His prophecy will prove true as far as the heavenly news is concerned. The people will say. Didnt he tell us that on such-and-such a day; such-and-such a thing will happen? She has a letter. Take the letter from her. So we set out; and our horses ran at full pace till we reached Raudat Khakh; and behold; we saw the lady and said to her ; Take out the letter! She said; I have no letter with me. We said; Either you take out the letter or we will strip you of your clothes. So she took the letter out of her hair braid. We brought the letter to the Prophet ﷺ and behold; it was addressed by Hatib Bin Abi Baltaa to some pagans at Mecca; informing them of some of the affairs of the Prophet. The Prophet ﷺ said; What is this; O Hatib? Hatib replied; Do not be hasty with me; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! I am an Ansari man and do not belong to them Quraish infidels while the emigrants who were with you had their relatives who used to protect their families and properties at Mecca. So; to compensate for not having blood relation with them. I intended to do them some favor so that they might protect my relatives at Mecca ; and I did not do this out of disbelief or an inclination to desert my religion. The Prophet then said to his companions ; He Hatib has told you the truth. Umar said; O Allah Apostle! Allow me to chop his head off? The Apostle said; He is one of those who witnessed fought in the Battle of Badr; and what do you know; perhaps Allah looked upon the people of Badr Badr warriors and said; Do what you want as I have forgiven you. Amr; a sub-narrator; said;: This Verse was revealed about him Hatib : O you who believe! Take not My enemies and your enemies as friends or protectors. 60.1 Narrated Ali: Sufyan was asked whether the Verse : Take not My enemies and your enemies... was revealed in connection with Hatib. When Allah Messenger ﷺ came; I spoke to him about it. He said; Buy her and manumit her. No doubt AlWala is for the manumitted. Then Allah Messenger ﷺ stood on the pulpit or Allah Messenger ﷺ ascended the pulpit as Sufyan once said ; and said; What about some people who impose conditions which are not present in Allah Book Laws ? He said: who is with you; may my parents be a sacrifice for you? I said: Here are the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his people with him. He asked: Which is the way out? He said: He rode behind me; and his companion returned. When the morning came; I brought him to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he embraced Islam. I said: Messenger of Allah; Abu Sufyan is a man who likes this pride; do something for him. He said: Yes; he who enters the house of Abu Sufyan is safe; he who closes the door upon him is safe; and he who enters the Masjid is safe. The people scattered to their houses and in the Masjid. | The Chapter on Makkah And Pagans in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The Conquest Of Makkah in Sunan Abu Dawoud | |

If any man among those who stay at home is entrusted with the oversight of ones family who is engaged in jihad and betrays him; he will be setup for him on the Day of Resurrection and he the mujahid will be told This man was entrusted with the oversight of your family; so take what you want from his good deeds. MuwataMalik-017-001-35257 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdullah Ibn Yazid; the mawla of AlAswad Ibn Sufyan from Abu Salama Ibn Abdulrahman Ibn Awuf from Fatima bint Qays that Abu Amr Ibn Hafs divorced her absolutely while he was away in Syria. His agent sent her some barley and she was displeased with it; saying; By Allah; I dont expect anything from you. She went to the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; and mentioned it to him. He said; You have no maintenance. He then ordered her to spend her idda in the house of Umm Sharik. Then he said; This is a woman whom my companions visit. Spend the idda in the house of Ibn Umm Maktum. He is a blind man and you can undress at his home. When you are free to remarry; tell me. She continued; When I was free to remarry; I mentioned to him that Muawiya Ibn Abi Sufyan and Abu Jahm Ibn Hisham had asked for me in marriage. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; As for Abu Jahm; he never puts down his stick from his shoulder i.e. he is always travelling ; and as for Muawiya he is a poor man with no property. Marry Usama Ibn Zayd. I objected to him and he said; Marry Usama Ibn Zayd; so I married him; and Allah put good in it and I was content with him. | The Chapter on Marriage And Iddah in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Wills and Testaments in Muwata Malik |
