But neither of these taught anyone (Such things) without saying: "We are only for trial; so do not blaspheme." They learned from them the means to sow discord between man and wife. But they could not thus harm anyone except by Allah's permission. And they learned what harmed them, not what profited them. And they knew that the buyers of (magic) would have no share in the happiness of the Hereafter. And vile was the price for which they did sell their souls, if they but knew!

Recount My favour to thee and to thy mother. Behold! I strengthened thee with the holy spirit, so that thou didst speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. Behold! I taught thee the Book and Wisdom, the Law and the Gospel and behold! thou makest out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, by My leave, and thou breathest into it and it becometh a bird by My leave, and thou healest those born blind, and the lepers, by My leave. And behold! thou bringest forth the dead by My leave. And behold! I did restrain the Children of Israel from (violence to) thee when thou didst show them the clear Signs, and the unbelievers among them said: 'This is nothing but evident magic.'

SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1045Narrated Anas: The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah will gather the believers on the Day of Resurrection in the same way as they are gathered in this life ; and they will say; Let us ask someone to intercede for us with our Lord that He may relieve us from this place of ours. Then they will go to Adam and say; O Adam! Dont you see the people people condition ? Allah created you with His Own Hands and ordered His angels to prostrate before you; and taught you the names of all the things. Please intercede for us with our Lord so that He may relieve us from this place of ours. Adam will say; I am not fit for this undertaking and mention to them the mistakes he had committed; and add; But you d better go to Noah as he was the first Apostle sent by Allah to the people of the Earth. They will go to Noah who will reply; I am not fit for this undertaking; and mention the mistake which he made; and add; But youd better go to Abraham; Khalil AlRahman. They will go to Abraham who will reply; I am not fit for this undertaking; and mention to them the mistakes he made; and add; But youd better go to Moses; a slave whom Allah gave the Torah and to whom He spoke directly They will go to Moses who will reply; I am not fit for this undertaking; and mention to them the mistakes he made; and add; Youd better go to Jesus; Allah slave and His Apostle and His Word Be: And it was and a soul created by Him. They will go to Jesus who will say; I am not fit for this undertaking; but youd better go to Muhammad whose sins of the past and the future had been forgiven by Allah. So they will come to me and I will ask the permission of my Lord; and I will be permitted to present myself before Him. When I see my Lord; I will fall down in prostration before Him and He will leave me in prostration as long as He wishes; and then it will be said to me; O Muhammad! Raise your head and speak; for you will be listened to; and ask; for you will be granted your request ; and intercede; for your intercession will be accepted. I will then raise my head and praise my Lord with certain praises which He has taught me; and then I will intercede. Allah will allow me to intercede for a certain kind of people and will fix a limit whom I will admit into Paradise. I will come back again; and when I see my Lord again ; I will fall down in prostration before Him; and He will leave me in prostration as long as He wishes; and then He will say; O Muhammad! Raise your head and speak; for you will be listened to; and ask; for you will be granted your request ; and intercede; for your intercession will be accepted. I will then praise my Lord with certain praises which He has taught me; and then I will intercede. Allah will allow me to intercede for a certain kind of people and will fix a limit to whom I will admit into Paradise; I will return again; and when I see my Lord; I will fall down in prostration and He will leave me in prostration as long as He wishes; and then He will say; O Muhammad! Raise your head and speak; for you will be listened to; and ask; for you will be granted your request ; and intercede; for your intercession will be accepted. I will then praise my Lord with certain praises which He has taught me; and then I will intercede. Allah will allow me to intercede for a certain kind of people and will fix a limit to whom I will admit into Paradise. I will come back and say; O my Lord! None remains in Hell Fire but those whom Quran has imprisoned therein and for whom eternity in Hell Fire has become inevitable. The Prophet ﷺ added; There will come out of Hell Fire everyone who says: La ilaha illal-lah; and has in his heart good equal to the weight of a barley grain. Then there will come out of Hell Fire everyone who says: La ilaha illal-lah; and has in his heart good equal to the weight of a wheat grain. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1181Narrated Umar Bin AlKhattab: I heard Hisham Bin Hakim reciting Surat AlFurqan during the lifetime of Allah Messenger ﷺ ; I listened to his recitation and noticed that he was reciting in a way that Allah Messenger ﷺ had not taught me. I was about to jump over him while He was still in prayer; but I waited patiently and when he finished his prayer; I put my sheet round his neck and pulled him and said; Who has taught you this Surat which I have heard you reciting? Hisham said; Allah Messenger ﷺ taught it to me. I said; You are telling a lie; for he taught it to me in a way different from the way you have recited it! Then I started leading dragged him to Allah Messenger ﷺ and said to the Prophet ; I have heard this man reciting Surat AlFurqan in a way that you have not taught me. The Prophet ﷺ said: O Umar release him! Recite; O Hisham. Hisham recited in the way I heard him reciting. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; It was revealed like this. Then Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Recite; O Umar! I recited in the way he had taught me; whereupon he said; It was revealed like this; and added; The Quran has been revealed to be recited in seven different ways; so recite of it whichever is easy for you. He said: This is the matter of the Christians. Abdullah Ibn Zayd returned anxiously from there because of the anxiety of the Apostle ﷺ. He was then taught the call to prayer in his dream. Next day he came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and informed him about it. He said: Messenger of Allah; I was between sleep and wakefulness; all of a sudden a newcomer came to me and taught me the call to prayer. Umar Ibn AlKhattab had also seen it in his dream before; but he kept it hidden for twenty days. The Prophet ﷺ said to me Umar : What did prevent you from saying it to me? He said: Abdullah Ibn Zayd had already told you about it before me: hence I was ashamed. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Bilal; stand up; see what Abdullah Ibn Zayd tells you to do ; then do it. Bilal then called them to prayer. He said: He used to teach us also some other words; but he did not teach them as he taught us the tashahhud: O Allah; join our hearts; mend our social relationship; guide us to the path of peace; bring us from darkness to light; save us from obscenities; outward or inward; and bless our ears; our eyes; our hearts; our wives; our children; and relent toward us; Thou art the Relenting; the Merciful. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-27950Narrated Abu Mousa AlAshari: Hittan Ibn Abdullah AlRuqashi said: Abu Mousa AlAshari led us in prayer. When he sat at the end of his prayer; one of the people said: Prayer has been established by virtue and purity. When Abu Mousa returned from his prayer or finished his prayer ; he gave his attention to the people; and said: Which of you is the speaker of such and such words? The people remained silent. Which of you is the speaker of such and such words? The people remained silent. He said: You might have said them; Hittan. He replied: I did not say them. I was afraid you might punish me. One of the people said: I said them and I did not intend by them anything except good. Abu Mousa said: Do you not know how you utter them in your prayer? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed us; and taught us and explained to us our way of doing and taught us our prayer. He said: When you pray a congregational prayer; straighten your rows; then one of you should lead you in prayer. When he says the takbir Allah is Most Great ; say the takbir; and when he recites verses Not of those upon whom is Thy anger; nor of those who err i.e. the end of Surah i. ; say Amin; Allah will favour you. When he says Allah is most great; and bows; say Allah is most great and bow; for the imam will bow before you; and will raise his head before you. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: This is for that. When he says Allah listens to the one who praises Him; say: O Allah; our Lord; to Thee be praise; Allah be praised; Allah will listen to you; for Allah; the Exalted; said by the tongue of His Prophet ﷺ : Allah listens to the one who praises Him. When he says Allah is most great and prostrates; say: Allah is most great and prostrate; for the imam prostrates before you and raises his head before you. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: This is for that. When he sits; each one of you should say The adorations of the tongue; all good things; and acts of worship are due to Allah. Peace be upon you; O Prophet; and Allah mercy and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon Allah upright servants. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-29320Narrated A man of Banu Taghlib: Harb Ibn Ubaydullah Ibn Umayr AlThaqafi told on the authority of his grandfather; a man of Banu Taghlib: I came to the Prophet ﷺ ; embraced Islam; and he taught me Islam. He also taught me how I should take sadaqah from my people who had become Muslim. I then returned to him and said: Messenger of Allah; I remembered whatever you taught me except the sadaqah. Should I levy tithe on them?
