Surat Alaaraf Ayah 37Surat Alaaraf-0.6937فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ كَذَّبَ بِآيَاتِهِ أُولَئِكَ يَنَالُهُمْ نَصِيبُهُمْ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُنَا يَتَوَفَّوْنَهُمْ قَالُوا أَيْنَ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ قَالُوا ضَلُّوا عَنَّا وَشَهِدُوا عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا كَافِرِينَWho is more unjust than one who invents a lie against Allah or rejects His Signs? For such, their portion appointed must reach them from the Book (of decrees): until, when our messengers (of death) arrive and take their souls, they say: "Where are the things that ye used to invoke besides Allah?" They will reply, "They have left us in the lurch," And they will bear witness against themselves, that they had rejected Allah.

This day have those who reject faith given up all hope of your religion: yet fear them not but fear Me. This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But if any is forced by hunger, with no inclination to transgression, Allah is indeed Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

But (even so), if a person is forced by necessity, without wilful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits, - thy Lord is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

Say: "Sufficient is Allah for me! In Him trust those who put their trust."

SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1070Narrated Ata Bin Yazid AlLaithi: On the authority of Abu Huraira: The people said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Shall we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection? The Prophet ﷺ said; Do you have any difficulty in seeing the moon on a full moon night? They said; No; O Allah Messenger ﷺ. He said; Do you have any difficulty in seeing the sun when there are no clouds? They said; No; O Allah Messenger ﷺ. He said; So you will see Him; like that. Allah will gather all the people on the Day of Resurrection; and say; Whoever worshipped something in the world should follow that thing ; so; whoever worshipped the sun will follow the sun; and whoever worshiped the moon will follow the moon; and whoever used to worship certain other false deities; he will follow those deities. And there will remain only this nation with its good people or its hypocrites. The sub-narrator; Ibrahim is in doubt. Allah will come to them and say; I am your Lord. They will deny Him and say; We will stay here till our Lord comes; for when our Lord comes; we will recognize Him. So Allah will come to them in His appearance which they know; and will say; I am your Lord. They will say; You are our Lord; so they will follow Him. Then a bridge will be laid across Hell Fire I and my followers will be the first ones to go across it and none will speak on that Day except the Apostles. And the invocation of the Apostles on that Day will be; O Allah; save! Save! In Hell or over The Bridge there will be hooks like the thorns of AlSadan thorny plant. Have you seen AlSadan? They replied; Yes; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! He said; So those hooks look like the thorns of AlSadan; but none knows how big they are except Allah. Those hooks will snap the people away according to their deeds. Some of the people will stay in Hell be destroyed because of their evil deeds; and some will be cut or torn by the hooks and fall into Hell and some will be punished and then relieved. When Allah has finished His Judgments among the people; He will take whomever He will out of Hell through His Mercy. He will then order the angels to take out of the Fire all those who used to worship none but Allah from among those whom Allah wanted to be merciful to and those who testified in the world that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah. The angels will recognize them in the Fire by the marks of prostration on their foreheads ; for the Fire will eat up all the human body except the mark caused by prostration as Allah has forbidden the Fire to eat the mark of prostration. They will come out of the Hell Fire; completely burnt and then the water of life will be poured over them and they will grow under it as does a seed that comes in the mud of the torrent. Then Allah will finish the judgments among the people; and there will remain one man facing the Hell Fire and he will be the last person among the people of Hell to enter Paradise. He will say; O my Lord! Please turn my face away from the fire because its air has hurt me and its severe heat has burnt me. So he will invoke Allah in the way Allah will wish him to invoke; and then Allah will say to him; If I grant you that; will you then ask for anything else? He will reply; No; by Your Power; Honor I will not ask You for anything else. He will give his Lord whatever promises and covenants Allah will demand. So Allah will turn his face away from Hell Fire. When he will face Paradise and will see it; he will remain quiet for as long as Allah will wish him to remain quiet; then he will say; O my Lord! Bring me near to the gate of Paradise. Allah will say to him; Didnt you give your promises and covenants that you would never ask for anything more than what you had been given? Woe on you; O Adam son! How treacherous you are! He will say; O my lord; and will keep on invoking Allah till He says to him; If I give what you are asking; will you then ask for anything else? He will reply; No; by Your Honor Power; I will not ask for anything else. Then he will give covenants and promises to Allah and then Allah will bring him near to the gate of Paradise. When he stands at the gate of Paradise; Paradise will be opened and spread before him; and he will see its splendor and pleasures whereupon he will remain quiet as long as Allah will wish him to remain quiet; and then he will say; O my Lord! Admit me into Paradise. Allah will say; Didnt you give your covenants and promises that you would not ask for anything more than what you had been given? Allah will say; Woe on you; O Adam son! How treacherous you are! The man will say; O my Lord! Do not make me the most miserable of Your creation; and he will keep on invoking Allah till Allah will laugh because of his sayings; and when Allah will laugh because of him; He will say to him; Enter Paradise; and when he will enter it; Allah will say to him; Wish for anything. So he will ask his Lord; and he will wish for a great number of things; for Allah Himself will remind him to wish for certain things by saying; Wish for so-and-so. When there is nothing more to wish for; Allah will say; This is for you; and its equal is for you as well. Ata Bin Yazid added: Abu Saeed AlKhudri who was present with Abu Huraira; did not deny whatever the latter said; but when Abu Huraira said that Allah had said; That is for you and its equal as well; Abu Saeed AlKhudri said; And ten times as much; O Abu Huraira! Abu Huraira said; I do not remember; except his saying; That is for you and its equal as well. Abu Saeed AlKhudri then said; I testify that I remember the Prophet ﷺ saying; That is for you; and ten times as much. One day the Prophet ﷺ visited her and she provided him with food and started looking for lice in his head. Then Allah Messenger ﷺ slept and afterwards woke up smiling. Um Haram asked; What makes you smile; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ? He said; Some of my followers were presented before me in my dream as fighters in Allah Cause; sailing in the middle of the seas like kings on the thrones or like kings sitting on their thrones. The narrator Ishaq is not sure as to which expression was correct. Um Haram added; I said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Invoke Allah; to make me one of them; So Allah Messenger ﷺ invoked Allah for her and then laid his head down and slept. Then he woke up smiling again. Um Haram added : I said; What makes you smile; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ? He said; Some people of my followers were presented before me in a dream as fighters in Allah Cause. He said the same as he had said before. I said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Invoke Allah to make me from them. He said; You are among the first ones. Then one day he said; O Aisha! Do you know that Allah has advised me as to the problem I consulted Him about? Aisha said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! What that? He said; Two men came to me and one of them sat at my head and the other at my feet; and one of them asked his companion; What is wrong with this man? The latter replied; He is under the effect of magic. The former asked; Who has worked magic on him? The latter replied; Labid Bin AlAsam. The former asked; With what did he work the magic? The latter replied; With a comb and the hair; which are stuck to the comb; and the skin of pollen of a date-palm tree. The former asked; Where is that? The latter replied; It is in Dharwan. Dharwan was a well in the dwelling place of the tribe of Bani Zuraiq. Allah Messenger ﷺ went to that well and returned to Aisha; saying; By Allah; the water of the well was as red as the infusion of Hinna; 1 and the date-palm trees look like the heads of devils. Aisha added; Allah Messenger ﷺ came to me and informed me about the well. I asked the Prophet; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ; why didnt you take out the skin of pollen? He said; As for me; Allah has cured me and I hated to draw the attention of the people to such evil which they might learn and harm others with. Narrated Hisham father: Aisha said; Allah Messenger ﷺ was bewitched; so he invoked Allah repeatedly requesting Him to cure him from that magic. Hisham then narrated the above narration. And then I looked and saw a large multitude of people; so I asked Gabriel; Are these people my followers? He said; No; but look towards the horizon. I looked and saw a very large multitude of people. Gabriel said. Those are your followers; and those are seventy thousand persons in front of them who will neither have any reckoning of their accounts nor will receive any punishment. I asked; Why? He said; For they used not to treat themselves with branding cauterization nor with Ruqya get oneself treated by the recitation of some Verses of the Quran and not to see evil omen in things; and they used to put their trust only in their Lord. He said; Do you crowd and squeeze each other on looking at the sun when it is not hidden by clouds? They replied; No; Allah Messenger ﷺ. He said; Do you crowd and squeeze each other on looking at the moon when it is full and not hidden by clouds? They replied; No; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! He said; So you will see Him your Lord on the Day of Resurrection similarly Allah will gather all the people and say; Whoever used to worship anything should follow that thing. So; he who used to worship the sun; will follow it; and he who used to worship the moon will follow it; and he who used to worship false deities will follow them; and then only this nation i.e.; Muslims will remain; including their hypocrites. Allah will come to them in a shape other than they know and will say; I am your Lord. They will say; We seek refuge with Allah from you. This is our place; we will not follow you till our Lord comes to us; and when our Lord comes to us; we will recognize Him. Then Allah will come to then in a shape they know and will say; I am your Lord. They will say; No doubt You are our Lord; and they will follow Him. Then a bridge will be laid over the Hell Fire. Allah Messenger ﷺ added; I will be the first to cross it. And the invocation of the Apostles on that Day; will be Allahumma Sallim; Sallim O Allah; save us; save us! ; and over that bridge there will be hooks Similar to the thorns of As Sadan a thorny tree. Didnt you see the thorns of AlSadan? The companions said; Yes; O Allah Messenger ﷺ. He added; So the hooks over that bridge will be like the thorns of AlSa-dan except that their greatness in size is only known to Allah. These hooks will snatch the people according to their deeds. Some people will be ruined because of their evil deeds; and some will be cut into pieces and fall down in Hell; but will be saved afterwards; when Allah has finished the judgments among His slaves; and intends to take out of the Fire whoever He wishes to take out from among those who used to testify that none had the right to be worshipped but Allah. We will order the angels to take them out and the angels will know them by the mark of the traces of prostration on their foreheads for Allah banned the f ire to consume the traces of prostration on the body of Adam son. So they will take them out; and by then they would have burnt as coal ; and then water; called Maul Hayat water of life will be poured on them; and they will spring out like a seed springs out on the bank of a rainwater stream; and there will remain one man who will be facing the Hell Fire and will say; O Lord! It Hells vapor has Poisoned and smoked me and its flame has burnt me; please turn my face away from the Fire. He will keep on invoking Allah till Allah says; Perhaps; if I give you what you want ; you will ask for another thing? The man will say; No; by Your Power; I will not ask You for anything else. Then Allah will turn his face away from the Fire. The man will say after that; O Lord; bring me near the gate of Paradise. Allah will say to him ; Didnt you promise not to ask for anything else? Woe to you; O son of Adam ! How treacherous you are! The man will keep on invoking Allah till Allah will say; But if I give you that; you may ask me for something else. The man will say; No; by Your Power. I will not ask for anything else. He will give Allah his covenant and promise not to ask for anything else after that. So Allah will bring him near to the gate of Paradise; and when he sees what is in it; he will remain silent as long as Allah will; and then he will say; O Lord! Let me enter Paradise. Allah will say; Didnt you promise that you would not ask Me for anything other than that? Woe to you; O son of Adam ! How treacherous you are! On that; the man will say; O Lord! Do not make me the most wretched of Your creation; and will keep on invoking Allah till Allah will smile and when Allah will smile because of him; then He will allow him to enter Paradise; and when he will enter Paradise; he will be addressed; Wish from so-and-so. He will wish till all his wishes will be fulfilled; then Allah will say; All this i.e. what you have wished for and as much again therewith are for you. The first one asked; Who has worked the magic on him? The other replied; Labid Bin AlAsam. The first one asked; What material did he use? The other replied; A comb and the hairs stuck to it and the skin of pollen of a male date palm. The first one asked; Where is that? The other replied; That is in the well of Dharwan; So Allah Messenger ﷺ along with some of his companions went there and came back saying; O Aisha; the color of its water is like the infusion of Henna leaves. The tops of the date-palm trees near it are like the heads of the devils. I asked. O Allah Messenger ﷺ ? Why did you not show it to the people ? He said; Since Allah cured me; I disliked to let evil spread among the people. I asked him: Abu Miqdam; have you heard it from Muslim Bin Qaraza or did he describe it to you and he heard it from Auf Bin Malik and he transmitted this tradition of Allah Messenger ﷺ ? SahihMuslim-017-001-18133It has been reported on the authority of Salama Bin Akwa who said: On the day of the Battle of Khaibar my brother fought a fierce fight by the side of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. His sword rebounded and killed him. The Companions of the Messenger of Allah may peace be upon hill talked about his death and doubted whether it was martyrdom. They said : He is a man killed by his own weapon; and expressed doubt about his affair. Salama said: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned from Khaibar; I said: Messenger of Allah; permit me that I may recite to you some rajaz verses. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ permitted him. Umar Bin AlKhattab said: I know what you will recite. I recited: By God; if God had guided us not; We would hive neither been guided aright nor practised charity; Nor offered prayers. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: What you have said is true; I continued : And descend on us peace and tranquillity And keep us steadfast if we encounter with our enemies And the polytheists have rebelled against us. When I finished my rajaz; the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Who composed these verses? I said: They were composed by my brother. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: May God show mercy to him! I said: By God; some people are reluctant to invoke God mercy on him because they say he is a man who died by his own sword. Hearing this the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: He died as God devotee and warrior. Ibn Shihab has said: I asked one of the sons of Salama Bin Akwa about the death of Amir. He related to me a similar tradition except that he said: When I said some people were reluctant invoke God blessings on him; the Messenger of Allah may peace be; upon him said: They lied. Amir died as God devotee and warrior in the cause of Allah. He the narrator said: Upon this Umar said: Messenger of Allah; I wish that you should pool together what has been left out of the provisions with the people and then invoke the blessings of Allah upon it. He the narrator said: He the Holy Prophet did it accordingly. He the narrator said: The one who had wheat in his possession came there with wheat. He who had dates with him came there with dates. And Mujahid said: He who possessed stones of dates came there with stones. I the narrator said: What did they do with the date-stones. They said: They the people sucked them and then drank water over them. He the narrator said : He the Holy Prophet invoked the blessings of Allah upon them provisions. He the narrator said: And there was such a miraculous increase in the stocks that the people replenished their provisions fully. He the narrator said: At that time he the Holy Prophet said: I bear testimony to the fact that there is no god but Allah; and I am His messenger. SahihMuslim-017-001-18428It is narrated either on the authority of Abu Huraira or that of Abu Saeed Khudri. The narrator Amash has narrated this hadith with a little bit of doubt about the name of the very first narrator who was in direct contact with the Holy Prophet. He was either Abu Huraira or Abu Saeed Khudri. Both are equally reliable transmitters of the traditions. He the narrator said: During the time of Tabuk expedition; the provisions ran short and the men of the army suffered starvation; they said: Messenger of Allah; would you permit us to slay our camels? We would eat them and use their fat. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Do as you please. He the narrator said: Then Umar came there and said: Messenger of Allah; if you do that if you give your consent and the men begin to slay their camels ; the riding animals would become short. But I would suggest you to summon them along with the provisions left with them Then invoke Allah blessings on them different items of the provisions It is hoped Allah shall bless them. The Messenger of Allah replied in the affirmative. the narrator said: He called for a leather mat to be used as a table cloth and spread it out. Then he called people along with the remaining portions of their provisions. He the narrator said: Someone was coming with handful of mote; another was coming with a handful of dates; still another was coming with a portion of bread; till small quantities of these things were collected on the table cloth. He the narrator said : Then the messenger of Allah invoked blessing on them and said: Fill your utensils with these provisions. He the narrator said: They filled their vessel to the brim with them; and no one amongst the army which comprised of 30;000 persons was left even with a single empty vessel. He the narrator aid: They ate to their fill; and there was still a surplus. Upon this the Messenger of Allah ﷺ remarked: I bear testimony that there is no god but Allah and I am the messenger of Allah. SahihMuslim-017-001-19795Anas Bin Malik reported that there was an orphan girl with Umm Sulaim who was the mother of Anas. Allah Messenger ﷺ saw that orphan girl and said: O; it is you; you have grown young. May you not advance in years! That slave-girl returned to Umm Sulaim weeping. Umm Sulaim said: O daughter; what is the matter with you? She said: Allah Apostle ﷺ has invoked curse upon me that I should not grow in age and thus I would never grow in age; or she said; in my length of life. Umm Sulaim went out wrapping her head-dress hurriedly until she met Allah Messenger ﷺ. He said to her: Umm Sulaim; what is the matter with you? She said: Allah Apostle; you invoked curse upon my orphan girl. He said: Umm Sulaim; what is that? She said: She the orphan girl states you have cursed her saying that she might not grow in age or grow in life. Allah Messenger ﷺ smiled and then said: Umm Sulaim; dont you know that I have made this term with my Lord. So Aasi m asked Allah Messenger ﷺ and he did not like this question and he disapproved of it so much thatAsim felt aggrieved at what he had heard from Allah Messenger ﷺ. When Aasi m came back to his family; Uwaimir came to him and said: Aasi m; what did Allah Messenger ﷺ say to you? Aasi m said to Uwaimir: You did not bring something good. Allah Messenger ﷺ did not like this religious verdict that I sought from him. Uwaimir said: By Allah; I will not rest until I have asked him about it. Uwaimir proceeded until he came to Allah Messenger ﷺ as he was sitting amidst people; and said: Messenger of Allah; tell me about a person who found a man with his wife. Should he kill him; and then you would kill him; or how should he act? Thereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: Verses have been revealed concerning you and your wife; so go and bring her. Sahl said that they both invoked curses and further said : I was along with people in the company of Allah Messenger ﷺ. And when they had finished; Uwaimir said: Allah Messenger; I shall have told a lie against her if I keep her now. So he divorced her with three pronouncements before Allah Messenger ﷺ had commanded him. SahihMuslim-017-001-21197Ibn Shihab narrated about the invokers of curses and the practice of lian based on the authority of Sahl Bin Sad; of the tribe of Saida. that a person from the Ansar came to Allah Apostle ﷺ and said: Allah Messenger; tell me about the person who found a man with his wife. SahihMuslim-017-001-21198Saeed b Jubair reported: I was asked about the invokers of curses during the reign of mousab Bin AlZubair whether they could separate themselves by this process. He said: I did not understand what to say. So I went to the house of Ibn Umar Allah be pleased with them in Mecca. I said to his servant: Seek permission for Me. He said that he Ibn Umar had been taking rest. He Ibn Umar heard my voice. and said: Are you Ibn Jubair? I said: Yes. Hesaid: Come in. By Allah; it must be some great need which has brought you here at this Hour. So I got in and found him lying on a blanket reclining against a pillow stuffed with fibres of date-palm. I said: O AbuAbd AlRahman; should there be separation between the invokers of curses? He said: Hallowed be Allah; yes; The first one who asked about it was so and so. he said: Messenger of Allah; tell me If one of us finds his wife committing adultery: what should he do? If he talks; that is something great; and if he keeps quiet that is also something great which he cannot afford to do. Allah Prophet ﷺ kept quiet or some time. After some time he that very person came to him Allah Messenger and said: I have been involved in that very cage about which I had asked you Allah the Exalted and Majestic then revealed these verses of Surah Nur: Those who accuse their wives verse 6 ; and he the Holy Prophet recited them to him and admonished him; and exhorted him and informed him that the torment of the world is less painful than the torment of the Hereafter. He said: No; by Him Who sent you with Truth; I did not tell a lie against her. He the Holy Prophet then called her the wife of that person who had accused her and admonished her; and exhorted her; and informed her that the torment of this world is less painful than the torment of the Hereafter. She said: No; by Him Who sent thee with Truth; he is a liar. it was the man who started the swearing of oath and he swore in the name of Allah four times that he was among the truthful. and at the fifth turn he said: Let there be curse of Allah upon him if he were among the liars. Then the woman was called and she swore four times in the name of Allah that he her husband was among the liars; and at the fifth time she said : Let there be curse upon her if he were among the truthful. SahihMuslim-017-001-21207Abdullah reported: We were on the night of Friday staying in the Masjid when a person from the Ansar came there and said: If a person finds hiswoman along with a man; and he speaks about it; you would lash him; and if he kills; you will kill him; and if he keeps quiet he shall have to consume anger. By Allah; I will definitely ask about him from Allah Mescenger ﷺ. On the following day he came to Allah Messenger ﷺ and asked him thus: If a man were to find with his wife a man and if he were to talk about it; you would lash him; and if he killed; you would kill him; and if he were to keep quiet. he would consume anger; whereupon he the Holy Prophet said: Allah; solve this problem ; and he began to supplicate before Him ; and then the verses pertaining to lian were revealed: Those who accuse their wives and have no witnesses except themselves xxiv. 6. The person was then put to test according to these verses in the presence of the people. There came he and his wife in the presence of Allah Messenger ﷺ ; and they invoked curses in order to testify their claim. The man swore four times in the name of Allah that he was one of the truthful and then invoked curse for the fifth time saying: Let there be curse of Allah upon him if he were among the liars. Then she began to invoke curse. I did not know what to say; so I got up and went to the house of Ibn Umar and said: O Abu Abdulrahman should the two who engage in Lian be separated? He said: Yes; Subhan Allah! The first one who asked about that was so-and-so the son of so-and-so who said: O Messenger of Allah; what do you think if a man among us sees his wife committing immoral actions; and if he speaks of it; he will be speaking of a grave matter; but if he keeps quiet; he will be keeping quiet about a grave matter? He did not answer him; then after that; he came to him and said: I was tried with the matter that I asked you about; so Allah; the Mighty and Sublime; revealed these Verses in Surat AlNur.: And for those who accuse their wives until he reached: And the fifth testimony should be that the Wrath of Allah be upon her if he her husband speaks the truth. So he started with the man; exhorting him; reminding him; and telling him that the punishment in this world was less severe than the punishment in the Hereafter. He said: By the One Who sent you with the truth; I am not lying. Then he turned to the woman and exhorted her and reminded her. She said: By the One Who sent you with the truth; he is lying. So he started with the man; and he bore witness four times by Allah that he was telling the truth; and the fifth time he invoked the curse of Allah upon himself if he was lying. Then he turned to the woman and she bore witness four times by Allah that he was lying; and the fifth time she invoked the wrath of Allah upon herself if he was telling the truth. So; the man was first involved in this trial among the people. He and his wife came to the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ. They invoked curses on each other. The man bore witness before Allaah four times that the thing he said was indeed true. He then invoked curse of Allaah on him for the fifth time if he was a liar. She then wanted to invoke curses of Allaah on him. The Prophet ﷺ said Do not do that. Bust she refused and did so i.e.; invoked curses. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25095Ibn Abbas said Hilal Bin Umayah was one of the three persons whose repentance was accepted by Allaah. One night he returned from his land and found a man along with his wife. He witnessed with his eyes and heard with his ears. He did not threaten him till the morning. Next day he went to the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ in the morning and said Apostle of Allaah ﷺ I came to my wife in the night and found a man along with her. I saw with my own eyes and heard with my own ears. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ disliked what he described and he took it seriously. There upon the following Quranic verse came down And those who make charges against their spouses but have no witnesses except themselves; let the testimony of one of them.... When the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ came to himself after the revelation ended he said Glad tidings to you Hilal; Allaah the exalted has made ease and a way out for you. Hilal said I expected that from my Lord. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ said Send for her. She then came. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ recited the verses to them and he reminded them and told them that the punishment in the next world was more severe than that in n this world. Hilal said I swear by Allah I spoke the truth against her. She said He told a lie. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ said Apply the method of invoking curses on one another. Hilal was told Bear witness. So he bore witness before Allaah four times that he spoke the truth. When he was about to utter the fifth time he was told Hilal fear Allah; for the punishment in this world is easier than that in the next world and this is the deciding one; that will surely cause punishment to you. He said I swear by Allaah. Allah will not punish me for this act ; as He did not cause me to be flogged for this act. So he bore witness a fifth time invoking the curse of Allah on him if he was of those who tell a lie. Then the people said to her; Testify. So she gave testimony before Allaah that he was a liar. When she was going to testify the fifth time she was told Fear Allah; for the punishment in this world is easier than that in the next world. This is the deciding one that will surely cause punishment to you. She hesitated for a moment. And then said By Allah; I will not disgrace my people. So she testified a fifth time invoking the curse of Allah on her if he spoke the truth. Apostle of Allaah ﷺ separated them from each other and decided that the child will not be attributed to its father. Neither she nor her child will be accused of adultery. He who accuses her or her child will be liable to punishment. He also decided that there will be no dwelling and maintenance for her from the husband as they were separated without divorce and death. He then said If she gives birth to a child with reddish hair; light buttocks; wide belly and light shins he will be the child of Hilal. If she bears a dusky child with curly hair; fat limbs; fat shins and fat buttocks he will be the child of the one who was accused of adultery. She gave birth to a child with curly hair; fat limbs; fat shins and fat buttocks. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ said Had there been no oaths; I would have dealt with her severely.Ikrimah said Later on he became the chief of the tribe of Mudar.
