SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3379 | Narrated Ubaidullah Bin Adi Bin AlKhiyar: AlMiswar Bin Makhrama and Abdulrahman Bin AlAswad Bin Abu Yaghuth said to me ; What forbids you to talk to Uthman about his brother AlWalid because people have talked much about him? So I went to Uthman and when he went out for prayer I said to him ; I have something to say to you and it is a piece of advice for you Uthman said; O man; from you. Umar said: I see that he said; I seek Refuge with Allah from you. So I left him and went to them. Then the messenger of Uthman came and I went to him i.e. Uthman ; Uthman asked; What is your advice? I replied; Allah sent Muhammad with the Truth; and revealed the Divine Book i.e. Quran to him; and you were amongst those who followed Allah and His Apostle; and you participated in the two migrations to Ethiopia and to Medina and enjoyed the company of Allah Messenger ﷺ and saw his way. No doubt; the people are talking much about AlWalid. Uthman said; Did you receive your knowledge directly from Allah Messenger ﷺ ? I said; No; but his knowledge did reach me and it reached even to a virgin in her seclusion. Uthman said; And then Allah sent Muhammad with the Truth and I was amongst those who followed Allah and His Apostle and I believed in what ever he i.e. the Prophet was sent with; and participated in two migrations; as you have said; and I enjoyed the company of Allah Messenger ﷺ and gave the pledge of allegiance him. By Allah! I never disobeyed him; nor did I cheat him till Allah took him unto Him. Then I treated Abu Bakr and then Umar similarly and then I was made Caliph. So; dont I have rights similar to theirs? I said; Yes. He said; Then what are these talks reaching me from you people? Now; concerning what you mentioned about the question of AlWalid; Allah willing; I shall deal with him according to what is right. Then he called Ali and ordered him to flog him; and Ali flogged him i.e. AlWalid eighty lashes. | The Chapter on Communication Talking In Prayers in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The virtues of Uthman Bin Affan in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-416 | Narrated Ayoub : Hafsa bint Seereen said; On Id we used to forbid our girls to go out for Id prayer. A lady came and stayed at the palace of Bani Khalaf and I went to her. She said; The husband of my sister took part in twelve holy battles along with the Prophet ﷺ and my sister was with her husband in six of them. My sister said that they used to nurse the sick and treat the wounded. Once she asked; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! If a woman has no veil; is there any harm if she does not come out on Id day ? The Prophet ﷺ said; Her companion should let her share her veil with her; and the women should participate in the good deeds and in the religious gatherings of the believers. Hafsa added; When Um-Atiya came; I went to her and asked her; Did you hear anything about so-and-so? Um-Atiya said; Yes; let my father be sacrificed for the Prophet ﷺ. And whenever she mentioned the name of the Prophet ﷺ she always used to say; Let my father be sacrificed for him. He said; Virgin mature girls staying often screened or said; Mature girls and virgins staying often screened-Aiyub is not sure as which was right and menstruating women should come out on the Id day. But the menstruating women should keep away from the Mousalla. And all the women should participate in the good deeds and in the religious gatherings of the believers. Hafsa said; On that I said to Um-Atiya; Also those who are menstruating? Um-Atiya replied; Yes. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6743 | Narrated Safwan Bin Yala Bin Umaiya: that his father said; I participated in AlUsra i.e. Tabuk along with the Prophet. Yala added; My participation in that Ghazwa was the best of my deeds to me. Yala said; I had a laborer who quarrelled with somebody; and one of the two bit the hand of the other Ata; the sub-narrator; said; Safwan told me who bit whom but I forgot it ; and the one who was bitten; pulled his hand out of the mouth of the biter; so one of the incisors of the biter was broken. So we came to the Prophet ﷺ and he considered the biter claim as invalid i.e. the biter did not get a recompense for his broken incisor. SahihMuslim-017-001-18148 | It has been narrated on the authority of Yazid Bin Hurmuz that Najda wrote to Ibn Abbas inquiring of him five things. Ibn Abbas said: If I had not the fear of committing sin for concealing the knowledge I would not have written to him. Najda wrote to him saying after praising the Almighty and invoking blessings on the Prophet : Tell me whether the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took women to participate with him in Jihad; if he did ; whether he allotted them a regular share from the booty; whether he killed the children of the enemy in the war ; how long an orphan would be entitled to consideration as such; and for whom the Khums fifth part of the booty was booty. Ibn Abbas wrote to him: You have written asking me whether the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took women with him to participate in Jihad. He did take them to the battle and sometimes he fought along with them. They would treat the wounded and were given a reward from the booty; but he did not assign any regular share for them. And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not kill the children of the enemy; so you should not kill the children. Also you have written to me asking me when the orphanhood of an orphan comes to an end. By my life; if a man has become bearded but is still incapable of getting his due from others or fulfilling his obligation towards them; he is yet an orphan to be treated as such ; but when he can look after his interests like grown-up people; he is no longer an orphan. And you have written to me inquiring about Khums as to whom it is meant for. In this connection we the kinsmen of the Messenger of Allah used to say: It is for us; but those people i.e. Banu Umaya have denied it to us. | The Chapter on Booties Of Almaghazi in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 48 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-18150 | It has been narrated on the authority of Yazid Bin Hurmuz who said: Najda Bin Amir AlHaruri wrote to Ibn Abbas asking him about the slave and the woman as to whether they would get a share from the booty it they participated in Jihad ; about the killing of enemy children in war ; about the orphan as to when his orphanhood comes to an end; about kinsmen of the Holy Prophet as to who they are. He said to Yazid: Write to him. If he were not likely to fall into folly; I would not have written to him. Write: You have written asking about the woman and the slave whether they would get a share of the booty if they participated in Jihad. You should know that there is nothing of the sort for them except that they will be given a prize. And you have written asking me about the killing of the enemy children in war. You should understand that the Messenger of Allah may peare be upon him did not kill them. and thou shouldst not kill them unless thou knew what the companion of Moses i. e. Khadir knew about the boy he had killed. And you have written asking me about the orphan as to when the period of his orphanhood comes to an end; so that the sobriquet of orphan is dropped from him. In this regard; you should know that the sobriquet orphan will not be dropped from him until he attains maturity of body and mind. And you have written asking me about the close relatives of the Holy Prophet as to who they are. We think that it is we; but our people have denied us this position and its concomitant privileges. | The Chapter on Booties Of Almaghazi in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 48 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-18158 | It has been reported on the authority of Abu AlZubair who heard Jabir Bin Abdullah say: I fought in the company of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ nineteen battles. After Abdullah my father was killed on the Day of Uhud; I never lagged behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and joined every battle he fought. | The Chapter on Military Expedition Of Badr in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 49 in Sahih Muslim

SunanAlTermithi-017-001-10077 | Narrated Anas: My paternal uncle Anas Bin AlNadr - after whom I was named - did not participate in the battle of Badr with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. This distressed him and he said: I was absent from the first battle which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ attended. By Allah! If Allah gives me the opportunity to participate in another battle along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; then Allah will see what I will do! He said: He did not want to say more than that. A year later; he attended the battle of Uhud; where he saw Saad Bin Muadh and said: O Abu Amr where are you going? He said: I long for the fragrance of Paradise and I have found it near the mountains of Uhud. He fought them until he was killed. They found more than eighty wounds on his body; be they from blows of a sword; puncture wounds; or arrows. My paternal aunt AlRubai Bin AlNadr said: I could not recognize my brother except by his finger tips. And this Ayah was revealed: Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah; of them some have fulfilled their vow; and some of them are still waiting; but they have never changed in the least 33:23. | The Chapter on Military Expedition Of Badr in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Chapters on Tafsir in Sunan AlTermithi
