He said: "How long didst thou tarry (thus)?" He said: (Perhaps) a day or part of a day." He said: "Nay, thou hast tarried thus a hundred years; but look at thy food and thy drink; they show no signs of age; and look at thy donkey: And that We may make of thee a sign unto the people, Look further at the bones, how We bring them together and clothe them with flesh." So I came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: Messenger of Allah may peace be upon ; we are suffering from famine; and I have no property which I feed my family except some fat asses; and you have forbidden the flesh of domestic asses. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-29155 | Narrated AlBara Bin Azib: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered a sermon to us on the day of sacrifice after the prayer. He said: If anyone prays like our prayer; and sacrifices like our sacrifice; his sacrifice is all right. If anyone sacrifices before the prayer for Id ; that is goat meant for flesh. Abu Burdah Bin Niyar stood up and said: Messenger of Allah; I swear by Allah; I sacrificed before I went for prayer.
