And Allah said: "I am with you: if ye (but) establish regular prayers, practise regular charity, believe in my messengers, honour and assist them, and loan to Allah a beautiful loan, verily I will wipe out from you your evils, and admit you to gardens with rivers flowing beneath; but if any of you, after this, resisteth faith, he hath truly wandered from the path or rectitude."

SahihMuslim-017-001-18610		It is narrated on the authority of Ibn Shamasa Mahri that he said: We went to Amr Bin AlAs and he was about to die. He wept for a long time and turned his face towards the wall. His son said: Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ not give you tidings of this? Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ not give you tidings of this? He the narrator said: He turned his face towards the audience and said: The best thing which we can count upon is the testimony that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. Verily I have passed through three phases. The first one in which I found myself averse to none else more than I was averse to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and there was no other desire stronger in me than the one that I should overpower him and kill him. Had I died in this state; I would have been definitely one of the denizens of Fire. When Allah instilled the love of Islam in my heart; I came to the Apostle ﷺ and said: Stretch out your right hand so that may pledge my allegiance to you. He stretched out his right hand; I withdrew my hand; He the Holy Prophet said: What has happened to you; O Amr? replied: I intend to lay down some condition. He asked: What condition do you intend to put forward? I said: should be granted pardon. He the Holy Prophet observed: Are you not aware of the fact that Islam wipes out all the previous misdeeds ? Verily migration wipes out all the previous misdeeds ; and verily the pilgrimage wipes out all the previous misdeeds. And then no one as or dear to me than the Messenger of Allah and none was more sublime in my eyes than he; Never could I; pluck courage to catch a full glimpse of his face due to its splendour. So if I am asked to describe his features; I cannot do that for I have not eyed him fully. Had I died in this state had every reason to hope that I would have bee among the dwellers of Paradise. Then we were responsible for certain things in the light of which I am unable to know what is in store for me. When I die; let neither female mourner nor fire accompany me. When you bury me; fill my grave well with earth; then stand around it for the time within which a camel is slaughtered and its meat is distributed so that I may enjoy your intimacy and in your company ascertain what answer I can give to the messengers angels of Allah. He replied; I saw I saw Allah Messenger performing Ablution and he wiped over his Khuff. So I said to him; before Surah AlMaidah was revealed or after AlMaidah? So he replied; I did not acceot Islam until after AlMaidah. Qutaibah narrated this to us; saying Khalid Bin Ziyad AlTirmidhi narrated it to us; from Muqatil Bin Hayan; from Shahr Bin Hawshah; from Jarir.He said: Baqiyah related it from Ibrahim Bin Adham from Muqatil Bin Hayan; from Shahr Bin Hawshah; from Jarir.This Hadith is explanatory; because some who dislike wiping over the Khuff give the interpretation that the Prophet wiping over the two Khuff was before the revelation of Sural AlMaidah. But in his Hadlth; Jarir mentions that he saw the Prophet wiping over his Khuff after the revelation of Surat AlMaidah. So I said: Indeed there is some doubt in my chest concerning wiping over the Khuff after defecation and urination; and you were a man from the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ ; so I came to you to ask you: Have you heard him ﷺ mention anything concerning that? He said: Yes; he ﷺ used to order us; that when we were travelers - or - in travel; to not remove our Khuff for three days and nights except; from sexual impurity; but not from defecation; urination; and sleep. He said: Have you heard him ﷺ mention anything concerning love? He said: Yes. We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey when a Bedouin with a loud voice called upon him saying : O Muhammad! So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ responded to him with a voice similar to him saying : Come. So we said to him: Lower your voice for you are with the Prophet ﷺ ; and you have been prohibited from this. He said: By Allah; I will not lower my voice. The Bedouin said: A man loves a people but he is not with them in terms of deeds ? He ﷺ said: A man is with whomever he loves on the Day Of Judgment. So he did not cease talking with us; until he mentioned a gate in the direction of the west with the width of seventy years journey - or a rider would travel its width - for forty or seventy years. Sufyan one of the narrators said: In the direction of AlSham; Allah created it the Day He created the heavens and the earth; open - that is; for repentance. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Verily; when Allah created a man for Paradise; He makes him perform the deeds of the people of Paradise; until he dies doing one of the deeds of the people of Paradise. So Allah will admit him into Paradise. And when He created a man for the Fire; He makes him perform the deeds of the people of the Fire until he dies doing the deeds of the people of the Fire. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-26264		Abdulrahman AlTamiI reported: Ibn Abi Mulaikah was asked about ablution. He said : I saw Uthman Bin Affan who was asked about ablution. He called for water. A vessel was then brought to him. He inclined it towords his right hand poured water upon it. He then put it in the water three times; and washed his face three times. He then put his hand in the water and took it out; then he wiped his head and ears; in and out only once. He then washed his feet; and said : Where are those who asked me to perform ablution? I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performing ablution like that. Abu Dawud said : All the sound traditions narrated by Uthman indicated that the head is to be wiped once; because they mentioned the washing of each part in ablution three times. In their versions of tradition they mentioned the wordings: he wiped his head. In this case they did not mention any number as they did in other cases. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-26273		IbnAbbas said: Ali Bin Abi Talib entered upon me after he has passed water. He then called for water for ablution. We brought to him a vessel containing water; and placed it before him. He said: O IbnAbbas; may I not show you how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform ablution? I replied : Why not? He then inclined the vessel to his hand and washed it. He then put his right hand in the vessel and poured water over the other hand and washed his hands up to the wrist. He then rinsed his mouth and snuffed up water. He then put both of his hands together in the water and took out a handful of water and threw it upon the face. He then inserted both of his thumbs in the front part of the ears. He did like that twice and thrice. He then took a handful of water and poured it over his forehead and left it running down his face. He then washed his forearms up to the elbow three times. He then wiped his head and the back of his ears. He then put both of his hands together in the water and took a handful of it and threw it on his foot. He had a shoe foot like that. Do you wash your foot while it is in the shoe? He replied : Yes; while it is in the shoe. This question and answer were repeated thrice. Abu Dawud said: The version transmitted by Ibn Juraij from Shaibah is similar to the one narrated by Ali. In this version AlHajjaj reported on the authority of Ibn Juraij the wording: He wiped his head once. Ibn Wahb narrated from Ibn Juraij the wording: he wiped his head three times. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-26305		AlMughirah Bin Shubah reported: I was in the company of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the expedition of Tabuk. He abandoned the main road before the dawn prayer; and I also did the same along with him. The Prophet ﷺ made his camel kneel down and went to relieve himself. He then came back and I poured water upon his hands from the skin-vessel. He then washed his hands and face. He tried to get his forearms out of the gown ; but the sleeves of the gown were too narrow; so he entered back both his hands; and brought them out from beneath the gown. He washed his forearms up to the elbows and wiped his head and wiped over his socks.80 He then mounted his camel and we began to proceed until we found people offering the prayer. They brought forward Abdulrahman Bin Awuf who was leading them in prayer. The Prophet ﷺ stood in the row side by side with other Muslims. He performed the second rakah of the prayer behind Abdulrahman Bin Awuf. Then Abdulrahman uttered salutation. The Prophet ﷺ stood to perform the remaining rakah of the prayer. The Muslims were alarmed. They began to utter tasbih Subhan Allah presuming that they had offered prayer before the Prophet ﷺ had done. When he uttered the salutation i.e. finished his prayer ; he said: You were right; or he said you did well. I had seminal emission and I did not find water. Therefore; I rolled on the ground just as an animal rolls down. I then came to the Prophet ﷺ and made a mention of that to him. He said: It would have been enough for you to do thus. Then he struck the ground with his hands and shook them off and then stuck the right hand with his left hand and his left hand with his right hand and wiped over his hands up to the wrist and wiped his face. Abdullah then said to him: Did you not see that Umar was not satisfied with the statement of Ammar ? MuwataMalik-017-001-36117		Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Abbad Ibn Ziyad; a descendant of AlMughira Ibn Shuba from his father from AlMughira Ibn Shuba that the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; went to relieve himself during the expedition of Tabuk. Mughira said; I went with him; taking water. Then the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; came back and I poured out the water for him. He washed his hands and then went to push his hands out of the sleeves of his garment; but could not do so because of their narrowness. So he brought them out from underneath his garment. Then he washed his arms; wiped his head and wiped over his leather socks. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; returned and Abdar Rahman Ibn Awuf was leading the people in prayer; and he had already finished one raka with them. MuwataMalik-017-001-36118		Yahya related to me from Malik that Nafi and Abdullah Ibn Dinar told him that Abdullah Ibn Umar arrived at Kufa and went to Sad Ibn Abi Waqqas; who was the Amir of Kufa at that time. Abdullah Ibn Umar saw him wiping over his leather socks and disapproved of it. So Sad said to him; Ask your father when you get back. Abdullah returned but forgot to ask Umar about the matter until Sad arrived and said; Have you asked your father? and he said; No. Abdullah then asked Umar and Umar replied; If your feet are ritually pure when you put them in the leather socks then you can wipe over the socks. Abdullah said ;What about if we have just come from relieving ourselves? Umar said; Yes; even if you have just come from relieving yourself. MuwataMalik-017-001-36120		Yahya related to me from Malik that Said Ibn Abdulrahman Ibn Ruqash said; I saw Anas Ibn Malik come and squat and urinate.Then water was brought and he did Ablution. He washed his face; then his arms to the elbows; and then he wiped his head and wiped over his leather socks. Then he came to the Masjid and prayed. Yahya said that Malik was asked whether a man who did Ablution for prayerand then put on his leather socks; and then urinated and took them off and put them back on again; should begin Ablution afresh. Malik replied; He should take off his socks and wash his feet. Only someone who puts on leather socks when his feet are already ritually purified by Ablution can wipe over them. Someone who puts on leather socks when his feet are not ritually purified by Ablution; should not wipe over them. Yahya said that Malik was asked about a man who did Ablution with his leather socks on and forgot to wipe over them until the water was dry and he had prayed; and he said; He should wipe over his socks and repeat the prayer but not repeat Ablution. Malik was asked about a man who washed his feet and put on his leather socks and then started doing Ablution; and he said; He should take off his socks and do Ablution and wash his feet.
