SahihAlBukhari-017-001-345Narrated Anas: Allah Messenger ﷺ I was delivering the Khutba sermon on a Friday when the people stood up; shouted and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! There is no rain drought ; the trees have dried and the livestock are destroyed; Please pray to Allah for rain. So Allah Messenger ﷺ said twice; O Allah! Bless us with rain. By Allah; there was no trace of cloud in the sky and suddenly the sky became overcast with clouds and it started raining. The Prophet ﷺ came down the pulpit and offered the prayer. When he came back from the prayer to his house it was raining and it rained continuously till the next Friday. When the Prophet started delivering the Friday Khutba sermon ; the people started shouting and said to him; The houses have collapsed and the roads are cut off; so please pray to Allah to withhold the rain. So the Prophet ﷺ smiled and said; O Allah! Round about us and not on us. So the sky became clear over Medina but it kept on raining over the outskirts of Medina and not a single drop of rain fell over Median. I looked towards the sky which was as bright and clear as a crown. The Chapter on Rain And Clouds And Friday Khutba in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on To say Around us and not on us when it rains excessively in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4098Narrated Jabir Bin Abdullah AlAnsari: My father was martyred on the day of the Ghazwa of Uhud and left six daughters and some debts to be paid. When the time of plucking the date-fruits came; I went to Allah Messenger ﷺ and said; O Allah Apostle! you know that my father was martyred on Uhud day and owed much debt; and I wish that the creditors would see you. The Prophet ﷺ said; Go and collect the various kinds of dates and place them separately in heaps I did accordingly and called him. On seeing him; the creditors started claiming their rights pressingly at that time. When the Prophet ﷺ saw how they behaved; he went round the biggest heap for three times and sat over it and said; Call your companions i.e. the creditors. Then he kept on measuring and giving them; till Allah cleared all my father debts. By Allah; it would have pleased me that Allah would clear the debts of my father even though I had not taken a single date to my sisters. But by Allah; all the heaps were complete; as they were and I looked at the heap where Allah Messenger ﷺ was sitting and noticed as if not a single date had been taken thereof. The Chapter on Debt And Creditors The Companions in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The payments of the debts of the deceased in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4199Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; The Prophet Moses was a shy person and used to cover his body completely because of his extensive shyness. One of the children of Israel hurt him by saying; He covers his body in this way only because of some defect in his skin; either leprosy or scrotal hernia; or he has some other defect. Allah wished to clear Moses of what they said about him; so one day while Moses was in seclusion; he took off his clothes and put them on a stone and started taking a bath. When he had finished the bath; he moved towards his clothes so as to take them; but the stone took his clothes and fled; Moses picked up his stick and ran after the stone saying; O stone! Give me my garment! Till he reached a group of Bani Israel who saw him naked then; and found him the best of what Allah had created; and Allah cleared him of what they had accused him of. The stone stopped there and Moses took and put his garment on and started hitting the stone with his stick. By Allah; the stone still has some traces of the hitting; three; four or five marks. This was what Allah refers to in His Saying:- O you who believe! Be you not like those Who annoyed Moses; But Allah proved his innocence of that which they alleged; And he was honorable In Allah Sight. 33.69The Chapter on Moses And Prophets Stone And Bani Isreal in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Prophets in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-476Narrated Fatima bint AlMundhir: Asma bint Abi Bakr AlSiddiq said; I went to Aisha and the people were offering Prayer. I asked her; What is wrong with the people ? She pointed towards the sky with her head. I asked her; Is there a sign ? Aisha nodded with her head meaning Yes. Asma added; Allah Messenger ﷺ prolonged the Prayer to such an extent that I fainted. There was a waterskin by my side and I opened it and poured some water on my head. When Allah Messenger ﷺ finished Prayer; and the solar eclipse had cleared; the Prophet ﷺ addressed the people and praised Allah as He deserves and said; Amma badu. Asma further said; Some Ansari women started talking; so I turned to them in order to make them quiet. I asked Aisha what the Prophet ﷺ had said. Aisha said: He said; I have seen things at this place of mine which were never shown to me before; I have seen even Paradise and Hell. And; no doubt it has been revealed to me that you people will be put in trial in your graves like or nearly like the trial of Masih AlDajjal. The angels will come to everyone of you and ask him; What do you know about this man Prophet Muhammad ﷺ ? The faithful believer or firm believer Hisham was in doubt which word the Prophet ﷺ used ; will say; He is Allah Messenger ﷺ and he is Muhammad ﷺ who came to us with clear evidences and guidance. So we believed him; accepted his teachings and followed and trusted his teaching. Then the angels will tell him to sleep in peace as they have come to know that he was a believer. But the hypocrite or a doubtful person Hisham is not sure as to which word the Prophet ﷺ used ; will be asked what he knew about this man Prophet Muhammed ﷺ. He will say; I do not know but I heard the people saying something about him so I said the same Hisham added; Fatima told me that she remembered that narration completely by heart except that she said about the hypocrite or a doubtful person that he will be punished severely. The Chapter on Praise And Glory To Allah In Prostration in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Saying Ammabadu in the Khutba in Sahih AlBukhari

While the Prophet ﷺ was delivering the Khutba on a Friday; a Bedouin stood up and said; O; Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Our possessions are being destroyed and the children are hungry; Please invoke Allah for rain. So the Prophet ﷺ raised his hands. At that time there was not a trace of cloud in the sky. By Him in Whose Hands my soul is as soon as he lowered his hands; clouds gathered like mountains; and before he got down from the pulpit; I saw the rain falling on the beard of the Prophet. It rained that day; the next day; the third day; the fourth day till the next Friday. The same Bedouin or another man stood up and said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! The houses have collapsed; our possessions and livestock have been drowned; Please invoke Allah to protect us. So the Prophet ﷺ raised both his hands and said; O Allah! Round about us and not on us. He says that a smoke would come to the people on the Day of Resurrection anl it will withhold breath and they would be inflicted with cold. Abdullah said: He who has knowledge should say something and he who has no knowledge should simply say: Allah is best aware. The fact is that when the Quraish disobeyed Allah Apostle ﷺ he supplicated Allah that they should be afflicted with famine and starvation as was done in case of Yousif. And they were so much hard pressed that a person would ace the sky and he would see between him and the sky something like smoke and they were so much hard pressed that they began to cat the bones; and a person came to Allah Apostle ﷺ and said: Allah Messenger. seek forgiveness for the tribe of Mudar for its people have been undone. It was upon this that this verse was revealed: We shall remove the chastisement a little; but they will surely return to evil xliv. 15. lie the narrator said: There was a downpoor of rain upon them. When there was some relief for them they returned to the same position as they had been before; and Allah; the Exalted and Glorious; revealed this verse: So wait for the day when the heaven brings a clear smoke enveloping people. So whoever leaves it to protect his religion and his honor; then he will be safe; and whoever falls into something from them; then he soon will have fallen into the unlawful. Just like if someone grazes his animals around a sanctuary; he would soon wind up in it. Indeed for every king is a sanctuary pasture ; and indeed Allah sanctuary is what He made unlawful. The Chapter on Agriculture In The Sanctuary Of Makkah in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on What Has Been Related About Matters That Are Not Clear in Sunan AlTermithi

SunanAlNasai-017-001-12417It was narrated that Abdulrahman Bin Yazid said: The people asked Abdullah too many questions one day; and Abdullah said: There was a time when we did not pass so many judgments; but now that time is over. Now Allah; the Mighty and Sublime; has decreed that we reach a time when; as you see; we are asked to pass many judgments. Whoever among you is asked to pass a judgment after this day; let him pass judgment according to what is in the Book of Allah. If he is faced with a matter that is not mentioned in the Book of Allah; let him pass judgment according to the way His Prophet SAWSYMOBOL passed judgment. If he is faced with a matter that is not mentioned in the Book of Allah and concerning which His Prophet did not pass judgment; then let him pass judgment according to the way the righteous passed judgment. If he is faced with a matter that is not mentioned in the Book of Allah; and concerning which His Prophet and the righteous did not pass judgment; then let him strive to work it out; and let him not say I am afraid; I am afraid. For that which is lawful is clear and that which is unlawful is clear; and between them are matters which are not as clear. SunanAlNasai-017-001-12769It was narrated from Umar that: When the prohibition of Khamr was revealed; Umar said: O Allah; give us a clear ruling on Khamr; and the Verse in AlBaqarah was revealed. Umar was called and it was recited to him. Then Umar said: O Allah; give us a clear ruling on Khamr; and the Verse in AlNisa was revealed: O you who believe! Approach not AlSalah the prayer when you are in a drunken state. And when the Iqamah for prayer was said; the caller of the Messenger of Allah SAWSYMOBOL would cry out: O you who believe! Approach not AlSalah the prayer when you are in a drunken state. Umar was called and this was recited to him. Then he said: O Allah; give us a clear ruling on Khamr. Then the Verse in Surat AlMaidah was revealed; and Umar was called; and it was recited to him. SunanAlNasai-017-001-12940It was narrated that AlNuman Bin Bashir said: I heard the Messenger of Allah SAWSYMOBOL say: That which is lawful is clear and that which is unlawful is clear; but between them there are matters which are doubtful. And sometimes he said: But between them are matters that are not as clear. I will describe the likeness of that for you. Allah; the Mighty and Sublime; has a sanctuary and the sanctuary of Allah is that which He has forbidden. Whoever grazes around the sanctuary will soon transgress into the sanctuary. I will strike a parable for you about that: indeed Allah; the Mighty and Sublime; has established a sanctuary; and the sanctuary of Allah is that which He has forbidden. SunanAlNasai-017-001-14332Jabir Bin Abdullah narrated that his father was martyred on the Day of Uhud; and he left behind six daughters; and some outstanding debts. When the time to pick the dates came; I went to the Messenger of Allah and said: You know that my father was martyred on the Day of Uhud and he left behind a great deal of debt. I would like the creditors to see you. He said: Go and pile up the dates in separate heaps. I did that; then I called him. When they saw him; it was as if they started to put pressure on me at that time. When he saw what they were doing; he went around the biggest heap three times; then he sat on it then said: Call your companions the creditors. Then he kept on weighing them out for them; until Allah cleared all my father debts. SunanAlNasai-017-001-14592It was narrated from AlJad Bin Abi Uthman; that Anas Bin Malik said: The Messenger of Allah got married and consummated the marriage with his wife. He said: My mother Umm Sulaim made some Hais; and I brought it to the Messenger of Allah and said: My mother sends you greetings of Salam; and says to you: This is a little from us. He said: Put it down. Then he said: Go and call so-and-so; and so-and-so; and whoever you meet; and he named some men. So I called those whom he named and those whom I met. I said to Anas: How many were they? He said: About three hundred. Then the Messenger of Allah said: Let them sit around the dish of food in groups of ten; one after the other; and let each person eat from what is closest to him. They ate until they were full; then one group went out and another group came in. He said to me: O Anas; clear it away. SunanAlNasai-017-001-15039Umm Hakim bint Aasi d narrated from her mother that her husband died and she had a problem in her eye; so she applied kohl to clear her eyes. She sent a freed slave woman of hers to Umm Salamah to ask her about using kohl to clear her eyes. She said: Do not use kohl unless it cannot be avoided. The Messenger of Allah entered upon me when Abu Salamah died and I had put some aloe juice on my eyes. He said: What is this; O Umm Salamah? I said: It is aloe juice; O Messenger of Allah; there is no perfume in it. He said: It makes the face look bright; so only use it at night; and do not comb your hair with perfume or henna; for it is a dye. I said: With what can I comb it; O Messenger of Allah? SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-28819Narrated AlNuman Bin Bashir: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: What is lawful is clear and what is unlawful is clear; but between them are certain doubtful things. I give you an example for this. Allah has a preserve; and Allah preserve is the things He has declared unlawful. He who pastures his animals round the preserve will soon fall into it. He who falls into doubtful things will soon be courageous. The Chapter on Communication The Prophet Asking The Companions in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Regarding Avoiding Things That One Doubts in Sunan Abu Dawoud

MuwataMalik-017-001-34817Malik related to me that he heard Ibn Shihab say; The precedent of the sunna is that when a slave is freed; his property follows him. Malik said; One thing which makes clear that the property of a slave follows him when he is freed is that when the contract mukatab is written for his freedom; his property follows him even if he did not stipulate it. That is because the bond of kitaba is the bond of wala when it is complete. The property of a slave and a mukatab is not treated in the same way as any children they may have. Their children are only treated in the same way as their own slaves; not in the same way as their property. This is because the sunna; in which there is no dispute; is that when a slave is freed; his property follows him and his children do not follow him; and when a mukatab writes the contract for his freedom; his property follows him and his children do not follow him. Malik said; One thing which makes that clear is that when a slave or a mukatab are bankrupt; their property is taken but the mothers of their children and their children are not taken because they are not their property. Malik said; Another thing which makes it clear is that when a slave is sold and the person who buys him stipulates the inclusions of his property; his children are not included in his property. Malik said; Another thing which makes it clear is that when a slave does injure some one; he and his property are taken; and his children are not taken. The Chapter on Slave As A Property in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Speech in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-34947Yahya said that he heard Malik say; What is done in our community about injury to a domestic animal; is that the one who injures it must pay the amount by which he has diminished the animal price. Yahya said that he heard Malik speak about a camel who attacked a man and he feared for himself and killed it or hamstrung it. He said; If he has a clear proof that it was heading for him and had attacked him; there are no damages against him. If there is no clear proof except his word; he is responsible for the camel. The Chapter on Killing And Payments in HodHood Indexing, The Book of The Description of the Prophet may Allah Bless Him and Grant Him Peace in Muwata Malik
