SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1269Narrated Abu Qatada: Allah Messenger ﷺ said on the Day of the battle of Hunain; Whoever has killed an infidel and has a proof or a witness for it; then the salb arms and belongings of that deceased will be for him. I stood up to seek a witness to testify that I had killed an infidel but I could not find any witness and then sat down. Then I thought that I should mention the case to Allah Messenger ﷺ I and when I did so a man from those who were sitting with him said; The arms of the killed person he has mentioned; are with me; so please satisfy him on my behalf. Abu Bakr said; No; he will not give the arms to a bird of Quraish and deprive one of Allah lions of it who fights for the cause of Allah and His Apostle. Allah Messenger ﷺ I stood up and gave it to me; and I bought a garden with its price; and that was my first property which I owned through the war booty. The people of Hijaz said; A judge should not pass a judgment according to his knowledge; whether he was a witness at the time he was the judge or before that And if a litigant gives a confession in favor of his opponent in the court; in the opinion of some scholars; the judge should not pass a judgment against him till the latter calls two witnesses to witness his confession. And some people of Iraq said; A judge can pass a judgement according to what he hears or witnesses the litigant confession in the court itself; but if the confession takes place outside the court; he should not pass the judgment unless two witnesses witness the confession. Some of them said; A judge can pass a judgement depending on his knowledge of the case as he is trust-worthy; and that a witness is Required just to reveal the truth. The judge knowledge is more than the witness. Some said; A judge can judge according to his knowledge only in cases involving property; but in other cases he cannot. AlQasim said; A judge ought not to pass a judgment depending on his knowledge if other people do not know what he knows; although his knowledge is more than the witness of somebody else because he might expose himself to suspicion by the Muslims and cause the Muslims to have unreasonable doubt. The Chapter on Worship And Judgment Day in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on If a judge has to witness in favour of a litigant in Sahih AlBukhari

The man said to the Prophet; I want to ask you something and will be hard in questioning. So do not get angry. The Prophet ﷺ said; Ask whatever you want. The man said; I ask you by your Lord; and the Lord of those who were before you; has Allah sent you as an Apostle to all the mankind? The Prophet ﷺ replied; By Allah; yes. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6470Narrated Aisha: Saad was wounded on the day of Khandaq i.e. Trench when a man from Quraish; called Hibban Bin AlAraqa hit him with an arrow. The man was Hibban Bin Qais from the tribe of Bani Mais Bin Amir Bin Louai who shot an arrow at Saad medial arm vein or main artery of the arm. The Prophet ﷺ pitched a tent for Sad in the Masjid so that he might be near to the Prophet ﷺ to visit. When the Prophet returned from the battle of AlKhandaq i.e. Trench and laid down his arms and took a bath Gabriel came to him while he i.e. Gabriel was shaking the dust off his head; and said; You have laid down the arms? By Allah; I have not laid them down. Go out to them to attack them. The Prophet ﷺ said; Where? Gabriel pointed towards Bani Quraidha. So Allah Messenger ﷺ went to them i.e. Banu Quraidha i.e. besieged them. They then surrendered to the Prophet judgment but he directed them to Saad to give his verdict concerning them. Saad said; I give my judgment that their warriors should be killed; their women and children should be taken as captives; and their properties distributed. Narrated Hisham: My father informed me that Aisha said; Saad said; O Allah! You know that there is nothing more beloved to me than to fight in Your Cause against those who disbelieved Your Apostle and turned him out of Mecca. O Allah! I think you have put to an end the fight between us and them i.e. Quraish infidels. And if there still remains any fight with the Quraish infidels ; then keep me alive till I fight against them for Your Sake. But if you have brought the war to an end; then let this wound burst and cause my death thereby. So blood gushed from the wound. There was a tent in the Masjid belonging to Banu Ghifar who were surprised by the blood flowing towards them. They said; O people of the tent! What is this thing which is coming to us from your side? Behold! Blood was flowing profusely out of Saad wound. Saad then died because of that. The Chapter on Almaghazi And Alansar in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The return of the Prophet from Ahzab and his going out to Bani Quraiza in Sahih AlBukhari

A man from the Quraish called Ibn AlAriqah shot at him an arrow which pierced the artery in the middle of his forearm. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ pitched a tent for him in the Masjid and would inquire after him being in close proximity. When he returned from the Ditch and laid down his arms and took a bath; the angel Gabriel appeared to him and he was removing dust from his hair as if he had just returned from the battle. The latter said: You have laid down arms. By God; we havent yet laid them down. So march against them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked: Where? He pointed to Banu Quraidha. So the Messenger of Allah may peace he upon him fought against them. SahihMuslim-017-001-18079It has been narratedon the authority of Abu Ishaq who said: A man asked Bara Bin Azib : Did you run away on the Day of Hunain. O; Abu Umira? He said: No; by Allah; The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not turn his back; what actually happened was that some young men from among his companions; who were hasty and who were either without any arms or did not have abundant arms; advanced and met a party of archers who were so good shots that their arrows never missed the mark. This party of archers belonged to Banu Hawazin and Banu Nadir. They shot at the advancing young men and their arrows were not likely to miss their targets. So these young men turned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was riding on his white mule and Abu Sufyan Bin AlHarith Bin Abd AlMuttalib was leading him. At this he got down from his mule; invoked God help; and called out: I am the Prophet. This is no untruth. I am the son of Abd AlMuttalib. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25985Salamah Bin Kuhail said: Zaid Bin Wahb AlJuhani told us that he was in the army which proceeded to fight with the Khawarij in the company of Ali. Ali then said: O people! I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: there will appear from among my community people who recite the Quran; and your recitation has no comparison with their recitation; and your prayer has no comparison with their prayer; and your fasts have no comparison with their fasts. They will recite the Quran thinking that it is beneficial for them; while it is harmful for them. Their prayer will not pass their collar-bones. They will swerve from Islam as an arrow goes through the animal shot at. If the army that is approaching them knows what reward has been decided for them at the tongue of their Prophet ﷺ ; they would leave other good activities. The sign of that is that among them there will be a man who has an upper arm; but not hand; on his upper arm there will be something like the nipple of a female breast; having white hair thereon. Will you go to Muawiyah and the people of Syria; and leave them behind among your children and property? I swear by Allah; I hope these are the same people; for they shed the blood unlawfully; and attacked the cattle of the people so go on in the name of Allah. Salamah Bin Kuhail said: Zaid Bin Wahb then informed me of all the halting places one by one; saying : Until we passed a bridge. When we fought with each other; Abdullah Bin Wahb AlRasibi; who was the leader of the Khawarij; said to them: Throw away the lances and pull out the swords from their sheaths; for I am afraid they will adjure you as they had adjured on the day of Harura. So they threw away their lances and pulled out their swords; and the people pierced them with their lances. They were killed lying one on the other. On that day only two persons of the partisans of Ali were afflicted. Ali said: Search for the man with the crippled hand. But they could not find him. Then Ali got up himself and went to the people who had been killed and were lying on one another. He said: Take them out. They found him just near the ground. So he shouted: Allah is Most Great! He said: Allah spoke the truth; and His Apostle has conveyed. Ubaidat AlSalmani stood up to him; saying: Commander of the Faithful! Have you heard it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ? He then got up going towards a piece of wood which was placed in the front part of the Masjid. He placed his hands upon it; one on the other; looking from his face as if he were angry. The people came out hastily saying: the prayer has been shortened. Abu Bakr and Umar were among the people; but they were too afraid to speak to him. A man whom the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would call the possessor of arms Dhu AlYadain stood up asking him : Have you forgotten. The Messenger of Allah; or has the prayer been shortened? He said: I have neither forgotten nor has it been shortened. He said : Messenger of Allah ; you have forgotten. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ turned towards the people and asked : did the possessor of arms speak the truth? They made a sign ; that is; yes. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned to his place and prayed the remaining two Rakahs; then gave the salutation; he then uttered the takbir and prostrated himself as usual or prolonged. He then raised his head and uttered the takbir; then he uttered the takbir and made prostration as usual or made longer prostration. Then he raised his head his and uttered the takbir Allah is most great. The narrator Muhammad was asked : Did he give the salutation while prostrating dueto forgetfulness?
