SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1307 | Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; There will be three types of people whom Allah will neither speak to them on the Day of Resurrection nor will purify them from sins; and they will have a painful punishment: They are; 1 a man possessed superfluous water more than he needs on a way and he withholds it from the travelers. 2 a man who gives a pledge of allegiance to an Imam ruler and gives it only for worldly benefits; if the Imam gives him what he wants; he abides by his pledge; otherwise he does not fulfill his pledge; 3 and a man who sells something to another man after the Asr prayer and swears by Allah a false oath that he has been offered so much for it whereupon the buyer believes him and buys it although in fact; the seller has not been offered such a price. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1354 | Narrated Hudhaifa Bin AlYaman: The people used to ask Allah Messenger ﷺ about the good but I used to ask him about the evil lest I should be overtaken by them. So I said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! We were living in ignorance and in an extremely worst atmosphere; then Allah brought to us this good i.e.; Islam ; will there be any evil after this good? He said; Yes. I said; Will there be any good after that evil? He replied; Yes; but it will be tainted not pure. I asked; What will be its taint? He replied; There will be some people who will guide others not according to my tradition? You will approve of some of their deeds and disapprove of some others. I asked; Will there be any evil after that good? He replied; Yes; there will be some people calling at the gates of the Hell Fire; and whoever will respond to their call; will be thrown by them into the Hell Fire. I said; O Allah s Apostle! Will you describe them to us? He said; They will be from our own people and will speak our language. I said; What do you order me to do if such a state should take place in my life? He said; Stick to the group of Muslims and their Imam ruler. I said; If there is neither a group of Muslims nor an Imam ruler ? He said; Then turn away from all those sects even if you were to bite eat the roots of a tree till death overtakes you while you are in that state. | The Chapter on Hell Fire And Suicide in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on If there is no righteous group of Muslims in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3697 | Narrated Qais Bin Abi Hazim: Abu Bakr went to a lady from the Ahmas tribe called Zainab bint AlMuhajir and found that she refused to speak. He asked; Why does she not speak. The people said; She has intended to perform Hajj without speaking. He said to her; Speak; for it is illegal not to speak; as it is an action of the pre-islamic period of ignorance. So she spoke and said; Who are you? He said; A man from the Emigrants. She asked; Which Emigrants? He replied; From Quraish. She asked; From what branch of Quraish are you? He said; You ask too many questions; I am Abu Bakr. She said; How long shall we enjoy this good order i.e. Islamic religion which Allah has brought after the period of ignorance? He said; You will enjoy it as long as your Imams keep on abiding by its rules and regulations. She asked; What are the Imams? He said; Were there not heads and chiefs of your nation who used to order the people and they used to obey them? She said; Yes. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-397 | Narrated Ibn Juraij: Ata said; Jabir Bin Abdullah said; The Prophet ﷺ went out on the Day of Eid AlFitr and offered the prayer before delivering the Khutba; Ata told me that during the early days of Ibn AlZubair; Ibn Abbas had sent a message to him telling him that the Adhan for the Id Prayer was never pronounced in the life time of Allah Messenger ﷺ and the Khutba used to be delivered after the prayer. Ata told me that Ibn Abbas and Jabir Bin Abdullah; had said; There was no Adhan for the prayer of Eid AlFitr and Eid AlAqha. Ata said; I heard Jabir Bin Abdullah saying; The Prophet ﷺ stood up and started with the prayer; and after it he delivered the Khutba. When the Prophet ﷺ of Allah ﷺ finished the Khutba ; he went to the women and preached to them; while he was leaning on Bilal hand. Bilal was spreading his garment and the ladies were putting alms in it. I said to Ata; Do you think it incumbent upon an Imam to go to the women and preach to them after finishing the prayer and Khutba? Bilal was spreading out his garment where the women were putting their alms. I asked Ata whether it was the Zakat of Eid AlFitr. He said; No; it was just alms given at that time. Some lady put her finger ring and the others would do the same. I said; to Ata ; Do you think that it is incumbent upon the Imam to give advice to the women on Id day ? SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6479 | Narrated Sahl Bin Abi Hathma: describing the Fear prayer : The Imam stands up facing the Qibla and one batch of them i.e. the army out of the two prays along with him and the other batch faces the enemy. The Imam offers one raka with the first batch they themselves stand up alone and offer one bowing and two prostrations while they are still in their place; and then go away to relieve the second batch; and the second batch comes and takes the place of the first batch in the prayer behind the Imam and he offers the second raka with them. So he completes his two-rakat and then the second batch bows and prostrates two prostrations i.e. complete their second raka and thus all complete their prayer. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-656 | Narrated Anas Bin Malik: Once Allah Messenger ﷺ rode a horse and fell down and the right side of his body was injured. He offered one of the prayers while sitting and we also prayed behind him sitting. When he completed the prayer; he said; The Imam is to be followed. Pray standing if he prays standing and bow when he bows; rise when he rises; and if he says; Samia Allahu-liman hamidah; say then; Rabbana wa laka lhamd and pray standing if he prays standing and pray sitting all of you if he prays sitting. Humaid said: The saying of the Prophet ﷺ Pray sitting; if he Imam prays sitting was said in his former illness during his early life but the Prophet ﷺ prayed sitting afterwards in the last illness and the people were praying standing behind him and the Prophet ﷺ did not order them to sit. We should follow the latest actions of the Prophet. | The Chapter on Prayers And Mercy Praise And Supplications in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The Imam is appointed to be followed in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-672 | Narrated Abu Masud: A man came and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! I keep away from the morning prayer because so-and-so Imam prolongs it too much. Allah Messenger ﷺ became furious and I had never seen him more furious than he was on that day. The Prophet ﷺ said; O people! Some of you make others dislike the prayer; so whoever becomes an Imam he should shorten the prayer; as behind him are the weak; the old and the needy. | The Chapter on in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Complaining against one Imam if he prolongs the prayer in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6850 | Narrated Nafi: Whenever Abdullah Bin Umar was asked about Prayer AlKhauf i.e. prayer of fear he said; The Imam comes forward with a group of people and leads them in a one raka prayer while another group from them who has not prayed yet; stay between the praying group and the enemy. When those who are with the Imam have finished their one raka; they retreat and take the positions of those who have not prayed but they will not finish their prayers with Taslim. Those who have not prayed; come forward to offer a raka with the Imam while the first group covers them from the enemy. Then the Imam; having offered two rakat; finishes his prayer. Then each member of the two groups offer the second raka alone after the Imam has finished his prayer. Thus each one of the two groups will have offered two rakat. But if the fear is too great; they can pray standing on their feet or riding on their mounts; facing the Qibla or not. Nafi added: I do not think that Abdullah Bin Umar narrated this except from Allah Messenger ﷺ See Hadith No. 451; Vol 5 to know exactly The Fear Prayer. | The Chapter on Enemies And Groups And Bowing in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Prophetic Commentary on the Quran Tafseer of the Prophet in Sahih AlBukhari |

SahihMuslim-017-001-18585 | Abu Huraira narrated on the authority of Abu Bakr that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Three are the persons with whom Allah would neither speak on the Day of Resurrection; nor would He look towards them; nor would purify them from sins ; and there would be a tormenting chastisement for them: a person who in the waterless desert has more water than his need and he refuses to give it to the traveller and a person who sold a commodity to another person in the afternoon and took an oath of Allah that he had bought it at such and such price and he the buyer accepted it to be true though it was not a fact; and a person who pledged allegiance to the Imam but for the sake of the world material gains. He was then asked about perpetual fasting; whereupon he said: He neither fasted nor did he break it; or he did not fast and he did not break it. He was then asked about fasting for two days and breaking one day. He the Holy Prophet said: And who has strength enough to do it? He was asked about fasting for a day and breaking for two days; whereupon he said: May Allah bestow upon us strength to do it. And when he the Imam recites the takbir; you may also recite the takbir; for the Imam bows before you and raises himself before you. And when he the Imam recites the takbir and prostrates; you should also recite the takbir and prostrate; for the Imam prostrates before you and raises himself before you. The other section should stand facing the enemy. The imam should perform bowing and prostrate himself along with those who are with him. He then should stand after prostration and; when he stands straight; he should remain standing. They the people should in the meantime complete their remaining rakah i.e. the second one. They they should utter the salutation; and turn away while the imam should remain standing. They should go before the enemy. Thereafter those who did not pray should come forward and utter the takbir Allah is most great behind imam. He should bow and prostrate along with them and utter the salutation. Then they should stand and completed their remaining rakah; and utter the salutation.Abu Dawud said: The tradition reported by Yahya Bin Saeed from AlQasim is similar to the one transmitted by Yazid Bin Ruman except that he differed with him in salutation. MuwataMalik-017-001-34292 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya Ibn Said from AlQasim Ibn Muhammad from Salih Ibn Khawat that Sahl Ibn Abi Hathma related to him that the form of the prayer of fear was that the imam stood with a group of his companions; while another group faced the enemy. The imam prayed one raka with them; including the prostration; and then stood. He remained standing while they completed the remaining raka by themselves. They then said the taslim; left; and formed up opposite the enemy while the imam remained standing. Then the others who had not prayed came forward and said the takbir behind the imam and he prayed one raka with them; including the prostration. He then said the taslim; while they stood up and prayed the remaining raka by themselves. When those who are with him have prayed a raka they draw back to where those who have not prayed are; and do not say the taslim. Then those who have not prayed come forward and pray a raka with him. Then the imam leaves; as he has now prayed two rakas. Everyone else in the two groups stands and prays a raka by himself after the imam has left. In this way each of the two groups will have prayed two rakas. Malik was asked how many rakas there were in the prayer of asking for rain and he said; Two rakas; and the imam does the prayer before he gives the khutba. He prays two rakas; and then he gives a khutba and makes dua; facing the qibla and turning his cloak inside out. He recites out loud in both rakas; and when he turns his cloak inside out he puts what is on his right on his left; and what is on his left on his right; and all the people turn their cloaks inside out when the imam does so; and face the qibla; sitting. | The Chapter on Bowing In Prayers And Mina And Alqiblah in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Prayer in Ramadan in Muwata Malik

MuwataMalik-017-001-35428 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab that AlQasim Ibn Muhammad said that he had heard a man asking Ibn Abbas about booty. Then the man said; What are the spoils which He; the Blessed; the Exalted; mentioned in His Book? He kept on asking until Ibn Abbas was on the verge of being annoyed; then Ibn Abbas said; Do you know who this man is like? Ibn Sabigh; who was beaten by Umar Ibn AlKhattab because he was notorious for asking foolish questions. Yahya said that Malik was asked whether someone who killed one of the enemy could keep the man effects without the permission of the Imam. He said; No one can do that without the permission of the Imam. Only the Imam can make ijtihad. We do not have a known reliable command about that other than it is up to the ijtihad of the Sultan. I have not heard that the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; gave bonuses in all his raids. I have only heard that he gave bonuses in one of them; namely the day of Hunayn. That is because the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; Whoever catches a raka of the prayer has caught the prayer. Malik said; concerning some one who was in a crowd on the day of jumua and did the ruku but was not able to go into sajda until the imam had risen or finished his prayer; If he is able to do the sajda and has already done the ruku then he should do the sajda when the people stand up. Malik said; What we are all agreed upon here in Madina is that the imam does not recite the Quran out loud in dhuhr on the day of Arafa; and that he gives a khutba to the people on that day; and that the prayer on the day of Arafa is really a dhuhr prayer; and even if it coincides with a jumua it is still a dhuhr prayer; but one which has been shortened because of travelling. Then he went out a third time after mid-day and said the takbir; and everyone repeated it after him until it resounded from group to group until it reached the House and people knew that Umar had left to throw the stones. Malik said; What we do here in Madina is to say the takbir during the days of tashriq after each prayer. The first time is when the imam and everyone with him says the takbir after the dhuhr prayer on the day of sacrifice; and the last is when the imam and everyone with him says the takbir after subh on the last of the days of tashriq; after which he stops saying the takbir. Malik said; The takbirs during the days of tashriq should be done by both men and women; whether they are in a group or by themselves; at Mina or elsewhere; and all of the takbirs should be done. In this everyone follows the imam of the hajj and the people at Mina; because when everyone returns to Makka and comes out of ihram they keep the same people as imams while out of ihram as they did when they were in ihram. Some one who is not doing hajj does not follow them except for the takbirs during the days of tashriq. Malik said; The limited number of days are the days of tashriq. | The Chapter on Tashahhud And Supplication in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Business Transactions in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-36024 | Yahya related to me from Malik that Ibn Shihab used to say; When a man catches the raka he says; Allah is greater once; and that takbir is enough for him. Malik added; That is if he intended to begin the prayer by that takbir Malik was asked about a man who began with the imam but forgot the opening takbir and the takbir of the ruku until he had done one raka. Then he remembered that he had not said the takbir at the opening nor in the ruku;so he said the takbir in the second raka. He said; I prefer that he start his prayer again; but if he forgets the opening takbir with the imam and says the takbir in the first ruku; I consider that enough for him if he intends by it the opening takbir. Malik said; about some one who prayed by himself and forgot the opening takbir; He begins his prayer afresh. Malik said; about an imam who forgot the opening takbir until he had finished his prayer; I think that he should do the prayer again; and those behind him; even if they have said the takbir. | The Chapter on Tashahhud And Bowing in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Fasting in Muwata Malik
