Narrated Abdullah On the day of the battle of Hunain Allah Messenger favored some people in the distribution of the booty to the exclusion of others he gave AlAqra Bin HAbis one hundred camels and he gave Uyaina the same amount and also gave to some of the eminent Arabs giving them preference in this regard

14. Then he asked thrice Is the son of Abu Quhafa present amongst these people He asked again thrice Is the son of AlKhattab present amongst these people He then returned to his companions and said As for these men they have been killed

Abu Sufyan said Our victory today is a counterbalance to yours in the battle of Badr and in war the victory is always undecided and is shared in turns by the belligerents and you will find some of your killed men mutilated but I did not urge my men to do so yet I do not feel sorry for their deed After that he started reciting cheerfully O Hubal be high On that the Prophet said to his companions Why dont you answer him back They said O Allah Messenger What shall we say He said Say Allah is Higher and more Sublime
16. The Prophet then stood up amongst the Muslims Glorified and Praised Allah as He deserved and then said Then after These brothers of yours have come to you with repentance and I see it proper to return their captives so whoever amongst you likes to do that as a favor then he can do it and whoever of you wants to stick to his share till we pay him from the very first Fai i
17. Narrated Abu Huraira The Prophet said A time will come when one will not care how one gains one money legally or illegally
18. Narrated Ibn Umar Bani AlNadir and Bani Quraiza fought against the Prophet violating their peace treaty so the Prophet exiled Bani AlNadir and allowed Bani Quraiza to remain at their places in Medina taking nothing from them till they fought against the Prophet again
19. They were the Jews of Bani Qainuqa the tribe of Abdullah Bin Salam and the Jews of Bani Haritha and all the other Jews of Medina

Narrated AlBara We faced the pagans on that day of the battle of Uhud and the Prophet placed a batch of archers at a special place and appointed Abdullah Bin Jubair as their commander and said Do not leave this place if you should see us conquering the enemy do not leave this place and if you should see them conquering us do not come to help us So when we faced the enemy they took to their heels till I saw their women running towards the mountain lifting up their clothes from their legs revealing their leg bangles
21. And if there still remains any fight with the Quraish infidels then keep me alive till I fight against them for Your Sake
22. He performed one Umra from AlHudaibiya in Dh AlQada another Umra in the following year in Dhul Qada a third from AlJirana where he distributed the war booty of Hunain in Dhul Qada and the fourth Umra he performed was with his Hajj
23. Then he went towards a strong camel which was tied in the house and carried on to it two sacks he had loaded with food grains and put between them money and clothes and gave her its rope to hold and said Lead it and this provision will not finish till Allah gives you a good supply
24. We then got the meat of donkeys and intended to eat it but an announcement was made by the announcer of the Prophet Allah and His Apostle forbid you to eat the meat of donkeys as it is an impure thing
25. were dissatisfied and he called them and made them enter a leather tent and said Wont you be pleased that the people take the sheep and camels and you take Allah Messenger along with you The Prophet added If the people took their way through a valley and the Ansar took their way through a mountain pass then I would choose a mountain pass of the Ansar
26. Muslim soldier should kill his captive I said By Allah I will not kill my captive and none of my companions will kill his captive
27. Narrated Buraida The Prophet sent Ali to Khalid to bring the Khumus of the booty and I hated Ali and Ali had taken a bath after a sexual act with a slave girl from the Khumus
28. Narrated Aisha Allah Messenger said I saw Hell and its different portions were consuming each other and saw Amr dragging his intestines in it and he was the first person to establish the tradition of letting animals loose for the idols

Another chain from Abu Hurairah who narrated that the Prophet said I have been honored over the Prophets with six things I have been given Jawami AlKalam I have been aided by the ability to cause in the enemy fright the spoils of war have been made lawful for me the Earth has been made as a Masjid and purifier for me and I have been sent to all creatures and with me Prophethood is sealed
30. It is for the Imam to decide to be generous with whom he wills among the captives or to kill whom he wills among them or to ransom whom he wills among them
31. And if you lay siege to a fortress and they want you to grant them covenant from Allah and a covenant of His Prophet then do not grant them the covenant of Allah nor the covenant of His Prophet
32. Rather grant them your own covenant and the covenant of your companions it will be better than breaking Allah covenant and the covenant of His Messenger
33. Some of them reported it form Hisham Bin Urwah from his father in Mursal form from the Prophet without mentioning from Aishah in it And Yazid Bin Ruman reported this Hadith from Urwah from Aishah
34. Saad said O Messenger of Allah SAW you gave to so and so and so and so but you did not give anything to so and so and he is a believer
35. The Prophet SAW said Or a Muslim until Saad had repeated it three times and the Prophet SAW said I give to some men and leave those who are dearer to me without giving them anything lest the former be thrown into Hell on their faces
36. I said O Messenger of Allah you gave to so and so and so and so and you withheld from so and so who is a beliver
37. It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said The Prophet SAW used to seek refuge from these three From being overtaken by destruction from his enemies rejoicing in his misfortune from being destined to an evil end and from the difficult moment of a calamity
38. It was narrated from Amr Bin Shuaib from his father from his grandfather that the Messenger of Allah went to a camel and took a hair from its hump between his fingers and said I am not entitled to take anything from the Fay not even this except the Khumus and the Khumus will come back to you

41. But the Messenger of Allah said at that point Leave the Ethiopians alone so long as they leave you alone and leave the Turks alone so long as they leave you alone
42. It was narrated from Abudullah Bin Hubshi AlKhath ami that the Prophet was asked Which deed is best He said Faith in which there is no doubt Jihad in which there is no stealing of the spoils of war and Hjijatun Mabrurah
43. It was narrated from Sulaiman Bin Buraidah from his father that when the Messenger of Allah came to the graveyard he would say As salamu alaykum ahli ad diyari min Almuminin Almuslimin wa inna I sha Allahu bikum lana faratun wa nahnu lakum tabaun asalullaha Alafiyata lana wa lakum
44. It has been narrated on the authority of Abdullah Bin Amr through a different chain of transmitters that the Messenger of Allah said A troop of soldiers large or small who fight in the way of Allah get their share of the booty and return safe and sound receive in advance two thirds of their reward only one third remaining to their credit to be received in the Hereafter and a troop of soldiers large or small who return empty handed and are afflicted or wounded will receive their full reward in the Hereafter
45. He said to his followers One who has married a woman and wants to consummate to his marriage but has not yet done so another who has built a house but has not yet erected its roof and another who has bought goats and pregnantshe camels and is waiting for their offspring will not accommpany me
46. Eleven or twelve camels fell to the lot of every fighter and each of them also got one extra camel
47. So Allah the Glorious and Exalted revealed the ic verse When ye appealed to your Lord for help He responded to your call saying I will help you with one thousand angels coming in succession
48. Hand over Aqil to Ali that he may cut off his head and hand over such and such relative to me that I may cut off his head
49. When he returned from the Ditch and laid down his arms and took a bath the angel Gabriel appeared to him and he was removing dust from his hair as if he had just returned from the battle
50. I was holding the bridle of the mule of the Messenger of Allah checking it from going very fast and Abu Sufyan was holding the stirrup of the mule of the Messenger of Allah who said Abbas call out to the people of AlSamura
51. Abbas who was a man with a loud voice called out at the top of the voice Where are the people of Samura Abbas said And by God when they heard my voice they came back to us as cows come back to their calves and said We are present we are present Abbas said They began to fight the infidels
52. Najda wrote to him saying after praising the Almighty and invoking blessings on the Prophet Tell me whether the Messenger of Allah took women to participate with him in Jihad if he did whether he allotted them a regular share from the booty whether he killed the children of the enemy in the war how long an orphan would be entitled to consideration as such and for whom the Khums fifth part of the booty was booty
53. By my life if a man has become bearded but is still incapable of getting his due from others or fulfilling his obligation towards them he is yet an orphan to be treated as such but when he can look after his interests like grown up people he is no longer an orphan
54. It has been narrated on the authority of Yazid Bin Hurmuz who said Najda Bin Amir AlHaruri wrote to Ibn Abbas asking him about the slave and the woman as to whether they would get a share from the booty it they participated in Jihad about the killing of enemy children in war about the orphan as to when his orphanhood comes to an end about kinsmen of the Holy Prophet as to who they are
55. You should know that the Messenger of Allah used not to kill any one of their children and you too should not kill any one of them except when you knew about them what Khadir had known about the boy whom he killed
56. They will be the best horsemen on the surface of the earth on that day or amongst the best horsemen on the surface of the earth on that day

He set forth with his son carrying him on his back and came to Allah Apostle and said Allah Messenger a son has been born to me and I have given him the name after the name of Allah Messenger whereupon Allah Messenger said Give him my name but do not give him my kunya for I am Qasim in the sense that I distribute the spoils of war and the dues of Zakat amongst you
58. Jabir Bin Abdullah reported Allah Messenger as saying Give the name after my name but do not give the kunya of Ab AlQasim after my kunya for I am Ab AlQasim in the sense that I distribute amongst you the spoils of war and disseminate the knowledge of revelation
59. Jabir reported I heard Allah Apostle saying during an expedition in which we also participated Make a general practice of wearing sandals for a man is riding as it were when he wears sandals
60. I went to him in the morning and he was in the garden at that time having the mantle of Jauniya over him and he was bus in cauterising the camels which had been brought to him as spoils of war in victory over the enemy
61. She passed three days in this state until she fainted because of extreme hunger and at that time her son whose name was Umara stood up and served her drink and she began to curse Saad that Allah the Exalted and Glorions revealed these verses of the Holy And We have enjoined upon a person goodness to his parents but if they contend with thee to associate others with Me of which you have no knowledge then obey them not xxix
62. A person came with cheese another came with dates and still another came with refined butter and they prepared hais and that was the wedding feast of Allah Messenger
63. Anas Allah be pleased with him reported I was sitting behind Abu Talha on the Day of Khaibar and my feet touched the foot of Allah Messenger and we came to the people of Khaibar when the sun had risen and they had driven out their cattle and had themselves come out with their axes large baskets and hatchets and they said Here come Muhammad and the army
64. Allah Messenger arranged the wedding feast consisting of dates cheese and refined butter and pits were dug and tiers were set in them dining cloths and there was brought cheese and refined butter and these were placed there
65. Abdulrahman Bin Aouf reported I heard Muawiya Bin Abu Sufyan saying in an address that he had heard the Messenger of Allah as saying He to whom Allah intends to do good He gives him insight into religion
66. He bestowed on Aqra Bin Habis one hundred camels and bestowed an equal number upon Uyaina and bestowed on people among the elites of Arabia and preferred them to others on that day in the distribution of spoils
67. Upon this the Messenger of Allah said Woe be upon thee Who would do justice if I do not do justice You would be unsuccessful and incurring a loss if I do not do justice
68. that Anas Allah be pleased with him had informed him that Allah Messenger performed four Umras all during the month of Dh AlQada except the one he performed along with Hajj and these are the Umra that he performed from AlHudaibiya or during the time of the truce of Hudaibiya in the month of Dh AlQada then the Umra of the next year in the month of Dh AlQada then the Umra for which be had started from jirana the place where he distributed the spoils of the battle of Hunain in the month of Dh AlQada and then the Umra that he performed along with his Hajj on the occasion of the Farewell Pilgrimage
69. It was narrated from Simak Bin Harb that Musab Bin Saad said Abdullah Bin Umar came to visit Ibn Amir when he was sick and he said Wont you supplicate to Allah for me O Ibn Umar He said I heard the Messenger of Allah say No Salat is accepted without Wudu purification and no charity is accepted that comes from Ghulul and you were the governor of AlBasrah
70. Jabir Bin Abdullah AlAnsari reported The Prophet said I have been conferred upon five things which were not granted to anyone before me and these are Every apostle wassent particularly to his own people whereas I have been sent to all the red and the black the spoils of war have been made lawful for me and these were never made lawful to anyone before me and the earth has been made sacred and pure and mosque for me so whenever the time of prayer comes for any one of you he should pray whenever he is and I have been supported by awe by which the enemy is overwhelmed from the distance which one takes one month to cover and I have been granted intercession
71. Narrated Ruwayfi Ibn Thabit AlAnsari Should I tell you what I heard the Messenger of Allah say on the day of Hunayn It is not lawful for a man who believes in Allah and the last day to water what another has sown with his water meaning intercourse with women who are pregnant it is not lawful for a man who believes in Allah and the Last Day to have intercourse with a captive woman till she is free from a menstrual course and it is not lawful for a man who believes in Allah and the Last Day to sell spoil till it is divided
72. Narrated Aisha Ummul Muminin Describing the conquest of Khaybar Aisha said The Prophet used to send Abdullah Ibn Rawahah to the Jews of Khaybar and he would make an estimate of the palm trees when the fruit was in good condition before any of it was eaten
73. I heard it from Abu AlWalid but I did nor retain An Umrah during the treaty of AlHudaibiyah or from AlHudaibiyah and Umrat AlQada in Dhu AlQadah and an Umrah from AlJiranah where he the Prophet distributed the booty of Hunain in Dhu AlQadah and an Umrah along with his Hajj
74. You and AbuBakr were weighed and you were heavier AbuBakr and Umar were weighed and AbuBakr was heavier Umar and Uthman were weighed and Umar was heavier than the scale was taken up
75. Narrated Muadh Ibn Jabal The Prophet said The flourishing state of Jerusalem will be when Yathrib is in ruins the ruined state of Yathrib will be when the great war comes the outbreak of the great war will be at the conquest of Constantinople and the conquest of Constantinople when the Dajjal Antichrist comes forth
76. Ruwayfi said Any one of us would borrow a camel during the lifetime of the Prophet from the other on condition that he would give him half the booty and the other half he would retain himself
77. He then reported The Messenger of Allah said You may live for a long time after I am gone Ruwayfi so tell people that if anyone ties his beard or wears round his neck a string to ward off the evil eye or cleanses himself with animal dung or bone Muhammad has nothing to do with him
78. The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Qatadah through a different chain of narrators to the effect that two men laid claim camel and both of them produced witness so the prophet peace be upon him divided it in halves between them

Narrated Umar Ibn AlKhattab Malik Ibn Aws Ibn AlHadthan said One day Umar Ibn AlKhattab mentioned the spoils of war and said I am not more entitled to this spoil of war than you and none of us is more entitled to it than another except that we occupy our positions fixed by the Book of Allah Who is Great and Glorious and the division made by the Messenger of Allah people being arranged according to their precedence in accepting Islam the hardship they have endured their having children and their need
80. Narrated Umar Ibn AlKhattab A son of Uodi Ibn Uodi AlKindi said that Umar Ibn AbdulAziz wrote to his governors If anyone asks about the places where spoils fay should be spent that should be done in accordance with the decision made by Umar Ibn AlKhattab Allah be pleased with him
81. You should utter Allaah is Most Great after each prayer thirty three times Glory be to Allaah thirty three times Praise be to Allaah thirty three times and there is no god but Allaah alone He has no associate the Kingdom belongs to Him and praise is due to Him and He has power over all things
82. Ali said If I survive for the Christians of Banu Taghlib I shall kill fighters and captivate children for I had written a document between them and the Prophet to the effect that they would not make their children Christian
83. Ibn Abbas explain the ic verse For those who can do it with hardship is a ransom the feeding of one that is indigent said If one of them wished to pay ransom by providing food to an indigent person he could pay ransom
84. Narrated Abdullah Ibn Abbas Explaining the verse For those who can do it with hard ship is a ransom the feeding of one that is indigent he said This was a concession granted to the aged man and woman who were able to keep fast they were allowed to leave the fast and instead feed an indigent person for each fast and a concession to pregnant and suckling woman when they apprehended harm to themselves
85. Then summon them to leave their territory and transfer to the abode of the Emigrants and tell them that if they do so they will have the same rights and responsibilities as the Emigrants but if they refuse and choose their own abode tell them that they will be like the desert Arabs who are Muslims subject to Allaahs jurisdiction which applies to the believers but will have no spoil or booty unless they strive with the Muslims
86. The companions of Abd Allaah Bin Jubair said Booty O People booty Your companions vanquished for what are you waiting Ad Allaah Bin Jubair said Have you forgotten what the Apostle of Allaah had told you They said We swear by Allaah
87. Narrated Sawdah daughter of Zamah Yahya Ibn Abdullah said When the captives of the battle of Badr were brought Sawdah daughter of Zamah was present with the children of Afra at the halting place of their camels that is Awf and Muawidh sons of Afra
88. Narrated Aisha Ummul Muminin When the people of Mecca sent about ransoming their prisoners Zaynab sent some property to ransom AbulAs sending among it a necklace of hers which Khadijah had had and which she had given to her when she married AbulAs
89. The Apostle of Allaah stood up extolled Allaah and then said To proceed your brethren have come repentant I have considered that I should return their captives to them so let those of you who are willing to release the captives act accordingly but those who wish to hold on to what they have till we give them some of the first booty Allaah gives us may do so
90. Narrated Abdullah Ibn AbuAwfa Muhammad Ibn AbulMujahid reported Abdullah Ibn AbuAwfa as saying I asked Did you set aside the fifth of the food in the time of the Messenger of Allah He replied On the day of Khaybar we captured food and a man would come and take as much food of it as needed and then go away
91. Salih Bin Muhammad said We went out on an expedition with AlWalid Bin Hisham and Salim Bin Abd Allaah Bin Umat and Umar Bin Abd AlAziz were with us
92. He allotted nothing to anyone who was not present at the conquest of Khaybar giving shares only to those who were present with him except for those who were in our ship Jaffar and his companions to whom he gave a portion something along with them
93. Narrated Abdullah Ibn Abbas Yazid Ibn Hurmuz said Najdah wrote to Ibn Abbas asking him about such and such and such and such and he mentioned some things he asked about a slave whether he would get something from the spoils and he asked about women whether they used to go out on expeditions along with the Messenger of Allah and whether they would be allotted a share Ibn Abbas said Had I not apprehended a folly I would not have written a reply to him
94. It wasnarrated that Ibn Umar said Two Eid came together at thetime of the Messenger of Allah so he led the people in prayer then he said Whoever wishes to come to Friday prayer let himcome and whoever wishes to stay behind let him stay behind
95. It was narrated that Abdulrahman Bin Hurmuz AlAraj heard Abu Huraira say By Allah were it not for two Verses in the Book of Allah I would never have narrated anything from him meaning from the Prophet were it not for the Words of Allah Verily those who conceal what Allah has sent down of the Book and purchase a small gain therewith of worldly things they eat into their bellies nothing but fire
96. It wasnarrated from Abu Sad Bin Abu Fadalah AlAnsari who was oneofthe Companions that the Messenger of Allah said When Allahassembles the first and the last on the Day of Resurrection a dayconcerning which there is no doubt a caller will cry out Whoeverused to associate anyone else in an action that he did for Allah lethim seek his reward from someone other than Allah for Allah is soself sufficient that He has no need of any associate
97. It wasnarrated from Abu Dharr that the Messenger of Allah said There is no wisdom like reflection and no honor like goodmanners
98. It wasnarrated that Abdullah said A man said to the Messenger ofAllah How can I know when I have done well and when I havedone something bad The Prophet said If you hear yourneighbors saying that you have done well then you have done well andif you hear them saying that you have done something bad thenyouhave done something bad
99. Yahya related to me from Malik from Muhammad ibn al Munkadir fromSaid ibn al Jubayr that a man who has approval as a relater ofhadith told him that A isha the wife of the Prophet may Allahbless him and grant him peace said If a man prays in the night andsleep overcomes him during it Allah writes for him the reward of hisprayer and his sleep is sadaqa for him
100. Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said that he heardSaid ibn al Musayyab being asked about making up days missed inRamadan and Said said What I like best is for days missed inRamadan to be made up consecutively and not separately
