But proclaim (to them) this (truth): that every soul delivers itself to ruin by its own acts: it will find for itself no protector or intercessor except Allah: if it offered every ransom, (or reparation), none will be accepted: such is (the end of) those who deliver themselves to ruin by their own acts: they will have for drink (only) boiling water, and for punishment, one most grievous: for they persisted in rejecting Allah.

He said: "Oh! how shall Allah bring it (ever) to life, after (this) its death?" but Allah caused him to die for a hundred years, then raised him up (again). He said: "How long didst thou tarry (thus)?" He said: (Perhaps) a day or part of a day." He said: "Nay, thou hast tarried thus a hundred years; but look at thy food and thy drink; they show no signs of age; and look at thy donkey: And that We may make of thee a sign unto the people, Look further at the bones, how We bring them together and clothe them with flesh." When this was shown clearly to him, he said: "I know that Allah hath power over all things."

SahihAlBukhari-017-001-7071Narrated Aisha: When there was said about me what was said which I myself was unaware of; Allah Messenger ﷺ got up and addressed the people. He recited Tashah-hud; and after glorifying and praising Allah as He deserved; he said; To proceed: O people Give me your opinion regarding those people who made a forged story against my wife. By Allah; I do not know anything bad about her. By Allah; they accused her of being with a man about whom I have never known anything bad; and he never entered my house unless I was present there; and whenever I went on a journey; he went with me. Saad Bin Muadh got up and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ Allow me to chop their heads off. Then a man from the AlKhazraj Saad Bin Ubada to whom the mother of the poet Hassan Bin Thabit was a relative; got up and said to Saad Bin Muadh ; You have told a lie! By Allah; if those persons were from the Aus Tribe; you would not like to chop their heads off. It was probable that some evil would take place between the Aus and the Khazraj in the Masjid; and I was unaware of all that. In the evening of that day; I went out for some of my needs i.e. to relieve myself ; and Um Mistah was accompanying me. On our return; Um Mistah stumbled and said; Let Mistah. be ruined I said to her; O mother Why do you abuse your Son On that Um Mistah became silent for a while; and stumbling again; she said; Let Mistah be ruined I said to her; Why do you abuse your son? She stumbled for the third time and said; Let Mistah be ruined whereupon I rebuked her for that. She said; By Allah; I do not abuse him except because of you. I asked her; Concerning what of my affairs? So she disclosed the whole story to me. I said; Has this really happened? She replied; Yes; by Allah. I returned to my house; astonished and distressed that I did not know for what purpose I had gone out. Then I became sick fever and said to Allah Messenger ﷺ Send me to my father house. So he sent a slave with me; and when I entered the house; I found Um Rum-an my mother downstairs while my father Abu Bakr was reciting something upstairs. My mother asked; What has brought you; O my daughter? I informed her and mentioned to her the whole story; but she did not feel it as I did. She said; O my daughter! Take it easy; for there is never a charming lady loved by her husband who has other wives but that they feel jealous of her and speak badly of her. But she did not feel the news as I did. I asked her ; Does my father know about it? She said; yes I asked; Does Allah Messenger ﷺ know about it too? She said; Yes; Allah Messenger ﷺ does too. So the tears filled my eyes and I wept. Abu Bakr; who was reading upstairs heard my voice and came down and asked my mother; What is the matter with her? She said; She has heard what has been said about her as regards the story of Allfk. On that Abu Bakr wept and said; I beseech you by Allah; O my daughter; to go back to your home. I went back to my home and Allah Messenger ﷺ had come to my house and asked my maid-servant about me my character. The maid-servant said; By Allah; I do not know of any defect in her character except that she sleeps and let the sheep enter her house and eat her dough. On that; some of the Prophet companions spoke harshly to her and said; Tell the truth to Allah Messenger ﷺ. Finally they told her of the affair of the slander. She said; Subhan Allah! By Allah; I know nothing against her except what goldsmith knows about a piece of pure gold. Then this news reached the man who was accused; and he said; Subhan Allah! By Allah; I have never uncovered the private parts of any woman. Later that man was martyred in Allah Cause. Next morning my parents came to pay me a visit and they stayed with me till Allah Messenger ﷺ came to me after he had offered the Asr prayer. He came to me while my parents were sitting around me on my right and my left. He praised and glorified Allah and said; Now then O Aisha! If you have committed a bad deed or you have wronged yourself ; then repent to Allah as Allah accepts the repentance from his slaves. An AlAnsari woman had come and was sitting near the gate. I said to the Prophet. Isnt it improper that you speak in such a way in the presence of this lady? Allah Apostle then gave a piece of advice and I turned to my father and requested him to answer him on my behalf. My father said; What should I say? Then I turned to my mother and asked her to answer him. She said; What should I say? When my parents did not give a reply to the Prophet; I said; I testify that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah; and that Muhammad is His Apostle! And after praising and glorifying Allah as He deserves; I said; Now then; by Allah; if I were to tell you that I have not done this evil action and Allah is a witness that I am telling the truth; that would not be of any use to me on your part because you people have spoken about it and your hearts have absorbed it; and if I were to tell you that I have done this sin and Allah knows that I have not done it; then you will say; She has confessed herself guilty. By Allah; I do not see a suitable example for me and you but the example of I tried to remember Jacob name but couldnt Joseph father when he said; So for me Patience is most fitting against that which you assert. It is Allah alone whose help can be sought. At that very hour the Divine Inspiration came to Allah Messenger ﷺ and we remained silent. Then the Inspiration was over and I noticed the signs of happiness on his face while he was removing the sweat from his forehead and saying; Have the good tidings O Aisha! Allah has revealed your innocence. At that time I was extremely angry. My parents said to me. Get up and go to him. I said; By Allah; I will not do it and will not thank him nor thank either of you; but I will thank Allah Who has revealed my innocence. You have heard this story but neither did not deny it nor change it to defend me ; Aisha used to say: But as regards Zainab bint Jahsh; the Prophet wife ; Allah protected her because of her piety; so she did not say anything except good about me ; but her sister; Hamna; was ruined among those who were ruined. Those who used to speak evil about me were Mistah; Hassan Bin Thabit; and the hypocrite; Abdullah Bin Ubai; who used to spread that news and tempt others to speak of it; and it was he and Hamna who had the greater share therein. Abu Bakr took an oath that he would never do any favor to Mistah at all. Then Allah revealed the Divine Verse: Let not those among you who are good and wealthy i.e. Abu Bakr swear not to give any sort of help to their kinsmen; and those in need; i.e. Mistah...Do you not love that Allah should forgive you? And Allah is Oft-Forgiving; Most Merciful. 24.22 On that; Abu Bakr said; Yes; by Allah; O our Lord! We wish that You should forgive us. SahihMuslim-017-001-18097It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Wail who said: Sahal Bin Hunaif stood up on the Day of Siffin and said: O ye people; blame yourselves for want of discretion ; we were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the Day of Hudaibiya. If we had thought it fit to fight; we could fight. This was in the truce between the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the polytheists. Umar Bin AlKhattab came; approached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: Messenger of Allah; arent we fighting for truth and they for falsehood? He replied: By all means. He asked: Are not those killed from our side in Paradise and those killed. from their side in the Fire? He replied: Yes. He said: Then why should we put a blot upon our religion and return; while Allah has not decided the issue between them and ourselves? He said: Son of AlKhattab; I am the Messenger of Allah. Allah will never ruin me. The narrator said : Umar went away; but he could not contain himself with rage. So he approached Abu Bakr and said: Abu Bakr; arent we fighting for truth and they for falsehood? He replied: Yes. He asked: Arent those killed from our side in Paradise and those killed from their side in the Fire? He replied: Why not? He then said: Why should we then disgrace our religion and return while God has not yet decided the issue between them and ourselves? Abu Bakr said: Son of AlKhattab; verily; he is the Messenger of Allah; and Allah will never ruin him. The narrator continued : At this a Surat of the Quran giving glad tidings of the victory was revealed to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He sent for Umar and made him read it. He asked: Is this truce a victory? He the Messenger of Allah replied: Yes. SahihMuslim-017-001-19491Abu Huraira reported Allah Messenger ﷺ as saying: He who loves meeting Allah; Allah loves to meet him; and he who dislikes to meet Allah; Allah abhors to meet him. I Shuraih Bin Hani; one of the narrators came to Aisha and said to her: Mother of the faithful; I heard Abu Huraira narrate from Allah Messenger ﷺ which; if it is actually so; is a destruction to us. Thereupon she said: Those are in fact ruined who are ruined at the words of Allah Messenger ﷺ. What are the words which in your opinion would cause your destruction ? He said that Allah Messenger ﷺ had stated: He who loves to meet Allah; Allah too loves to meet him; and he who dislikes to meet Allah; Allah too abhors to meet him; and there is none amongst us who dons not hate death. Thereupon she said: Allah Messenger ﷺ has in fact stated this; but it does not mean what you construe; but it implies the time when one loses the lustre of the eye; and there is rattling in the throat; shudder in the body and convulsion in fingers at the time of death. SahihMuslim-017-001-24166Anas Bin Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to Medina and stayed in the upper part of Medina for fourteen nights with a tribe called Banu Amr b Auf. He the narrator said: I perceive as if I am seeing the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on his ride with Abu Bakr behind him and the chiefs of Banu AlNajjar around him till he alighted in the courtyard of Abu Ayoub. He the narrator said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said prayer when the time came for prayer; and he prayed in the fold of goats and sheep. He then ordered Masjids to be built and sent for the chiefs of Banu AlNajjar; and they came to him. He the Holy Prophet said to them: O Banu AlNajjar; sell these lands of yours to me. They said: No; by Allah. we would not demand their price; but reward from the Lord. Anas said: There in these lands were trees and graves of the polytheists; and ruins. The Messenger of Allah may peace he upon him ordered that the trees should be cut; and the graves should be dug out; and the ruins should be levelled. SunanAlNasai-017-001-11563It was narrated that Anas Bin Malik said: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to AlMadinah; he alighted in the upper part of AlMadinah among the tribe called Banu Amr Bin Awuf and he stayed with them for fourteen nights. Then he sent for the chiefs of Banu AlNajjar; and they came with their swords by their sides. It is as if I can see the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on his camel with Abu Bakr riding behind him on the same camel and the chiefs of Banu AlNajjar around him; until he dismounted in the courtyard of Abu Ayoub. The Prophet ﷺ used to offer the prayer wherever he was when the time for prayer came; and he would pray even in sheepfolds. Then he ordered that the Masjid be built. He sent for the chiefs of Banu AlNajjar; and when they came; he said: O Banu AlNajjar; name me a price for this grove of yours. They said: By Allah; we will not ask for its price except from Allah. Anas said: In that grove there were graves of idolators; ruins and date-palm trees. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered that the graves of the idolators be dug up; the ruins be leveled and the date-palm trees be cut down. The trunks of the trees were arranged so as to form the walls facing the Qiblah. The stone pillars were built at the sides of its gate. They started to move the stones; reciting some lines of verse; and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was with them when they were saying: O Allah! There is no good except the good of the Hereafter. The narrator Hammad said : I doubt whether he the Prophet said: their urine. Abu Dharr said: I was away from the watering place and I had my family with me. I would have sexual defilement and pray without purification. I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at noon. He was resting in the shade of the Masjid along with a group of Companions. He the Prophet said: Abu Dharr. I said: Yes; I am ruined; Messenger of Allah. He said: What ruined you ? I said: I was away from the watering place and I had family with me. I used to be sexually defiled and pray without purification. He commanded to bring water for me. Then a black slave-girl brought a vessel of water that was shaking as the vessel was not full. I concealed myself behind a camel and took bath and them came to the Prophet. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Abu Dharr; clean earth is a means of ablution; even if you do not find water for ten years. When you find water; you should make it touch your skin.Abu Dawud said: This is transmitted by Hammad Bin Zaid from Ayoub. This version does not mention the words their urine. This is not correct. If his master wishes to give the value of what the slave took or ruined; or pay the blood-price for the injury; he pays it and keeps his slave. If he wishes to surrender him; he surrenders him; and none of that is against him.
