Within it will be Mercy throughout, and without it, all alongside, will be (Wrath and) Punishment!

Say: "Allah (sent it down)": Then leave them to plunge in vain discourse and trifling.

SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1618		Narrated Aisha: The commencement of the Divine Inspiration to Allah Messenger ﷺ was in the form of good righteous true dreams in his sleep. He never had a dream but that it came true like bright day light. He used to go in seclusion the cave of Hira where he used to worship Allah Alone continuously for many days nights. He used to take with him the journey food for that stay and then come back to his wife Khadija to take his food like-wise again for another period to stay; till suddenly the Truth descended upon him while he was in the cave of Hira. The angel came to him in it and asked him to read. The Prophet ﷺ replied; I do not know how to read. The Prophet ﷺ added ; The angel caught me forcefully and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it anymore. He then released me and again asked me to read; and I replied; I do not know how to read; whereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it anymore. He then released me and asked me again to read; but again I replied; I do not know how to read or; what shall I read?. Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me and then released me and said; Read: In the Name of your Lord; Who has created all that exists. Has created man from a clot. Read and Your Lord is Most Generous...up to.......that which he knew not. 96.15 Then Allah Messenger ﷺ returned with the Inspiration; his neck muscles twitching with terror till he entered upon Khadija and said; Cover me! Cover me! They covered him till his fear was over and then he said; O Khadija; what is wrong with me? Then he told her everything that had happened and said; I fear that something may happen to me. Khadija said; Never! But have the glad tidings; for by Allah; Allah will never disgrace you as you keep good reactions with your Kith and kin; speak the truth; help the poor and the destitute; serve your guest generously and assist the deserving; calamityafflicted ones. Khadija then accompanied him to her cousin Waraqa Bin Nawfal Bin Asad Bin Abdul Uzza Bin Qusai. Waraqa was the son of her paternal uncle; i.e.; her father brother; who during the Pre-Islamic Period became a Christian and used to write the Arabic writing and used to write of the Gospels in Arabic as much as Allah wished him to write. He was an old man and had lost his eyesight. Khadija said to him; O my cousin! Listen to the story of your nephew. Waraqa asked; O my nephew! What have you seen? The Prophet ﷺ described whatever he had seen. Waraqa said; This is the same Namus i.e.; Gabriel; the Angel who keeps the secrets whom Allah had sent to Moses. I wish I were young and could live up to the time when your people would turn you out. Allah Messenger ﷺ asked; Will they turn me out? Waraqa replied in the affirmative and said: Never did a man come with something similar to what you have brought but was treated with hostility. If I should remain alive till the day when you will be turned out then I would support you strongly. But after a few days Waraqa died and the Divine Inspiration was also paused for a while and the Prophet ﷺ became so sad as we have heard that he intended several times to throw himself from the tops of high mountains and every time he went up the top of a mountain in order to throw himself down; Gabriel would appear before him and say; O Muhammad! You are indeed Allah Messenger ﷺ in truth whereupon his heart would become quiet and he would calm down and would return home. And whenever the period of the coming of the inspiration used to become long; he would do as before; but when he used to reach the top of a mountain; Gabriel would appear before him and say to him what he had said before. Ibn Abbas said regarding the meaning of: He it is that Cleaves the daybreak from the darkness 6.96 that AlAsbah. means the light of the sun during the day and the light of the moon at night. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3661		Narrated Abu Huraira: A man came to the Prophet. The Prophet ﷺ sent a messenger to his wives to bring something for that man to eat but they said that they had nothing except water. Then Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Who will take this person or entertain him as a guest? An Ansar man said; I. So he took him to his wife and said to her; Entertain generously the guest of Allah Messenger ﷺ She said; We have got nothing except the meals of my children. He said; Prepare your meal; light your lamp and let your children sleep if they ask for supper. So she prepared her meal; lighted her lamp and made her children sleep; and then stood up pretending to mend her lamp; but she put it off. Then both of them pretended to be eating; but they really went to bed hungry. In the morning the Ansari went to Allah Messenger ﷺ who said; Tonight Allah laughed or wondered at your action. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6391		Narrated AlBara: Allah Messenger ﷺ sent Abdullah Bin Atik and Abdullah Bin Utba with a group of men to Abu Rafi to kill him. They proceeded till they approached his castle; whereupon Abdullah Bin Atik said to them; Wait here ; and in the meantime I will go and see. Abdullah said later on; I played a trick in order to enter the castle. By chance; they lost a donkey of theirs and came out carrying a flaming light to search for it. I was afraid that they would recognize me; so I covered my head and legs and pretended to answer the call to nature. The gatekeeper called; Whoever wants to come in; should come in before I close the gate. So I went in and hid myself in a stall of a donkey near the gate of the castle. They took their supper with Abu Rafi and had a chat till late at night. Then they went back to their homes. When the voices vanished and I no longer detected any movement; I came out. I had seen where the gate-keeper had kept the key of the castle in a hole in the wall. I took it and unlocked the gate of the castle; saying to myself; If these people should notice me; I will run away easily. Then I locked all the doors of their houses from outside while they were inside; and ascended to Abu Rafi by a staircase. I saw the house in complete darkness with its light off; and I could not know where the man was. So I called; O Abu Rafi! He replied; Who is it? I proceeded towards the voice and hit him. He cried loudly but my blow was futile. Then I came to him; pretending to help him; saying with a different tone of my voice; What is wrong with you; O Abu Rafi? He said; Are you not surprised? Woe on your mother! A man has come to me and hit me with a sword! So again I aimed at him and hit him; but the blow proved futile again; and on that Abu Rafi cried loudly and his wife got up. I came again and changed my voice as if I were a helper; and found Abu Rafi lying straight on his back; so I drove the sword into his belly and bent on it till I heard the sound of a bone break. Then I came out; filled with astonishment and went to the staircase to descend; but I fell down from it and got my leg dislocated. I bandaged it and went to my companions limping. I said to them ; Go and tell Allah Messenger ﷺ of this good news; but I will not leave this place till I hear the news of his i.e. Abu Rafis death. When dawn broke; an announcer of death got over the wall and announced; I convey to you the news of Abu Rafi death. I got up and proceeded without feeling any pain till I caught up with my companions before they reached the Prophet ﷺ to whom I conveyed the good news. He the narrator said: Then the people would be summoned along with their idols whom they worshipped; one after another. Then our Lord would come to us and say: Whom are you waiting for? They would say: We are waiting for our Lord. He would say: I am your Lord. They would say: We are not sure till we gaze at Thee; and He would manifest Himself to them smilingly; and would go along with them and they would follow Him; and every person; whether a hypocrite or a believer; would be endowed with a light; and there would be spikes and hooks on the bridge of the Hell; which would catch hold of those whom Allah willed. Then the light of the hypocrites would be extinguished; and the believers would secure salvation. and the first group to achieve it would comprise seventy thousand men who would have the brightness of full moon on their faces; and they would not be called to account. Then the people immediately following them would have their faces as the brightest stars in the heaven. This is how the groups would follow one after another. Then the stage of intercession would come; and they who are permitted to intercede would intercede; till he who had declared: There is no god but Allah and had in his heart virtue of the weight of a barley grain would come out of the Fire. They would be then brought in the courtyard of Paradise and the inhabitants of Paradise would begin to sprinkle water over them till they would sprout like the sprouting of a thing in flood water; and their burns would disappear. They would ask their Lord till they would be granted the bounties of the world and with it ten more besides it. I also stood up and stretched my body fearing that he might be under the impression that I was there to find out what he did at night. So I also performed ablution and stood up to pray; but I stood on his left. He took hold of my hand and made me go around to his right side. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ completed thirteen rakahs of his night prayer. He then lay down and slept and snored and it was his habit to snore while asleep. Then Bilal came and he informed him about the prayer. He the Holy Prophet then stood up for prayer and did not perform ablution; and his supplication included these words: O Allah; place light in my heart; light in my sight; light in my hearing; light on my right hand; light on my left hand; light above me; light below me; light in front of me; light behind me; and enhance light for me. Kuraib the narrator said: There are seven words more which are in my heart but I cannot recall them and I met some of the descendants of AlAbbas and they narrated these words to me and mentioned in them: Light in my sinew; in my flesh; in my blood; in my hair; in my skin; and made a mention of two more things. I saw him get up to relieve himself and he went to the waterskin and undid its string; then he performed Ablution and that was moderate in the amount of water used. Then he went to his bed and slept. Then he got up again and went to the waterskin and undid its string; and performed Ablution again; like the first time. Then he stood and prayed; and when he prostrated he said: Allahummajal fi qalbi nuran wajal fi sami nuran wajal fi basri nuran; wajal min tahti nuran wajal min fawqi nuran; wa an yamii nuran wa an yasari nuran wajal amami nuran; wajal khalfi nuran wa azimli nura O Allah; place light in my heart; and place light in my hearing; and place light in my seeing; and place light beneath me; and place light above me; and light on my right; and light on my left; and place light behind me; and make the light greater for me. Then he slept until he started to snore; then Bilal came and woke him up for the prayer. He Bilal said: Messenger of Allah; the dawn became fairly bright. He said: If the dawn became brighter than it is now; I would pray them the two rakahs of the sunnah prayer ; offer them well and in a more beautiful manner. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-27371		Ibn Shihab said: Umar Bin Abd AlAziz was sitting on the pulpit and he somewhat postponed the afternoon prayer. Urwah Bin AlZubair said to him: Gabriel informed Muhammed ﷺ of the time of prayer. So Umar said to him: Be sure of what you are saying. Urwah then replied: I heard Bashir Bin Abu Masud say that he heard Abu Masud AlAnsari say that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Gabriel came down and informed me of the time of prayer; and I prayed along with him; then prayed along with him; then I prayed along with him; then I prayed along with him; then I prayed along with him; reckoning with his fingers five times of the prayer. I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ offering the Duhr prayer when the sun had passed the meridian. Sometimes he would delay it when it was sever heat ; and I witnessed that he prayer the Asr prayer when the sun was high and bright before the yellowness had overcome it; then a man could go off after the prayer and reach Dhu AlHulaifa before the sunset; and he would pray Maghrib when the sun had set ; and he would pray the Isha prayer when darkness prevailed over the horizon; sometime he would delay it until the people assembled; and once he prayer the fair prayer in the darkness of dawn and at another time he prayed it when it became fairly light; but later on he continued to pray in the darkness of dawn until his death; he never prayed it again in the light of the dawn.Abu Dawud said: This tradition has been transmitted from AlZuhri by Mamar; Malik; Ibn Uyainah; Shuaib Bin Abi Hamzah; and AlLaith Bin Saad and others; but they did not mention the time in which he the Prophet had prayer; nor did they explain it. And similarly it has been narrated by Hisham Bin Urwah and Habib Bin Abu Mazruq from Urwah like the report of Mamar and his companions. But Habib did not make a mention of Bashir. And Wahb Bin Kaisan reported on the authority of Jabir from the Prophet ﷺ the time of the Maghrib prayer. He said: Next day he Gabriel came to him at the time of the Maghrib prayer when the sun had already set. He came both days at the same time.Abu Dawud said: Similarly; this tradition has been transmitted by Abu Huraira from the Prophet ﷺ. He said: Then he Gabriel led me in the sunset prayer next day at the same time.Similarly; this tradition has been narrated through a different chain by Abdullah Bin Amr Bin AlAs; through a chain from Hassan Bin Atiyah; from Amr Bin Shuaib; from his father; on the authority from the Prophet ﷺ.
