- Anas Bin Malik reported on the authority of Malik Bin Sa sa; perhaps a person of his tribe; that the Prophet of Allah ﷺ said: I was near the House i. e. Kabah in a state between sleep and wakefulness when I heard someone say: He is the third among the two persons. Then he came to me and took me with him. Then a golden basin containing the water of Zamzam was brought to me and my heart was opened up to such and such part. Qatada said: I asked him who was with me i e. the narrator and what he meant by such and such part. He replied: It means that it was opened up to the lower part of his abdomen Then the hadith continues : My heart was extracted and it was washed with the water of Zamzam and then it was restored in its original position; after which it was filled with faith and wisdom. I was then brought a white beast which is called AlBuraq; bigger than a donkey and smaller than a mule. Its stride was as long as the eye could reach. I was mounted on it; and then we went forth till we reached the lowest heaven. Gabriel asked for the gate to be opened; and it was said: Who is he? He replied: Gabriel. It was again said: Who is with thee? He replied: Muhammad ﷺ. It was said: Has he been sent for? He Gabriel said: Yes. He the Prophet said: Then the gate was opened for us and it was said : Welcome unto him! His is a blessed arrival. Then we came to Adam ﷺ. And he the narrator narrated the whole account of the hadith. The Holy Prophet observed that he met Jesus in the second heaven; Yahya peace be on both of them in the third heaven; Yousif in the third; Idris in the fourth; Harun in the fifth peace and blessings of Allah be upon them. Then we travelled on till we reached the sixth heaven and came to Moses ﷺ and I greeted him and he said: Welcome unto righteous brother and righteous prophet. And when I passed by him he wept; and a voice was heard saying: What makes thee weep? He said: My Lord; he is a young man whom Thou hast sent after me as a prophet and his followers will enter Paradise in greater numbers than my followers. Then we travelled on till we reached the seventh heaven and I came to Ibrahim. He the narrator narrat- ed in this hadith that the Prophet of Allah ﷺ told that he saw four rivers which flowed from the root of the lote-tree of the farthest limits : two manifest rivers and two hidden rivers. I said: Gabriel! what are these rivers? He replied: The two hidden rivers are the rivers of Paradise; and as regards the two manifest ones; they are the Nile and the Euphrates. Then the Bait AlMamur was raised up to me. I said: O Gabriel! what is this? He replied: It is the Bait AlMamur. Seventy thousand angels enter into it daily and; after they come out; they never return again. Two vessels were then brought to me. The first one contained wine and the second one contained milk; and both of them were placed before me. I chose milk. It was said: You did right. Allah will guide rightly through you your Ummah on the natural course. Then fifty prayers daily were made obligatory for me. And then he narrated the rest of the hadith to the end. - This tradition has been narrated on the authority of Salama who said: We fought by the side of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at Hunain. When we encountered the enemy; I advanced and ascended a hillock. A man from the enemy side turned towards me and I shot him with an arrow. He ducked and hid himself from me. I could not understand what he did; but all of a sudden I saw that a group of people appeared from the other hillock. They and the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ met in combat; but the Companions of the Prophet turned back and I too turned back defeated. I had two mantles; one of which I was wrapping round the waist covering the lower part of my body and the other I was putting around my shoulders. My waist-wrapper got loose and I held the two mantles together. In this downcast condition I passed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who was riding on his white mule. He said: The son of Akwa finds himself to be utterly perplexed. Wher. the Companions gathered round him from all sides. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ got down from his mule. picked up a handful of dust from the ground; threw it into their enemy faces and said: May these faces be deformed 1 There was no one among the enemy whose eyes were not filled with the dust from this handful. So they turned back fleeing. and Allah the Exalted and Glorious defeated them; and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ distributed their booty among the Muslims. SahihMuslim-017-001-18083
- Narrated Anas Bin Malik: When it was the day of the battle of Hunain; the tributes of Hawazin and Ghatafan and others; along with their animals and offspring and wives came to fight against the Prophet ﷺ The Prophet ﷺ had with him; ten thousand men and some of the Tulaqa. The companions fled; leaving the Prophet ﷺ alone. The Prophet then made two calls which were clearly distinguished from each other. He turned right and said; O the group of Ansar! They said; Labbaik; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Rejoice; for we are with you! Then he turned left and said; O the group of Ansar! They said; Labbaik! O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Rejoice; for we are with you! The Prophet ﷺ at that time; was riding on a white mule; then he dismounted and said; I am Allah Slave and His Apostle. The infidels then were defeated; and on that day the Prophet ﷺ gained a large amount of booty which he distributed amongst the Muhajirin and the Tulaqa and did not give anything to the Ansar. The Ansar said; When there is a difficulty; we are called; but the booty is given to other than us. The news reached the Prophet ﷺ and he gathered them in a leather tent and said; What is this news reaching me from you; O the group of Ansar? They kept silent; He added; O the group of Ansar! Wont you be happy that the people take the worldly things and you take Allah Messenger ﷺ to your homes reserving him for yourself? They said; Yes. Then the Prophet said; If the people took their way through a valley; and the Ansar took their way through a mountain pass; surely; I would take the Ansar mountain pass. Hisham said; O Abu Hamza i.e. Anas ! Did you witness that? He replied; And how could I be absent from him? SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6670
- Anas Bin Malik narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: I was brought an animal that was larger than a donkey and smaller than a mule; whose stride could reach as far as it could see. I mounted it; and Jibril was with me; and I set off. Then he said: Dismount and pray; so I did that. He said: Do you know where you have prayed? You have prayed in Taibah; which will be the place of the emigration. Then he said: Dismount and pray; so I prayed. He said: Do you know where you have prayed? You have prayed in Mount Sinai; where Allah; the Mighty and Sublime; spoke to Mousa; ﷺ. So I dismounted and prayed; and he said: Do you know where you have prayed? You have prayed in Bethlehem; where Eisa; ﷺ ; was born. Then I entered Bait AlMaqdis Jerusalem where the Prophets; peace be upon them; were assembled for me; and Jibril brought me forward to lead them in prayer. Then I was taken up to the first heaven; where I saw Adam; ﷺ. Then I was taken up to the second heaven where I saw the maternal cousins Eisa and Yahya; peace be upon them. Then I was taken up to the third heaven where I saw Yousif; ﷺ. Then I was taken up to the fourth heaven where I saw Harun; ﷺ. Then I was taken up to the fifth heaven where I saw Idris; ﷺ. Then I was taken up to the sixth heaven where I saw Mousa; ﷺ. Then I was taken up to the seventh heaven where I saw Ibrahim; ﷺ. Then I was taken up above seven heavens and we came to Sidrah AlMuntaha and I was covered with fog. I fell down prostrate and it was said to me: Indeed The day I created the heavens and the Earth; I enjoined upon you and your Ummah fifty prayers; so establish them; you and your Ummah. I came back to Ibrahim and he did not ask me about anything; then I came to Mousa and he said: How much did your Lord enjoin upon you and your Ummah? I said: Fifty prayers. He said: You will not be able to establish them; neither you nor your Ummah. Go back to your Lord and ask Him to reduce it. So I went back to my Lord and He reduced it by ten. Then I came to Mousa and he told me to go back; so I went back and He reduced it by ten. Then I came to Mousa and he told me to go back; so I went back and He reduced it by ten. Then it was reduced it by ten. Then it was reduced to five prayers. He Mousa said: Go back to you Lord and ask Him to reduce it; for two prayers were enjoined upon the Children of Israel but they did not establish them. So I went back to my Lord and asked Him to reduce it; but He said: The day I created the heavens and the Earth; I enjoined fifty prayers upon you and your Ummah. Five is for fifty; so establish them; you and your Ummah. I knew that this was what Allah; the Mighty and Sublime; had determined so I went back to Mousa; ﷺ ; and he said: Go back. But I knew that it was what Allah had determined; so I did not go back. SunanAlNasai-017-001-11605
- It was narrated from Anas Bin Malik; from Malik Bin Sasaah; that the Prophet ﷺ said: While I was at the Kabah; in a state between sleep and wakefulness; three men came; and one of them who was in the middle came toward me. I was brought a basin of gold; filled with wisdom and faith; and he slit open from the throat to the lower abdomen; and washed the heart with Zamzam water; then - it was filled with wisdom and faith. Then I was brought a riding-beast; smaller than a mule and bigger than a donkey. I set off with Jibril; ﷺ ; and we came to the lowest heaven. It was said: Who is with you? He said: Muhammad. It was said: Has revelation been sent to him? Welcome to him; what an excellent visit his is. I came to Adam; ﷺ ; and greeted him; and he said: Welcome to you! What an excellent son and Prophet. Then we came to the second heaven and it was said: Who is this? He said: Jibrail. [1] It was said: Who is with you? he said: Muhammad. And the same exchange took place. I came to Yahya and Eisa; peace be upon them both; and greeted them; and they said: Welcome to you! What an excellent brother and Prophet. Then we came to the third heaven and it was said: Who is this? He said: Jibrail. It was said: Who is with you? He said: Muhammad. And the same exchange took place. I came to Yousif; ﷺ ; and greeted him; and he said: Welcome to you! What an excellent brother and Prophet. Then we came to the fourth heaven and the same exchange took place. I came to Idris; ﷺ ; and greeted him; and he said: Welcome to you! What an excellent brother and Prophet. Then we came to the fifth heaven and the same exchange took place. I came to Harun; ﷺ ; and greeted him; and he said: Welcome to you! What an excellent brother and Prophet. Then we came to the sixth heaven and the same exchange took place. I came to Mousa; ﷺ ; and greeted him; and he said: Welcome to you! What an excellent brother and Prophet. What I passed him; he wept; and it was said: Why are you weeping? He said: O Lord; this young man whom You have sent after me; more of his Ummah will enter Paradise than from my nation; and they will be more virtuous than them. Then we came to the seventh heaven and a similar exchange took place. I came to Ibrahim; ﷺ ; and greeted him; and he said: Welcome to you! What an excellent son and Prophet. Then I was taken up to the Oft-Frequented House AlBait AlMamur and I asked Jibrail about it; and he said: This is AlBait AlMamur in which seventy thousand angels pray everyday; and when they leave it they never come back. Then I was taken up to Sidrah AlMuntaha the Lote-Tree of the Utmost Boundary. Its fruits were like Qilal [2] of Hajar and its leaves were like the ears of elephants. At its base were four rivers: Two hidden rivers and two manifest rivers. I asked Jibril About them and he said: The two hidden ones are in paradise; and the two manifest ones are the Euphrates and the Nile. Then fifty prayers were enjoined upon me. I came to Mousa and he said: What happened? I said: Fifty prayers have been enjoined upon me. He said: I know more about the people than you. I tried hard with the Children of Israel. Your Ummah will never be able to bear that. Go back to your Lord and ask Him to reduce it for you. So I went back to my Lord and asked Him to reduce it; and He made it forty. Then I went back to Mousa; ﷺ ; and he said: What happened? I said: He made it forty. He said to me something similar to what he said the first time; so I went back to my Lord and He made it thirty. I came to Mousa; ﷺ ; and told him; and he said to me something similar to what he said the first time; so I went back to my Lord and he made it twenty; then ten; then five. I came to Mousa; ﷺ ; and he said to me something like he had said the first time; but I said: I feel too shy before my Lord to go back to Him. Then it was called out: I have decreed the reward for My obligation; and I have reduced the burden for My slaves and I will give a ten-fold reward for each good deed.[1] It is like this here; while it is Jibrail the first time it appears in this narration; and Jibrail is often used in the Hadith literature.[2] Plural of Qullah SunanAlNasai-017-001-11603

He the Holy Prophet said: I went back to my Lord and said: My Lord; make things lighter for my Ummah. The Lord reduced five prayers for me. I went down to Moses and said. The Lord reduced five prayers for me; He said: Verily thy Ummah shall not be able to bear this burden; return to thy Lord and ask Him to make things lighter. I then kept going back and forth between my Lord Blessed and Exalted and Moses; till He said: There are five prayers every day and night. O Muhammad; each being credited as ten; so that makes fifty prayers. He who intends to do a good deed and does not do it will have a good deed recorded for him; and if he does it; it will be recorded for him as ten; whereas he who intends to do an evil deed and does not do; it will not be recorded for him; and if he does it; only one evil deed will be recorded. I then came down and when I came to Moses and informed him; he said: Go back to thy Lord and ask Him to make things lighter. Upon this the Messenger of Allah remarked: I returned to my Lord until I felt ashamed before Him. SahihMuslim-017-001-18700
- Narrated Abbas Bin Malik: Malik Bin Sasaa said that Allah Messenger ﷺ described to them his Night Journey saying; While I was lying in AlHatim or AlHijr; suddenly someone came to me and cut my body open from here to here. I asked AlJarud who was by my side; What does he mean? He said; It means from his throat to his pubic area; or said; From the top of the chest. The Prophet ﷺ further said; He then took out my heart. Then a gold tray of Belief was brought to me and my heart was washed and was filled with Belief and then returned to its original place. Then a white animal which was smaller than a mule and bigger than a donkey was brought to me. On this AlJarud asked; Was it the Buraq; O Abu Hamza? I i.e. Anas replied in the affirmative. The Prophet ﷺ said; The animal step was so wide that it reached the farthest point within the reach of the animal sight. I was carried on it; and Gabriel set out with me till we reached the nearest heaven. When he asked for the gate to be opened; it was asked; Who is it? Gabriel answered; Gabriel. It was asked; Who is accompanying you? Gabriel replied; Muhammad. It was asked; Has Muhammad been called? Gabriel replied in the affirmative. Then it was said; He is welcomed. What an excellent visit his is! The gate was opened; and when I went over the first heaven; I saw Adam there. Gabriel said to me. This is your father; Adam; pay him your greetings. So I greeted him and he returned the greeting to me and said; You are welcomed; O pious son and pious Prophet. Then Gabriel ascended with me till we reached the second heaven. Gabriel asked for the gate to be opened. It was asked; Who is it? Gabriel answered; Gabriel. It was asked; Who is accompanying you? Gabriel replied; Muhammad. It was asked; Has he been called? Gabriel answered in the affirmative. Then it was said; He is welcomed. What an excellent visit his is! The gate was opened. When I went over the second heaven; there I saw Yahya i.e. John and Isa i.e. Jesus who were cousins of each other. Gabriel said to me ; These are John and Jesus; pay them your greetings. So I greeted them and both of them returned my greetings to me and said; You are welcomed; O pious brother and pious Prophet. Then Gabriel ascended with me to the third heaven and asked for its gate to be opened. It was asked; Who is it? Gabriel replied; Gabriel. It was asked; Who is accompanying you? Gabriel replied; Muhammad. It was asked; Has he been called? Gabriel replied in the affirmative. Then it was said; He is welcomed; what an excellent visit his is! The gate was opened; and when I went over the third heaven there I saw Joseph. Gabriel said to me ; This is Joseph; pay him your greetings. So I greeted him and he returned the greeting to me and said; You are welcomed; O pious brother and pious Prophet. Then Gabriel ascended with me to the fourth heaven and asked for its gate to be opened. It was asked; Who is it? Gabriel replied; Gabriel It was asked; Who is accompanying you? Gabriel replied; Muhammad. It was asked; Has he been called? Gabriel replied in the affirmative. Then it was said; He is welcomed; what an excel lent visit his is! The gate was opened; and when I went over the fourth heaven; there I saw Idris. Gabriel said to me ; This is Idris; pay him your greetings. So I greeted him and he returned the greeting to me and said; You are welcomed; O pious brother and pious Prophet. Then Gabriel ascended with me to the fifth heaven and asked for its gate to be opened. It was asked; Who is it? Gabriel replied; Gabriel. It was asked. Who is accompanying you? Gabriel replied; Muhammad. It was asked; Has he been called? Gabriel replied in the affirmative. Then it was said He is welcomed; what an excellent visit his is! So when I went over the fifth heaven; there I saw Harun i.e. Aaron ; Gabriel said; to me. This is Aaron; pay him your greetings. I greeted him and he returned the greeting to me and said; You are welcomed; O pious brother and pious Prophet. Then Gabriel ascended with me to the sixth heaven and asked for its gate to be opened. It was asked. Who is it? Gabriel replied; Gabriel. It was asked; Who is accompanying you? Gabriel replied; Muhammad. It was asked; Has he been called? Gabriel replied in the affirmative. It was said; He is welcomed. What an excellent visit his is! When I went over the sixth heaven ; there I saw Moses. Gabriel said to me ; This is Moses; pay him your greeting. So I greeted him and he returned the greetings to me and said; You are welcomed; O pious brother and pious Prophet. When I left him i.e. Moses he wept. Someone asked him; What makes you weep? Moses said; I weep because after me there has been sent as Prophet a young man whose followers will enter Paradise in greater numbers than my followers. Then Gabriel ascended with me to the seventh heaven and asked for its gate to be opened. It was asked; Who is it? Gabriel replied; Gabriel. It was asked; Who is accompanying you? Gabriel replied; Muhammad. It was asked; Has he been called? Gabriel replied in the affirmative. Then it was said; He is welcomed. What an excellent visit his is! So when I went over the seventh heaven ; there I saw Abraham. Gabriel said to me ; This is your father; pay your greetings to him. So I greeted him and he returned the greetings to me and said; You are welcomed; O pious son and pious Prophet. Then I was made to ascend to Sidrat AlMuntaha i.e. the Lote Tree of the utmost boundary Behold! Its fruits were like the jars of Hajr i.e. a place near Medina and its leaves were as big as the ears of elephants. Gabriel said; This is the Lote Tree of the utmost boundary. Behold ! There ran four rivers; two were hidden and two were visible; I asked; What are these two kinds of rivers; O Gabriel? He replied; As for the hidden rivers; they are two rivers in Paradise and the visible rivers are the Nile and the Euphrates. Then AlBait AlMamur i.e. the Sacred House was shown to me and a container full of wine and another full of milk and a third full of honey were brought to me. I took the milk. Gabriel remarked; This is the Islamic religion which you and your followers are following. Then the prayers were enjoined on me: They were fifty prayers a day. When I returned; I passed by Moses who asked me ; What have you been ordered to do? I replied; I have been ordered to offer fifty prayers a day. Moses said; Your followers cannot bear fifty prayers a day; and by Allah; I have tested people before you; and I have tried my level best with Bani Israel in vain. Go back to your Lord and ask for reduction to lessen your followers burden. So I went back; and Allah reduced ten prayers for me. Then again I came to Moses; but he repeated the same as he had said before. Then again I went back to Allah and He reduced ten more prayers. When I came back to Moses he said the same; I went back to Allah and He ordered me to observe ten prayers a day. When I came back to Moses; he repeated the same advice; so I went back to Allah and was ordered to observe five prayers a day. When I came back to Moses; he said; What have you been ordered? I replied; I have been ordered to observe five prayers a day. He said; Your followers cannot bear five prayers a day; and no doubt; I have got an experience of the people before you; and I have tried my level best with Bani Israel; so go back to your Lord and ask for reduction to lessen your follower burden. I said; I have requested so much of my Lord that I feel ashamed; but I am satisfied now and surrender to Allah Order. When I left; I heard a voice saying; I have passed My Order and have lessened the burden of My Worshipers. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3750

- Narrated Abu Ishaq: A man asked AlBara; O Abu Umara! Did you all flee on the day of the battle of Hunain? He replied; No; by Allah! Allah Messenger ﷺ did not flee; but his young unarmed companions passed by the archers of the tribe of Hawazin and Bani Nasr whose arrows hardly missed a target; and they threw arrows at them hardly missing a shot. So the Muslims retreated towards the Prophet ﷺ while he was riding his white mule which was being led by his cousin Abu Sufyan Bin AlHarith Bin Abdul Muttalib. The Prophet ﷺ dismounted and invoked Allah for victory; then he said; I am the Prophet; without a lie; I am the son of Abdul Muttalib; and then he arranged his companions in rows. The gate was opened for us and there I found Ibrahim Abraham ﷺ reclining against the Bait AlMamur and there enter into it seventy thousand angels every day; never to visit this place again. Then I was taken to Sidrat AlMuntaha whose leaves were like elephant ears and its fruit like big earthenware vessels. And when it was covered by the Command of Allah; it underwent such a change that none amongst the creation has the power to praise its beauty. Then Allah revealed to me a revelation and He made obligatory for me fifty prayers every day and night. Then I went down to Moses ﷺ and he said: What has your Lord enjoined upon your Ummah? - It has been narrated through a different chain of transmitters by Abu Ishiq that a person said to Bara Bin Azib : Abu Umara; did you flee on the Day of Hunain? He replied: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not retreat. What actually happened was that some hasty young men who were either inadequately armed or were unarmed met a group of men from Banu Hawazin and Banu Nadir who happened to be excellent archers. The latter shot at them a volley of arrows that did not miss. The people turned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Abu Sufyan Bin Harith was leading his mule. So he got down; prayed and invoked God help. He said: I am the Prophet. This is no untruth. I am the son of Abd AlMuttalib. O God; descend Thy help. Bara continued: When the battle grew fierce. we; by God. would seek protection by his side; and the bravest among us was he who confronted the onslaught and it was the Prophet ﷺ. - Narrated Abu Ishaq: That he heard AlBara narrating when a man from Qais tribe asked him Did you flee leaving Allah Messenger ﷺ on the day of the battle of Hunain? AlBara replied; But Allah Messenger ﷺ did not flee. The people of Hawazin were good archers; and when we attacked them; they fled. But rushing towards the booty; we were confronted by the arrows of the enemy. - A version of the tradition has been transmitted through another chain of narrators. In this version the words uttered by the Prophet ﷺ after he had thrown the pebbles in the face of the enemy are reported as: By the Lord of the Kaba; they have been defeated. And there is at the end the addition of the words: Until Allah defeated them and I imagine as if I saw the Prophet of Allah ﷺ chasing them on his mule. SahihMuslim-017-001-18077
- Abu Humaid AlSaidi reported: We went out with Allah Messenger ﷺ on the expedition to Tabuk and we came to a wadi where there was a garden belonging to a woman. Allah Apostle ﷺ said. Make an assessment of the price of its fruit. And Allah Messenger ﷺ also made an assessment and it was ten wasqs. He asked that lady to calculate the amount until they would; God willing; come back to her. So we proceeded on until we came to Tabuk and Allah Messenger ﷺ said: The violent storm will overtake you during the night; so none amongst you should stand up and he who has a camel with him should hobble it firmly. A violent storm blew and a person who had stood up was carried away by the storm and thrown between the mountains of Tay. Then the messenger of the son of AlAlma; the ruler of Aila; came to Allah Messenger ﷺ with a letter and a gift of a white mule. Allah Messenger ﷺ wrote him the reply and presented him a cloak. We came back until we halted in the Wadi AlQura. Allah Messenger ﷺ asked that lady about her garden and the price of the fruits in that. She said: Ten wasqs. Thereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: I am going to depart; and he who amongst you wishes may depart with me but he who wants to stay may stay. We resumed the journey until we came to the outskirts of Medina. It was at this time that Allah Messenger ﷺ said: This is Taba; this is Uhud; that is a mountain which loves us and we love it; and then said: The best amongst the houses of the Ansar is the house of Bani Najjar. Then the house of Bani Abd AlAshhal; then the house of Bani Abd AlHarith Bin Khazraj; then the house of Bani Saida; and there is goodness in all the houses of the Ansar. Said Bin Ubada came to us and Abu Usaid said to him: Did you not see that Allah Messenger ﷺ has declared the houses of the Ansar good and he has kept us at the end. Said met Allah Messenger ﷺ and said: Allah Messenger; you have declared the house of the Ansar as good and have kept us at the end; whereupon he said: Is it not enough for you that you have been counted amongst the good. Abbas said: And by God; when they heard my voice; they came back to us as cows come back to their calves; and said: We are present; we are present! Abbas said: They began to fight the infidels. Then there was a call to The Ansar. Those who called out to them shouted: O ye party of the Ansar! O party of the Ansar! Banu AlHarith Bin AlKhazraj were the last to be called. Those who called out to them shouted: O Banu AlHarith Bin AlKhazraj! O BanU Harith Bin AlKhazraj! And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who was riding on his mule looked at their fight with his neck stretched forward and he said: This is the time when the fight is raging hot. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took some pebbles and threw them in the face of the infidels. Then he said: By the Lord of Muhammad; the infidels are defeated. Abbas said: I went round and saw that the battle was in the same condition in which I had seen it. By Allah; it remained in the same condition until he threw the pebbles. SahihMuslim-017-001-18083 | This tradition has been narrated on the authority of Salama who said: We fought by the side of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at Hunain. MuwataMalik-017-001-35180 | Yahya related to me from Malik that the best of what he had heard about horses; mules; and donkeys was that they were not eaten because Allah; the Blessed; the Exalted;said; And horses; and mules and asses; for you to ride; and as an adornment. Surat 16 ayat 8. He said; may He be Blessed and Exalted; In cattle; some of them you ride; and some of them you eat. Surat 6 ayat 79. He said; the Blessed; the Exalted; Mention Allah name over what He has provided you of cattle; and eat of them and feed the beggar Alqani and the suppliant Almutarr. Surat 22 ayat 34. Malik said Allah mentioned horses; mules; and donkeys for riding and adornment; and He mentioned cattle for riding and eating. Malik said; Alqani also means the poor. | The Chapter on Recitation Of Ayat in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Marriage in Muwata Malik |
