SahihAlBukhari-017-001-5613 | Narrated AlAmash: Shaqiq said; While I was sitting with Abdullah and Abu Mousa AlAshari; the latter asked the former; If a person becomes Junub and does not find water for one month; can he perform Tayammum and offer his prayer? He applied in the negative. Abu Mousa said; What do you say about this verse from Surat AlMaida: When you do not find water then perform Tayammum with clean earth? Abdullah replied; If we allowed it then they would probably perform Tayammum with clean earth even if water were available but cold. I said to Shaqiq; You then disliked to perform Tayammum because of this? Shaqiq said; Yes. Shaqiq added ; Abu Mousa said; Havent you heard the statement of Ammar to Umar? He said: I was sent out by Allah Messenger ﷺ for some job and I became Junub and could not find water so I rolled myself over the dust clean earth like an animal does; and when I told the Prophet ﷺ of that he said; Like this would have been sufficient. The Prophet ﷺ saying so lightly stroked the earth with his hand once and blew it off; then passed his left hand over the back of his right hand or his right hand over the back of his left hand and then passed them over his face. So Abdullah said to Abu Mousa; Dont you know that Umar was not satisfied with Ammar statement? Narrated Shaqiq: While I was with Abdullah and Abu Mousa; the latter said to the former; Havent you heard the statement of Ammar to Umar? He said; Allah Messenger ﷺ sent you and me out and I became Junub and rolled myself in the dust clean earth for Tayammum. When we came to Allah Apostle I told him about it and he said; This would have been sufficient; passing his hands over his face and the backs of his hands once only. | The Chapter on Personal Hygiene And Tayammum in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Tayammum with one light stroke on the earth in Sahih AlBukhari

MuwataMalik-017-001-35489 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdullah Ibn Abdulrahman Ibn Mamar AlAnsari from Abu Yunus; the mawla of Aisha; from Aisha that she overheard a man standing at the door saying to the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; Messenger of Allah; I get up in the morning junub; in a state of major ritual impurity; and want to fast; and the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; I too get up in the morning junub and want to fast; so I do ghusl and fast. The man said to him; You are not the same as us. Allah has forgiven you all your wrong actions that have gone before and those that have come after. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; got angry and said; By Allah; I hope that I am the most fearful of you with respect to Allah and the most knowledgeable of you in how I have taqwa. | The Chapter on Peace And Evil in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Divorce in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-35491 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Sumay; the mawla of Abu Bakr Ibn Abdulrahman Ibn AlHarith Ibn Hisham that he heard Abu Bakr Ibn Abdulrahman Ibn AlHarith Ibn Hisham say; My father and I were with Marwan Ibn AlHakam at the time when he was amir of Madina; and someone mentioned to him that Abu Huraira used to say; If someone begins the morning junub; he has broken the fast for that day. Marwan said; I swear to you; Abdar-Rahman; you must go to the two umm Almuminin; Aisha and Umm Salamah; and ask them about it. Abdulrahman went to visit Aisha and I accompanied him. He greeted her and then said; Umm Almuminin; we were with Marwan Ibn AlHakam and someone mentioned to him that Abu Huraira used to say that if some one had begun the morning junub; he had broken the fast for that day. Aisha said; It is not as Abu Huraira says Abdulrahman Do you dislike what the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; used to do?; and Abdulrahman said; No; by Allah. Aisha said; I bear witness that the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; used to get up in the morning junub from intercourse; not a dream; and would then fast for that day. He continued; Then we went and visited Umm Salamah; and Abdulrahman asked her about the same matter and she said the same as Aisha had said. Then we went off until we came to Marwan Ibn AlHakam Abdulrahman told him what they had both said and Marwan said; I swear to you; Abu Muhammad; you must use the mount which is at the door; and go to Abu Huraira; who is on his land at AlAqiq; and tell him this. So Abdulrahman rode off; and I went with him; until we came to Abu Huraira. Abdulrahman talked with him for a while; and then mentioned the matter to him; and Abu Huraira said; I dont know anything about it. I was just told that by someone. | The Chapter on Adhan And Iqama And Fasting in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Divorce in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-36165 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that the slave girls of Abdullah Ibn Umar used to wash his feet and bring him a mat of palm leaves while they were menstruating. Malik was asked whether a man who had women and slavegirlscould have intercourse with all of them before he did ghusl. He said; There is no harm in a man having intercourse with two of his slave girls before he does ghusl. It is disapproved of; however; to go to a freewoman on another day. There is no harm in making love first to one slave girl and then to another when one is junub. Malik was asked about a man who was junub and water was put down for him to do ghusl with. Then he forgot and put his finger into it to find out whether it was hot or cold. Malik said; If no filth has soiled his fingers; I do not consider that that makes the water impure. | The Chapter on Ablution Or Tayammum After Sleeping in HodHood Indexing, The Book of The Quran in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-36169 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Abd arRahman Ibn Harmala that a man asked Said Ibn AlMusayab about what a man who was junub and had done tayammum should do when he came across water. Said said; When he comes across water he must do ghusl for what comes after. Malik said about some one who had a wet dream while he was on a journey and there was only enough water for Ablution and he was not thirsty and so he did not need to use it for that; Let him wash his genitals; and whatever the semen has fallen on; with the water and then he does tayammum with good earth as Allah has ordered him. Malik was asked whether a man who was junub and wished to do tayammum but could only find salty earth could do tayammum with that earth; and whether it was disapproved of to pray on salty earth. He said; There is no harm in praying on salty earth or in using it to do tayammum; because Allah the Blessed and Exalted has said;...and do tayammum with good earth. One is purified by tayammum with everything that is earth; whether it is salty or otherwise. | The Chapter on Ablution Or Tayammum After Sleeping in HodHood Indexing, The Book of The Quran in Muwata Malik |
