Then Allah Apostle further said; The child is for the owner of the bed; and the stone is for the adulterer; He then said to Sauda bint Zama; Veil screen yourself before him; when he saw the child resemblance to Utba. This boy is the son of my brother; Utba Bin Abi Waqqas who told me to be his custodian as he was his son. Please notice to whom he bears affinity. And Abu Bin Zama said; This is my brother; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! He was born on my father bed by his slave girl. Then the Prophet ﷺ looked at the boy and noticed evident resemblance between him and Utba; so he said; He the toy is for you; O Abu Bin Zama; for the boy is for the owner of the bed; and the stone is for the adulterer. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2880Narrated Ikrima: Rifaa divorced his wife whereupon Abdulrahman Bin AlZubair AlQurazi married her. Aisha said that the lady came ; wearing a green veil and complained to her Aisha of her husband and showed her a green spot on her skin caused by beating. It was the habit of ladies to support each other; so when Allah Messenger ﷺ came; Aisha said; I have not seen any woman suffering as much as the believing women. Look! Her skin is greener than her clothes! When Abdulrahman heard that his wife had gone to the Prophet; he came with his two sons from another wife. She said; By Allah! I have done no wrong to him but he is impotent and is as useless to me as this; holding and showing the fringe of her garment; Abdulrahman said; By Allah; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! She has told a lie! I am very strong and can satisfy her but she is disobedient and wants to go back to Rifaa. Allah Messenger ﷺ said; to her; If that is your intention; then know that it is unlawful for you to remarry Rifaa unless Abdulrahman has had sexual intercourse with you. Then the Prophet ﷺ saw two boys with Abdulrahman and asked him ; Are these your sons? On that Abdulrahman said; Yes. The Prophet ﷺ said; You claim what you claim i.e.. that he is impotent ? SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3769The nephew of Suraqa Bin Jusham said that his father informed him that he heard Suraqa Bin Jusham saying; The messengers of the heathens of Quraish came to us declaring that they had assigned for the persons why would kill or arrest Allah Messenger ﷺ and Abu Bakr; a reward equal to their bloodmoney. While I was sitting in one of the gatherings of my tribe. Bani Mudlij; a man from them came to us and stood up while we were sitting; and said; O Suraqa! No doubt; I have just seen some people far away on the seashore; and I think they are Muhammad and his companions. Suraqa added; I too realized that it must have been they. But I said No; it is not they; but you have seen so-and-so; and so-and-so whom we saw set out. I stayed in the gathering for a while and then got up and left for my home. and ordered my slave-girl to get my horse which was behind a hillock; and keep it ready for me. Then I took my spear and left by the back door of my house dragging the lower end of the spear on the ground and keeping it low. Then I reached my horse; mounted it and made it gallop. When I approached them i.e. Muhammad and Abu Bakr ; my horse stumbled and I fell down from it; Then I stood up; got hold of my quiver and took out the divining arrows and drew lots as to whether I should harm them i.e. the Prophet ﷺ and Abu Bakr or not; and the lot which I disliked came out. But I remounted my horse and let it gallop; giving no importance to the divining arrows. When I heard the recitation of the Quran by Allah Messenger ﷺ who did not look hither and thither while Abu Bakr was doing it often; suddenly the forelegs of my horse sank into the ground up to the knees; and I fell down from it. Then I rebuked it and it got up but could hardly take out its forelegs from the ground; and when it stood up straight again; its fore-legs caused dust to rise up in the sky like smoke. Then again I drew lots with the divining arrows; and the lot which I disliked; came out. So I called upon them to feel secure. They stopped; and I remounted my horse and went to them. When I saw how I had been hampered from harming them; it came to my mind that the cause of Allah Messenger ﷺ i.e. Islam will become victorious. So I said to him; Your people have assigned a reward equal to the bloodmoney for your head. Then I told them all the plans the people of Mecca had made concerning them. Then I offered them some journey food and goods but they refused to take anything and did not ask for anything; but the Prophet ﷺ said; Do not tell others about us. Then I requested him to write for me a statement of security and peace. He ordered Amr Bin Fuhaira who wrote it for me on a parchment; and then Allah Messenger ﷺ proceeded on his way. Narrated Urwa Bin AlZubair: Allah Messenger ﷺ met AlZubair in a caravan of Muslim merchants who were returning from Sham. AlZubair provided Allah Messenger ﷺ and Abu Bakr with white clothes to wear. When the Muslims of Medina heard the news of the departure of Allah Messenger ﷺ from Mecca towards Medina ; they started going to the Harra every morning. They would wait for him till the heat of the noon forced them to return. One day; after waiting for a long while; they returned home; and when they went into their houses; a Jew climbed up the roof of one of the forts of his people to look for some thing; and he saw Allah Messenger ﷺ and his companions dressed in white clothes; emerging out of the desert mirage. The Jew could not help shouting at the top of his voice; O you Arabs! Here is your great man whom you have been waiting for! So all the Muslims rushed to their arms and received Allah Messenger ﷺ on the summit of Harra. The Prophet ﷺ turned with them to the right and alighted at the quarters of Bani Amr Bin Auf; and this was on Monday in the month of Rabi AlAwal. Abu Bakr stood up; receiving the people while Allah Messenger ﷺ sat down and kept silent. Some of the Ansar who came and had not seen Allah Messenger ﷺ before; began greeting Abu Bakr; but when the sunshine fell on Allah Messenger ﷺ and Abu Bakr came forward and shaded him with his sheet only then the people came to know Allah Messenger ﷺ. Allah Messenger ﷺ stayed with Bani Amr Bin Auf for ten nights and established the Masjid Masjid of Quba which was founded on piety. Allah Messenger ﷺ prayed in it and then mounted his camel and proceeded on; accompanied by the people till his camel knelt down at the place of the Masjid of Allah Messenger ﷺ at Medina. Some Muslims used to pray there in those days; and that place was a yard for drying dates belonging to Suhail and Sahl; the orphan boys who were under the guardianship of Asad Bin Zurara. When his camel knelt down; Allah Messenger ﷺ said; This place; Allah willing; will be our abiding place. Allah Messenger ﷺ then called the two boys and told them to suggest a price for that yard so that he might take it as a Masjid. The two boys said; No; but we will give it as a gift; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Allah Messenger ﷺ then built a Masjid there. The Prophet ﷺ himself started carrying unburnt bricks for its building and while doing so; he was saying This load is better than the load of Khaibar; for it is more pious in the Sight of Allah and purer and better rewardable. He was also saying; O Allah! The actual reward is the reward in the Hereafter; so bestow Your Mercy on the Ansar and the Emigrants. Thus the Prophet ﷺ recited by way of proverb the poem of some Muslim poet whose name is unknown to me. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4040Narrated Abdulrahman Bin Auf: While I was standing in the row on the day of the battle of Badr; I looked to my right and my left and saw two young Ansari boys; and I wished I had been stronger than they. One of them called my attention saying; O Uncle! Do you know Abu Jahl? I said; Yes; What do you want from him; O my nephew? He said; I have been informed that he abuses Allah Messenger ﷺ. By Him in Whose Hands my life is; if I should see him; then my body will not leave his body till either of us meet his fate. I was astonished at that talk. Then the other boy called my attention saying the same as the other had said. After a while I saw Abu Jahl walking amongst the people. I said to the boys ; Look! This is the man you asked me about. So; both of them attacked him with their swords and struck him to death and returned to Allah Apostle to inform him of that. Allah Messenger ﷺ asked; Which of you has killed him? Each of them said; I Have killed him. Allah Messenger ﷺ asked; Have you cleaned your swords? They said; No. He then looked at their swords and said; No doubt; you both have killed him and the spoils of the deceased will be given to Muadh Bin Amr Bin AlJamuh. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4196Narrated Saeed Bin Jubair: I said to Ibn Abbas; Nauf AlBukah claims that Moses; the companion of AlKhadir was not Moses the prophet of the children of Israel; but some other Moses. Ibn Abbas said; Allah enemy i.e. Nauf has told a lie. Ubai Bin Kaab told us that the Prophet ﷺ said; Once Moses stood up and addressed Bani Israel. He was asked who was the most learned man amongst the people. He said; I. Allah admonished him as he did not attribute absolute knowledge to Him Allah. So; Allah said to him; Yes; at the junction of the two seas there is a Slave of Mine who is more learned than you. Moses said; O my Lord! How can I meet him? Allah said; Take a fish and put it in a large basket and you will find him at the place where you will lose the fish. Moses took a fish and put it in a basket and proceeded along with his servant boy; Yusha Bin Noon; till they reached the rock where they laid their heads i.e. lay down. Moses slept; and the fish; moving out of the basket; fell into the sea. It took its way into the sea straight as in a tunnel. Allah stopped the flow of water over the fish and it became like an arch the Prophet ﷺ pointed out this arch with his hands. They travelled the rest of the night; and the next day Moses said to his boy servant ; Give us our food; for indeed; we have suffered much fatigue in this journey of ours. Moses did not feel tired till he crossed that place which Allah had ordered him to seek after. His boy servant said to him; Do you know that when we were sitting near that rock; I forgot the fish; and none but Satan caused me to forget to tell you about it; and it took its course into the sea in an amazing way?. So there was a path for the fish and that astonished them. Moses said; That was what we were seeking after. So; both of them retraced their footsteps till they reached the rock. There they saw a man Lying covered with a garment. Moses greeted him and he replied saying; How do people greet each other in your land? Moses said; I am Moses. The man asked; Moses of Bani Israel? Moses said; Yes; I have come to you so that you may teach me from those things which Allah has taught you. He said; O Moses! I have some of the Knowledge of Allah which Allah has taught me; and which you do not know; while you have some of the Knowledge of Allah which Allah has taught you and which I do not know. Moses asked; May I follow you? He said; But you will not be able to remain patient with me for how can you be patient about things which you will not be able to understand? Moses said; You will find me; if Allah so will; truly patient; and I will not disobey you in aught. So; both of them set out walking along the sea-shore; a boat passed by them and they asked the crew of the boat to take them on board. The crew recognized AlKhadir and so they took them on board without fare. When they were on board the boat; a sparrow came and stood on the edge of the boat and dipped its beak once or twice into the sea. AlKhadir said to Moses; O Moses! My knowledge and your knowledge have not decreased Allah Knowledge except as much as this sparrow has decreased the water of the sea with its beak. Then suddenly AlKhadir took an adze and plucked a plank; and Moses did not notice it till he had plucked a plank with the adze. Moses said to him; What have you done? They took us on board charging us nothing; yet you I have intentionally made a hole in their boat so as to drown its passengers. Verily; you have done a dreadful thing. AlKhadir replied; Did I not tell you that you would not be able to remain patient with me? Moses replied; Do not blame me for what I have forgotten; and do not be hard upon me for my fault. So the first excuse of Moses was that he had forgotten. When they had left the sea; they passed by a boy playing with other boys. AlKhadir took hold of the boys head and plucked it with his hand like this. Sufyan; the sub narrator pointed with his fingertips as if he was plucking some fruit. Moses said to him; Have you killed an innocent person who has not killed any person? You have really done a horrible thing. AlKhadir said; Did I not tell you that you could not remain patient with me? Moses said If I ask you about anything after this; dont accompany me. You have received an excuse from me. Then both of them went on till they came to some people of a village; and they asked its inhabitant for wood but they refused to entertain them as guests. Then they saw therein a wall which was just going to collapse and AlKhadir repaired it just by touching it with his hands. Sufyan; the sub-narrator; pointed with his hands; illustrating how AlKhadir passed his hands over the wall upwards. Moses said; These are the people whom we have called on; but they neither gave us food; nor entertained us as guests; yet you have repaired their wall. If you had wished; you could have taken wages for it. AlKhadir said; This is the parting between you and me; and I shall tell you the explanation of those things on which you could not remain patient. The Prophet ﷺ added; We wished that Moses could have remained patient by virtue of which Allah might have told us more about their story. Sufyan the sub-narrator said that the Prophet ﷺ said; May Allah bestow His Mercy on Moses! The person who had bought the land said to the seller of the land : Take your gold from me; for I bought only the land from you and not the gold. The man who had sold the land said: I sold the land to you and whatever was in it. They referred the matter to a person. One who was made as a judge said to them: Have you any issue? SahihMuslim-017-001-18032It has been narrated on the authority of Abdulrahman Bin Auf who said: While I was standing in the battle array on the Day of Badr; I looked towards my right and my left; and found myself between two boys from the Ansar quite young in age. I wished I were between stronger persons. One of them made a sign to me and. said: Uncle; do you recognise Abu Jahl? 1 said: Yes. What do you want to do with him; O my nephew? He said: I have been told that he abuses the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. By Allah; in Whose Hand is my life; if I see him I will grapple with him and will not leave him until one of us who is destined to die earlier is killed. The narrator said: I wondered at this. Then the other made a sign to me and said similar words. Soon after I saw Abu Jahl. He was moving about among men. I said to the two boys: Dont you see? He is the man you were inquiring about. As soon as they heard this ; they dashed towards him; struck him with their swords until he was killed. Then they returned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and informed him to this effect. He asked: Which of you has killed him? Each one of them said: I have killed him. He said: Have you wiped your swords? They said: No. He examined their swords and said: Both of you have killed him. He then decided that the belongings of Abu Jahl he handed over to Muadh Bin Amr Bin AlJamuh. SahihMuslim-017-001-19019Suhaib reported that Allah Messenger ﷺ thus said: There lived a king before you and he had a court magician. As he the magician grew old; he said to the king: I have grown old; send some young boy to me so that I should teach him magic. He the king sent to him a young man so that he should train him in magic. And on his way to the magician he the young man found a monk sitting there. He the young man listened to his the monks talk and was impressed by it. It became his habit that on his way to the magician he met the monk and set there and he came to the magician late. He the magician beat him because of delay. He made a complaint of that to the monk and he said to him: When you feel afraid of the magician; say: Members of my family had detained me. And when you feel afraid of your family you should say: The magician had detained me. It so happened that there came a huge beast of prey and it blocked the way of the people; and he the young boy said: I will come to know today whether the magician is superior or the monk is superior. He picked up a stone and said: O Allah; if the affair of the monk is dearer to Thee than the affair of the magician; cause death to this animal so that the people should be able to move about freely. He threw that stone towards it and killed it and the people began to move about on the path freely. He the young man then came to that monk and Informed him and the monk said: Sonny; today you are superior to me. Your affair has come to a stage where I find that you would be soon put to a trial; and in case you are put to a trial dont give my clue. That young man began to treat the blind and those suffering from leprosy and he in fact began to cure people from all kinds of illness. When a companion of the king who had gone blind heard about him; he came to him with numerous gifts and said: If you cure me all these things collected together here would be yours. Be said: I myself do not cure anyone. It is Allah Who cures and if you affirm faith in Allah; I shall also supplicate Allah to cure you. He affirmed his faith in Allah and Allah cured him and he came to the king and sat by his side as he used to sit before. The king said to him: Who restored your eyesight? He said: My Lord. Thereupon he said: It means that your Lord is One besides me. He said: My Lord and your Lord is Allah; so he the king took hold of him and tormented him till he gave a clue of that boy. The young man was thus summoned and the king said to him: O boy; it has been conveyed to me that you have become so much proficient in your magic that you cure the blind and those suffering from leprosy and you do such and such things. Thereupon he said: I do not cure anyone; it is Allah Who cures; and he the king took hold of him and began to torment him. So he gave a clue of the monk. The monk was thus summoned and it was said to him: You should turn back from your religion. He; however; refused to do so. He ordered for a saw to be brought and when it was done he the king placed it in the middle of his head and tore it into parts till a part fell down. Then the courtier of the king was brought and it was said to him: Turn back from your religion. Arid he refused to do so; and the saw was placed in the midst of his head and it was torn till a part fell down. Then that young boy was brought and it was said to him: Turn back from your religion. He refused to do so and he was handed over to a group of his courtiers. And he said to them: Take him to such and such mountain; make him climb up that mountain and when you reach its top ask him to renounce his faith but if he refuses to do so; then throw him down the mountain. So they took him and made him climb up the mountain and he said: O Allah; save me from them in any way Thou likest and the mountain began to quake and they all fell down and that person came walking to the king. The king said to him: What has happened to your companions? He said: Allah has saved me from them. He again handed him to some of his courtiers and said: Take him and carry him in a small boat and when you reach the middle of the ocean ask him to renounce his religion; but if he does not renounce his religion throw him into the water. So they took him and he said: O Allah; save me from them and what they want to do. It was quite soon that the boat turned over and they were drowned and he came walking to the king; and the king said to him: What has happened to your companions? He said: Allah has saved me from them; and he said to the king: You cannot kill me until you do what I ask you to do. And he said: What is that? He said: You should gather people in a plain and hang me by the trunk of a tree. Then take hold of an arrow from the quiver and say: In the name of Allah; the Lord of the young boy; then shoot an arrow and if you do that then you would be able to kill me. So he the king called the people in an open plain and tied him the boy to the trunk of a tree; then he took hold of an arrow from his quiver and then placed the arrow in the bow and then said: In the name of Allah; the Lord of the young boy; he then shot an arrow and it bit his temple. He the boy placed his hands upon the temple where the arrow had bit him and he died and the people said: We affirm our faith in the Lord of this young man; we affirm our faith in the Lord of this young man; we affirm our faith in the Lord of this young man. The courtiers came to the king and it was said to him: Do you see that Allah has actually done what you aimed at averting. They the people have affirmed their faith in the Lord. He the king commanded ditches to be dug at important points in the path. When these ditches were dug; and the fire was lit in them it was said to the people : He who would not turn back from his boys religion would be thrown in the fire or it would be said to them to jump in that. SahihMuslim-017-001-20169Saeed Bin jubair reported: I said to Ibn Abbas that Nauf AlBikali was of the opinion that Moses ﷺ ; the Apostle of Bani Israil; was not the same who accompanied Khadir; whereupon he said: The enemy of Allah tells a lie. I heard Ubay Bin Kaab say: Moses ﷺ stood up to give sermon to the people of Israil. He was asked as to who amongst the people has the best knowledge; whereupon he said: I have the best knowledge. Thereupon Allah was annoyed with him that he did not attribute the best knowledge to Him. He revealed to him: A servant amongst My servants is at the junction of two rivers who has more knowledge than yours. Moses said: How can I meet him? It was said to him: Carry a fish in the large basket and the place where you find it missing there you will find him. Thereupon Moses proceeded forth along with a young man Yusha. Joshua Bin Nan and Moses ﷺ put the fish in the basket and there went along with him the young man Yusha until they came to a certain rock and Moses and his companion went to sleep and the fish stirred in that basket and fell into the ocean and Allah stopped the current of water like a vault until the way was made for the fish. Moses and his youn. companion were astonished and they walked for the rest of the day and the night and the friend of Moses forgot to inform him of this incident. When it was morning; Moses ﷺ said to the young man: Bring for us the breakfast for we are dead tired because of this journey; and they did not feel exhausted until they had passed that place where they had been commanded to stay. He said: Dont you know that when we reached the Sakhra rock I forgot the fisii and noth ng made me forget it but the satan that I. could nit remember it? How strange is it that the fish found a way in the river? Moses said: That was what we had been aiming at. Then both of them retraced their steps until they reached Sakhra; there they saw a man covered with a cloth. Moses greeted him. Khadir said to him: Where is AlSalam in our country.? He said: I am Moses; whereupon he Khadir said: You mean the Moses of Bani Israil? He said: Yes. He Khadir said: You have a knowledge out of the knowledge of Allah which in fact Allah imparted to you and about that I know nothing and I have knowledge out of Allah knowledge which He imparted to me and about that you do not know. Moses ﷺ said to him: May I follow you so that you may teach me that with which you have been taught righteousness. He said: You will not be able to bear with me; how you will be able to bear that about which you do not know? Moses said: Thou wilt find me patient; nor shalt I disobey you in aught. Khadir said to him: If you were to follow me; then do not ask me about anything until I myself speak to you about it. He said: Yes. So Khadir and Moses set forth on the bank of the river that there came before them a boat. Both of theni talked to them the owners of the boat so that they might carry both of them. They had recognised Khadir and they carried them free. Khadir thereupon took hold of a plank in the boat and broke it away. Moses said: These people have carried us without any charge and you attempt to break their boat so that the people sailing in the boat may drown. This is something grievous that you have done. He said: Did I not say that you would not bear with me? He said: Blame me not for what I forgot and be not hard upon what I did. Then both of them got down from the boat and began to walk along the coastline that they saw a boy who had been playing with other boys. Khadir pulled up his head and killed him. Moses said: Have you killed an innocent person who is in no way guilty of slaying another? You have done something horrible. Thereupon he said: Did I not say to you that you will not be able to bear with me? He Moses said: This act is more grievous than the first one. He Moses further said. If I ask you about anything after this; keep not company with me; then you would no doubt find a plausible excuse for this. Then they both walked on until they reached the inhabitants of a village. They asked its inhabitants for food but they refused to entertain them as their guests. They found in it a wall which had been bent on one side and was about to fall. Khadir set it right with his own hand. Moses; said to him: It is the people to whom we came but they showed us no hospitality and they did not serve us food. If you wish you can get wages for it. He Khadir said: This is the parting of ways between mt and you. Now I wish to reveal to you the significance of that for which you could not bear with me. Allah Messenger ﷺ said. May Allah have mercy upon Moses! I wish if Moses could show patience and a fuller story of both of them could have been told. Allah Messenger ﷺ said that the first thing which Moses said was out of forgetfulness. Then there came a sparrow until it perched on the wall of the boat and took water from the ocean. Then a boy shall be born to them; having one eye in which there is some defect; providing little use. His eyes sleep but his heart does not sleep. Then the Messenger of Allah s.a.w described his parents for us: His father is tall; with little fat; with a nose as if it were a beak. His mother is a bulky woman with long breasts. So Abu Bakrah said: I heard about a child being born to some Jews in AlMadinah. So AlZubair Bin AlAwam and I went until we entered upon his parents. They appeared as the Messenger of Allah s.a.w had described them. We said: Do you have any children? They said: We remained for thirty years without any children being born to us; then we bore a boy; having one eye in which there is some defect; providing little use. He uncovered his head and said: What were you saying? We said: Did you hear what we were saying? He did not realize until the Messenger of Allah s.a.w struck him with his hand on his back; then he said: Do you testify that I am the Messenger of Allah? Ibn Abbas wrote to him: You wrote to me asking me if the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would fight along with women. He did fight along with them; as they would treat the wounded. They received something from the spoils of war; but as for their share; then he did not fix a share for them.There is something on this topic from Anas and Umm Atiyah.This Hadith isHassan Sahih. There was a man among those who came before you who was a devoted worshipper. An immoral woman fell in love with him. She sent her slave girl to him; saying: We are calling you to bear witness. So he set out with her slave girl; and every time he entered a door; she locked it behind him; until he reached a beautiful woman who has with her a boy and a vessel of wine. She said: By Allah; I did not call you to bear witness; rather I called you to have intercourse with me; or to drink a cup of this wine; or to kill this boy. He said: Pour me a cup of this wine. So she poured him a cup. He said: Give me more. And soon he had intercourse with her and killed the boy. Ali went out and found a dinar in the market. He then came to Fatima and told her about it. She said: Go to such and such a Jew and get some flour for us. He came to the Jew and purchased flour with it. He said : Are you the son-in-law of him who believes that he is the Messenger of Allah. He said : Yes. The Jew said : Have your dinar with you and you will get the flour. Ali then went out and came to Fatima. He told her about the matter. She then said: Go to such and such a butcher and get some meat for us for a dirham. Ali went out and pawned the dinar for a dirham with him and got the meat; and brought it to her. She then kneaded the flour; put the utensil on fire and baked the bread. She sent for her father : i.e. the Prophet SWAS. He came to them. She said to him : Messenger of Allah; I tell you all the matter. If you think it is lawful for us; we shall eat it and you will eat with us. She said: The matter is such and such. He said: eat in the name of Allah. So they ate it. While they were eating at their place; a boy cried adguring in the name of Allah and Islam: He was searching the dinar. The Messenger of Allah SWAS commanded and he was called in. He asked him. The boy replied; I lost it somewhere in the market. The Prophet SWAS said : Ali; go to the butcher and tell him that the Messenger of Allah SWAS has asked you : send the dinar to me and one dirham of yours will be due on me. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-26638Buraidah said: A woman of Ghamid came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: I have committed fornication. He said: Go back. She returned; and on the next day she came to him again; and said: Perhaps you want to send me back as you did to Maiz Bin Malik. I swear by Allah; I am pregnant. He said to her: Go back. She then returned and came to him the next day. He said to her: Go back until you give birth to a child. She then returned. When she gave birth to a child; she brought the child to him; and said: Here it is! I have given birth to it. He said: Go back; and suckle him until you wean him. When she had weaned him; she brought him the boy to him with something in his hand which he was eating. The boy was then given to a certain man of the Muslims and he the Prophet commanded regarding her. So a pit was dug for her; and he gave orders about her and she was stoned to death. Khalid was one of those who were throwing stones at her. He threw a stone at her. When a drop blood fell on his cheeks; he abused her. The Prophet ﷺ said to him: Gently; Khalid. She was the grandmother of their father. She reported to them; saying: We came upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. My companion; Hurayth Ibn Hassan; came to him as a delegate from Bakr Ibn Wail. He took the oath of allegiance of Islam for himself and for his people. He then said: Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; write a document for us; giving us the land lying between us and Banu Tamim at AlDahna to the effect that not one of them will cross it in our direction except a traveller or a passer-by. He said: Write down AlDahna for them; boy. When I saw that he passed orders to give it to him; I became anxious; for it was my native land and my home. I said: Messenger of Allah; he did not ask you for a true border when he asked you. This land of Dahna is a place where the camels have their home; and it is a pasture for the sheep. MuwataMalik-017-001-34887Malik related to me from Yahya Ibn Said from Abu Bakr Ibn Hazm that a boy from Ghassan was dying in Madina while his heir was in Syria. That was mentioned to Umar Ibn AlKhattab. It was said to him; So-and-so is dying. Shall he make a bequest? He said; Let him make a bequest. Yahya Ibn Said said that Abu Bakr had said; He was a boy of ten or twelve years. Yahya said; He willed the well of Jusham; and his people sold it for 30;000 dirhams. Yahya said that he heard Malik say; The generally agreed-on way of doing things in our community is that a simpleton; an idiot; or a lunatic who recovers at times; can make wills if they have enough of their wits about them to recognise what they will.
