And if they turn away, be assured that for some of their crime it is Allah's purpose to punish them. And truly most men are rebellious.

But neither of these taught anyone (Such things) without saying: "We are only for trial; so do not blaspheme." They learned from them the means to sow discord between man and wife. But they could not thus harm anyone except by Allah's permission. And they learned what harmed them, not what profited them. And they knew that the buyers of (magic) would have no share in the happiness of the Hereafter. And vile was the price for which they did sell their souls, if they but knew!

Such is the guidance of Allah: He guides therewith whom He pleases, but such as Allah leaves to stray, can have none to guide.

And Allah hath full power and control over His affairs; but most among mankind know it not.

They believe therein; but those of the Sects that reject it, - the Fire will be their promised meeting-place. Be not then in doubt thereon: for it is the truth from thy Lord: yet many among men do not believe!

I consult You; for You have all knowledge; and appeal to You to support me with Your Power and ask for Your Bounty; for You are able to do things while I am not; and You know while I do not; and You are the Knower of the Unseen. O Allah If You know It this matter name your matter is good for me both at present and in the future; or in my religion ; in my this life and in the Hereafter; then fulfill it for me and make it easy for me; and then bestow Your Blessings on me in that matter. O Allah! If You know that this matter is not good for me in my religion; in my this life and in my coming Hereafter or at present or in the future ; then divert me from it and choose for me what is good wherever it may be; and make me be pleased with it. She repeated her question twice; whereupon the Prophet ﷺ said; Even two; even two; even two! SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2475		Narrated Usama Bin Zaid: The Prophet ﷺ rode a donkey having a saddle with a Fadakiya velvet covering. He mounted me behind him and went to visit Saad Bin Ubada; and that had been before the battle of Badr. The Prophet ﷺ proceeded till he passed by a gathering in which Abdullah Bin Ubai Bin Salul was present; and that had been before Abdullah embraced Islam. The gathering comprised of Muslims; polytheists; i.e.; isolators and Jews. Abdullah Bin Rawaha was also present in that gathering. When dust raised by the donkey covered the gathering; Abdullah Bin Ubai covered his nose with his upper garment and said; Do not trouble us with dust. The Prophet ﷺ greeted them; stopped and dismounted. Then he invited them to Allah i.e.; to embrace Islam and recited to them some verses of the Holy Quran. On that; Abdullah Bin Ubai said; O man ! There is nothing better than what you say if it is true. Do not trouble us with it in our gathering; but return to your house; and if somebody comes to you; teach him there. On that Abdullah Bin Rawaha said; Yes; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Bring your teachings to our gathering; for we love that. So the Muslims; the pagans and the Jews started abusing each other till they were about to fight. The Prophet ﷺ kept on quietening them till they became calm. Thereupon the Prophet mounted his animal and proceeded till he entered upon Saad Bin Ubada. He said to him O Sad! Have you not heard what Abu Hubab i.e.; Abdullah Bin Ubai said? Saad said; O Allah Apostle! Excuse and forgive him; for Allah has given you what He has given you. The people of this town Medina decided unanimously to crown him and make him their chief by placing a turban on his head; but when that was prevented by the Truth which Allah had given you he Abdullah Bin Ubai was grieved out of jealously; and that was the reason which caused him to behave in the way you have seen. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4495		Narrated Amr Bin Maimun AlAudi: Saad used to teach his sons the following words as a teacher teaches his students the skill of writing and used to say that Allah Messenger ﷺ used to seek Refuge with Allah from them i.e. the evils at the end of every prayer. The words are: O Allah! I seek refuge with You from cowardice; and seek refuge with You from being brought back to a bad stage of old life and seek refuge with You from the afflictions of the world; and seek refuge with You from the punishments in the grave. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4633		Narrated Jabir Bin Abdullah: I participated in a Ghazwa along with Allah Messenger ﷺ The Prophet ﷺ met me on the way while I was riding a camel of ours used for irrigation and it had got so tired that it could hardly walk. The Prophet ﷺ asked me; What is wrong with the camel? I replied; It has got tired. So. Allah Messenger ﷺ came from behind it and rebuked it and prayed for it so it started surpassing the other camels and going ahead of them. Then he asked me; How do you find your camel now ? I replied; I find it quite well; now as it has received your blessings. He said; Will you sell it to me? I felt shy to refuse his offer though it was the only camel for irrigation we had. So; I said; Yes. He said; Sell it to me then. I sold it to him on the condition that I should keep on riding it till I reached Medina. Then I said; O Allah Apostle! I am a bridegroom; and requested him to allow me to go home. He allowed me; and I set out for Medina before the people till I reached Medina; where I met my uncle; who asked me about the camel and I informed him all about it and he blamed me for that. When I took the permission of Allah Messenger ﷺ he asked me whether I had married a virgin or a matron and I replied that I had married a matron. He said; Why hadnt you married a virgin who would have played with you; and you would have played with her? I replied; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! My father died or was martyred and I have some young sisters; so I felt it not proper that I should marry a young girl like them who would neither teach them manners nor serve them. So; I have married a matron so that she may serve them and teach them manners. When Allah Messenger ﷺ arrived in Medina; I took the camel to him the next morning and he gave me its price and gave me the camel itself as well. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-476		Narrated Fatima bint AlMundhir: Asma bint Abi Bakr AlSiddiq said; I went to Aisha and the people were offering Prayer. I asked her; What is wrong with the people ? She pointed towards the sky with her head. I asked her; Is there a sign ? Aisha nodded with her head meaning Yes. Asma added; Allah Messenger ﷺ prolonged the Prayer to such an extent that I fainted. There was a waterskin by my side and I opened it and poured some water on my head. When Allah Messenger ﷺ finished Prayer; and the solar eclipse had cleared; the Prophet ﷺ addressed the people and praised Allah as He deserves and said; Amma badu. Asma further said; Some Ansari women started talking; so I turned to them in order to make them quiet. I asked Aisha what the Prophet ﷺ had said. Aisha said: He said; I have seen things at this place of mine which were never shown to me before; I have seen even Paradise and Hell. And; no doubt it has been revealed to me that you people will be put in trial in your graves like or nearly like the trial of Masih AlDajjal. The angels will come to everyone of you and ask him; What do you know about this man Prophet Muhammad ﷺ ? The faithful believer or firm believer Hisham was in doubt which word the Prophet ﷺ used ; will say; He is Allah Messenger ﷺ and he is Muhammad ﷺ who came to us with clear evidences and guidance. So we believed him; accepted his teachings and followed and trusted his teaching. Then the angels will tell him to sleep in peace as they have come to know that he was a believer. But the hypocrite or a doubtful person Hisham is not sure as to which word the Prophet ﷺ used ; will be asked what he knew about this man Prophet Muhammed ﷺ. He will say; I do not know but I heard the people saying something about him so I said the same Hisham added; Fatima told me that she remembered that narration completely by heart except that she said about the hypocrite or a doubtful person that he will be punished severely. He the Holy Prophet stepped behind and drove it and prayed for it; and then it always moved ahead of other camels. He then said: How do you find your camel? I said: It is; by the grace of your prayer; all right. He said: Would you sell this camel to me? I felt shy to say him; No as we had no other camel for carrying water; but later on I said: Yes; and to I sold it to him on the condition that I would be permitted to ride it until I reached Madina. I said to him: Allah Messenger; I am newly married; so I asked his permission to go ahead of the caravan. He permitted me; and I reached Medina well in advance of other people; until I reached my destination. There my maternal uncle met me and asked me about the camel; and I told him what I had done with regard to it. He reproved me in this connection. He Jabir said: When I asked his permission to go ahead of the caravan Allah Messenger ﷺ inquired of me whether I had married a virgin or a non-virgin. I said to him: I have married a non-virgin. He said: Why did you not marry a virgin who would have played with you and you would have played with her? I said to him: Allah Messenger; my father died or he fell as a martyr ; and I have small sisters to look after ; so I did not like the idea that I should marry a woman who is like them and thus be not able to teach them manners and look after them properly. So I have married a non-virgin so that she should be able to look after them and teach them manners; When Allah Messenger ﷺ came to Medina; I went to him in the morning with the camel. SahihMuslim-017-001-19434		Abu AlAswad reported that Imran b Husain asked him: What is your view; what the people do today in the world; and strive for; is it something decreed for them or preordained for them or will their fate in the Hereafter be deterrained by the fact that their Prophets brought them teaching which they did not act upon? I said: Of course; it is something which is predetermined for them and preordained for them. He further said: Then; would it not be an injustice to punish them ? I felt greatly disturbed because of that; and said: Everything is created by Allah and lies in His Power. He would not be questioned as to what He does; but they would be questioned; thereupon he said to me: May Allah have mercy upon you; I did not mean to ask you but for testing your intelligence. Two men of the tribe of Muzaina came to Allah Messenger ﷺ and said: Allah Messenger; what is your opinion that the people do in the world and strive for; is something decreed for them; something preordained for them and will their fate in the Hereafter be determined by the fact that their Prophets brought them teachings which they did not act upon. and thus they became deserving of punishment? Thereupon; he said: Of course; it happens as it is decreed by Destiny and preordained for them; and this view is confirmed by this verse of the Book of Allah; the Exalted and Glorious: Consider the soul and Him Who made it perfect; then breathed into it its sin and its piety xci. 8. He said: Read three surahs which begin with A.L.R. He said: My age is advanced; my mind has become dull i.e. memory has grown weak ; and my tongue has grown heavy. So he said: Then read three surahs which begin with H.M. He repeated the same words. So he said: Read three surahs which begin with the Glorification of Allah. But he repeated the same excuse. The man then said: Teach me a comprehensive surah; Messenger of Allah. The Prophet ﷺ taught him Surah 99. When the Earth is shaken with her earthquake. When he finished it; the man said: By Him Who sent you with truth; I shall never add anything to it. Then man then went away. The Prophet ﷺ said twice: The man received salvation. He would tell us: When one of you intends to do a work; he should offer two supererogatory rakahs of prayer; and then say at the end of the prayer : O Allah; I seek Your choice on the better of the two matters based upon Your knowledge; and I seek Your decree based upon Your power; and I ask You for Your great bounties. For Indeed; You are the One Who Decrees; and I do not decree; and You know; and I do not know; and You are the Knower of the Unseen. O Allah; if you know this; and You are the Knower of the Unseen. O Allah; if you know this - here he should name exactly what he wishes - is better for me with regard to my religion; and my life; and my afterlife; and the end result of my affairs; then decree it to me; and make it easy for me; and bless me on it. O Allah; and if You know this to be evil for me - and he says just as he said the first time - then avert it for me; and avert me from it. And decree for me good wherever it might be; the make me content with it.
