SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6662 | Narrated Safwan Bin Yala Bin Umaiya: Yala used to say; I wish I could see Allah Messenger ﷺ at the time when he is being inspired divinely. Yala added While the Prophet ﷺ was at AlJarana; shaded with a cloth sheet in the form of a tent and there were staying with him; some of his companions under it; suddenly there came to him a bedouin wearing a cloak and perfumed extravagantly. He said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! What is your opinion regarding a man who assumes the state of Ihram for Umra wearing a cloak after applying perfume to his body? Umar signalled with his hand to Yala to come near. Yala came and put his head underneath that cloth sheet and saw the Prophet ﷺ red-faced and when that state of the Prophet ﷺ was over; he said; Where is he who as already asked me about the Umra? The man was looked for and brought to the Prophet ﷺ The Prophet ﷺ said to him ; As for the perfume you have applied to your body; wash it off your body thrice; and take off your cloak; and then do in your Umra the rites you do in your Hajj. | The Chapter on Garments And Perfumes in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The Ghazwa of AtTaif in Sahih AlBukhari |

Thereupon he Jabir said: No; it was round and like the sun and the moon. Umm Habiba sent for a perfume having yellowness in it or something else like it; and she applied it to a girl and then rubbed it on her cheeks and then said: By Allah; I need no perfume but for the fact that I heard Allah Messenger ﷺ say on the pulpit: It is not permissible for a woman believing in Allah and the Hereafter to mourn for the dead beyond three days; but in case of the death of the husband it is permissible for four months and ten days. Zainab said: I then visited Zainab hint Jahsh Allah be pleased with her when her brother died and she sent for perfume and applied it and then said: By Allah; I dont feel any need for the perfume but that I heard Allah Messenger ﷺ say on the pulpit: It is not permissible for a woman believing in Allah and the Hereafbler to mourn the dead beyond three days except in case of her husband for whom she can mourn for four months and ten days. Zainab Allah be pleased with her said: I heard my mother Umm Salamah Allah be pleased with her as saying: A woman came to Allah Messenger ﷺ and said: Allah Messenger. Thereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: No repeating it twice or thrice; saying only; NO all the time. Then he said: It is only four mouths and ten days; whereas in the preIslamic period none of you threw away the dung until one year had passed. Humaid said: I said to Zainab: What is this throwing of dung until a year is passed? Zainab said: When the husband of a woman died; she went into a hut and put on her worst clothes; and did not apply perfume or something like it until a year was over. Then an animal like a donkey; or a goat; or a bird was brought to her and she rubbed her hand over it; and it so happened that one on which she rubbed her hand died. She then came out of her house and she was given dung and she threw it and then she made use of anything like perfume or something else as she liked. | The Chapter on Marriage And Kohl And Clothing in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 9 in Sahih Muslim

I replied: It is only the juice of aloes and contains no perfume. He said: It gives the face a glow; so apply it only at night and remove it in daytime; and do not comb yourself with scent or henna; for it is a dye. MuwataMalik-017-001-34798 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdulrahman Ibn AlQasim from his father that a man from Yemen who had his hand and foot cut off came and went before Abu Bakr AlSiddiq and complained to him that the governor of the Yemen had wronged him; and the man used to pray part of the night. Abu Bakr said; By your father; your night is not the night of a thief. Then they missed a necklace of Asma bint Umays; the wife of Abu Bakr AlSiddiq. The man came to go around with them looking for it. He said; O Allah! You are responsible for the one who invaded the people of this good house by night! They found the jewelry with a goldsmith. He claimed that the maimed man had brought it to him. The maimed man confessed or it was testified against him. Abu Bakr AlSiddiq ordered that his left hand be cut off. Abu Bakr said; By Allah! His dua against himself is more serious; as far as I am concerned; than his theft. Yahya said that Malik said; What is done among us about the person who steals several times and is then called to reckoning; is that only his hand is cut off for all he stole when the hadd has not been applied againsthim. If the hadd has been applied against him before that; and he steals what obliges cutting off; then the next limb is cut off. | The Chapter on Body Parts The Hands And Thumbs in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Speech in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-34920 | Malik related to me from Ibn Shihab that Abd AlMalik Ibn Marwan gave a judgment that the rapist had to pay the raped woman her bride- price. Yahya said that he heard Malik say; What is done in our community about the man who rapes a woman; virgin or non-virgin; if she is free; is that he must pay the bride-price of the like of her. If she is a slave; he must pay what he has diminished of her worth. The hadd-punishment in such cases is applied to the rapist; and there is no punishment applied to the raped woman. If the rapist is a slave; that is against his master unless he wishes to surrender him. | The Chapter on Slave Girls And Sexual Intercourse in HodHood Indexing, The Book of The Evil Eye in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-35329 | Malik said that a man who had committed fornication with a woman and the hadd-punishment had been applied to him for it; could marry that woman daughter and his son could marry the woman herself if he wished. That was because he had haram relations with her; and the relations Allah had made haram were from the relations made in a halal manner or in a manner resembling marriage. Allah; the Blessed; the Exalted; said; Do not marry the women your fathers have married. Surat 4 ayat 21 Malik said; If a man were to marry a woman in her idda-period in a halal marriage and have relations with her; it would be haram for his son to marry the woman. That is because the father married her in a halal manner; and the hadd-punishment would not have been applied to him. Any child who was born to him would be attached to him as the father. Just as it would be haram for the son to marry a woman whom his father had married in her idda-period and had relations with; so the woman daughter would be haram for the father if he had had sexual relations with her. | The Chapter on Fragrances And Mother And Daughters in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Game in Muwata Malik |
