise will be opened and spread before him; and he will see its splendor and pleasures whereupon he will remain quiet as long as Allah will wish him to remain quiet; and then he will say; O my Lord! Admit me into Paradise. Allah will say; Didnt you give your covenants and promises that you would not ask for anything more than what you had been given? Allah will say; Woe on you; O Adam son! How treacherous you are! The man will say; O my Lord! Do not make me the most miserable of Your creation; and he will keep on invoking Allah till Allah will laugh because of his sayings; and when Allah will laugh because of him; He will say to him; Enter Paradise; and when he will enter it; Allah will say to him; Wish for anything. So he will ask his Lord; and he will wish for a great number of things; for Allah Himself will remind him to wish for certain things by saying; Wish for so-and-so. When there is nothing more to wish for; Allah will say; This is for you; and its equal is for you as well. Ata Bin Yazid added: Abu Saeed AlKhudri who was present with Abu Huraira; did not deny whatever the latter said; but when Abu Huraira said that Allah had said; That is for you and its equal as well; Abu Saeed AlKhudri said; And ten times as much; O Abu Huraira! Abu Huraira said; I do not remember; except his saying; That is for you and its equal as well. Abu Saeed AlKhudri then said; I testify that I remember the Prophet ﷺ saying; That is for you; and ten times as much. Some people will be ruined because of their evil deeds; and some will be cut into pieces and fall down in Hell; but will be saved afterwards; when Allah has finished the judgments among His slaves; and intends to take out of the Fire whoever He wishes to take out from among those who used to testify that none had the right to be worshipped but Allah. We will order the angels to take them out and the angels will know them by the mark of the traces of prostration on their foreheads for Allah banned the f ire to consume the traces of prostration on the body of Adam son. So they will take them out; and by then they would have burnt as coal ; and then water; called Maul Hayat water of life will be poured on them; and they will spring out like a seed springs out on the bank of a rainwater stream; and there will remain one man who will be facing the Hell Fire and will say; O Lord! It Hells vapor has Poisoned and smoked me and its flame has burnt me; please turn my face away from the Fire. He will keep on invoking Allah till Allah says; Perhaps; if I give you what you want ; you will ask for another thing? The man will say; No; by Your Power; I will not ask You for anything else. Then Allah will turn his face away from the Fire. The man will say after that; O Lord; bring me near the gate of Paradise. Allah will say to him ; Didnt you promise not to ask for anything else? Woe to you; O son of Adam ! How treacherous you are! The man will keep on invoking Allah till Allah will say; But if I give you that; you may ask me for something else. The man will say; No; by Your Power. I will not ask for anything else. He will give Allah his covenant and promise not to ask for anything else after that. So Allah will bring him near to the gate of Paradise; and when he sees what is in it; he will remain silent as long as Allah will; and then he will say; O Lord! Let me enter Paradise. Allah will say; Didnt you promise that you would not ask Me for anything other than that? Woe to you; O son of Adam ! How treacherous you are! On that; the man will say; O Lord! Do not make me the most wretched of Your creation; and will keep on invoking Allah till Allah will smile and when Allah will smile because of him; then He will allow him to enter Paradise; and when he will enter Paradise; he will be addressed; Wish from so-and-so. He will wish till all his wishes will be fulfilled; then Allah will say; All this i.e. what you have wished for and as much again therewith are for you. SahihMuslim-017-001-17390 | Abdullah Bin Umar reported that a Jew and a Jewess were brought to Allah Messenger ﷺ who had committed adultery. Allah Messenger ﷺ came to the Jews and said: What do you find in Torah for one who commits adultery? They said: We darken their faces and make them ride on the donkey with their faces turned to the opposite direction and their backs touching each other ; and then they are taken round the city. He said: Bring Torah if you are truthful. They brought it and recited it until when they came to the verse pertaining to stoning; the person who was reading placed his hand on the verse pertaining to stoning; and read only that which was between his hands and what was subsequent to that. Abdullah Bin Salim who was at that time with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Command him the reciter to lift his hand. He lifted it and there was; underneath that; the verse pertaining to stoning. Allah Messenger ﷺ pronounced judgment about both of them and they were stoned. Abdullah Bin Umar said: I was one of those who stoned them; and I saw him the Jew protecting her the Jewess with his body. | The Chapter on Fornication And Adultery In Jewish Law in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 6 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-17861 | It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Qatada that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up among them his Companions to deliver his sermon in which he told them that Jihad in the way of Allah and belief in Allah with all His Attributes are the most meritorious of acts. A man stood up and said: Messenger of Allah; do you think that if I am killed in the way of Allah; my sins will be blotted out from me? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Yes; in case you are killed in the way of Allah and you were patient and sincere and you always fought facing the enemy; never turming your back upon him. Then he added: What have you said now ? Wishing to have further assurance from him for his satisfaction ; he asked again : Do you think if I am killed in the way of Allah; all my sins will be obliterated from me? SahihMuslim-017-001-17903 | It has been narrated on the authority of Sulaiman Bin Yasar who said: People dispersed from around Abu Huraira; and Natil; who was from the Syrians. said to him: O Shaikh; relate to us a tradition you have heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: Yes. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: The first of men whose case will be decided on the Day of Judgment will be a man who died as a martyr. He shall be brought before the Judgment Seat. Allah will make him recount His blessings i. e. the blessings which He had bestowed upon him and he will recount them and admit having enjoyed them in his life. Then will Allah say: What did you do to requite these blessings ? He will say: I fought for Thee until I died as a martyr. Allah will say: You have told a lie. You fought that you might be called a brave warrior. And you were called so. Then orders will be passed against him and he will be dragged with his face downward and cast into Hell. Then will be brought forward a man who acquired knowledge and imparted it to others and recited the Quran. He will be brought And Allah will make him recount His blessings and he will recount them and admit having enjoyed them in his lifetime. Then will Allah ask: What did you do to requite these blessings ? He will say: I acquired knowledge and disseminated it and recited the Quran seeking Thy pleasure. Allah will say: You have told a lie. You acquired knowledge so that you might be called a scholar; and you recited the Quran so that it might be said: He is a Qari and such has been said. Then orders will be passed against him and he shall be dragged with his face downward and cast into the Fire. Then will be brought a man whom Allah had made abundantly rich and had granted every kind of wealth. He will be brought and Allah will make him recount His blessings and he will recount them and admit having enjoyed them in his lifetime. Allah will then ask: What have you done to requite these blessings ? He will say: I spent money in every cause in which Thou wished that it should be spent. Allah will say: You are lying. You did so that it might be said about You : He is a generous fellow and so it was said. Then will Allah pass orders and he will be dragged with his face downward and thrown into Hell. | The Chapter on Life And Death And Islam in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 43 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-18051 | It has been narrated on the authority of Umar Bin AlKhattab who said: When it was the day on which the Battle of Badr was fought; the Messenger of Allah ﷺ cast a glance at the infidels; and they were one thousand while his own Companions were three hundred and nineteen. The Prophet ﷺ turned his face towards the Qibla. Then he stretched his hands and began his supplication to his Lord: O Allah; accomplish for me what Thou hast promised to me. O Allah; bring about what Thou hast promised to me. O Allah; if this small band of Muslims is destroyed. Thou will not be worshipped on this earth. He continued his supplication to his Lord; stretching his hands; facing the Qibla; until his mantle slipped down from his shoulders. So Abu Bakr came to him; picked up his mantle and put it on his shoulders. Then he embraced him from behind and said: Prophet of Allah; this prayer of yours to your Lord will suffice you; and He will fulfill for you what He has promised you. So Allah; the Glorious and Exalted; revealed the Quranic verse : When ye appealed to your Lord for help; He responded to your call saying : I will help you with one thousand angels coming in succession. So Allah helped him with angels. Abu Zumail said that the hadith was narrated to him by Ibn Abbas who said: While on that day a Muslim was chasing a disbeliever who was going ahead of him; he heard over him the swishing of the whip and the voice of the rider saying: Go ahead; Haizum! He glanced at the polytheist who had now fallen down on his back. When he looked at him carefully he found that there was a scar on his nose and his face was torn as if it had been lashed with a whip; and had turned green with its poison. An Ansari came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and related this event to him. He said: You have told the truth. This was the help from the third heaven. The Muslims that day i.e. the day of the Battle of Badr killed seventy persons and captured seventy. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Abu Bakr and Umar Allah be pleased with them : What is your opinion about these captives? Abu Bakr said: They are our kith and kin. I think you should release them after getting from them a ransom. This will be a source of strength to us against the infidels. It is quite possible that Allah may guide them to Islam. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: What is your opinion; Ibn AlKhattab? He said: Messenger of Allah; I do not hold the same opinion as Abu Bakr. I am of the opinion that you should hand them over to us so that we may cut off their heads. Hand over Aqil to Ali that he may cut off his head; and hand over such and such relative to me that I may cut off his head. They are leaders of the disbelievers and veterans among them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ approved the opinion of Abu Bakr and did not approve what I said. The next day when I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; I found that both he and Abu Bakr were sitting shedding tears. I said: Messenger of Allah; why are you and your Companion shedding tears? Tell me the reason. For I will weep; or I will at least pretend to weep in sympathy with you. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: I weep for what has happened to your companions for taking ransom from the prisoners. I was shown the torture to which they were subjected. It was brought to me as close as this tree. He pointed to a tree close to him. Then God revealed the verse: It is not befitting for a prophet that he should take prisoners until the force of the disbelievers has been crushed... to the end of the verse: so eat ye the spoils of war; it is lawful and pure. So Allah made booty lawful for them. | The Chapter on Almaghazi And Alansar in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 18 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-18052 | It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent some horsemen to Najd. They captured a man. He was from the tribe of Banu Hanifa and was called Thumama Bin Uthal. He was the chief of the people of Yamama. People bound him with one of the pillars of the Masjid. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to see him. He said: O Thumama; what do you think? He replied: Muhammad; I have good opinion of you. If you kill me; you will kill a person who has spilt blood. If you do me a favour; you will do a favour to a grateful person. If you want wealth; ask and you will get what you will demand. The Messenger of Allah may peace be pon him lefthim in this condition for two days; and came to him again and said: What do you think; O Thumama? He replied: What I have already told you. If you do a favour; you will do a favour to a grateful person. If you kill me; you will kill a person who has spilt blood. If you want wealth; ask and you will get what you will demand. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ left him until the next day when he came to him again and said: What do you think; O Thumama? He replied: What I have already told you. If you do me a favour; you will do a favour to a grateful person. If you kill me; you will kill a person who has spilt blood. If you want wealth ask and you will get what you will demand. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Set Thumama free. He went to a palm-grove near the Masjid and took a bath. Then he entered the Masjid and said: I bear testimony to the truth that there is no god but Allah and I testify that Muhammad is His bondman and His messenger. O Muhammad; by Allah; there was no face on the earth more hateful to me than your face; but now your face has become to me the dearest of all faces. By Allah; there was no religion more hateful to me than your religion; but now your religion has become the dearest of all religions to me. By Allah; there was no city more hateful to me than your city; but now your city has become the dearest of all cities to me. Your horsemen captured me when I intended going for Umra. Now what is your opinion in the matter ? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ announced good tidings to him and told him to go on Umra. When he reached Mecca; somebody said to him: Have you changed your religion? He said: No! I have rather embraced Islam with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. By Allah; you will not get a single grain of wheat from Yamama until it is permitted by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. | The Chapter on Love And Emotions And Makkah in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 19 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-18083 | This tradition has been narrated on the authority of Salama who said: We fought by the side of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at Hunain. When we encountered the enemy; I advanced and ascended a hillock. A man from the enemy side turned towards me and I shot him with an arrow. He ducked and hid himself from me. I could not understand what he did; but all of a sudden I saw that a group of people appeared from the other hillock. They and the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ met in combat; but the Companions of the Prophet turned back and I too turned back defeated. I had two mantles; one of which I was wrapping round the waist covering the lower part of my body and the other I was putting around my shoulders. My waist-wrapper got loose and I held the two mantles together. In this downcast condition I passed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who was riding on his white mule. He said: The son of Akwa finds himself to be utterly perplexed. Wher. the Companions gathered round him from all sides. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ got down from his mule. picked up a handful of dust from the ground; threw it into their enemy faces and said: May these faces be deformed 1 There was no one among the enemy whose eyes were not filled with the dust from this handful. So they turned back fleeing. and Allah the Exalted and Glorious defeated them; and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ distributed their booty among the Muslims. | The Chapter on Directions Turning in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 28 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-18610 | It is narrated on the authority of Ibn Shamasa Mahri that he said: We went to Amr Bin AlAs and he was about to die. He wept for a long time and turned his face towards the wall. His son said: Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ not give you tidings of this? Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ not give you tidings of this? He the narrator said: He turned his face towards the audience and said: The best thing which we can count upon is the testimony that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. Verily I have passed through three phases. The first one in which I found myself averse to none else more than I was averse to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and there was no other desire stronger in me than the one that I should overpower him and kill him. Had I died in this state; I would have been definitely one of the denizens of Fire. When Allah instilled the love of Islam in my heart; I came to the Apostle ﷺ and said: Stretch out your right hand so that may pledge my allegiance to you. He stretched out his right hand; I withdrew my hand; He the Holy Prophet said: What has happened to you; O Amr? replied: I intend to lay down some condition. He asked: What condition do you intend to put forward? I said: should be granted pardon. He the Holy Prophet observed: Are you not aware of the fact that Islam wipes out all the previous misdeeds ? Verily migration wipes out all the previous misdeeds ; and verily the pilgrimage wipes out all the previous misdeeds. And then no one as or dear to me than the Messenger of Allah and none was more sublime in my eyes than he; Never could I; pluck courage to catch a full glimpse of his face due to its splendour. So if I am asked to describe his features; I cannot do that for I have not eyed him fully. Had I died in this state had every reason to hope that I would have bee among the dwellers of Paradise. Then we were responsible for certain things in the light of which I am unable to know what is in store for me. When I die; let neither female mourner nor fire accompany me. When you bury me; fill my grave well with earth; then stand around it for the time within which a camel is slaughtered and its meat is distributed so that I may enjoy your intimacy and in your company ascertain what answer I can give to the messengers angels of Allah. | The Chapter on Love And Emotions Supplications in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 54 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-18759 | It is reported on the authority of Abu AlZubair that he heard from Jabir b Abdullah; who was asked about the arrival of people on the Day of Resurrection. He said. We would come on the Day of Resurrection like this; like this; and see. carefully. that which concerns elevated people. He the narrator said: Then the people would be summoned along with their idols whom they worshipped; one after another. Then our Lord would come to us and say: Whom are you waiting for? They would say: We are waiting for our Lord. He would say: I am your Lord. They would say: We are not sure till we gaze at Thee; and He would manifest Himself to them smilingly; and would go along with them and they would follow Him; and every person; whether a hypocrite or a believer; would be endowed with a light; and there would be spikes and hooks on the bridge of the Hell; which would catch hold of those whom Allah willed. Then the light of the hypocrites would be extinguished; and the believers would secure salvation. and the first group to achieve it would comprise seventy thousand men who would have the brightness of full moon on their faces; and they would not be called to account. Then the people immediately following them would have their faces as the brightest stars in the heaven. This is how the groups would follow one after another. Then the stage of intercession would come; and they who are permitted to intercede would intercede; till he who had declared: There is no god but Allah and had in his heart virtue of the weight of a barley grain would come out of the Fire. They would be then brought in the courtyard of Paradise and the inhabitants of Paradise would begin to sprinkle water over them till they would sprout like the sprouting of a thing in flood water; and their burns would disappear. They would ask their Lord till they would be granted the bounties of the world and with it ten more besides it. | The Chapter on Admittance To Hell Fire in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 84 in Sahih Muslim

SahihMuslim-017-001-19240 | AlNawas Bin Saman reported that Allah Messenger ﷺ made a mention of the Dajjal one day in the morning. He ﷺ sometimes described him to be insignificant and sometimes described his turmoil as very significant and we felt as if he were in the cluster of the date-palm trees. When we went to him to the Holy Prophet in the evening and he read the signs of fear in our faces; he ﷺ said: What is the matter with you? We said: Allah Messenger; you made a mention of the Dajjal in the morning sometimes describing him to be insignificant and sometimes very important; until we began to think as if he were present in some near part of the cluster of the date-palm trees. Thereupon he ﷺ said: I harbor fear in regard to you in so many other things besides the Dajjal. If he comes forth while I am among you; I shall contend with him on your behalf; but if he comes forth while I am not amongst you; a man must contend on his own behalf and Allah would take care of every Muslim on my behalf and safeguard him against his evil. He Dajjal would be a young man with twisted; contracted hair; and a blind eye. I compare him to Abd AlUzza Bin Qatan. He who amongst you would survive to see him should recite over him the opening verses of Surat Kahf xviii. He would appear on the way between Syria and Iraq and would spread mischief right and left. O servant of Allah! adhere to the path of Truth. We said: Allah Messenger; how long would he stay on the earth? He ﷺ said: For forty days; one day like a year and one day like a month and one day like a week and the rest of the days would be like your days. We said: Allah Messenger; would one day prayer suffice for the prayers of day equal to one year? Thereupon he ﷺ said: No; but you must make an estimate of time and then observe prayer. We said: Allah Messenger; how quickly would he walk upon the earth? Thereupon he ﷺ said: Like cloud driven by the wind. He would come to the people and invite them to a wrong religion and they would affirm their faith in him and respond to him. He would then give command to the sky and there would be rainfall upon the earth and it would grow crops. Then in the evening; their pasturing animals would come to them with their humps very high and their udders full of milk and their flanks stretched. He would then come to another people and invite them. But they would reject him and he would go away from them and there would be drought for them and nothing would be left with them in the form of wealth. He would then walk through the waste land and say to it: Bring forth your treasures; and the treasures would come out and collect themselves before him like the swarm of bees. He would then call a person brimming with youth and strike him with the sword and cut him into two pieces and make these pieces lie at a distance which is generally between the archer and his target. He would then call that young man and he will come forward laughing with his face gleaming with happiness and it would be at this very time that Allah would send Christ; son of Mary; and he will descend at the white minaret in the eastern side of Damascus wearing two garments lightly dyed with saffron and placing his hands on the wings of two Angels. When he would lower his head; there would fall beads of perspiration from his head; and when he would raise it up; beads like pearls would scatter from it. Every non-believer who would smell the odor of his self would die and his breath would reach as far as he would be able to see. He would then search for him Dajjal until he would catch hold of him at the gate of Ludd and would kill him. Then a people whom Allah had protected would come to Jesus; son of Mary; and he would wipe their faces and would inform them of their ranks in Paradise and it would be under such conditions that Allah would reveal to Jesus these words: I have brought forth from amongst My servants such people against whom none would be able to fight; you take these people safely to Tur. And then Allah would send Gog and Magog and they would swarm down from every slope. The first of them would pass the lake of Tiberias and drink out of it. And when the last of them would pass; he would say: There was once water there. Jesus and his companions would then be besieged here at Tur; and they would be so much hard pressed that the head of the ox would be dearer to them than one hundred dinars and Allah Apostle; Jesus; and his companions would supplicate Allah; Who would send to them insects which would attack their necks and in the morning they would perish like one single person. Allah Apostle; Jesus; and his companions would then come down to the earth and they would not find in the earth as much space as a single span which is not filled with their putrefaction and stench. Allah Apostle; Jesus; and his companions would then again beseech Allah; Who would send birds whose necks would be like those of Bactrian camels and they would carry them and throw them where God would will. Then Allah would send rain which no house of clay or the tent of camels hairs would keep out and it would wash away the earth until it could appear to be a mirror. Then the earth would be told to bring forth its fruit and restore its blessing and; as a result thereof; there would grow such a big pomegranate that a group of persons would be able to eat that; and seek shelter under its skin and milch cow would give so much milk that a whole party would be able to drink it. And the milch camel would give such a large quantity of milk that the whole tribe would be able to drink out of that and the milch sheep would give so much milk that the whole family would be able to drink out of that and at that time Allah would send a pleasant wind which would soothe people even under their armpits; and would take the life of every Muslim and only the wicked would survive who would commit adultery like asses and the Last Hour would come to them. | The Chapter on Rain And Clouds Earth And Aldajjal in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 20 in Sahih Muslim

He the Holy Prophet exhorted people to give charity; but they showed some reluctance until signs of anger could be seen on his face. Then a person from the Ansar came with a purse containing silver. Then came another person and then other persons followed them in succession until signs of happiness could be seen on his sacred face. Thereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: He who introduced some good practice in Islam which was followed after him by people he would be assured of reward like one who followed it; without their rewards being diminished in any respect. And he who introduced some evil practice in Islam which had been followed subsequently by others ; he would be required to bear the burden like that of one who followed this evil practice without their being diminished in any respect. | The Chapter on Jihad And Emigration in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 6 in Sahih Muslim

He said: A man among the Ansar reached the Bedouin and he dropped the reigns of his camel to drink; but the Bedouin would not allow him. So he started removing the barriers around the water; but the Bedouin raised a stick beating the Ansari man on the head; and smashed it. When any of you faces qiblah; he indeed faces his Lord; the Majestic the Glorious: the angels are at right side. Therefore; he should not spit on his right side or before him towards qiblah. He turned to it and scraped it with the twig. He then said: Who of you likes that Allah turns His face from him? He further said: When any of you stands for praying; Allah faces him. So he should not spit before him; nor on his right side. He should spit on his left side under his left foot. If he is in a hurry i.e. forced to spit immediately ; he should do with his cloth in this manner. He then placed the cloth on his mouth and rubbed it off. He then said: Bring perfume. A young man of the tribe stood and hurried to his house and returned with perfume in his palm. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took it and put it at the end of the twig. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-27484 | Narrated Muadh Ibn Jabal: Prayer passed through three stages and fasting also passed through three stages. The narrator Nasr reported the rest of the tradition completely. The narrator; Ibn AlMuthanna; narrated the story of saying prayer facing in the direction of Jerusalem. He said: The third stage is that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to Medina and prayed; i.e. facing Jerusalem; for thirteen months. Then Allah; the Exalted; revealed the verse: We have seen thee turning thy face to Heaven for guidance; O Muhammad. And now verily We shall make thee turn in prayer toward a qiblah which is dear to thee. So turn thy face toward the Inviolable Place of Worship; and ye O Muslims ; wherever ye may be; turn your face when ye pray toward it ii.144. And Allah; the Reverend and the Majestic; turned them towards the Kabah. He the narrator completed his tradition. The narrator; Nasr; mentioned the name of the person who had the dream; saying: And Abdullah Ibn Zayd; a man from the Ansar; came. The same version reads: And he turned his face towards the qiblah and said: Allah is most great; Allah is most great; I testify that there is no god but Allah; I testify that there is no god but Allah; I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; come to prayer he pronounced it twice ; come to salvation he pronounced it twice ; Allah is Most Great; Allah is most great. He then paused for a while; and then got up and pronounced in a similar way; except that after the phrase Come to salvation he added. The time for prayer has come; the time for prayer has come. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Teach it to Bilal; then pronounce the adhan call to prayer with the same words. As regards fasting; he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to fast for three days every month; and would fast on the tenth of Muharram. Then Allah; the Exalted; revealed the verse:.......Fasting was prescribed for those before you; that ye may ward off evil......and for those who can afford it there is a ransom: the feeding of a man in need ii.183-84. If someone wished to keep the fast; he would keep the fast; if someone wished to abandon the fast; he would feed an indigent every day; it would do for him. But this was changed. Allah; the Exalted; revealed: The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Quran.......... let him fast the same number of other days ii.185. Hence the fast was prescribed for the one who was present in the month of Ramadan and the traveller was required to atone for them ; feeding the indigent was prescribed for the old man and woman who were unable to fast. The narrator; Nasr; further reported : The companion Sirmah; came after finishing his day work......and he narrated the rest of the tradition. | The Chapter on Adhan And Iqama And Fasting in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on How The Adhan Is Performed in Sunan Abu Dawoud

MuwataMalik-017-001-34304 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya Ibn Said from Muhammad Ibn Yahya Ibn Habban from his paternal uncle; Wasi Ibn Habban; that Abdullah Ibn Umar said; People say; When you sit to relieve yourself; do not face the qibla or the Bayt AlMaqdis. Abdullah continued; I went upon top of a house of ours and saw the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; squatting on two unfired bricks facing the Bayt AlMaqdis; relieving himself. Malik was asked how many rakas there were in the prayer of asking for rain and he said; Two rakas; and the imam does the prayer before he gives the khutba. He prays two rakas; and then he gives a khutba and makes dua; facing the qibla and turning his cloak inside out. He recites out loud in both rakas; and when he turns his cloak inside out he puts what is on his right on his left; and what is on his left on his right; and all the people turn their cloaks inside out when the imam does so; and face the qibla; sitting. | The Chapter on Bowing In Prayers And Mina And Alqiblah in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Prayer in Ramadan in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-34390 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdullah Ibn Abi Bakr from his father that the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; gave a man from the Banu Abd AlAshal charge over some sadaqa. When he came to ask him for some camels from the sadaqa; the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; was so angry that the anger showed in his face. One way in which anger could be recognised in his face was that his eyes became red. Then he said; This man has asked me for what is not good for me or him. If I refuse it; I hate to refuse. If I give it to him; I will give him what is not good for me or him. The man said; Messenger of Allah! MuwataMalik-017-001-34856 | Yahya related to me from Malik that Yahya Ibn Said heard Sulayman Ibn Yasar mention that a face wound in which the bone was bared was like a head wound in which the bone was bared; unless the face was scarred by the wound. Then the blood-money is increased by one half of the blood-money of the head wound in which the skin was bared so that seventy five dinars are payable for it. Malik said; What is done in our community is that the head wound with splinters has fifteen camels. He explained; The head wound with splinters is that from which pieces of bone fly off and which does not reach the brain. It can be in the head or the face. Malik said; The generally agreed on way of doing things in our community; is that there is no retaliation for a wound to the brain or a belly wound; and Ibn Shihab has said; There is no retaliation for a wound to the brain. Malik explained; The wound to the brain is what pierces the bones to the brain. This type of wound only occurs in the head. It is that which reaches the brain when the bones are pierced. Malik said; What is done in our community is that there is no blood-money paid on any head wound less than one which lays bare the skull. Blood-money is payable only for the head wound that bares the bone and what is worse than that. That is because the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; stopped at the head wound which bared the bone in his letter to Amr Ibn Hazm. He made it five camels. The imams; past and present; have not made any blood- money payable for injuries less than the head wound which bares the bone. | The Chapter on Wounds In Crimes And Felonies in HodHood Indexing, The Book of General Subjects in Muwata Malik

He would garland the animal with two sandals and brand it on its left side. It would then be driven with him until he observed the standing together with everybody at Arafa. Then he would drive it on with him when everybody else moved on; and then when he arrived at Mina on the morning of the sacrifice; he would sacrifice the animal; before he shaved his head. He would sacrifice the animals with his own hands ;lining them up standing and facing the qibla. Yahya said that Malik was asked what a man should do if; when he did Ablution; he forgot and washed his face before he had rinsed his mouth; or washed his forearms before he had washed his face. He said; If someone washes his face before rinsing his mouth; he should rinse his mouth and not wash his face again. If someone washes his forearms before his face; however; he should wash his forearms again so that he has washed them after his face. This is if he is still near the place of Ablution. Yahya said that Malik was asked about what a man should do if he had forgotten to rinse his mouth and nose until he had prayed; and he said; He does not have to repeat the prayer; but should rinse his mouth and nose if he wishes to do any more prayers after that. | The Chapter on Ablution Face Rinsing The Mouth in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Zakat in Muwata Malik |
