SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1164 | Narrated Ibn Umar: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Your stay in this world in comparison to the stay of the nations preceding you; is like the period between Asr prayer and the sun set in comparison to a whole day. The people of the Torah were given the Torah and they acted on it till midday and then they were unable to carry on. And they were given a reward equal to one Qirat each. Then the people of the Gospel were given the Gospel and they acted on it till Asr Prayer and then they were unable to carry on; so they were given la reward equal to one Qirat each. Then you were given the Quran and you acted on it till sunset; therefore you were given a reward equal to two Qirats each. On that; the people of the Scriptures said; These people Muslims did less work than we but they took a bigger reward. Allah said to them. Have I done any oppression to you as regards your rights? They said; No. Then Allah said; That is My Blessing which I grant to whomsoever I will. | The Chapter on Jihad And Alhajj in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Say Bring here the Taurat and recite it in Sahih AlBukhari |

SunanAlNasai-017-001-11905 | It was narrated that Tariq Bin Shihab said: Abu Saeed AlKhudri said: I heard the Messenger of Allah SAWSYMOBOL say: Whoever among you sees an evil and changes it with his hand; then he has done his duty. Whoever is unable to do that; but changes it with his tongue; then he has done his duty. Whoever is unable to do that; but changes it with his heart; then he has done his duty; and that is the weakest of Faith. | The Chapter on Fulfilling Obligations To Mother Almasjid And Leaders in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Variation in People Level of Faith in Sunan AlNasai |

MuwataMalik-017-001-34977 | Malik related to me that he heard that Urwa Ibn AlZubair and Sulayman Ibn Yasar when asked whether the sons of a man; who had a kitaba written for himself and his children and then died; worked for the kitaba of their father or were slaves; said; They work for the kitaba of their father and they have no reduction at all for the death of their father. Malik said; If they are small and unable to work; one does not wait for them to grow up and they are slaves of their father master unless the mukatab has left what will pay their instalments for them until they can work. If there is enough to pay for them in what he has left; that is paid for on their behalf and they are left in their condition until they can work; and then if they pay; they are free. If they cannot do it; they are slaves. Malik spoke about a mukatab who died and left property which was not enough to pay his kitaba; and he also left a child with him in his kitaba and an umm walad; and the umm walad wanted to work for them. He said; The money is paid to her if she is trustworthy with it and strong enough to work. If she is not strong enough to work and not trustworthy with property; she is not given any of it and she and the children of the mukatab revert to being slaves of the master of the mukatab. Malik said; If people are written together in one kitaba and there is no kinship between them; and some of them are incapable and others work until they are all set free; those who worked can claim from those who were unable; the portion of what they paid for them because some of them assumed the responsibility for others. | The Chapter on Slave As A Property in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Good Character in Muwata Malik | |
MuwataMalik-017-001-35393 | Yahya related to me from Malik that Yahya Ibn Said said; I vowed to walk; but I was struck by a pain in the kidney; so I rode until I came to Makka. I questioned Ata Ibn Abi Rabah and others; and they said; You must sacrifice an animal. When I came to Madina I questioned the ulama there; and they ordered me to walk again from the place from which I was unable to go on. So I walked. Yahya said that he had heard Malik say; What is done among us regarding someone who makes a vow to walk to the House of Allah; and then cannot do it and so rides; is that he must return and walk from the place from which he was unable to go on. If he cannot walk; he should walk what he can and then ride; and he must sacrifice a camel; a cow; or a sheep if that is all that he can find. Malik; when asked about a man who said to another; I will carry you to the House of Allah; answered; If he intended to carry him on his shoulder; by that he meant hardship and exhaustion to himself; and he does not have to do that. Let him walk by foot and make sacrifice. If he did not intend anything; let him do hajj and ride; and take the man on hajj with him. That is because he said; I will carry you to the house of Allah. If the man refuses to do hajj with him; then there is nothing against him; and what is demanded of him is cancelled. Yahya said that Malik was asked whether it was enough for a man who had made a vow that he would walk to the House of Allah a certain large number of times; or who had forbidden himself from talking to his father and brother; if he did not fulfil a certain vow; and he had taken upon himself; by the oath; something which he was incapable of fulfilling in his lifetime; even though he were to try every year; to fulfil only one or a smaller number of vows by Allah? Malik said; The only satisfaction for that that I know is fulfilling what he has obliged himself to do. Let him walk for as long as he is able and draw near Allah the Exalted by what he can of good. | The Chapter on Hands And Obligations in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Jihad in Muwata Malik |
