But proclaim (to them) this (truth): that every soul delivers itself to ruin by its own acts: it will find for itself no protector or intercessor except Allah: if it offered every ransom, (or reparation), none will be accepted: such is (the end of) those who deliver themselves to ruin by their own acts: they will have for drink (only) boiling water, and for punishment, one most grievous: for they persisted in rejecting Allah.

SahihMuslim-017-001-17239AlBara Bin Azib reported that his maternaluncle Abu Burda Bin Niyar sacrificed his animal earlier than the Prophet ﷺ had sacrificed. Thereupon he said: Apostle of Allah; it is the day of meat and it is not desirable to have longing for it and not to make use of it immediately ; so I hastened in offering my animal as a sacrifice; so that I might feed my family and neighbours and my kith and kin. Thereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: Offer again your sacrifice. He said: Messenger of Allah; I have a small milch goat of less than one year; and that is better than two dry goats from which only meat can be acquired. Thereupon he said: That is better than the two animals of sacrifice on your behalf; and the sacrifice of a goat; of less than six months shall not be accepted as a sacrifice on behalf of anyone after your sacrifice. The Chapter on Animal Sacrifice And Meat in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 1 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-17248Anas Bin Malik reported Allah Messenger ﷺ having said on the Day Of AlNahr Sacrifice : He who slaughtered the animal as a sacrifice before the Id prayer. should repeat it i. e. offer another animal. Thereupon a person stood up and said: Messenger of Allah; that is the day when meat is much desired; and he also made a mention of the need of his neighbour; and perhaps Allah Messenger ﷺ attested it. He the person who had sacrificed the animal before the Id prayer said: I have a goat of less than one year of age with me and I like it more than two fleshy goats; should I offer it as a sacrifice? He permitted him to do so. He the narrator said: I do not know whether this permission was granted to anyone else besides him or not. Allah Messenger ﷺ then turned towards two rams. and he slaughtered them; and the people came to the goats and got them distributed amongst themselves for offering them as sacrifice. The Chapter on Animal Sacrifice And Meat in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 1 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-18043It is narrated on the authority of Urwa Bin AlZubair who narrated from Aisha that she informed him that Fatima; daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; sent someone to Abu Bakr to demand from him her share of the legacy left by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from what Allah had bestowed upon him at Medina and Fadak and what was left from one-filth of the income annually received from Khaibar. Abu Bakr said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: We prophets do not have any heirs; what we leave behind is to be given in charity. The household of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ will live on the income from these properties; but; by Allah; I will not change the charity of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from the condition in which it was in his own time. I will do the same with it as the Messenger of Allah may peace be upun him himself used to do. So Abu Bakr refused to hand over anything from it to Fatima who got angry with Abu Bakr for this reason. She forsook him and did not talk to him until the end of her life. She lived for six months after the death of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When she died; her husband. Ali Bin Abu Talib; buried her at night. He did not inform Abu Bakr about her death and offered the funeral prayer over her himself. During the lifetime of Fatima; All received special regard from the people. After she had died; he felt estrangement in the faces of the people towards him. So he sought to make peace with Abu Bakr and offer his allegiance to him. He had not yet owed allegiance to him as Caliph during these months. He sent a person to Abu Bakr requesting him to visit him unaccompanied by anyone disapproving the presence of Umar. Umar said to Abu Bakr: BY Allah; you will not visit them alone. Abu Bakr said: What will they do to me? By Allah; I will visit them. And he did pay them a visit alone. All recited Tashahhud as it is done in the beginning of a religious sermon ; then said: We recognise your moral excellence and what Allah has bestowed upon you. We do not envy the favour i. e. the Catiphate which Allah nas conferred upon you; but you have done it assumed the position of Caliph alone without consulting us ; and we thought we had a right to be consulted on account of our kinship with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He continued to talk to Abu Bakr in this vein until the latter eyes welled up with tears. Then Abd Bakr spoke and said: By Allah; in Whose Hand is my life; the kinship of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is dearer to me than the kinship of my own people. As regards the dispute that has arisen between you and me about these properties; I have not deviated from the right course and I have not given up doing about them what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to do. So Ali said to Abu Bakr: This aftetnoon is fixed for swearing allegiance to you. So when Abu Bakr had finished his Zuhr prayer; he ascended the pulpit and recited Tashahhud; and described the status of Ali; his delay in swearing allegiance and the excuse which lie had offered to him for this delay. After this he asked for God forgiveness. Then Ali Bin Abu Talib recited the Tashahhud. extolled the merits of Abu Bakr and said that his action was nott prompted by any jealousy of Abu Bakr on his part or his refusal to accept the high position which Allah had conferred upon him; adding: But we were of the opinion that we should have a share in the government; but the matter had been decided without taking us into confidence; and this displeased us. Hence the delay in offering allegiance. The Muslims were pleased with this explanation and they said: You have done the right thing. The Muslims were again favourably inclined to Ali since he adopted the proper course of action. The Chapter on Oaths And Pledges And Charity in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 16 in Sahih Muslim

We came to that and two persons amongst us reached that fountain ahead of us. It was a thin flow of water like the shoelace. Allah Messenger ﷺ asked them whether they had touched the water. They said: Yes. Allah Apostle ﷺ scolded them; and he said to them what he had to say by the will of God. The people then took water of the fountain in their palms until it became somewhat significant and Allah Messenger ﷺ washed his hands and his face too in it; and then; took it again in that fountain and there gushed forth abundant water from that fountain; until all the people drank to their fill. He the Holy Prophet bought a sheep from him; and it was slaughtered and its meat was prepared; and Allah Messenger ﷺ commanded that its liver should be roasted. He the narrator said: By Allah; none among one hundred and thirty persons was left whom Allah Messenger ﷺ had not given a part out of her liver; if anyone was present he gave it to him. but if he was absent it was set Aasi de for him. So I mounted and to my great surprise I saw it moving so quickly that I had to restrain it from going ahead of Allah Messenger ﷺ. He the Holy Prophet in the course of journey said to me : Have you married? I said: Yes. He again said: Is it with a virgin or one previously married? I said. With one previously married; whereupon he again said: Why not with a young girl with whom you could sport and she could have sported with you? I said: I have sisters; so I preferred to marry a woman who could keep them together as one family. who could comb them and look after them. He said: You are about to go to your house ; and there you have the enjoyment of the wife company. He again said: Do you want to sell your camel? I said: Yes. So he bought it from me for one uqiya of silver ; Then Allah Messenger ﷺ arrived at Medina and I arrived in the evening. I went to the Masjid and found him at the door of the Masjid; and said: Is it now that you have arrived? I said: Yes; He said: Leave your camel; and enter the Masjid and offer two rakahs. So I entered and offered two rakahs of prayer; and then returned. He the Holy Prophet then commanded Bilal to weigh out one uqiya of silver tor me. Bilal weighed that out for me lowering the scale of balance. So I proceeded and as I turned my back he said: Call for me; Jabir. Then I came to him from the other side; hoping that he would supplicate just for me alone; and not them. I said: O Messenger of Allah; pray for forgiveness for me. He said: May Allah forgive you plural. Then a man among the people said: O Messenger of Allah; what about the Atirah and Fara? He said: Whoever wishes to offer and Atirah may do so; and whoever does not wish to; may not. Whoever wishes to offer a Fara may do so; and whoever does not wish to; may not. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-24617Narrated Kuraib; the client of Ibn Abbas: That Abdullah Bin Abbas; Abdulrahman Bin Azhar and AlMiswar Bin Makhramah sent him to Aisha; wife of the Prophet ﷺ. They said: Convey our regards to her from all of us and ask her about the two rakahs after the Asr prayer; and tell her that we have been informed that she prays them; and we are told that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited them. I entered upon her and told her that for which they had sent me to her. She said: Ask Umm Salamah. I returned to them Ibn Abbas and others and informed them about her opinion. They sent me back to Umm Salamah with the same mission for which they had sent me to Aishah. Umm Salamah said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibiting them; but later on I saw him praying them. When he prayed them; he had offered the Asr prayer. He then came to me while a number of women from Banu Haram from the Ansar were sitting with me. He prayed these two rakahs. I sent a slave girl to him and I told her: Stand beside him and tell him that Umm Salamah has asked: Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; I heard you prohibiting these two rakahs after the afternoon prayer but I see you praying them yourself. If he makes a sign with his hand; step backward from him. The slave girl did so. When he finished prayer; he said: O daughter of Abu Umayah; you asked about the praying of two rakahs after the Asr prayer; in fact; some people of Abd AlQais has come to me with the news that their people had embraced Islam. MuwataMalik-017-001-35709Yahya related to me from Malik from Sumay; the mawla of Abu Bakr Ibn Abdulrahman from Abu Salih AlSammani from Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; If someone does ghusl for major ritual impurity on the day of jumua and then goes in the first part of the time; it is as if he had offered up a camel. If he goes in the second part of the time; it is as if he had offered up a cow. If he goes in the third part of the time; it is as if he had offered up a horned ram. If he goes in the fourth part of the time; it is as if he had offered up a hen. If he goes in the fifth part of the time; it is as if he had offered up an egg. MuwataMalik-017-001-35838Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya Ibn Said from Sulayman Ibn Yasar that Said Ibn Huzaba AlMakhzumi was thrown off his mount while he was in ihram on the road to Makka. He asked after the person in charge of the relay station where he was injured and he found Abdullah Ibn Umar; Abdullah Ibn AlZubair and Marwan Ibn AlHakam there. He told them what had happened to him and all of them said that he should take whatever medicine he had to take and pay compensation for it. Then; when he got better again; he should do umra and come out of his ihram; after which he had to do hajj another year and to offer whatever sacrificial animal he was able to in the future. Malik said; This is what we do here in Madina if someone is detained by something other than an enemy. And when Abu Ayoub AlAnsari and Habbar Ibn AlAswad came to the day of the sacrifice and had missed the hajj; Umar Ibn AlKhattab told them to come out of ihram by doing umra and then to go home free of ihram and do hajj some time in the future and to sacrifice an animal; or; if they could not find one; to fast three days during the hajj and seven days after they had returned to their families. Malik said; Anyone who is detained from doing hajj after he has gone into ihram; whether by illness or otherwise; or by an error in calculating the month or because the new moon is concealed from him is in the same position as some one who is hindered from doing the hajj and must do the same as he does. Yahya said that Malik was asked about the situation of someone from Makka who went into ihram for hajj and then broke a bone or had severe stomach pain; or of a woman who was in labour; and he said; Someone to whom this happens is in the same situation as one who is hindered from doing the hajj; and he must do the same as people from outlying regions do when they are hindered from doing the hajj. Malik said; about someone who arrived in the months of the hajj with the intention of doing umra; and completed his umra and went into ihram in Makka to do hajj; and then broke a bone or something else happened to him which stopped him from being present at Arafa with everybody else; I think that he should stay where he is until he is better and then go outside the area of the Haram; and then return to Makka and do tawaf of the House and say between Safa and Marwa; and then leave ihram. He must then do hajj again another year and offer a sacrificial animal. Malik said; about someone who left ihram in Makka; and then did tawaf of the House and say between Safa and Marwa; and then fell ill and was unable to be present with everybody at Arafa; If the hajj passes someone by he should; if he can; go out of the area of the Haram and then come back in again to do umra and do tawaf of the House and say between Safa and Marwa; because he had not intended his initial tawaf to be for an umra; and so for this reason he does it again. He must do the next hajj and offer a sacrificial animal. If he is not one of the people of Makka; and something happens to him which stops him from doing the hajj; but he does tawaf of the House and say between Safa and Marwa; he should come out of ihram by doing an umra and then do tawaf of the House a second time; and say between Safa and Marwa; because his initial tawaf and say were intended for the hajj. He must do the next hajj and offer a sacrificial animal. The Chapter on The Kabbah In Alahjj in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Hajj in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-35907Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard one of the people of knowledge say; A man and wife should not share in one sacrificial animal. Each should sacrifice an animal separately. Malik was asked about whether someone who had been entrusted with an animal for him to sacrifice on hajj; who went into ihram for umra; should sacrifice it when he came out of ihram or postpone it so that he sacrificed it at the time of the hajj while in the meantime he came out of ihram from his umra. He said; He should postpone it so that he may sacrifice it at the time of the hajj; and meanwhile come out of ihram from his umra. Malik said; If it is judged that some- one must offer an animal for having killed game; or for any other reason; this animal can only be sacrificed at Makka; since Allah; the Blessed and Exalted; says; a sacrificial animal which will reach the Kaba. The fasting or sadaqa that is considered equivalent to offering a sacrifice can be done outside Makka; and the person who is doing it can do it wherever he likes. The Chapter on Hajj Altamattu in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Business Transactions in Muwata Malik
