SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1998Narrated Amr Bin AlSharid: AlMiswar Bin Makhrama came and put his hand on my shoulder and I accompanied him to Sad. Abu Rafi said to AlMiswar; Wont you order this i.e. Sad to buy my house which is in my yard? Saad said; I will not offer more than four hundred in installments over a fixed period. Abu Rafi said; I was offered five hundred cash but I refused. Had I not heard the Prophet ﷺ saying; A neighbor is more entitled to receive the care of his neighbor; I would not have sold it to you. The narrator said; to Sufyan: Mamar did not say so. Sufyan said; But he did say so to me. Some people said; If someone wants to sell a house and deprived somebody of the right of preemption; he has the right to play a trick to render the preemption invalid. And that is by giving the house to the buyer as a present and marking its boundaries and giving it to him. The buyer then gives the seller one-thousand Dirham as compensation in which case the preemptor loses his right of preemption. The Chapter on Worship And Alquran In Homes in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Tricks in giftgiving and preemption in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-2494Narrated Ibn Umar: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; While three persons were traveling; they were overtaken by rain and they took shelter in a cave in a mountain. A big rock fell from the mountain over the mouth of the cave and blocked it. They said to each other. Think of such good righteous deeds which; you did for Allah sake only; and invoke Allah by giving reference to those deeds so that Allah may relieve you from your difficulty. one of them said; O Allah! I had my parents who were very old and I had small children for whose sake I used to work as a shepherd. When I returned to them at night and milked the sheep ; I used to start giving the milk to my parents first before giving to my children. And one day I went far away in search of a grazing place for my sheep ; and didnt return home till late at night and found that my parents had slept. I milked my livestock as usual and brought the milk vessel and stood at their heads; and I disliked to wake them up from their sleep; and I also disliked to give the milk to my children before my parents though my children were crying from hunger at my feet. So this state of mine and theirs continued till the day dawned. O Allah! If you considered that I had done that only for seeking Your pleasure; then please let there be an opening through which we can see the sky. So Allah made for them an opening through which they could see the sky. Then the second person said; O Allah! I had a cousin whom I loved as much as a passionate man love a woman. I tried to seduce her but she refused till I paid her one-hundred Dinars So I worked hard till I collected one hundred Dinars and went to her with that But when I sat in between her legs to have sexual intercourse with her ; she said; O Allah slave! Be afraid of Allah ! Do not deflower me except legally by marriage contract. So I left her O Allah! If you considered that I had done that only for seeking Your pleasure then please let the rock move a little to have a wider opening. So Allah shifted that rock to make the opening wider for them. And the last third person said O Allah ! I employed a laborer for wages equal to a Faraq a certain measure: of rice; and when he had finished his job he demanded his wages; but when I presented his due to him; he gave it up and refused to take it. Then I kept on sowing that rice for him several times till managed to buy with the price of the yield; some cows and their shepherd Later on the laborer came to me an said. O Allah slave! Be afraid o Allah; and do not be unjust to me an give me my due. I said to him. Go and take those cows and their shepherd. So he took them and went away. So; O Allah! If You considered that I had done that for seeking Your pleasure; then please remove the remaining part of the rock. And so Allah released them from their difficulty. The Chapter on Love And Emotions And Child in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The invocation of the person who is dutiful to his parents if fulfilled in Sahih AlBukhari

We said; Yes; O Allah Messenger ﷺ He said; To join partners in worship with Allah: to be undutiful to one parents. The Prophet ﷺ sat up after he had been reclining and added; And I warn you against giving forged statement and a false witness; I warn you against giving a forged statement and a false witness. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4046Narrated Anas Bin Malik: When Allah favored His Apostle with the properties of Hawazin tribe as Fai booty ; he started giving to some Quarries men even up to one-hundred camels each; whereupon some Ansari men said about Allah Messenger ﷺ ; May Allah forgive His Apostle! He is giving to men of Quraish and leaves us; in spite of the fact that our swords are still dropping blood of the infidels When Allah Messenger ﷺ was informed of what they had said; he called the Ansar and gathered them in a leather tent and did not call anybody else along; with them. When they gathered; Allah Messenger ﷺ came to them and said; What is the statement which; I have been informed; and that which you have said? The learned ones among them replied; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! The wise ones amongst us did not say anything; but the youngsters amongst us said; May Allah forgive His Apostle; he gives the Quarish and leaves the Ansar; in spite of the fact that our swords are still dribbling wet with the blood of the infidels. Allah Messenger ﷺ replied; I give to such people as are still close to the period of Infidelity i.e. they have recently embraced Islam and Faith is still weak in their hearts. Wont you be pleased to see people go with fortune; while you return with Allah Messenger ﷺ to your houses? By Allah; what you will return with; is better than what they are returning with. The Ansar replied; Yes; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ; we are satisfied Then the Prophet ﷺ said to them. You will find after me; others being preferred to you. Then be patient till you meet Allah and meet His Apostle at AlKauthar i.e. a fount in Paradise. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4080Narrated AlZuhri: Urwa Bin AlZubair said that he asked Aisha about the meaning of the Quranic Verse:- And if you fear that you will not deal fairly with the orphan girls then marry other women of your choice. 4.2-3 Aisha said; It is about a female orphan under the guardianship of her guardian who is inclined towards her because of her beauty and wealth; and likes to marry her with a Mahr less than what is given to women of her standard. So they i.e. guardians were forbidden to marry the orphans unless they paid them a full appropriate Mahr otherwise they were ordered to marry other women instead of them. Later on the people asked Allah Messenger ﷺ about it. So Allah revealed the following Verse:- They ask your instruction O Muhammad! regarding women. Say: Allah instructs you regarding them... 4.127 and in this Verse Allah indicated that if the orphan girl was beautiful and wealthy; her guardian would have the desire to marry her without giving her an appropriate Mahr equal to what her peers could get; but if she was undesirable for lack of beauty or wealth; then he would not marry her; but seek to marry some other woman instead of her. So; since he did not marry her when he had no inclination towards her; he had not the right to marry her when he had an interest in her; unless he treated her justly by giving her a full Mahr and securing all her rights. The Chapter on Contracts And Disputes And Orphans in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The Statement of Allah Taala And if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly with the orphangirls in Sahih AlBukhari

SahihAlBukhari-017-001-6530Narrated Nafi: The people used to say that Ibn Umar had embraced Islam before Umar. This is not true. What happened is that Umar sent Abdullah to bring his horse from an Ansari man so as to fight on it. At that time the people were giving the Pledge of allegiance to Allah Messenger ﷺ near the Tree; and Umar was not aware of that. So Abdullah bin Umar gave the Pledge of Allegiance to the Prophet and went to take the horse and brought it to Umar. While Umar was putting on the armor to get ready for fighting; Abdullah informed him that the people were giving the Pledge of allegiance to Allah Apostle beneath the Tree. So Umar set out and Abdullah accompanied him till he gave the Pledge of allegiance to Allah Messenger ﷺ ; and it was this event that made people say that Ibn Umar had embraced Islam before Umar. The Chapter on Oaths And Pledges And Islam in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The Ghazwa of AlHudaibiya in Sahih AlBukhari

SahihMuslim-017-001-17764It has been narrated on the authority of Alqama Bin Wail AlHadrami who learnt the tradition from his father. The latter said: Salama Bin Yazid Aljuafi asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ : Prophet of Allah; what do you think if we have rulers who rule over us and demand that we discharge our obligations towards them; but they themselves do not discharge their own responsibilities towards us? What do you order us to do? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ avoided giving any answer. Salama asked him again. He again avoided giving any answer. Then he asked again-it was the second time or the third time-when Ashath Bin Qais finding that the Prophet was unnecessarily being pressed for answer pulled him Aasi de and said: Listen to them and obey them; for on them shall he their burden and on you shall be your burden. The Chapter on Fulfilling Obligations To Mother Almasjid And Leaders in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 12 in Sahih Muslim

SunanAlTermithi-017-001-8806Narrated Abu Saeed AlKhudri: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat upon the Minbar and said: Indeed a worshiper has been given a choice by Allah; between Him giving him from the bounty of this life as much as he wishes; and between what is with Him. So he chose what is with Him. So Abu Bakr said: We will ransom our fathers and mothers for you O Messenger of Allah! He said: So we were amazed. Then the people said: Look at this old man. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ informs about a worshiper whom Allah gave the choice; between Him giving him from the bounty of this life as much as he wishes; and between that which is with Allah; and he says: We will ransom our fathers and mothers for you? But the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was the one given the choice; and Abu Bakr was the most knowledgeable of it among them. So the Prophet ﷺ said: From those who were most beneficial to me among the people in their companionship and their wealth was Abu Bakr. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-25981Abu said Alkhudri said : Ali sent some gold-mixed dust to the prophet ﷺ. He divided it among the four : AlAqra Bin Habis AlHanzall and then AlMujashi; uyainah Bin Badr Alfazari; zaid Alkhail AlTal; next to one of Banu nabhan; and Alqamah Bin Ulathat AlAmiri in general ; next to one of Banu kulaib. The Quraish and the ansar became angry and said : He is giving to the chiefs of the people of Najd and leaving us. He said : I am giving them for reconciliation of their hearts. Then a man with deep-seated eyes; high cheek-bones; a projecting brow; a thick beard and a shaven head came forward and said: For Allah; Muhammad! He said : Who will obey Allah if I disobey Him? Allah entrusts me with power over the inhabitants of the earth; but you do not. A man asked to be allowed to kill him and I think he was Khalid Bin AlWalid but he prevented him. Then when the man turned away; he said: From this ones stock there will be people who recite the Quran; but it will not pass down their throats. Hadith PageArabic TextEnglish TranslationBook and Chapter
MuwataMalik-017-001-35133Malik related to me from Yahya Ibn Said that he heard Muhammad Ibn AlMunkadir say; Allah loves his slave who is generous when he sells; and generous when he buys; generous when he repays; and generous when he is repaid. Malik said about a man who bought camels or sheep or dry goods or slaves or any goods without measuring precisely; There is no buying without measuring precisely in anything which can be counted. Malik said about a man who gave a man goods to sell for him and set their price saying; If you sell them for this price as I have ordered you to do; you will have a dinar or something which he has specified; which they are both satisfied with ; if you do not sell them; you will have nothing; There is no harm in that when he names a price to sell them at and names a known fee. If he sells the goods; he takes the fee; and if he does not sell them; he has nothing. Malik said; This is like saying to another man; If you capture my runaway slave or bring my stray camel; you will have such-and-such. This is from the category of reward; and not from the category of giving a wage. Had it been from the category of giving a wage; it would not be good. Malik said; As for a man who is given goods and told that if he sells them he will have a named percentage for every dinar; that is not good because whenever he is a dinar less than the price of the goods; he decreases the due which was named for him. This is an uncertain transaction. He does not know how much he will be given. The Chapter on Financial Transaction And Partnership in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Blood Money in Muwata Malik
