SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1954Narrated Thumama: Anas said; Um Sulaim used to spread a leather sheet for the Prophet ﷺ and he used to take a midday nap on that leather sheet at her home. Anas added; When the Prophet ﷺ had slept; she would take some of his sweat and hair and collect it the sweat in a bottle and then mix it with Suk a kind of perfume while he was still sleeping. When the death of Anas Bin Malik approached; he advised that some of that Suk be mixed with his Hanut perfume for embalming the dead body ; and it was mixed with his Hanut. The Chapter on Almaghazi And Khaibar in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Whoever visited some people and had a midday nap in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2863Narrated Aisha: Some Muslim men emigrated to Ethiopia whereupon Abu Bakr also prepared himself for the emigration; but the Prophet ﷺ said to him ; Wait; for I hope that Allah will allow me also to emigrate. Abu Bakr said; Let my father and mother be sacrificed for you. Do you hope that emigration ? The Prophet said; Yes. So Abu Bakr waited to accompany the Prophet ﷺ and fed two camels he had on the leaves of AlSamur tree regularly for four months One day while we were sitting in our house at midday; someone said to Abu Bakr; Here is Allah Messenger ﷺ ; coming with his head and a part of his face covered with a cloth-covering at an hour he never used to come to us. Abu Bakr said; Let my father and mother be sacrificed for you; O Prophet ! An urgent matter must have brought you here at this hour. The Prophet ﷺ came and asked the permission to enter; and he was allowed. The Prophet ﷺ entered and said to Abu Bakr; Let those who are with you; go out. Abu Bakr replied; There is no stranger ; they are your family. Let my father be sacrificed for you; O Allah Apostle! The Prophet ﷺ said; I have been allowed to leave Mecca. Abu Bakr said; I shall accompany you; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ; Let my father be sacrificed for you! The Prophet ﷺ said; Yes; Abu Bakr said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ s! Let my father be sacrificed for you. Take one of these two shecamels of mine The Prophet ﷺ said. I will take it only after paying its price. So we prepared their baggage and put their journey food In a leather bag. And Asma bint Abu Bakr cut a piece of her girdle and tied the mouth of the leather bag with it. That is why she was called Dhatan- Nitaqaln. Then the Prophet ﷺ and Abu Bakr went to a cave in a mountain called Thour and remained there for three nights. Abdullah Bin Abu Bakr. who was a young intelligent man. used to stay with them at night and leave before dawn so that in the morning; he would he with the Quraish at Mecca as if he had spent the night among them. If he heard of any plot contrived by the Quraish against the Prophet and Abu Bakr; he would understand it and return to inform them of it when it became dark. Amir Bin Fuhaira; the freed slave of Abu Bakr used to graze a flock of milch sheep for them and he used to take those sheep to them when an hour had passed after the Isha prayer. SahihMuslim-017-001-22736Ubaid Bin Juraij said to Ahdullah Bin Umar Allah be pleased with them : Abdulrahman I find you doing four things which I do not see anyone among your companions doing. He said: Son of Juraij; what are these? Thereupon he said: You while circumambulating the Kaba do not touch but the two pillars situated on the side of yaman south ; and I find you wearing the sandals of tanned leather; and I find you with dyed beard and head; and I also found that; when you were at Mecca; the people pronounced Talbiya as they saw the new moon Dhu AlHijja ; but you did not do it till the 8th of Dhu AlHijja. Upon this Abdullab Bin Umar said: So far as the touching of the pillars is concerned; I did not see the Messenger of Allah ﷺ touching them but only those situated on the side of yaman. So far as the wearing of the shoes of tanned leather is concerned; I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wearing shoes without hair on them; and he wore them with wet feet after performing ablution; and I like to wear them. So far as the yellowness is concerned; I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ dyeing head; beard and cloth with this colour and I love to dye my head; beard or cloth with this colour. And so far as the pronouncing of Talbiya is concerned; I did not see the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pronouncing it until his camel proceeded on to Dhu AlHulaifa. The Chapter on Grooming The Beard in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 5 in Sahih Muslim

He replied: I saw you touching only the two Yamani corners; and I saw you wearing shoes having no hair; I saw you dyeing in yellow colour; and I saw you wearing ihram on the eighth of Dhu AlHijja; whereas the people had worn ihram when they sighted the moon. Abdullah Ibn Umar replied: As regards the corners; I have not seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ touching anything in the Kabah but the two Yamani corners. As for the tanned leather shoes; I have seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wearing tanned leather shoes; and he would wear them after ablution. Therefore I like to wear them. MuwataMalik-017-001-35739Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Abdullah Ibn Umar that a man once asked the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; what clothes someone in ihram could wear; and the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; Do not wear shirts; turbans; trousers; burnouses; or leather socks; except if you cannot find sandals. In that case you can wear leather socks; but cut them off below the ankles. Do not wear any clothes that have been touched by saffron or yellow dye. Yahya said that Malik was asked about the hadith attributed to the Prophet; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; Whoever cannot find a waist wrapper should wear trousers; and he said; I have never heard this; and I do not think that some one who is in ihram can wear trousers; because among the things which the Prophet; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; forbade some one in ihram to wear were trousers; and he did not make any exception for them although he did make an exception for leather socks. 20.4 Wearing Clothes when in IhramThe Chapter on Dress And Forbidden Cloths in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Hajj in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-36118Yahya related to me from Malik that Nafi and Abdullah Ibn Dinar told him that Abdullah Ibn Umar arrived at Kufa and went to Sad Ibn Abi Waqqas; who was the Amir of Kufa at that time. Abdullah Ibn Umar saw him wiping over his leather socks and disapproved of it. So Sad said to him; Ask your father when you get back. Abdullah returned but forgot to ask Umar about the matter until Sad arrived and said; Have you asked your father? and he said; No. Abdullah then asked Umar and Umar replied; If your feet are ritually pure when you put them in the leather socks then you can wipe over the socks. Abdullah said ;What about if we have just come from relieving ourselves? Umar said; Yes; even if you have just come from relieving yourself. The Chapter on Personal Hygiene And Tayammum in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Burials in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-36120Yahya related to me from Malik that Said Ibn Abdulrahman Ibn Ruqash said; I saw Anas Ibn Malik come and squat and urinate. Then water was brought and he did Ablution. He washed his face; then his arms to the elbows; and then he wiped his head and wiped over his leather socks. Then he came to the Masjid and prayed. Yahya said that Malik was asked whether a man who did Ablution for prayerand then put on his leather socks; and then urinated and took them off and put them back on again; should begin Ablution afresh. Malik replied; He should take off his socks and wash his feet. Only someone who puts on leather socks when his feet are already ritually purified by Ablution can wipe over them. Someone who puts on leather socks when his feet are not ritually purified by Ablution; should not wipe over them. Yahya said that Malik was asked about a man who did Ablution with his leather socks on and forgot to wipe over them until the water was dry and he had prayed; and he said; He should wipe over his socks and repeat the prayer but not repeat Ablution. Malik was asked about a man who washed his feet and put on his leather socks and then started doing Ablution; and he said; He should take off his socks and do Ablution and wash his feet. The Chapter on Personal Hygiene Ablution in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Burials in Muwata Malik
