Aban and his companions came to the Prophet ﷺ at Khaibar after the Prophet ﷺ had conquered it; and the reins of their horses were made of the fire of date palm trees. I said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Do not give them a share of the booty. on; that; Aban said to me ; Strange! You suggest such a thing though you are what you are; O guinea pig coming down from the top of AlDal a lotus tree ! Aban Bin Uthman was at that time the Amir of Pilgrims. So he Umar Bin Ubaidullah sent someone as a messenger to Aban saying: I intend to marry Talha Bin Umar and I earnestly desire you to be present there in this ceremony of marriage. Aban said to him: I find you a block-headed Iraqi. I heard Uthman Bin Affan say that Allah Messenger ﷺ said: A Muhrim should not marry. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25506		Nubaih Bin Wahb brother of Banu Abd AlDar said Umar Bin Ubaid Allah sent someone to Aban Bin Uthman Bin Affan asking him to participate in the marriage ceremony. Aban in those days was the chief of the pilgrims and both were in the sacred state wearing ihram. I want to give the daughter of Shaibah Bin Jubair to Talha h Bin Umar in marriage. I wish that you may attend it. Aban refused and said I heard my father Uthman Bin Affan narrating a tradition from the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ as saying A pilgrim may not marry and give someone in marriage in the sacred state while wearing ihram. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-26636		Narrated Imran Ibn Husayn: A woman belonging to the tribe of Juhaynah according to the version of Aban came to the Prophet ﷺ and said that she had committed fornication and that she was pregnant. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ called her guardian. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: Be good to her; and when she bears a child; bring her to me. When she gave birth to the child; he brought her to him. The Prophet ﷺ gave orders regarding her; and her clothes were tied to her. He then commanded regarding her and she was stoned to death. He commanded the people to pray and they prayed over her. Thereupon Umar said: Are you praying over her; Messenger of Allah; when she has committed fornication? He said: By Him in Whose hand my soul is; she has repented to such an extent that if it were divided among the seventy people of Medina; it would have been enough for them all. And what do you find better than the fact that she gave her life. Aban did not say in his version: Then her clothes were tied to her. MuwataMalik-017-001-34816		Malik related to me from Rabia Ibn Abi Abdulrahman that a man in the time of Aban Ibn Uthman amirate freed all of his slaves and did not have other property than them. Aban Ibn Uthman took charge of the slaves and they were divided into three groups. Then he drew lots on the basis that which ever group drew the dead man arrow would be free. MuwataMalik-017-001-34837		Malik related to me from Abdullah Ibn Abi Bakr Ibn Hazm that his father told him that he was sitting with Aban Ibn Uthman; and an argument was brought to him between some people from the Juhayna tribe and some people from the Banu AlHarith Ibn AlKhazraj. A woman of the Juhayna tribe was married to a man from the Banu AlHarith Ibn AlKhazraj; called Ibrahim Ibn Kulayb. She died and left property and mawali; and her son and husband inherited them from her. Then her son died and his heirs said; We have the wala of the mawali. Her son obtained them. Those of the Juhayna said; It is not like that. They are the mawali of our female associate. When her child died; we have their wala and we inherit them. Aban Ibn Uthman gave a judgement that the people from the Juhayna tribe did indeed have the wala of the mawali. Aban told him that he should not do that and said; I heard Uthman Ibn Affan say that the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; A man in ihram should not marry; or give in marriage; or get betrothed.
