SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6142 | Narrated Asma: I came to Aisha while she was praying; and said to her; What has happened to the people? She pointed out towards the sky. I looked towards the Masjid ; and saw the people offering the prayer. Aisha said; Subhan Allah. I said to her; Is there a sign? She nodded with her head meaning; Yes. I; too; then stood for the prayer of eclipse till I became nearly unconscious and later on I poured water on my head. After the prayer; the Prophet ﷺ praised and glorified Allah and then said; Just now at this place I have seen what I have never seen before; including Paradise and Hell. No doubt it has been inspired to me that you will be put to trials in your graves and these trials will be like the trials of Masih AlDajjal or nearly like it the sub narrator is not sure which expression Asma used. You will be asked; What do you know about this man the Prophet ﷺ Muhammad ? Then the faithful believer or Asma said a similar word will reply; He is Muhammad Allah Messenger ﷺ who had come to us with clear evidences and guidance and so we accepted his teachings and followed him. And he is Muhammad. And he will repeat it thrice. Then the angels will say to him; Sleep in peace as we have come to know that you were a faithful believer. On the other hand; a hypocrite or a doubtful person will reply; I do not know; but I heard the people saying something and so I said it. the same. | The Chapter on Praise And Glory To Allah In Prostration in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Whoever gave a religious verdict by beckoning or by nodding in Sahih AlBukhari

SahihMuslim-017-001-17937 | It has been narrated on the authority of Abdulrahman Bin Shamasa AlMahri who said: I was in the company of Maslama Bin Mukhallad; and Abdullah Bin Amr Bin As was with him. Abdullah said: The Hour shall some oniy when the worst type of people are left on the earth. They will be worse than the people of pre-Islamic days. They will get whatever they ask of Allah. While we were yet sitting when Uqba Bin Amir came; and Maslama said to him: Uqba; listen to what Abdullah says. Uqba said: He knows better; so far as I am concerned; I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: A group of people from my Umma will continue to fight in obedience to the Command of Allah; remaining dominant over their enemies. Those who will oppose them shall not do them any harm. They will remain ill this condition until the Hour overtakes them. At this Abdullah said: Yes. Then Allah will raise a wild which will be fragrant like musk and whose touch will be like the touch of silk; but it will cause the death of all faithful persons; not leaving behind a single person with an iota of faith in his heart. Then only the worst of men will remain to be overwhelmed by the Hour. | The Chapter on Hour And Day Of Truth in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 53 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-18040 | It is reported by Zuhri that this tradition was narrated to him by Malik Bin Aus who said: Umar Bin AlKhattab sent for me and I came to him when the day had advanced. I found him in his house sitting on his bare bed-stead; reclining on a leather pillow. He said to me : Malik; some people of your tribe have hastened to me with a request for help. I have ordered a little money for them. Take it and distribute it among them. I said: I wish you had ordered somebody else to do this job. He said: Malik; take it and do what you have been told. At this moment his man-servant Yarfa came in and said: Commander of the Faithful; what do you say about Uthman; Abd AlRabman Bin Auf; AlZubair and Saad who have come to seek an audience with you ? He said: Yes; and permitted them. so they entered. Then he Yarfa came again and said: What do you say about Ali and Abbas who are present at the door ? He said: Yes; and permitted them to enter. Abbas said: Commander of the Faithful; decide the dispute between me and this sinful; treacherous; dishonest liar. The people who were present also said: Yes. Commander of the Faithful; do decide the dispute and have mercy on them. Malik Bin Aus said: I could well imagine that they had sent them in advance for this purpose by Ali and Abbas. Umar said: Wait and be patient. I adjure you by Allah by Whose order the heavens and the earth are sustained; dont you know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: We prophets do not have any heirs; what we leave behind is to be given in charity? They said: Yes. Then he turned to Abbas and Ali and said: I adjure you both by Allah by Whose order the heavens and earth are sustained; dont you know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: We do not have any heirs; what we leave behind is to be given in charity? They too said: Yes. Then Umar said: Allah; the Glorious and Exalted; had done to His Messenger ﷺ a special favour that He has not done to anyone else except him. He quoted the Quranic verse: What Allah has bestowed upon His Apostle from the properties of the people of township is for Allah and His Messenger. The narrator said: I do not know whether he also recited the previous verse or not. Umar continued: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ distrbuted among you the properties abandoned by Banu Nadir. By Allah; he never preferred himself over you and never appropriated anything to your exclusion. After a fair distribution in this way this property was left over. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would meet from its income his annual expenditure; and what remained would be deposited in the Bait AlMal. Continuing further he said: I adjure you by Allah by Whose order the heavens and the earth are sustained. Do you know this? They said: Yes. Then he adjured Abbas and All as he had adjured the other persons and asked: Do you both know this? They said: Yes. He said: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away; Abu Bakr said: I am the successor of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Both of you came to demand your shares from the property left behind by the Messenger of Allah. Referring to Hadrat Abbas ; he said: You demanded your share from the property of your nephew; and he referring to Ali demanded a share on behalf of his wife from the property of her father. Abu Bakr Allah be pleased with him said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had said: We do not have any heirs; what we leave behind is to be given in charity. So both of you thought him to be a liar; sinful; treacherous and dishonest. And Allah knows that he was true; virtuous; well-guided and a follower of truth. When Abu Bakr passed away and I have become the successor of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Abu Bakr Allah be pleased with him ; you thought me to be a liar; sinful; treacherous and dishonest. And Allah knows that I am true; virtuous; well-guided and a follower of truth. I became the guardian of this property. Then you as well as he came to me. Both of you have come and your purpose is identical. You said: Entrust the property to us. I said: If you wish that I should entrust it to you; it will be on the condition that both of you will undertake to abide by a pledge made with Allah that you will use it in the same way as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used it. So both of you got it. He said: Wasnt it like this? They said: Yes. He said: Then you have again come to me with the request that I should adjudge between you. No; by Allah. I will not give any other judgment except this until the arrival of the Doomsday. If you are unable to hold the property on this condition; return it to me. | The Chapter on Contracts And Disputes Management in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 15 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-18383 | It is narrated on the authority of Yahya Bin Yamur that the first man who discussed qadr Divine Decree in Basra was Mabad AlJuhani. I along with Humaid Bin Abdulrahman Himyari set out for pilgrimage or for Umrah and said: Should it so happen that we come into contact with one of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ we shall ask him about what is talked about taqdir Divine Decree. Accidentally we came across Abdullah Ibn Umar Ibn AlKhattab; while he was entering the Masjid. My companion and I surrounded him. One of us stood on his right and the other stood on his left. I expected that my companion would authorize me to speak. I therefore said: Abu Abdulrahman There have appeared some people in our land who recite the Quran and pursue knowledge. And then after talking about their affairs; added: They such people claim that there is no such thing as Divine Decree and events are not predestined. He Abdullah Ibn Umar said: When you happen to meet such people tell them that I have nothing to do with them and they have nothing to do with me. And verily they are in no way responsible for my belief. Abdullah Ibn Umar swore by Him the Lord and said : If any one of them who does not believe in the Divine Decree had with him gold equal to the bulk of the mountain Uhud and spent it in the way of Allah ; Allah would not accept it unless he affirmed his faith in Divine Decree. He further said: My father; Umar Ibn AlKhattab; told me: One day we were sitting in the company of Allah Apostle ﷺ when there appeared before us a man dressed in pure white clothes; his hair extraordinarily black. There were no signs of travel on him. None amongst us recognized him. At last he sat with the Apostle ﷺ He knelt before him placed his palms on his thighs and said: Muhammad; inform me about AlIslam. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: AlIslam implies that you testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah; and you establish prayer; pay Zakat; observe the fast of Ramadan; and perform pilgrimage to the House if you are solvent enough to bear the expense of the journey. He the inquirer said: You have told the truth. He Umar Ibn AlKhattab said: It amazed us that he would put the question and then he would himself verify the truth. He the inquirer said: Inform me about Iman faith. He the Holy Prophet replied: That you affirm your faith in Allah; in His angels; in His Books; in His Apostles; in the Day of Judgment; and you affirm your faith in the Divine Decree about good and evil. He the inquirer said: You have told the truth. He the inquirer again said: Inform me about AlIhsan performance of good deeds. He the Holy Prophet said: That you worship Allah as if you are seeing Him; for though you dont see Him; He; verily; sees you. He the enquirer again said: Inform me about the hour of the Doom. He the Holy Prophet remarked: One who is asked knows no more than the one who is inquiring about it. He the inquirer said: Tell me some of its indications. He the Holy Prophet said: That the slave-girl will give birth to her mistress and master; that you will find barefooted; destitute goat-herds vying with one another in the construction of magnificent buildings. He the narrator; Umar Ibn AlKhattab said: Then he the inquirer went on his way but I stayed with him the Holy Prophet for a long while. He then; said to me: Umar; do you know who this inquirer was? I replied: Allah and His Apostle knows best. He the Holy Prophet remarked: He was Gabriel the angel. He came to you in order to instruct you in matters of religion. | The Chapter on Hour And Divine Decree in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 1 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-18387 | Abu Huraira reported: One day the Messenger of Allah ﷺ appeared before the public that a man came to him and said: Prophet of Allah; tell me what is Iman. Upon this he the Holy Prophet replied: That you affirm your faith in Allah; His angels; His Books; His meeting; His Messengers and that you affirm your faith in the Resurrection hereafter. He again said: Messenger of Allah; tell me what does AlIslam signify. He the Holy Prophet replied: AlIslam signifies that you worship Allah and do not associate anything with Him and you establish obligatory prayer and you pay the obligatory poor-rate Zakat and you observe the fast of Ramadan. He the inquirer again said: Messenger of Allah; what does AlIhsan imply? He the Holy Prophet replied: That you worship Allah as if you are seeing Him; and in case you fail to see Him; then observe prayer with this idea in your mind that at least He is seeing you. He the inquirer again said: Messenger of Allah; when would there be the hour of Doom ? He the Holy Prophet replied: The one who is asked about it is no better informed than the inquirer. I; however; narrate some of its signs and these are : when the slave-girl will give birth to he master; when the naked; barefooted would become the chiefs of the people - these are some of the signs of Doom. Moreover when the shepherds of the black camels would exult themselves in buildings; this is one of the signs of Doom. Doom is one of the five happenings wrapped in the unseen which no one knows but Allah. Then he the Messenger of Allah recited the verse : Verily Allah! with Him alone is the knowledge of the hour and He it is Who sends down the rain and knows that which is in the wombs and no person knows whatsoever he shall earn tomorrow; and a person knows not in whatsoever land he shall die. Verily Allah is Knowing; Aware. He the narrator; Abu Huraira said: Then the person turned back and went away. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Bring that man back to me. They the Companions of the Prophet present there went to bring him back; but they saw nothing there. Upon this the Messenger of Allah remarked: he was Gabriel; who came to teach the people their religion. | The Chapter on Hour And Divine Decree in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 1 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-18389 | It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Ask me about matters pertaining to religion ; but they the Companions of the Holy Prophet were too much overawed out of profound respect for him to ask him anything. In the meanwhile a man came there; and sat near his knees and said: Messenger of Allah; what Allslam is? -to which he the Holy Prophet replied: You must not associate anything with Allah; and establish prayer; pay the poor-rate Zakat and observe the fasts of Ramadan. He said: You have told the truth. He again said: Messenger of Allah; what AlIman the faith is? He the Holy Prophet said: That you affirm your faith in Allah; His angels; His Books; His meeting; His Apostles; and that you believe in Resurrection and that you believe in Qadr Divine Decree in all its entirety; He the inquirer said: You have told the truth. He again said: Messenger of Allah; what AlIhsan is? Upon this he the Holy Prophet said: AlIhsan implies that you fear Allah as if you are seeing Him; and though you see Him not; verily He is seeing you. He the inquirer said: You have told the truth. He the inquirer said: When there would be the hour of Doom ? Upon this he the HolyProphet said: The one who is being asked about it is no better informed than the inquirer himself. I; however; narrate some of its signs and these are : when you see a slave woman giving birth to her master - that is one of the signs of Doom ; when you see barefooted; naked; deaf and dumb ignorant and foolish persons as the rulers of the earth - that is one of the signs of the Doom. And when you see the shepherds of black camels exult in buildings - that is one of the signs of Doom. The Doom is one of the five things wrapped in the unseen. No one knows them except Allah. Then the Holy Prophet recited the folowing verse : Verily Allah! with Him alone is the knowledge of the hour and He it is Who sends down the rain and knows that which is in the wombs and no person knows whatsoever he shall earn on morrow and a person knows not in whatsoever land he shall die. Verily Allah is Knowing; Aware. He the narrator; Abu Huraira said: Then the person stood up an made his way. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Bring him back to me. He was searched for; but they the Companions of the Holy Prophet could not find him. SahihMuslim-017-001-18656 | Hudhaifa reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ narrated to us two ahadith. I have seen one crystallized into reality ; and I am waiting for the other. He told us: Trustworthiness descended in the innermost root of the hearts of people. Then the Quran was revealed and they learnt from the Quran and they learnt from the Sunnah. Then he the Holy Prophet told us about the removal of trustworthiness. He said: The man would have a wink of sleep and trustworthiness would be taken away from his heart leaving the impression of a faint mark. He would again sleep and trustworthiness would be taken away from his heart leaving an impression of a blister; as if you rolled down an ember on your foot and it was vesicled. He would see a swelling having nothing in it. He the Holy Prophet then took up a pebble and rolled it down over his foot and said : The people would enter into transactions amongst one another and hardly a person would be left who would return things entrusted to him. And there would be so much paucity of honest persons till it would be said: There in such a such tribe is a trustworthy man. And they would also say about a person: How prudent he is; how broad-minded he is and how intelligent he is; whereas in his heart there would not be faith even to the weight of a mustard seed. I have passed through a time in which I did not care with whom amongst you I entered into a transaction; for if he were a Muslim his faith would compel him to discharge his obligations to me and it he were a Christian or a Jew; the ruler would compel him to discharge his obligations to me. Then it falls prostrate and remains there until it is asked: Rise up and go to the place whence you came; and it goes back and continues emerging out from its rising place and then glides till it reaches its place of rest under the Throne and falls prostrate and remains in that state until it is asked: Rise up and return to the place whence you came; and it returns and emerges out from it rising place and the it glides in such a normal way that the people do not discern anything unusual in it till it reaches its resting place under the Throne. Then it would be said to it: Rise up and emerge out from the place of your setting; and it will rise from the place of its setting. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said. Do you know when it would happen? SahihMuslim-017-001-19019 | Suhaib reported that Allah Messenger ﷺ thus said: There lived a king before you and he had a court magician. As he the magician grew old; he said to the king: I have grown old; send some young boy to me so that I should teach him magic. He the king sent to him a young man so that he should train him in magic. And on his way to the magician he the young man found a monk sitting there. He the young man listened to his the monks talk and was impressed by it. It became his habit that on his way to the magician he met the monk and set there and he came to the magician late. He the magician beat him because of delay. He made a complaint of that to the monk and he said to him: When you feel afraid of the magician; say: Members of my family had detained me. And when you feel afraid of your family you should say: The magician had detained me. It so happened that there came a huge beast of prey and it blocked the way of the people; and he the young boy said: I will come to know today whether the magician is superior or the monk is superior. He picked up a stone and said: O Allah; if the affair of the monk is dearer to Thee than the affair of the magician; cause death to this animal so that the people should be able to move about freely. He threw that stone towards it and killed it and the people began to move about on the path freely. He the young man then came to that monk and Informed him and the monk said: Sonny; today you are superior to me. Your affair has come to a stage where I find that you would be soon put to a trial; and in case you are put to a trial dont give my clue. That young man began to treat the blind and those suffering from leprosy and he in fact began to cure people from all kinds of illness. When a companion of the king who had gone blind heard about him; he came to him with numerous gifts and said: If you cure me all these things collected together here would be yours. Be said: I myself do not cure anyone. It is Allah Who cures and if you affirm faith in Allah; I shall also supplicate Allah to cure you. He affirmed his faith in Allah and Allah cured him and he came to the king and sat by his side as he used to sit before. The king said to him: Who restored your eyesight? He said: My Lord. Thereupon he said: It means that your Lord is One besides me. He said: My Lord and your Lord is Allah; so he the king took hold of him and tormented him till he gave a clue of that boy. The young man was thus summoned and the king said to him: O boy; it has been conveyed to me that you have become so much proficient in your magic that you cure the blind and those suffering from leprosy and you do such and such things. Thereupon he said: I do not cure anyone; it is Allah Who cures; and he the king took hold of him and began to torment him. So he gave a clue of the monk. The monk was thus summoned and it was said to him: You should turn back from your religion. He; however; refused to do so. He ordered for a saw to be brought and when it was done he the king placed it in the middle of his head and tore it into parts till a part fell down. Then the courtier of the king was brought and it was said to him: Turn back from your religion. Arid he refused to do so; and the saw was placed in the midst of his head and it was torn till a part fell down. Then that young boy was brought and it was said to him: Turn back from your religion. He refused to do so and he was handed over to a group of his courtiers. And he said to them: Take him to such and such mountain; make him climb up that mountain and when you reach its top ask him to renounce his faith but if he refuses to do so; then throw him down the mountain. So they took him and made him climb up the mountain and he said: O Allah; save me from them in any way Thou likest and the mountain began to quake and they all fell down and that person came walking to the king. The king said to him: What has happened to your companions? He said: Allah has saved me from them. He again handed him to some of his courtiers and said: Take him and carry him in a small boat and when you reach the middle of the ocean ask him to renounce his religion; but if he does not renounce his religion throw him into the water. So they took him and he said: O Allah; save me from them and what they want to do. It was quite soon that the boat turned over and they were drowned and he came walking to the king; and the king said to him: What has happened to your companions? He said: Allah has saved me from them; and he said to the king: You cannot kill me until you do what I ask you to do. And he said: What is that? He said: You should gather people in a plain and hang me by the trunk of a tree. Then take hold of an arrow from the quiver and say: In the name of Allah; the Lord of the young boy; then shoot an arrow and if you do that then you would be able to kill me. So he the king called the people in an open plain and tied him the boy to the trunk of a tree; then he took hold of an arrow from his quiver and then placed the arrow in the bow and then said: In the name of Allah; the Lord of the young boy; he then shot an arrow and it bit his temple. He the boy placed his hands upon the temple where the arrow had bit him and he died and the people said: We affirm our faith in the Lord of this young man; we affirm our faith in the Lord of this young man; we affirm our faith in the Lord of this young man. The courtiers came to the king and it was said to him: Do you see that Allah has actually done what you aimed at averting. They the people have affirmed their faith in the Lord. He the king commanded ditches to be dug at important points in the path. When these ditches were dug; and the fire was lit in them it was said to the people : He who would not turn back from his boys religion would be thrown in the fire or it would be said to them to jump in that. The people courted death but did not renounce religion till a woman came with her child and she felt hesitant in jumping into the fire and the child said to her: 0 mother; endure this ordeal for it is the Truth. | The Chapter on Alansar And Killing in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 17 in Sahih Muslim

Verily my prayer; my sacrifice; my living and my dying are for Allah; the Lord of the worlds; There is no partner with Him and this is what I have been commanded to profess and believe and I am of the believers. O Allah; Thou art the King; there is no god but Thee; Thou art my Lord; and I am Thy bondman. I wronged myself and make a confession of my Sin. Forgive all my sins; for no one forgives the sins but Thee; and guide me in the best of conduct for none but Thee guideth anyone in good conduct. Remove sins from me; for none else but Thou can remove sins from me. Here I am at Thy service; and Grace is to Thee and the whole of good is in Thine hand; and one cannot get nearneststo Thee through evil. My power as well as existence is due to Thee Thine grace and I turn to Thee for supplication. Thou art blessed and Thou art exalted. I seek forgiveness from Thee and turn to Thee in repentance: and when he would bow; he would say: O Allah; it is for Thee that I bowed. I affirm my faith in Thee and I submit to Thee; and submit humbly before Thee my hearing; my eyesight; my marrow; my bone; my sinew; and when he would raise his head; he would say: O Allah; our Lord; praise is due to Thee; the praise with which is filled the heavens and the earth; and with which is filled that space which exists between them; and filled with anything that Thou desireth afterward. And when he prostrated himself; he the Holy Prophet would say: O Allah; it is to Thee that I prostrate myself and it is in Thee that I affirm my faith; and I submit to Thee. My face is submitted before One Who created it; and shaped it; and opened his faculties of hearing and seeing. Blessed is Allah; the best of Creators; and he would then say between Tashahhud and the pronouncing of salutation: Forgive me of the earlier and later open and secret sins and that where I made transgression and that Thou knowest better than I. They will say: Our Lord; our brothers used to pray with us and fast with us; and perform Hajj with us; and you have caused them to enter the Fire? He will say: Go and bring forth whomever you recognize among them. So they will go to them; and will recognize them by their appearances. Among them will be those who have been seized by the Fire up to the middle of their shins; and some among them those whom it has taken up to his ankles. They will bring them forth; then they will say: Our Lord; we have brought forth those whom You commanded us to bring forth. He will say: Bring forth everyone in whose heart is faith the weight of a Dinar. Then He will say: Everyone in whose heart is faith the weight of half a Dinar; until He will say: In whose heart is faith the weight of the smallest speck. They said: O Messenger of Allah; the idolators are between us and you; and we can only reach you during the sacred months. Tell us of something which; if we do it; we will enter Paradise; and we can tell it to those whom we left behind. He said: I will enjoin three things upon you; and forbid four things to you. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-24716 | Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet ﷺ as saying: If anyone fasts during Ramadan because of faith and in order to seek his reward from Allah; his previous sins will be forgiven to him. If anyone prays in the night of the power lailat Alqadr because of faith and in order to seek his reward from Allah his previous sins will be forgiven for him.Abu Dawud said: This tradition has been transmitted in a similar manner by Yahya Bin Abi Kathir and Muhammad Bin Amr from Abu Salamah. | The Chapter on Forgiveness And Reward in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Regarding Standing In Voluntary Night Prayer During The Month Of Ramadan in Sunan Abu Dawoud
SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-24900 | Aisha wife of the Prophet ﷺ and Umm Salamah said Abu Hudaifah Bin Utbah Bin Rabiah Bin Abd Shams adopted Salim as his son and married him to his niece Hind; daughter of AlWalid Bin Utbah Bin Rabiah. He Salim was the freed slave of a woman from the Ansar the Helpers as the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ adopted Zaid as his son. In pre Islamic days when anyone adopted a man as his son; the people called him by his name and he was given a share from his inheritance. Allaah; the Exalted; revealed about this matter Call them by the name of their fathers; that is juster in the sight of Allaah. And if ye know not their fathers; then they are your brethren in the faith and your clients. They were then called by their names of their fathers. A man; whose father was not known; remained under the protection of someone and considered brother in faith. Sahlah daughter of Suhail Bin Amr AlQuraishi then came and said Apostle of Allaah ﷺ ; we used to consider Salim our son. He dwelled with me and Abu Hudhaifah in the same house; and he saw me in the short clothes; but Allaah the Exalted; has revealed about them what you know; then what is your opinion about him? The Prophet ﷺ said give him your breast feed. She gave him five breast feeds. He then became like her foster son. Hence; Aisha may Allaah be pleased with her used to ask the daughters of her sisters and the daughters of her brethren to give him breast feed five times; whom Aisha wanted to see and who wanted to visit her. Though he might be of age; he then visited her. But Umm Salamah and all other wives of the Prophet ﷺ refused to allow anyone to visit them on the basis of such breast feeding unless one was given breast feed during infancy. They told Aisha by Allaah we do not know whether that was a special concession granted by the Prophet ﷺ to Salim exclusive of the people. | The Chapter on Family And Honor in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on About Who Was Made Prohibited Through Adult Fosterage in Sunan Abu Dawoud

SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-26065 | Narrated Abdullah Ibn Umar: When we were sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; he talked about periods of trial fitnahs ; mentioning many of them. When he mentioned the one when people should stay in their houses; some asked him: Messenger of Allah; what is the trial fitnah of staying at home? He replied: It will be flight and plunder. Then will come a test which is pleasant. Its murkiness is due to the fact that it is produced by a man from the people of my house; who will assert that he belongs to me; whereas he does not; for my friends are only the God-fearing. Then the people will unite under a man who will be like a hip-bone on a rib. Then there will be the little black trial which will leave none of this community without giving him a slap; and when people say that it is finished; it will be extended. During it a man will be a believer in the morning and an infidel in the evening; so that the people will be in two camps: the camp of faith which will contain no hypocrisy; and the camp of hypocrisy which will contain no faith. Umar said: So far as I am concerned; I do not pray until I find water. Ammar said: Commanded of the faithful; do you not remember when I and you were among the camels For tending them ? There we became sexually defiled. I rolled down on the ground. We then came to the Prophet ﷺ and I mentioned that to him. He said: It was enough for you to do so. Then he struck the ground with both his hands. He then blew over them and wiped his face and both hands by means of them up to half the arms. Umar said: Ammar; fear Allah. Then Ali Ibn Zayd Ibn Jadan told me on the authority of Umm Muhammad; the wife of his father. Ibn aown said: It was believed that she used to go to the Mother of the Faithful i.e. Aisha. She said: The Mother of the Faithful said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came upon me while Zaynab; daughter of Jahsh; was with us. He began to do something with his hand. I signalled to him until I made him understand about her. So he stopped. Zaynab came on and began to abuse Aisha. She tried to prevent her but she did not stop. So he the Prophet said to Aisha: Abuse her. So she abused her and dominated her. Zaynab then went to Ali and said: Aisha abused you and did such and such. Then Fatimah came to the Prophet and he said to her: She is the favourite of your father; by the Lord of the Kabah! She then returned and said to them: I said to him such and such; and he said to me such and such. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-27362 | Narrated Abu Talha t AlAnsari: I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: The angels do not enter a house which contains a dog or a picture. Zaid Bin Khalid AlJuhani said to Saeed Bin Yasar AlAnsari; the transmitter of this tradition: Go with me to Aisha; Mother of Faithful; so that we ask about it. So we went and said to her: Mother of Faithful; Abu Talha h has transmitted to us a tradition so-and-so. Have you heard the Prophet ﷺ mentioning that ? She replied: No but I tell what I saw him doing. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went on an expedition and I was waiting for his return. I got a carpet which I hung as a screen on a stick over the door. When he came I received him and said: Peace be upon you; Messenger of Allah; His mercy and His blessings. Praise to be Allah Who gave you dominance and respect. Then he looked at the house and saw the carpet; and he did not respond to me at all. I found signs of disapproval in his face. He then came to the carpet and tore it down. He then said: Allah has not commanded us to clothe stones and clay out of the sustenance He has given us. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-29234 | Narrated Malik Bin Aws Bin AlHadathan: Umar sent for me when the day rose high. I found him sitting on a couch without cover. When I entered upon him; he said: Malik; some people of you tribe gradually came here; and I have ordered to give them something; so distribute it among them. I said: If you assigned this work to some other person; it would be better. He said: Take it. Then Yarfa came to him and said: Commander of the Faithful; will you permit Uthman Bin Affan; Abdulrahman Bin Awuf ; AlZubair Bin AlAwam; and Saad b; Abi Waqqas to enter ? He said: Yes. So he permitted them and they entered. Yarfa again came to him and said: Commander of the Faithful; would you permit AlAbbas and Ali ? He said: Yes. He then permitted them and they entered. AlAbbas said: Commander of Faithful; decide between me and this; referring to Ali. Some of them said: Yes; Commander of the Faithful; decide between them and give them comfort. Malik Bin Aws said: It occurred to me that both of them brought the other people for this. Umar said: Show patience do not make haste. He then turned towards those people and said: I adjure you by Allah by Whose order the heaven and earth stand. Do you know that Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: We are not inherited whatever we leave is sadaqah alms. They said: Yes. He then turned towards Ali and AlAbbas and said: I adjure you by Allah by Whose order the heaven and earth stand. Do you know that Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: We are not inherited whatever we leave is sadaqah alms. They said: Yes. He then said: Allah has appointed for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a special portion in the booty which he did not do for anyone. Allah; Most High; said: What Allah has bestowed on His Apostle and taken away from them - for this ye made no expedition with either cavalry or camelry. But Allah gives power to His apostles over any He pleases ; and Allah has power over all things. Allah bestowed the property of Banu AlNadir on His Apostle. I swear by Allah; he did not reserve it for himself; nor did he take it over and above you. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to his share for his maintenance annually; or used to take his contribution and give his family their annual contribution from this property ; then take what remained and deal with it as he did with Allah property. He then turned towards those people and said: I adjure you by Allah by Whose order the heaven and earth stand. Do you know that ? They said: Yes. He then turned towards Ali and AlAbbas and said: I adjure you by Allah by Whose order the heaven and earth stand. Do you know that ? They said: Yes. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ died; Abu Bakr said: I am the protector of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Then you and this Ali came to Abu Bakr; demanding a share from the inheritance of your cousin; and this Ali demanding the share of his wife from the property of her father. Abu Bakr then said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: We are not inherited. Whatever we leave is sadaqah. Allah knows that he Abu Bakr was true; faithful; rightly-guided; and the follower of Triuth. Abu Bakr then administered it property of the Prophet. When Abu Bakr died; I said: I am the protector of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Abu Bakr. So I administered whatever Allah wished. Then you and this Ali came. Both of you are at one; and your matter is the same. So they asked me for it property ; and I said: If you wish I give it to you on condition that you are bound by the covenant of Allah; meaning that you will administer it as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to administer. So you took it from me on that condition. Then again you have come to me so that I decide between you other than that. I swear by Allah; I shall not decide between you other than that till the Last Hour comes. If you helpless; return it to me.Abu Dawud said: They asked him for making it half between them; and not that they were ignorant of the fact the Prophet ﷺ said: We are not inherited. Whatever we leave is sadaqah alms. They were also seeking the truth. Umar then said: I do not apply the name of division to it ; It leave it on its former condition. | The Chapter on Contracts And Disputes And Charity in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Regarding Allocating A Special Portion For The Messenger Of Allah From Wealth in Sunan Abu Dawoud
