SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3598Narrated AlQasim: Aisha said that whenever the Prophet ﷺ intended to go on a journey; he drew lots among his wives so as to take one of them along with him. During one of his journeys the lot fell on Aisha and Hafsa. When night fell the Prophet ﷺ would ride beside Aisha and talk with her. One night Hafsa said to Aisha; Wont you ride my camel tonight and I ride yours; so that you may see me and I see you in new situation ? Aisha said; Yes; I agree. So Aisha rode; and then the Prophet ﷺ came towards Aisha camel on which Hafsa was riding. He greeted Hafsa and then proceeded beside her till they dismounted on the way. Aisha missed him; and so; when they dismounted; she put her legs in the Idhkhir and said; O Lord Allah ! Send a scorpion or a snake to bite me for I am not to blame him the Prophet ﷺ.The Chapter on Parents Slander And Innocence in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on To draw lots among the wives for a journey in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3769The nephew of Suraqa Bin Jusham said that his father informed him that he heard Suraqa Bin Jusham saying; The messengers of the heathens of Quraish came to us declaring that they had assigned for the persons why would kill or arrest Allah Messenger ﷺ and Abu Bakr; a reward equal to their bloodmoney. While I was sitting in one of the gatherings of my tribe. Bani Mudlij; a man from them came to us and stood up while we were sitting; and said; O Suraqa! No doubt; I have just seen some people far away on the seashore; and I think they are Muhammad and his companions. Suraqa added; I too realized that it must have been they. But I said No; it is not they; but you have seen so-and-so; and so-and-so whom we saw set out. I stayed in the gathering for a while and then got up and left for my home. and ordered my slave-girl to get my horse which was behind a hillock; and keep it ready for me. Then I took my spear and left by the back door of my house dragging the lower end of the spear on the ground and keeping it low. Then I reached my horse; mounted it and made it gallop. When I approached them i.e. Muhammad and Abu Bakr ; my horse stumbled and I fell down from it; Then I stood up; got hold of my quiver and took out the divining arrows and drew lots as to whether I should harm them i.e. the Prophet ﷺ and Abu Bakr or not; and the lot which I disliked came out. But I remounted my horse and let it gallop; giving no importance to the divining arrows. When I heard the recitation of the Quran by Allah Messenger ﷺ who did not look hither and thither while Abu Bakr was doing it often; suddenly the forelegs of my horse sank into the ground up to the knees; and I fell down from it. Then I rebuked it and it got up but could hardly take out its forelegs from the ground; and when it stood up straight again; its fore-legs caused dust to rise up in the sky like smoke. Then again I drew lots with the divining arrows; and the lot which I disliked; came out. So I called upon them to feel secure. They stopped; and I remounted my horse and went to them. When I saw how I had been hampered from harming them; it came to my mind that the cause of Allah Messenger ﷺ i.e. Islam will become victorious. So I said to him; Your people have assigned a reward equal to the bloodmoney for your head. Then I told them all the plans the people of Mecca had made concerning them. Then I offered them some journey food and goods but they refused to take anything and did not ask for anything; but the Prophet ﷺ said; Do not tell others about us. Then I requested him to write for me a statement of security and peace. He ordered Amr Bin Fuhaira who wrote it for me on a parchment; and then Allah Messenger ﷺ proceeded on his way. Narrated Urwa Bin AlZubair: Allah Messenger ﷺ met AlZubair in a caravan of Muslim merchants who were returning from Sham. AlZubair provided Allah Messenger ﷺ and Abu Bakr with white clothes to wear. When the Muslims of Medina heard the news of the departure of Allah Messenger ﷺ from Mecca towards Medina ; they started going to the Harra every morning. They would wait for him till the heat of the noon forced them to return. One day; after waiting for a long while; they returned home; and when they went into their houses; a Jew climbed up the roof of one of the forts of his people to look for some thing; and he saw Allah Messenger ﷺ and his companions dressed in white clothes; emerging out of the desert mirage. The Jew could not help shouting at the top of his voice; O you Arabs! Here is your great man whom you have been waiting for! So all the Muslims rushed to their arms and received Allah Messenger ﷺ on the summit of Harra. The Prophet ﷺ turned with them to the right and alighted at the quarters of Bani Amr Bin Auf; and this was on Monday in the month of Rabi AlAwal. Abu Bakr stood up; receiving the people while Allah Messenger ﷺ sat down and kept silent. Some of the Ansar who came and had not seen Allah Messenger ﷺ before; began greeting Abu Bakr; but when the sunshine fell on Allah Messenger ﷺ and Abu Bakr came forward and shaded him with his sheet only then the people came to know Allah Messenger ﷺ. Allah Messenger ﷺ stayed with Bani Amr Bin Auf for ten nights and established the Masjid Masjid of Quba which was founded on piety. Allah Messenger ﷺ prayed in it and then mounted his camel and proceeded on; accompanied by the people till his camel knelt down at the place of the Masjid of Allah Messenger ﷺ at Medina. Some Muslims used to pray there in those days; and that place was a yard for drying dates belonging to Suhail and Sahl; the orphan boys who were under the guardianship of Asad Bin Zurara. When his camel knelt down; Allah Messenger ﷺ said; This place; Allah willing; will be our abiding place. Allah Messenger ﷺ then called the two boys and told them to suggest a price for that yard so that he might take it as a Masjid. The two boys said; No; but we will give it as a gift; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Allah Messenger ﷺ then built a Masjid there. The Prophet ﷺ himself started carrying unburnt bricks for its building and while doing so; he was saying This load is better than the load of Khaibar; for it is more pious in the Sight of Allah and purer and better rewardable. He was also saying; O Allah! The actual reward is the reward in the Hereafter; so bestow Your Mercy on the Ansar and the Emigrants. Thus the Prophet ﷺ recited by way of proverb the poem of some Muslim poet whose name is unknown to me. Ibn Shibab said; In the Hadiths it does not occur that Allah Apostle recited a complete poetic verse other than this one.The Chapter on Horses And Property in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The emigration of the Prophet to AlMadina in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5486Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet ﷺ said; The Prophet ﷺ Abraham emigrated with Sarah and entered a village where there was a king or a tyrant. The king was told that Abraham had entered the village accompanied by a woman who was one of the most charming women. So; the king sent for Abraham and asked; O Abraham! Who is this lady accompanying you? Abraham replied; She is my sister i.e. in religion. Then Abraham returned to her and said; Do not contradict my statement; for I have informed them that you are my sister. By Allah; there are no true believers on this land except you and 1. Then Abraham sent her to the king. When the king got to her; she got up and performed ablution; prayed and said; O Allah! If I have believed in You and Your Apostle; and have saved my private parts from everybody except my husband; then please do not let this pagan overpower me. On that the king fell in a mood of agitation and started moving his legs. Seeing the condition of the king; Sarah said; O Allah! If he should die; the people will say that I have killed him. The king regained his power; and proceeded towards her but she got up again and performed ablution; prayed and said; O Allah! If I have believed in You and Your Apostle and have kept my private parts safe from all except my husband; then please do not let this pagan overpower me. The king again fell in a mood of agitation and started moving his legs. On seeing that state of the king; Sarah said; O Allah! If he should die; the people will say that I have killed him. The king got either two or three attacks; and after recovering from the last attack he said; By Allah! You have sent a satan to me. Take her to Abraham and give her Ajar. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-927Narrated Aisha: There was a black slave girl belonging to an Arab tribe and they manumitted her but she remained with them. The slave girl said; Once one of their girls of that tribe came out wearing a red leather scarf decorated with precious stones. It fell from her or she placed it somewhere. A kite passed by that place; saw it Lying there and mistaking it for a piece of meat; flew away with it. Those people searched for it but they did not find it. So they accused me of stealing it and started searching me and even searched my private parts. The slave girl further said; By Allah! while I was standing in that state with those people; the same kite passed by them and dropped the red scarf and it fell amongst them. I told them; This is what you accused me of and I was innocent and now this is it. Aisha added: That slave girl came to Allah Messenger ﷺ and embraced Islam. She had a tent or a small room with a low roof in the Masjid. Whenever she called on me; she had a talk with me and whenever she sat with me; she would recite the following: The day of the scarf band was one of the wonders of our Lord; verily He rescued me from the disbelievers town. Aisha added: Once I asked her; What is the matter with you? Whenever you sit with me; you always recite these poetic verses. On that she told me the whole story. The Chapter on Parents And Weeping in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Sleeping of a woman in the Masjid and residing in it in Sahih AlBukhari

In the meanwhile; Allah Messenger ﷺ came there and said: What is this; the proclamation of the days of jahiliya ignorance ? They said: Allah Messenger; there is nothing serious. The two young men fell into dispute and the one struck at the back of the other. Thereupon he the Holy Prophet said: Well; a person should help his brother whether he is an oppressor or an oppressed. SahihMuslim-017-001-20647mousab Bin Saad reported on the authority of his father that many verses of the Quran had been revealed in connection with him. His mother Umm Saad had taken oath that she would never talk with him until he abandoned his faith and she neither ate nor drank and said: Allah has commanded you to treat well your parents and I am your mother and I command you to do this. She passed three days in this state until she fainted because of extreme hunger and at that time her son whose name was Umara stood up and served her drink and she began to curse Saad that Allah; the Exalted and Glorions; revealed these verses of the Holy Quran: And We have enjoined upon a person goodness to his parents but if they contend with thee to associate others with Me of which you have no knowledge; then obey them not xxix. 8 ; Treat thein with customary good in this world xxxi. 15. He also reported that there fell to the lot of Allah Messenger ﷺ huge spoils of war and there was one sword in them. I picked that up and came to Allah Messenger ﷺ and said: Bestow this sword upon me as my share in the spoils of war and you know my state. Thereupon he said: Return it to the place from where you picked it up. I went back until I decided to throw it in a store but my soul repulsed me so I came back and asked him to give that sword to me. He said in a loud voice to return it to the place from where I had picked it up. It was on this occasion that this verse was revealed: They asked about the spoils of war viii. 1. He further said: I once fell ill and sent a message to Allah Apostle ﷺ. He visited me and I said to him: Permit me to distribute in charity my property as much as I like. He did not agree. I said: Permit me to distribute half of it. He did not agree. I said: Permit me to distribute the third part; whereupon he kept quiet and it was after this that the distribution of one property in charity to the extent of one-third was held valid. He further said: I came to a group of persons of the Ansir and Muhajirin and they said: Come; so that we may serve you wine; and it was before the use of wine had been prohibited. I went to them in a garden and there had been with them the roasted head of a camel and a small water-skin containing wine. I ate and drank along with them and there came under discussion the Ansr Helpers and Muhajirin immigrants. I said: The immigrants are better than the Ansar; that a person picked up a portion of the head of the camel and struck me with it that my nose was injured. I came to Allah Messenger ﷺ and informed him of the situation that Aliah; the Exalted and Glorious; revealed verses pertaining to wine: Intoxicants and the games of chance and sacrificing to stones set up and divining by arrows are only an uncleanliness; the devil work v. 90.The Chapter on Almaghazi And Returning Property in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 5 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-20792Kharasha Bin Hurr reported: I was sitting in a circle in the Masjid of Medina and there was an old man; quite handsome. He was Abdullah Bin Salim. He was telling good things to them to the people sitting in that company. As he stood up to depart the people said: He who is desirous of looking at a person from amongst the people of Paradise should see him. I said: By Allah; I will follow him; and would try to know his residence. So I followed him and he walked on until he reached the outskirts of Medina. He then entered his house. I sought permission from him to get in; and he granted me the permission; saying: My nephew; what is the need that has brought you here ? I said to him: As you stood up; I heard people say about you: He who is desirous of seeing a person from among the people of Paradise should look at him. So I became desirous of accompanying you. He Abdullah Bin Salim said: It is Allah Who knows best about the people of Paradise. I would; however; narrate to you as to why they said like it. The story is that while I was asleep one night there came to me a person in the dream who asked me to stand up. So I stood up and he caught hold of my hand and I walked along with him; and; lo; I found some paths on my left and I was about to set out upon them. Thereupon he said to me Do not set yourself on them for these are the paths of the leftists denizens of Hell-fire. Then there were paths leading to the right side; whereupon he said: Set yourself on these paths. We came across a hill and he said to me: Climb up; and I attempted to climb up that I fell upon my buttocks. I made several attempts but failed to succeed. He led until he came to a pillar so high that its upper end touched the sky and its base was in the earth. And there was a handhold at its upper end. He said to me Climb over it. I said: How can I climb upon it; as its upper end touches the sky? He cought hold of my hand and pushed me up and I found myself suspended with the handhold. He then struck the pillar and it fell down; but I remained attached to that handhold until it was morning and the dream was thus over. I came to Allah Apostle ﷺ and narrated it to him. He said: So far as the paths which you saw on your left are concerned; these are paths of the leftists denizens of Hell and the paths which you saw on your right; these are the paths of the rightists the dwellers of Paradise and the mountain represents the destination of the martyrs which you would not be able to attain. SahihMuslim-017-001-21665Anas Allah be pleased with him reported: I was sitting behind Abu Talha on the Day of Khaibar and my feet touched the foot of Allah Messenger ﷺ ; and we came to the people of Khaibar when the sun had risen and they had driven out their cattle; and had themselves come out with their axes; large baskets and hatchets; and they said: Here come Muhammad and the army. Allah Messenger ﷺ said: Khaibar is ruined. Verily when we get down in the valley of a people; evil is the morning of the warned ones AlQuran; xxxvii. 177. Allah; the Majestic and the Glorious; defeated them the inhabitants of Khaibar ; and there fell to the lot of Dihya a beautiful girl; and Allah Messenger ﷺ got her in exchange of seven heads; and then entrusted her to Umm Sulaim so that she might embellish her and prepare her for marriage with him. He the narrator said: He had been under the impression that he had said that so that she might spend her period of Iddah in her Umm Sulaims house. The woman was Safiya daughter of Huyay. Allah Messenger ﷺ arranged the wedding feast consisting of dates; cheese; and refined butter; and pits were dug and tiers were set in them dining cloths; and there was brought cheese and refined butter; and these were placed there. And the people ate to their fill; and they said: We do not know whether he the Holy Prophet had married her as a free woman ; or as a slave woman. They said: If he the Holy Prophet would make her wear the veil; then she would be a free married woman; and if he would not make her wear the veil; then she should be a slave woman. When he intended to ride; he made her wear the veil and she sat on the hind part of the camel; so they came to know that he had married her. As they approached Medina; Allah Messenger ﷺ drove his ride quickly and so we did. Adba the name of Allah Apostle camel stumbled and Allah Messenger ﷺ fell down and she Radrat Safiya: also fell down. He the Holy Prophet stood up and covered her. Women looked towards her and said: May Allah keep away the Jewess! He the narrator said: I said: Aba Hamza; did Allah Messenger ﷺ really fall down? He said: Yes; by Allah; he in fact fell down. The Chapter on Almaghazi And Khaibar in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 14 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-21667Anas; Allah be pleased with him reported: Safiya Allah be pleased with her fell to the lot of Dihya in the spoils of war; and they praised her in the presence of Allah Messenger ﷺ and said: We have not seen the like of her among the captives of war. He sent a messenger to Dihya and he gave him whatever he demanded. He then sent her to my mother and asked her to embellish her. Allah Messenger ﷺ then got out of Khaibar until when he was on the other side of it; he halted; and a tent was pitched for him. When it was morning Allah Messenger ﷺ said: He who has surplus of provision with him should bring that to us. Some persons would bring the surplus of dates; and the other surplus of mush of barley until there became a heap of bals. They began to eat the hais and began to drink out of the pond which had the water of rainfall in it and which was situated by their side. Anas said that that constituted the wedding feast of Allah Messenger ﷺ. He further said: We proceeded until we saw the walls of Medina; and we were delighted. We made our mounts run quickly and Allah Messenger ﷺ also made his mount run quickly. And Safiya Allah be pleased with her was at his back; and Allah Messenger ﷺ had seated her behind him. The camel of Allah Messenger ﷺ stumbled and he the Holy Prophet fell down and she also fell down. And none among the people was seeing him and her; until Allah Messeuger ﷺ stood up and he covered her; and we came to him and he said: We have received no injury. We entered Medina and there came out the young ladies of the household. SahihMuslim-017-001-23375Hattan Bin Abdullah AlRaqashi reported: I observed prayer with Abu Mousa AlAshari and when he was in the qadah; one among the people said: The prayer has been made obligatory along with piety and Zakat. He the narrator said: When Abu Mousa had finished the prayer after salutation he turned towards the people and said: Who amongst you said such and such a thing? A hush fell on the people. He again said: Who amongst you has said such and such a thing? A hush fell on the people. He Abu Mousa said: Hattan; it is perhaps you that have uttered it. He Hattan said No. I have not uttered it. I was afraid that you might be annoyed with me on account of this. A person amongst the people said: It was I who said it; and in this I intended nothing but good. Abu Mousa said: Dont you know what you have to recite in your prayers? Verily the Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed us and explained to us all its aspects and taught us how to observe prayer properly. He the Holy Prophet said: When you pray make your rows straight and let anyone amongst you act as your Imam. Recite the takbir when he recites it and when he recites: Not of those with whom Thou art angry; nor of those who go astray; say: Amin. Allah would respond you. And when he the Imam recites the takbir; you may also recite the takbir; for the Imam bows before you and raises himself before you. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The one is equivalent to the other. And when he says: Allah listens to him who praises Him; you should say: O Allah; our Lord; to Thee be the praise; for Allah; the Exalted and Glorious; has vouchsafed us through the tongue of His Apostle ﷺ that Allah listens to him who praises Him. And when he the Imam recites the takbir and prostrates; you should also recite the takbir and prostrate; for the Imam prostrates before you and raises himself before you. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The one is equivalent to the other. And when he the Imam sits for Qada for tashahhud the first words of every one amongst you should be: All services rendered by words; acts of worship and all good things are due to Allah. Peace be upon you; O Apostle; and Allah mercy and blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the upright servants of Allah. I testify that there is no god but Allah; and I testify that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger. The Chapter on Glory And Praise To Allah In Recitation in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 16 in Sahih Muslim

Umm Haram was married to Ubadah bint AlSamit. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon her and she fed him and checked his head for lice. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ fell asleep; then he woke up smiling. She said: What is making you smile; O Messenger of Allah? He said: Some people of my Ummah were shown to me; fighting in the cause of Allah and riding across the sea like kings on thrones. I said: O Messenger of Allah; pray to Allah to make me one of them. So the Messenger of Allah; pray to Allah to make me one of them. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed for her then he slept again. One of narrators AlHarith; said in his narration : He slept then he woke up smiling. I said to him: What is making you smile; O Messenger of Allah? He said: Some people of my Ummah were shown to me; fighting in the cause of Allah and riding across the sea like kings on thrones; as he had said the first time. There has been no rain and the animals have died. Pray to Allah SWT to send us rain. He said: O Allah; send us rain; O Allah; send us rain. By Allah SWT ; we could not see even a wisp of a cloud in the sky; then a cloud appeared and grew; and it rained. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came down and prayed; and the people departed; and it continued to rain until the following Friday. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up to deliver the Khutbah; they called out to him and said: O Prophet of Allah; the houses are destroyed and the routes are cut off. Pray to Allah to take it away from us. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiled and said: O Allah; around us and not on us! Then is dispersed from AlMadinah and rain fell around AlMadinah but not a single drop fell on AlMadinah. He covered himself with it and urinated. Then we said: Look at him. He is urinating as a woman does. The Prophet ﷺ ; heard this and said: Do you not know what befell a person from amongst Banu Israil the children of Israel ? When urine fell on them; they would cut off the place where the urine fell; but he that person forbade them to do so ; and was punished in his grave.Abu Dawud said: One version of Abu Mousa has the wording: he cut off his skin.Another version of Abu Mousa goes: he cut off part of his body. The Chapter on Ablution And Sprinkling Of Urine in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Avoiding The Splatter Of Urine in Sunan Abu Dawoud

SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-28990Narrated Amir AlRam: We were in our country when flags and banners were raised. I said: What is this? The the people said: This is the banner of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. So I came to him. He was sitting under a tree. A sheet of cloth was spread for him and he was sitting on it. His Companions were gathered around him. I sat with them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned illness and said: When a believer is afflicted by illness and Allah cures him of it; it serves as an atonement for his previous sins and a warning to him for the future. But when a hypocrite becomes ill and is then cured; he is like a camel which has been tethered and then let loose by its owners; but does not know why they tethered it and why they let it loose. A man from among those around him asked: Messenger of Allah; what are illnesses? I swear by Allah; I never fell ill. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Get up and leave us. You do not belong to our number. When we were with him; a man came to him. He had a sheet of cloth and something in his hand. He turned his attention to him and said: Messenger of Allah; when I saw you; I turned towards you. I saw a group of trees and heard the sound of fledglings. I took them and put them in my garment. Their mother then came and began to hover round my head. I showed them to her; and she fell on them. I wrapped them with my garment. They are now with me. He said: Put them away from you. So I put them away; but their mother stayed with them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to his companions: Are you surprised at the affection of the mother for her young? They said: Yes; Messenger of Allah. He said: I swear by Him Who has sent me with the Truth; Allah is more affectionate to His servants than a mother to her young ones. Take them back put them and where you took them from when their mother should have been with them. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-29554Zaid Bin Thabit said I was beside the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ when the divinely-inspired calmness overtook him and the thigh of the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ fell on my thigh. I did not find any weightier than the thigh of the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ. He then regained his composure and said Write down. I wrote on a shoulder. Not equal are thise believers who sit at home ; other than those who have a disabling hurt; and those who strive in the way of Allaah. When Ibn Umm Makhtum who was blind heard the excellence of the warriors. He stood up and said Apostle of Allaah ﷺ how is it for those believers who are unable to fight in the path of Allaah ? When he finished his question his divinely-inspired calmness overtook him; and his thigh fell on my thigh and I found its weight the second time as I found the first time. When the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ regained his composure; he said Apostle of Allaah ﷺ said Other than those who have a disabling hurt. Zaid said Allaah; the exalted; revealed it alone and I appended it.
