SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1045 | Narrated Anas: The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah will gather the believers on the Day of Resurrection in the same way as they are gathered in this life ; and they will say; Let us ask someone to intercede for us with our Lord that He may relieve us from this place of ours. Then they will go to Adam and say; O Adam! Dont you see the people people condition ? Allah created you with His Own Hands and ordered His angels to prostrate before you; and taught you the names of all the things. Please intercede for us with our Lord so that He may relieve us from this place of ours. Adam will say; I am not fit for this undertaking and mention to them the mistakes he had committed; and add; But you d better go to Noah as he was the first Apostle sent by Allah to the people of the Earth. They will go to Noah who will reply; I am not fit for this undertaking; and mention the mistake which he made; and add; But youd better go to Abraham; Khalil AlRahman. They will go to Abraham who will reply; I am not fit for this undertaking; and mention to them the mistakes he made; and add; But youd better go to Moses; a slave whom Allah gave the Torah and to whom He spoke directly They will go to Moses who will reply; I am not fit for this undertaking; and mention to them the mistakes he made; and add; Youd better go to Jesus; Allah slave and His Apostle and His Word Be: And it was and a soul created by Him. So they will come to me and I will ask the permission of my Lord; and I will be permitted to present myself before Him. When I see my Lord; I will fall down in prostration before Him and He will leave me in prostration as long as He wishes; and then it will be said to me; O Muhammad! Raise your head and speak; for you will be listened to; and ask; for you will be granted your request ; and intercede; for your intercession will be accepted. I will then raise my head and praise my Lord with certain praises which He has taught me; and then I will intercede. Allah will allow me to intercede for a certain kind of people and will fix a limit whom I will admit into Paradise. I will come back again; and when I see my Lord again ; I will fall down in prostration before Him; and He will leave me in prostration as long as He wishes; and then He will say; O Muhammad! Raise your head and speak; for you will be listened to; and ask; for you will be granted your request ; and intercede; for your intercession will be accepted. I will then praise my Lord with certain praises which He has taught me; and then I will intercede. Allah will allow me to intercede for a certain kind of people and will fix a limit to whom I will admit into Paradise. I will come back and say; O my Lord! None remains in Hell Fire but those whom Quran has imprisoned therein and for whom eternity in Hell Fire has become inevitable. The Prophet ﷺ added; There will come out of Hell Fire everyone who says: La ilaha illal-lah; and has in his heart good equal to the weight of a barley grain. Then there will come out of Hell Fire everyone who says: La ilaha illal-lah; and has in his heart good equal to the weight of a wheat grain. You shall meet your Lord and He will ask you about your deeds. Beware! Dont go astray after me by striking the necks of one another. Lo! It is incumbent upon those who are present to inform it to those who are absent for perhaps the informed one might comprehend it understand it better than some of the present audience. Whenever the sub-narrator Muhammad mentioned that statement; he would say; The Prophet ﷺ said the truth. And then the Prophet ﷺ added; No doubt! Havent I conveyed Allah Message to you! No doubt! Behold; Anas was in his palace; and our arrival coincided with his Duha prayer. We asked permission to enter and he admitted us while he was sitting on his bed. We said to Thabit; Do not ask him about anything else first but the Hadith of Intercession. He said; O Abu Hamza! There are your brethren from Basra coming to ask you about the Hadith of Intercession. Anas then said; Muhammad talked to us saying; On the Day of Resurrection the people will surge with each other like waves; and then they will come to Adam and say; Please intercede for us with your Lord. He will say; I am not fit for that but youd better go to Abraham as he is the Khalil of the Beneficent. They will go to Abraham and he will say; I am not fit for that; but youd better go to Moses as he is the one to whom Allah spoke directly. So they will go to Moses and he will say; I am not fit for that; but youd better go to Jesus as he is a soul created by Allah and His Word. Be: And it was they will go to Jesus and he will say; I am not fit for that; but youd better go to Muhammad. They would come to me and I would say; I am for that. Then I will ask for my Lord permission; and it will be given; and then He will inspire me to praise Him with such praises as I do not know now. So I will praise Him with those praises and will fall down; prostrate before Him. Then it will be said; O Muhammad; raise your head and speak; for you will be listened to; and ask; for your will be granted your request ; and intercede; for your intercession will be accepted. I will say; O Lord; my followers! My followers! And then it will be said; Go and take out of Hell Fire all those who have faith in their hearts; equal to the weight of a barley grain. I will go and do so and return to praise Him with the same praises; and fall down prostrate before Him. Then it will be said; O Muhammad; raise your head and speak; for you will be listened to; and ask; for you will be granted your request ; and intercede; for your intercession will be accepted. I will say; O Lord; my followers! My followers! It will be said; Go and take out of it all those who have faith in their hearts equal to the weight of a small ant or a mustard seed. I will go and do so and return to praise Him with the same praises; and fall down in prostration before Him. It will be said; O; Muhammad; raise your head and speak; for you will be listened to; and ask; for you will be granted your request ; and intercede; for your intercession will be accepted. I will say; O Lord; my followers! Then He will say; Go and take out all those in whose hearts there is faith even to the lightest; lightest mustard seed. Take them out of the Fire. I will go and do so. When we left Anas; I said to some of my companions; Let pass by AlHasan who is hiding himself in the house of Abi Khalifa and request him to tell us what Anas Bin Malik has told us. So we went to him and we greeted him and he admitted us. We said to him; O Abu Said! We came to you from your brother Anas Bin Malik and he related to us a Hadith about the intercession the like of which I have never heard. He said; What is that? Then we told him of the Hadith and said; He stopped at this point of the Hadith. He said; What then? We said; He did not add anything to that. SahihMuslim-017-001-19120 | Abu Bakra reported Allah Messenger ﷺ as saying: There would soon be turmoil. Behold! there would be turmoil in which the one who would be seated would be better than one who would stand and the one who would stand would be better than one who would run. Behold! when the turmoil comes or it appears; the one who has camel should stick to his camel and he who has sheep or goat should stick to his sheep and goat and he who has land should stick to the land. A person said: Allah Messenger; what is your opinion about one who has neither camel nor sheep nor land? Thereupon; he said: He should take hold of his sword and beat its edge with the help of stone and then try to find a way of escape. O Allah; I have conveyed Thy Message ; O Allah; I have conveyed Thy Message ; O Allah; I have conveyed Thy Message. A person said: Allah Messenger; what is your opinion if I am drawn to a rank in spite of myself; or in one of the groups and made to march and a man strikes with his sword or there comes an arrow and kills me? Thereupon he said: He will bear the punishment of his sin and that of yours and he would be one amongst the denizens of Hell. | The Chapter on Live Stock And Charity in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 3 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-19253 | Amir Bin Sharahil Shabi Shab Hamdan reported that he asked Fatima; daughter of Qais and sister of AlDahhak Bin Qais and she was the first amongst the emigrant women: Narrate to me a hadith which you had heard directly from Allah Messenger ﷺ and there is no extra link in between them. She said: Very well; if you like; I am prepared to do that; and he said to her: Well; do It and narrate that to me. She said: I married the son of Mughira and he was a chosen young man of Quraish at that time; but he fell as a martyr in the first Jihad fighting on the side of Allah Messenger ﷺ. When I became a widow; Abdulrahman Bin Auf; one amongst the group of the Companions of Allah Messenger ﷺ ; sent me the proposal of marriage. Allah Messenger ﷺ also sent me such a message for his freed slave Usama Bin Zaid. And it had been conveyed to me that Allah Messenger ﷺ had said about Usama : He who loves me should also love Usama. When Allah Messenger ﷺ talked to me about this matter ; I said: My affairs are in your hand. You may marry me to anyone whom you like. He said: You better shift now to the house of Umm Sharik; and Umm Sharik was a rich lady from amongst the Ansar. She spent generously for the cause of Allah and entertained guests very hospitably. I said: Well; I will do as you like. He said: Do not do that for Umm Sharik is a woman who is very frequently visited by guests and I do not like that your head may be uncovered or the cloth may be removed from your shank and the strangers may catch sight of them which you abhor. You better shift to the house of your cousin Abdullah Bin Amr Bin Umm Maktum and he is a person of the Bani Fihr branch of the Quraish; and he belonged to that tribe to which Fatima belonged. So I shifted to that house; and when my period of waiting was over; I heard the voice of an announcer making an announcement that the prayer would be observed in the Masjid where congregational prayer is observed. So I set out towards that Masjid and observed prayer along with Allah Messenger ﷺ and I was in the row of the women which was near the row of men. When Allah Messenger ﷺ had finished his prayer; he sat on the pulpit smiling and said: Every worshipper should keep sitting at his place. He then said: Do you know why I had asked you to assemble? They said: Allah and His Messenger know best. He said: By Allah. I have not made you assemble for exhortation or for a warning; but I have detained you here; for Tamim Dari; a Christian; who came and accepted Islam; told me something; which agrees with what I was telling; you about the Dajjal. He narrated to me that he had sailed in a ship along with thirty men of Bani Lakhm and Bani Judham and had been tossed by waves in the ocean for a month. Then these waves took them near the land within the ocean island at the time of sunset. They sat in a small side-boat and entered that island. There was a beast with long thick hair and because of these they could not distinguish his face from his back. They said: Woe to you; who can you be? Thereupon it said: I am AlJassasa. They said: What is AlJassasa? And it said: O people; go to this person in the monastery as he is very much eager to know about you. He the narrator said: When it named a person for us we were afraid of it lest it should be a devil. Then we hurriedly went on till we came to that monastery and found a well-built person there with his hands tied to his neck and having iron shackles between his two legs up to the ankles. We said: Woe be upon thee; who are you? And he said: You would soon come to know about me. but tell me who are you. We said: We are people from Arabia and we embarked upon a boat but the sea-waves had been driving us for one month and they brought as near this island. We got Into the side-boats and entered this island and here a beast met us with profusely thick hair and because of the thickness of his hair his face could not be distinguished from his back. We said: Woe be to thee; who are you? It said: I am AlJassasa. We said: What is AlJassasa? And it said: You go to this very person in the monastery for he is eagerly waiting for you to know about you. So we came to you in hot haste fearing that that might be the Devil. He that chained person said: Tell me about the date-palm trees of Baisan. We said: About what aspect of theirs do you seek information? He said: I ask you whether these trees bear fruit or not. We said: yes. Thereupon he said: I think these would not bear fruits. He said: Inform me about the lake of Tabariya? We said: Which aspect of it do you want to know? He said: Is there water in it? They said: There is abundance of water in it. Thereupon he said: I think it would soon become dry. He again said: Inform me about the spring of Zughar. They said: Which aspect of it you want to know? He the chained person said: Is there water in it and does it irrigate the land ? We said to him: Yes; there is abundance of water in it and the inhabitants of Medina irrigate land with the help of it; He said: Inform me about the unlettered Prophet; what has he done? We said: He has come out from Mecca and has settled In Yathrib Medina. He said: Do the Arabs fight against him? We said: Yes. He said: How did he deal with them? We informed him that he had overcome those in his neighbourhood and they had submitted themselves before him. Thereupon he said to us: Has it actually happened? We said: Yes. Thereupon he said: If it is so that is better for them that they should show obedience to him. I am going to tell you about myself and I am Dajjal and would be soon permitted to get out and so I shall get out and travel in the land; and will not spare any town where I would not stay for forty nights except Mecca and Medina as these two places are prohibited areas for me and I would not make an attempt to enter any one of these two. An angel with a sword in his hand would confront me and would bar my way and there would be angels to guard every passage leading to it; then Allah Messenger ﷺ striking the pulpit with the help of the end of his staff said: This implies Taiba meaning Medina. Have I not; told you an account of the Dajjal like this? The people said: Yes; and this account narrated by Tamim Dari was liked by me for it corroborates the account which I gave to you in regard to him Dajjal at Medina and Mecca. Behold he Dajjal is in the Syrian sea Mediterranean or the Yemen sea Arabian sea. Nay; on the contrary; he is in the east; he is in the east; he is in the east; and he pointed with his hand towards the east. He would tell us: When one of you intends to do a work; he should offer two supererogatory rakahs of prayer; and then say at the end of the prayer : O Allah; I seek Your choice on the better of the two matters based upon Your knowledge; and I seek Your decree based upon Your power; and I ask You for Your great bounties. For Indeed; You are the One Who Decrees; and I do not decree; and You know; and I do not know; and You are the Knower of the Unseen. O Allah; if you know this; and You are the Knower of the Unseen. O Allah; if you know this - here he should name exactly what he wishes - is better for me with regard to my religion; and my life; and my afterlife; and the end result of my affairs; then decree it to me; and make it easy for me; and bless me on it. He said: By Allah; no. If you had not adjured me about this; I should not have informed you. We find stoning to be prescribed punishment for a fornicator in our Divine Book. But it fornication became frequent in our people of rank; so when we seized a person of rank; we left him alone; and when we seized a weak person; we inflicted the prescribed punishment on him. So we agreed to blacken the face of a criminal with charcoal; and flog him; and we abandoned stoning. He saw that he had some nabidh with him and he was at that moment on the way to Makka. Aslam said to him; Umar Ibn AlKhattab loves this drink. Abdullah Ibn Ayash therefore carried a great drinking bowl and brought it to Umar Ibn AlKhattab and placed it before him. Umar brought it near to him and then raised his head. Umar said; This drink is good; so he drank some of it and then passed it to a man on his right. When Abdullah turned to go; Umar Ibn AlKhattab called him and asked; Are you the person who says that Makka is better than Madina? Abdullah said; I said that it was the Haram of Allah; and His place of security; and His House was in it. Umar said; I am not saying anything about the House of Allah or His Haram. The man said; Abu Abdar-Rahman. These are better than the dirhams which I lent you. Abdullah Ibn Umar said; I know that. But I am happy with myself about that. Malik said; There is no harm in a person who has borrowed gold; silver; food; or animals; taking to the person who lent it; something better than what he lent; when that is not a stipulation between them nor a custom. If that is by a stipulation or promise or custom; then it is disapproved; and there is no good in it. He said; That is because the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; discharged his debt with a good camel in its seventh year in place of a young camel which he borrowed; and Abdullah Ibn Umar borrowed some dirhams; and repaid them with better ones. Abdullah Ibn Umar said; That is usury. Abdullah said; Loans are of three types: A free loan which you lend by which you desire the pleasure of Allah; and so you have the pleasure of Allah. A free loan which you lend by which you desire the pleasure of your companion; so you have the pleasure of your companion; and a free loan which you lend by which you take what is impure by what is pure; and that is usury. He said; What do you order me to do; Abu Abdulrahman He said; I think that you should tear up the agreement. If he gives you the like of what you lent him; accept it. MuwataMalik-017-001-35400 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Suhayl Ibn Abi Salih from his father from Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; Whoever makes an oath and then sees that something else would be better than it; should do kaffara for his oath and do what is better. Yahya said that he heard Malik say; Anyone who says that he has a vow but does not mention the name of Allah; is still obliged to make the kaffara for an oath if he breaks it. Malik said; Emphasis is when a man swears one thing several times; repeating the oath in his speech time after time. For instance; the statement; By Allah; I will not decrease it from such-and-such; sworn three times or more. The kaffara of that is like the kaffara of one oath. If a man swears; I will not eat this food or wear these clothes or enter this house; that is all in one oath; and he is only obliged to do one kaffara. It is the same for a man who says to his wife; You are divorced if I clothe you in this garment or let you go to the Masjid; and it is one entire statement in the normal pattern of speech. If he breaks any of that oath; divorce is necessary; and there is no breaking of oath after that in whatever he does. There is only one oath to be broken in that. Malik said; What we do about a woman who makes a vow without her husband permission is that she is allowed to do so and she must fulfill it; if it only concerns her own person and will not harm her husband. If; however; it will harm her husband; he may forbid her to fulfill it; but it remains an obligation against her until she has the opportunity to complete it. | The Chapter on Oaths And Pledges And Kaffara in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Jihad in Muwata Malik

O Allah; reward me in my misfortune and give me better than it afterwards; Allah will do that for him Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajiun. Allahumma jurniy fi musiybatiy; wa a qibhiy khayran minha; illa faala llahu dhalika bihi.. Umm Salamah said; When Abu Salama died I said that; and then I said; Who is better than Abu Salama? Some men were praying by themselves; whilst others were praying in small groups. Umar said; By Allah! It would be better in my opinion if these people gathered behind one reciter. So he gathered them behind Ubay Ibn Kaab Then I went out with him another night and the people were praying behind their Quran reciter.
