SahihMuslim-017-001-17416 | Ubida Bin AlSamit reported: Allah Messenger ﷺ took a pledge from us as he took from the women that we will not associate anything with Allah and we will not steal; and we will not commit adultery; and we will not kill our children; and we will not bring calumny upon one another. And he who amongst you fulfils this pledge ; his reward rests with Allah; and he upon whom amongst you is imposed the prescribed punishment and that is carried out; that is his expiation for that sin ; and he whose sins were covered by Allah; his matter rests with Allah. He may punish him if He likes or may forgive him if He so likes. | The Chapter on Fornication And Adultery Punishment And Forgiveness in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 10 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-18688 | It is narrated on the authority of Abu Dharr that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one day said: Do you know where the sun goes? They replied: Allah and His Apostle know best. He the Holy Prophet observed: Verily it the sun glides till it reaches its resting place under the Throne. Then it falls prostrate and remains there until it is asked: Rise up and go to the place whence you came; and it goes back and continues emerging out from its rising place and then glides till it reaches its place of rest under the Throne and falls prostrate and remains in that state until it is asked: Rise up and return to the place whence you came; and it returns and emerges out from it rising place and the it glides in such a normal way that the people do not discern anything unusual in it till it reaches its resting place under the Throne. Then it would be said to it: Rise up and emerge out from the place of your setting; and it will rise from the place of its setting. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said. Do you know when it would happen? It would happen at the time when faith will not benefit one who has not previously believed or has derived no good from the faith. | The Chapter on Mischief Noon Rope And Death in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 72 in Sahih Muslim

SahihMuslim-017-001-19021 | AlBara Bin Azib reported that Abu Bakr AlSiddiq came to the residence of my father Azib and bought a haudaj from him and said to Azib: Send your son to my residence to carry this haudaj ; and my father said to me: Carry it for him. So I carried it and there went along with him with Abu Bakr my father in order to fetch its price and he Azib said to Abu Bakr: Abu Bakr; narrate to me what you both did on the night when you set out on a journey along with Allah Messenger ﷺ. He said: We set out during the night and went on walking until it was noon; and the path was vacant and so none passed by that until there appeared prominently before us a large rock. It had its shade and the rays of the sun did not reach that place. So we got down at that place. I then went to the rock and levelled the ground with my hands at the place where the Prophet ﷺ would take rest under its shade. I then set the bedding and said: Allah Messenger; go to sleep and I shall keep a watch around you. I went out and watched around him. There we saw a shepherd moving towards that rock with his flock and he intended what we intended i. e. taking rest. I met him and said to him: Young boy; to which place do you belong? He said: I am a person from Medina. I said; is there any milk in the udders of your sheep and goats? He said: Yes. He took hold of a goat; and I said to him: Clean the udder well so that it should be free from hair; dust and impurity. I saw AlBara striking his hand upon the other to give an indication how he did that. He milked the goat for me in a wooden cup which he had with him and I had with me a bucket in which I kept water for drinking and for performing ablution. I came to Allah Apostle ﷺ and did not like to awaken him from sleep but he was accidentally startled from the sleep. I poured water upon the milk till It was cold and I said: Allah Messenger; take this milk. He then took It and I was delighted and he the Holy Prophet said: Is now not the time to march on? I said: Of course. So he marched on after the sun had passed the meridian and Suraqa Bin Malik pursued us and we had been walking on soft; level ground. I said: Allah Messenger; we are about to be overtaken by them. Thereupon he said: Be not grieved. Verily; Allah is with us. Then Allah Messenger ﷺ cursed him and his horse sank into the earth. I think he also said: I know you have hurled curse upon me. So supplicate Allah for me and I take an oath that I shall turn everyone away who would come in search of you. So he Allah Messenger supplicated Allah and he was rescued and he came back and to everyone he met; he said: I have combed all this side. In short; he diverted everyone whom he met and he in fact fulfilled his promise. | The Chapter on Milk in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 19 in Sahih Muslim

I testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger. So they say: We knew that you would say this. Then his grave is expanded to seventy by seventy cubits; then it is illuminated for him. Then it is said to him: Sleep. So he said: Can I return to my family to inform them? They say: Sleep as a newlywed; whom none awakens but the dearest of his family. Until Allah resurrects him from his resting place. If he was a hypocrite he would say: I heard people saying something; so I said the same; I do not know. So they said: We knew you would say that. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-29326 | Narrated Abdullah AlHawzani: I met Bilal; the Muadhdhin of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at Aleppo; and said: Bilal; tell me; what was the financial position of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ? He said: He had nothing. It was I who managed it on his behalf since the day Allah made him Prophet of Allah ﷺ until he died. When a Muslim man came to him and he found him naked; he ordered me to clothe him. I would go; borrow some money ; and purchase a cloak for him. I would then clothe him and feed him. A man from the polytheists met me and said: I am well off; Bilal. Do not borrow money from anyone except me. So I did accordingly. One day when I performed ablution and stood up to make call to prayer; the same polytheist came along with a body of merchants. When he saw me; he said: O Abyssinian. I said: I am at your service. He met me with unpleasant looks and said harsh words to me. He asked me: Do you know how many days remain in the completion of this month? I replied: The time is near. He said: Only four days remain in the completion of this month. I shall then take that which is due from you i.e. loan ; and then shall return you to tend the sheep as you did before. I began to think in my mind what people think in their minds on such occasions. When I offered the night prayer; the Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned to his family. I sought permission from him and he gave me permission. I said: Messenger of Allah; may my parents be sacrificed for you; the polytheist from whom I used to borrow money said to me such-and-such. Neither you nor I have anything to pay him for me; and he will disgrace me. So give me permission to run away to some of those tribes who have recently embraced Islam until Allah gives His Apostle ﷺ something with which he can pay the debt for me. So I came out and reached my house. I placed my sword; waterskin or sheath ; shoes and shield near my head. When dawn broke; I intended to be on my way. All of a sudden I saw a man running towards me and calling: Bilal; return to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. So I went till I reached him. I found four mounts kneeling on the ground with loads on them. I sought permission. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: Be glad; Allah has made arrangements for the payment of your debt. He then asked: Have you not seen the four mounts kneeling on the ground? I replied: Yes. He said: You may have these mounts and what they have on them. There are clothes and food on them; presented to me by the ruler of Fadak. Take them away and pay off your debt. I did so. He then mentioned the rest of the tradition. I then went to the Masjid and found that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was sitting there. I greeted him. He asked: What benefit did you have from your property? I replied: Allah Most High paid everything which was due from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Nothing remains now. He asked: Did anything remain from that property ? I said: Yes. He said: Look; if you can give me some comfort from it; for I shall not visit any member of my family until you give me some comfort from it. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ offered the night prayer; he called me and said: What is the position of that which you had with you i.e. property ? I said: I still have it; no one came to me. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed the night in the Masjid. He then narrated the rest of the tradition. Next day when he offered the night prayer; he called me and asked: What is the position of that which you had i.e. the rest of the property ? I replied: Allah has given you comfort from it; Messenger of Allah. He said: Allah is Most Great; and praised Allah; fearing lest he should die while it was with him. MuwataMalik-017-001-34813 | Malik said; The generally agreed-on way of doing things among us in the case of slave whose master makes a bequest to free part of him - a third; a fourth; a half; or any share after his death; is that only the portion of him is freed that his master has named. This is because the freeing of that portion is only obliged to take place after the death of the master because the master has the option to withdraw the bequest as long as he lives. When the slave is freed from his master; the master is a testator and the testator only has access to free what he can take from his property; being the third of the property he is allowed to bequeath; and the rest of the slave is not free because the man property has gone out of his hands. How can the rest of the slave which belongs to other people be free when they did not initiate the setting free and did not confirm it and they do not have the wala established for them? Only the deceased could do that. He was the one who freed him and the one for whom the wala was confirmed. That is not to be borne by another property unless he bequeaths within the third of his property what remains of a lave to be freed. That is a request against his partners and inheritors and the partners must not refuse the slave that when it is within the third of the dead man property because there is no harm in that to the inheritors. Malik said; If a man frees a third of his slave while he is critically ill; he must complete the emancipation so all of him is free from him; if it is within the third of his property that he has access to; because he is not treated in the same way as a man who frees a third of a slave after his death; because had the one who freed a third of his slave after his death lived; he could have cancelled it and the slave being set free would be of no effect. The master who made the freeing of the third of the slave irrevocable in his illness; would still have to free all of him if he lived. If he died; the slave would be set free within the third of the bequest. That is because the command of the deceased is permissible in his third as the command of the healthy is permissible in all his property. | The Chapter on Slave As A Property in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Speech in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-35158 | Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that Urwa Ibn AlZubair said about the child of lian and the child of fornication; that if they died; the mother inherited her right from them according to the Book of Allah; the Mighty; the Majestic! The siblings by the mother had their rights. The rest was inherited by the former masters of the mother if she was a freed slave. If she was a free woman by origin; she inherited her due and the siblings by the mother inherited their due; and the rest went to the Muslims. Malik said; I heard the same as that from Sulayman Ibn Yasar. Malik said; That is what I saw the people of knowledge in our city doing. | The Chapter on Inheritance And Shares in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Hudud in Muwata Malik

He replied that he sought it shade. Abdullah Ibn Umar said; Anything besides that? and he said; No; that was the only. reason he stopped for a rest; and Abdullah Ibn Umar said; The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; If you are between AlAkhshabayn which are two mountains near Mina; indicating the east with his outspread hand; you will find a valley called AlSurar with a tree in it beneath which the umbilical cords of seventy prophets have been cut. | The Chapter on Agriculture General in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Fasting in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-36197 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi; the mawla of Abdullah Ibn Umar; that Umar Ibn AlKhattab wrote to his governors saying; The most important of your affairs in my view is the prayer. Whoever protects it and observes it carefully is protecting his deen; while whoever is negligent about it will be even more negligent about other things. Then he added; Pray dhuhr any time from when the afternoon shade is the length of your forearm until the length of your shadow matches your height. Pray asr when the sun is still pure white; so that a rider can travel two or three farsakhs before the sun sets. Pray maghrib when the sun has set. Pray isha any time from when the redness in the western sky has disappeared until a third of the night has passed - and a person who sleeps; may he have no rest; a person who sleeps; may he have no rest. And pray subh when all the stars are visible and like a haze in the sky. | The Chapter on Sleeping Past Asr Obligatory Prayers in HodHood Indexing, The Book of The Quran in Muwata Malik |
