If he remembers Me in himself; I too; remember him in Myself; and if he remembers Me in a group of people; I remember him in a group that is better than they; and if he comes one span nearer to Me; I go one cubit nearer to him; and if he comes one cubit nearer to Me; I go a distance of two outstretched arms nearer to him; and if he comes to Me walking; I go to him running. | The Chapter on Angeles And Good Deeds And Remembrance in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on And Allah warns you against Himself in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1062 | Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; A group of angels stay with you at night and another group of angels by daytime; and both groups gather at the time of the Asr and Fajr prayers. Then those angels who have stayed with you overnight; ascend to Heaven and Allah asks them about you -- and He knows everything about you. In what state did you leave My slaves? SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1294 | Narrated Abu Saeed AlKhudri: The Prophet ﷺ said; Allah never sends a prophet or gives the Caliphate to a Caliph but that he the prophet or the Caliph has two groups of advisors: A group advising him to do good and exhorts him to do it; and the other group advising him to do evil and exhorts him to do it. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1302 | Narrated AlMiswar Bin Makhrama: The group of people whom Umar had selected as candidates for the Caliphate gathered and consulted each other. Abdulrahman said to them; I am not going to compete with you in this matter; but if you wish; I would select for you a caliph from among you. So all of them agreed to let Abdulrahman decide the case. So when the candidates placed the case in the hands of Abdulrahman the people went towards him and nobody followed the rest of the group nor obeyed any after him. So the people followed Abdulrahman and consulted him all those nights till there came the night we gave the oath of allegiance to Uthman. AlMiswar bin Makhrama added: Abdulrahman called on me after a portion of the night had passed and knocked on my door till I got up; and he said to me; I see you have been sleeping! By Allah; during the last three nights I have not slept enough. Go and call AlZubair and Sad. So I called them for him and he consulted them and then called me saying; Call Ali for me. I called Ali and he held a private talk with him till very late at night; and then Al; got up to leave having had much hope to be chosen as a Caliph but Abdulrahman was afraid of something concerning Ali. Abdulrahman then said to me; Call Uthman for me. I called him and he kept on speaking to him privately till the Muadh-dhin put an end to their talk by announcing the Adhan for the Fajr prayer. When the people finished their morning prayer and that six men group gathered near the pulpit; Abdulrahman sent for all the Muhajirin emigrants and the Ansar present there and sent for the army chief who had performed the Hajj with Umar that year. When all of them had gathered; Abdulrahman said; None has the right to be worshipped but Allah; and added; Now then; O Ali; I have looked at the people tendencies and noticed that they do not consider anybody equal to Uthman; so you should not incur blame by disagreeing. Then Abdulrahman said to Uthman ; I gave the oath of allegiance to you on condition that you will follow Allah Laws and the traditions of Allah Apostle and the traditions of the two Caliphs after him. So Abdulrahman gave the oath of allegiance to him; and so did the people including the Muhajirin emigrants and the Ansar and the chiefs of the army staff and all the Muslims. | The Chapter on Alansar And Dirhams in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on How do the people give the Baia to the Imam in Sahih AlBukhari

He said; Yes. I said; Will there be any good after that evil? He replied; Yes; but it will be tainted not pure. I asked; What will be its taint? He replied; There will be some people who will guide others not according to my tradition? You will approve of some of their deeds and disapprove of some others. I asked; Will there be any evil after that good? He replied; Yes; there will be some people calling at the gates of the Hell Fire; and whoever will respond to their call; will be thrown by them into the Hell Fire. I said; O Allah s Apostle! Will you describe them to us? He said; They will be from our own people and will speak our language. I said; What do you order me to do if such a state should take place in my life? He said; Stick to the group of Muslims and their Imam ruler. I said; If there is neither a group of Muslims nor an Imam ruler ? He said; Then turn away from all those sects even if you were to bite eat the roots of a tree till death overtakes you while you are in that state. | The Chapter on Hell Fire And Suicide in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on If there is no righteous group of Muslims in Sahih AlBukhari

And then I looked and saw a large multitude of people; so I asked Gabriel; Are these people my followers? He said; No; but look towards the horizon. I looked and saw a very large multitude of people. Gabriel said. Those are your followers; and those are seventy thousand persons in front of them who will neither have any reckoning of their accounts nor will receive any punishment. I asked; Why? Then the chief of that tribe was bitten by a snake or stung by a scorpion and he was given all sorts of treatment; but all in vain. Our leader has been bitten by a snake or stung by a scorpion and we have treated him with everything but nothing benefited him Has anyone of you anything useful? One of them replied; Yes; by Allah; I know how to treat with a Ruqya. But. by Allah; we wanted you to receive us as your guests but you refused. I will not treat your patient with a Ruqya till you fix for us something as wages. Consequently they agreed to give those travellers a flock of sheep. The man went with them the people of the tribe and started spitting on the bite and reciting Surat AlFatiha till the patient was healed and started walking as if he had not been sick. When the tribe people paid them their wages they had agreed upon; some of them the Prophet companions said; Distribute the sheep. But the one who treated with the Ruqya said; Do not do that till we go to Allah Apostle and mention to him what has happened; and see what he will order us. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3231 | Narrated Malik Bin Aus Bin AlHadathan: Once I set out to visit Umar bin AlKhattab. While I was sitting there with him his gate-keeper; Yarfa; came and said; Uthman Abdulrahman bin Auf ; AlZubair and Saad bin Abi Waqqas are seeking permission to meet you. Umar said; Yes. So he admitted them and they entered; greeted; and sat down. After a short while Yarfa came again and said to Umar Shall I admit Ali and Abbas? Umar said; Yes. He admitted them and when they entered; they greeted and sat down. Abbas said; O Chief of the Believers! Judge between me and this Ali. The group; Uthman and his companions Sad; O Chief of the Believers! Judge between them and relieve one from the other. Umar said. Wait! I beseech you by Allah; by Whose permission both the Heaven and the Earth stand fast ! Do you know that Allah Messenger ﷺ said. We Apostles do not bequeath anything to our heirs; but whatever we leave is to be given in charity. And by that Allah Messenger ﷺ s meant himself? The group said; He did say so. Umar then turned towards All and Abbas and said. I beseech you both by Allah; do you know that Allah Messenger ﷺ said that? They said; Yes Umar said; Now; let me talk to you about this matter. Allah favored His Apostle with something of this property war booty which He did not give to anybody else. And Allah said:- And what Allah has bestowed on His Apostle as Fai Booty from them for which you made no expedition with either cavalry or camelry... Allah is Able to do all things. 59.6 So this property was especially granted to Allah Messenger ﷺ. But by Allah he neither withheld it from you; nor did he keep it for himself and deprive you of it; but he gave it all to you and distributed it among you till only this remained out of it. And out of this property Allah Messenger ﷺ used to provide his family with their yearly needs; and whatever remained; he would spend where Allah Property the revenues of Zakat used to be spent. Allah Messenger ﷺ kept on acting like this throughout his lifetime. Now I beseech you by Allah; do you know that? They said; Yes. Then Umar said to Ali and Abbas; I beseech you by Allah; do you both know that? They said; Yes. Umar added; When Allah had taken His Apostle unto Him; Abu Bakr said; I am the successor of Allah Messenger ﷺ. So he took charge of that property and did with it the same what Allah Messenger ﷺ used to do; and both of you knew all about it then. Then Umar turned towards Ali and Abbas and said; You both claim that Abu Bakr was so-and-so! But Allah knows that he was honest; sincere; pious and right in that matter. Then Allah caused Abu Bakr to die; and I said; I am the successor of Allah Messenger ﷺ and Abu Bakr. So I kept this property in my possession for the first two years of my rule; and I used to do the same with it as Allah Messenger ﷺ and Abu Bakr used to do. Later both of you Ali and Abbas came to me with the same claim and the same problem. O Abbas! You came to me demanding your share from the inheritance of the son of your brother; and he Ali came to me demanding his wives share from the inheritance of her father. So I said to you; If you wish I will hand over this property to you; on condition that you both promise me before Allah that you will manage it in the same way as Allah Messenger ﷺ and Abu Bakr did; and as I have done since the beginning of my rule; otherwise you should not speak to me about it. So you both said; Hand over this property to us on this condition. And on this condition I handed it over to you. I beseech you by Allah; did I hand it over to them on that condition? The group said; Yes. Umar then faced Ali and Abbas and said; I beseech you both by Allah; did I hand it over to you both on that condition? They both said; Yes. Umar added; Do you want me now to give a decision other than that? By Him with Whose permission order both the Heaven and the Earth stand fast; I will never give any decision other than that till the Hour is established! But if you are unable to manage it that property ; then return it to me and I will be sufficient for it on your behalf. | The Chapter on Contracts And Disputes Management in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on To provide one family with food sufficient for one year in advance in Sahih AlBukhari

SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3774 | Narrated Anas Bin Malik: Allah Messenger ﷺ arrived at Medina with Abu Bakr; riding behind him on the same camel. Abu Bakr was an elderly man known to the people; while Allah Messenger ﷺ was a youth that was unknown. Thus; if a man met Abu Bakr; he would say; O Abu Bakr! Who is this man in front of you? Abu Bakr would say; This man shows me the Way; One would think that Abu Bakr meant the road; while in fact; Abu Bakr meant the way of virtue and good. Then Abu Bakr looked behind and saw a horse-rider pursuing them. He said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! This is a horse-rider pursuing us. The Prophet ﷺ looked behind and said; O Allah! Cause him to fall down. So the horse threw him down and got up neighing. After that the rider; Suraqa said; O Allah Prophet! Order me whatever you want. The Prophet said; Stay where you are and do not allow anybody to reach us. So; in the first part of the day Suraqa was an enemy of Allah Prophet and in the last part of it; he was a protector. Then Allah Apostle alighted by the side of the AlHarra and sent a message to the Ansar; and they came to Allah Prophet and Abu Bakr; and having greeted them; they said; Ride your camels safe and obeyed. Allah Messenger ﷺ and Abu Bakr rode and the Ansar; carrying their arms; surrounded them. The news that Allah Prophet had come circulated in Medina. The people came out and were eagerly looking and saying Allah Prophet has come! Allah Prophet has come! So the Prophet ﷺ went on till he alighted near the house of Abu Ayoub. While the Prophet ﷺ was speaking with the family members of Abu Ayoub ; Abdullah Bin Salam heard the news of his arrival while he himself was picking the dates for his family from his family garden. He hurried to the Prophet ﷺ carrying the dates which he had collected for his family from the garden. He listened to Allah Prophet and then went home. Then Allah Prophet said; Which is the nearest of the houses of our kith and kin? Abu Ayoub replied; Mine; O Allah Prophet! This is my house and this is my gate. The Prophet ﷺ said; Go and prepare a place for our midday rest. Abu Ayoub said; Get up both of you with Allah Blessings. So when Allah Prophet went into the house; Abdullah Bin Salam came and said I testify that you i.e. Muhammad are Apostle of Allah and that you have come with the Truth. The Jews know well that I am their chief and the son of their chief and the most learned amongst them and the son of the most learned amongst them. So send for them i.e. Jews and ask them about me before they know that I have embraced Islam; for if they know that they will say about me things which are not correct. So Allah Messenger ﷺ sent for them; and they came and entered. Allah Messenger ﷺ said to them; O the group of Jews! Woe to you: be afraid of Allah. By Allah except Whom none has the right to be worshipped; you people know for certain; that I am Apostle of Allah and that I have come to you with the Truth; so embrace Islam. The Jews replied; We do not know this. So they said this to the Prophet and he repeated it thrice. Then he said; What sort of a man is Abdullah Bin Salam amongst you? They said; He is our chief and the son of our chief and the most learned man; and the son of the most learned amongst us. He said; What would you think if he should embrace Islam? They said; Allah forbid! He can not embrace Islam. He said; What would you think if he should embrace Islam? They said; Allah forbid! He can not embrace Islam. He said; What would you think if he should embrace Islam? They said; Allah forbid! He can not embrace Islam. He said; O Ibn Salam! Come out to them. He came out and said; O the group of Jews! Be afraid of Allah except Whom none has the right to be worshipped. You know for certain that he is Apostle of Allah and that he has brought a True Religion! They said; You tell a lie. The Prophet ﷺ once said; Whoever has food enough for two persons; should take a third one from among them ; and whoever has food enough for four persons; should take a fifth or a sixth or said something similar. Abu Bakr brought three persons while the Prophet ﷺ took ten. Abu Bakr took his supper with the Prophet ﷺ and stayed there till he offered the Isha prayers. He returned and stayed till Allah Messenger ﷺ took his supper. After a part of the night had passed; he returned to his house. His wife said to him; What has detained you from your guests? He said; Have you served supper to them? She said; They refused to take supper until you come. They i.e. some members of the household presented the meal to them but they refused to eat I went to hide myself and he said; O Ghunthar! He invoked Allah to cause my ears to be cut and he rebuked me. He then said to them : Please eat! and added; I will never eat the meal. By Allah; whenever we took a handful of the meal; the meal grew from underneath more than that handful till everybody ate to his satisfaction; yet the remaining food was more than the original meal. Abu Bakr saw that the food was as much or more than the original amount. He called his wife; O sister of Bani Firas! She said; O pleasure of my eyes. The food has been tripled in quantity. Abu Bakr then started eating thereof and said; It i.e. my oath not to eat was because of Sa all. He took a handful from it; and carried the rest to the Prophet. So that food was with the Prophet ﷺ. There was a treaty between us and some people; and when the period of that treaty had elapsed; he divided US into twelve groups; each being headed by a man. Allah knows how many men were under the command of each leader. Anyhow; the Prophet ﷺ surely sent a leader with each group. Then all of them ate of that meal. | The Chapter on Food In Basic Instinct in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The signs of Prophethood in Islam in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3953 | Narrated Hudhaifa Bin AlYaman: The people used to ask Allah Messenger ﷺ about good; but I used to ask him about evil for fear that it might overtake me. Once I said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! We were in ignorance and in evil and Allah has bestowed upon us the present good; will there by any evil after this good? He said; Yes. I asked; Will there be good after that evil? He said; Yes; but it would be tained with Dakhan i.e. Little evil. I asked; What will its Dakhan be? He said; There will be some people who will lead people according to principles other than my tradition. You will see their actions and disapprove of them. I said; Will there by any evil after that good? He said; Yes; there will be some people who will invite others to the doors of Hell; and whoever accepts their invitation to it will be thrown in it by them. I said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Describe those people to us. He said; They will belong to us and speak our language I asked; What do you order me to do if such a thing should take place in my life? He said; Adhere to the group of Muslims and their Chief. I asked; If there is neither a group of Muslims nor a chief what shall I do ? He said; Keep away from all those different sects; even if you had to bite i.e. eat the root of a tree; till you meet Allah while you are still in that state. | The Chapter on Enemies And Groups And Evil in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The signs of Prophethood in Islam in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4032 | Narrated Zahdam: Once we were in the house of Abu Mousa who presented a meal containing cooked chicken. A man from the tribe of Bani Taim Allah with red complexion as if he were from the Byzantine war prisoners; was present. Abu Mousa invited him to share the meal but he apologised saying. I saw chickens eating dirty things and so I have had a strong aversion to eating them; and have taken an oath that I will not eat chickens. Abu Mousa said; Come along; I will tell you about this matter i.e. how to cancel one oath. I went to the Prophet ﷺ in the company of a group of AlAshariyin; asked him to provide us with means of conveyance. He said; By Allah; I will not provide you with any means of conveyance and I have nothing to make you ride on. Then some camels as booty were brought to Allah Messenger ﷺ and he asked for us saying. Where are the group of AlAshariyun? Then he ordered that we should be given five camels with white humps. When we set out we said; What have we done? We will never be blessed with what we have been given. So; we returned to the Prophet ﷺ and said; We asked you to provide us with means of conveyance; but you took an oath that you would not provide us with any means of conveyance. Did you forget your oath when you gave us the camels ? He replied. I have not provided you with means of conveyance; but Allah has provided you with it; and by Allah; Allah willing; if ever I take an oath to do something; and later on I find that it is more beneficial to do something different; I will do the thing which is better; and give expiation for my oath. | The Chapter on Oaths And Pledges And Kaffara in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Khumus is to be used for the needs of the Muslims in Sahih AlBukhari
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-4768 | Narrated Urwa from Aisha: The wives of Allah Messenger ﷺ were in two groups. One group consisted of Aisha; Hafsa; Safiya and Sauda; and the other group consisted of Umm Salamah and the other wives of Allah Messenger ﷺ. The Muslims knew that Allah Messenger ﷺ loved Aisha; so if any of them had a gift and wished to give to Allah Messenger ﷺ ; he would delay it; till Allah Messenger ﷺ had come to Aisha home and then he would send his gift to Allah Messenger ﷺ in her home. The group of Umm Salamah discussed the matter together and decided that Umm Salamah should request Allah Messenger ﷺ to tell the people to send their gifts to him in whatever wife house he was. Umm Salamah told Allah Messenger ﷺ of what they had said; but he did not reply. Then they those wives asked Umm Salamah about it. She said; He did not say anything to me. They asked her to talk to him again. She talked to him again when she met him on her day; but he gave no reply. When they asked her; she replied that he had given no reply. They said to her; Talk to him till he gives you a reply. When it was her turn; she talked to him again. He then said to her; Do not hurt me regarding Aisha; as the Divine Inspirations do not come to me on any of the beds except that of Aisha. On that Umm Salamah said; I repent to Allah for hurting you. Then the group of Umm Salamah called Fatima; the daughter of Allah Messenger ﷺ and sent her to Allah Messenger ﷺ to say to him; Your wives request to treat them and the daughter of Abu Bakr on equal terms. Then Fatima conveyed the message to him. The Prophet ﷺ said; O my daughter! Dont you love whom I love? She replied in the affirmative and returned and told them of the situation. They requested her to go to him again but she refused. They then sent Zainab bint Jahsh who went to him and used harsh words saying; Your wives request you to treat them and the daughter of Ibn Abu Quhafa on equal terms. On that she raised her voice and abused Aisha to her face so much so that Allah Messenger ﷺ looked at Aisha to see whether she would retort. Aisha started replying to Zainab till she silenced her. The Prophet ﷺ then looked at Aisha and said; She is really the daughter of Abu Bakr. | The Chapter on Enemies And Groups And Household in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Chosing the to give a gift in Sahih AlBukhari

The others said: We will not say our prayer except where the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has ordered us to say it even if the time expires. SahihMuslim-017-001-18197 | Abdullah Bin Masud reported in connection with the verse: Those whom they call upon; themselves seek the means of access to their Lord; that it related to a group of people who worshipped a party amongst the Jinn. The group from amongst the Jinn embraced Islam; but the people kept worshipping them as they did before; and it was on this occasion that the verse was revealed: Those whom they call upon; themselves seek the means of access to their Lord. SahihMuslim-017-001-18759 | It is reported on the authority of Abu AlZubair that he heard from Jabir b Abdullah; who was asked about the arrival of people on the Day of Resurrection. He said. We would come on the Day of Resurrection like this; like this; and see. carefully. that which concerns elevated people. He the narrator said: Then the people would be summoned along with their idols whom they worshipped; one after another. Then our Lord would come to us and say: Whom are you waiting for? They would say: We are waiting for our Lord. He would say: I am your Lord. They would say: We are not sure till we gaze at Thee; and He would manifest Himself to them smilingly; and would go along with them and they would follow Him; and every person; whether a hypocrite or a believer; would be endowed with a light; and there would be spikes and hooks on the bridge of the Hell; which would catch hold of those whom Allah willed. Then the light of the hypocrites would be extinguished; and the believers would secure salvation. and the first group to achieve it would comprise seventy thousand men who would have the brightness of full moon on their faces; and they would not be called to account. Then the people immediately following them would have their faces as the brightest stars in the heaven. This is how the groups would follow one after another. Then the stage of intercession would come; and they who are permitted to intercede would intercede; till he who had declared: There is no god but Allah and had in his heart virtue of the weight of a barley grain would come out of the Fire. They would be then brought in the courtyard of Paradise and the inhabitants of Paradise would begin to sprinkle water over them till they would sprout like the sprouting of a thing in flood water; and their burns would disappear. They would ask their Lord till they would be granted the bounties of the world and with it ten more besides it. | The Chapter on Admittance To Hell Fire in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 84 in Sahih Muslim
SahihMuslim-017-001-18817 | Husain Bin Abdulrahman reported: I was with Saeed Bin Jubair when he said: Who amongst you saw a star shooting last night? I said: It was I; then I said: I was in fact not busy in prayer; but was stung by a scorpion and that is the reason why I was awake and had a glimpse of the shooting star. He said: Then what did you do? I said: I practised charm. He said: What urged you to do this? I said: I did this according to the implied suggestion of the hadith which AlShuba narrated. He said: What did AlShuba narrate to you? I said: Buraida Bin Husaib AlAslami narrated to us. The charm is of no avail except in case of the evil influence of an eye or the sting of a scorpion. He said: He who acted according to what he had heard from the Holy Prophet acted rightly; but Ibn Abbas narrated to us from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he said: There were brought before me the peoples and I saw an apostle and a small group of his followers along with him; another apostle and one or two persons along with him and still another apostle having no one with him. When a very large group was brought to me I conceived as if it were my Ummah. Then it was said to me: It is Moses and his people. You should look at the horizon; and I saw a very huge group. It was again said to me: See the other side of the horizon; and there was also a very huge group. It was said to me: This is your Ummah; and amongst them there were seventy thousand persons who would be made to enter Paradise without rendering any account and without suffering any torment. He then stood up and went to his house. Then the people began to talk about the people who would be admitted to Paradise without rendering any account and without suffering any torment. Some of them said: They may be those who have had the good fortune of living in the company of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and some of them said: They be those who were born in Islam and did not associate anything with Allah. Some people mentioned other things. Thereupon came forth the Messenger of Allah ﷺ before them and he said: What was that which you were talking about? They informed him. He said: They are those persons who neither practise charm; nor ask others to practise it; nor do they take omens; and repose their trust in their Lord. Upon this Ukkasha Bin Mihsan stood up and said: Supplicate for me that He should make me one among them. Upon this he Messenger of Allah said: Thou are one among them. A group of people from amongst them paying heed to his warning fled to a place of protection and a group amongst them belied him and the morning overtook them in their houses and the army attacked them and killed them and they were routed. SahihMuslim-017-001-20903 | Abu Nawfal reported: I saw the dead body of Abdullah Bin AlZubair hanging on the road of Medina leading to Mecca. The Quraish passed by it and other people too; that Abdullah Bin Umar happened to pass by it. He stood up there and said: May there be peace upon you; Abu Khubaib the Kunya of Hadrat Abdullah Bin AlZubair ; may there be peace upon you Abu Khubaib; may there be peace upon you; Abu Khubaib! By Allah; I used to forbid you from this; by Allah; I used to forbid you from this; by Allah I used to forbid you from this. By Allah; so far as I know; you had been very much devoted to fasting and prayer and you had been paying very much care to cementing the ties of blood. By Allah; the group to which you belong are labelled as a wicked person is indeed a fine group. Then Abdullah Bin Umar went away. The stand Abdullah Bin Umar took in regard to the inhuman treatment meted out to Abdullah Bin AlZubair and his words in that connection were conveyed to AlHajjaj Bin Yousif and as a consequence of that he the body of Abdullah Bin AlZubair was brought down from the stump the scaffold by which it was hanging and thrown into the graves of the Jews. He AlHajjaj sent his messenger to Asma bint Abu Bakr; Abdullah mother. But she refused to come. He again sent the messenger to her with the message that she must come; otherwise he would bring her forcibly catching hold of her hair. But she again refused and said: By Allah; I will not come to you until you send one to me who would drag me by pulling my hair. Thereupon he said: Bring me my shoes. He put on his shoes and walked on quickly swollen with vanity and pride until he came to her and said: How do you find what I have done with the enemy of Allah? She said: I find that you wronged him in this world; whereas he has spoiled your next life. It has been conveyed to me that you used to call him Abdullah Bin AlZubair as the son of one having two belts. By Allah; I am indeed a woman of two belts. One is that with the help of which I used to suspend high the food of Allah Messenger ﷺ and that of Abu Bakr making it out of the reach of animals and; so far as the second belt is concerned; that is the belt which no woman can dispense with. Verily Allah Messenger ﷺ told us that in Thaqif; there would be born a great liar and great murderer. SunanAlTermithi-017-001-10095 | Narrated AlJad Bin Abi Uthman: from Anas Bin Malik: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ got married; and he went in with his wife. He said: So my mother; Umm Sulaim prepared some Hais in a Tawr a vessel made of brass and stone and said: O Anas! Take this to the Prophet ﷺ. I said to him: My mother sent this to you; and she conveys her Salam; and says: This is a little something from us for you. He said: Put it down. Then he said: Go and invite so-and-so; so-and-so; and so-and-so for me; and whomever you meet. He named some people; and said: I invited those he named; and whomever I met. - He AlJad said: I said to Anas: How many of you were there? He said: Roughly about three-hundred. - He Anas said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: O Anas! Bring me the Tawr. He said: They entered until the Suffah a shaded part of the Masjid in AlMadinah and the apartment were full. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Let groups of ten in; and let each person eat what is near him. He said: They ate until they were full. He said: A group exited; and another group entered; until all of them ate. He said: He said to me: O Anas! Remove it. He said: So I took it. I could not tell if there was more when I first put it down; or when I picked it up. He said: Groups of them sat talking in the house of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his wife sat facing the wall. They began to be burdensome on the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to greet his women folk; then he returned; they realized that they had overburdened him; so they hastened for the gate and all of them exited. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came until he lowered the curtain; and entered while I was sitting in the apartment. He did not remain there long before he left me; and these Ayat were revealed. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to recite them to the people: O you who believe! Do not enter the Prophet house unless permission is given to you for a meal; not to wait for its preparation. But when you are invited; enter; and when you have taken your meals; dispense without sitting for a talk. It was not long before Abu AlHaitham came along hauling to a large water-skin which he put down. Then he came to hug the Prophet ﷺ and uttered that his father and mother should be ransomed for him. Then he went to grove of his and he spread out a mat for them. Then he went to a date-palm and returned with a cluster of dates which he put down. The prophet s.a.w said: Why dont you select some ripe dates for us? He said: O Messenger of Allah s.a.w ! I wanted you to select from the ripe dates and the unripe dates. So they ate and they drank from that water. The Messenger of Allah s.a.w said: By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! This is among the favors which you shall be asked about on the Day Of Judgment. Cool shade; tasty ripe dates; and cool water. Abu AlHaitham left to prepare some food for them. The Prophet ﷺ said: Do not slaughter one with milk. So he Slaughtered a small female or male goat and brought it to them so they could eat it. The Prophet ﷺ said: Do you have any servants? He said: No. So he said: Then if we get some captives we shall bring them for you. So later the Prophet ﷺ came with 2 males; there was no third among them and he brought them to Abu AlHaitham. The Prophet ﷺ said: Choose from them. He said: O Prophet of Allah! Choose for me. So the Prophet ﷺ said: Indeed the one consulted is entrusted. Take this one for I have seen him praying; and encourage him to do well. So Abu AlHaitham went to his wife and informed her of what the Messenger of Allah s.a.w said. So his wife said: You will not fulfill what the Prophet ﷺ said until you have freed him. So he said: He is free. So the Prophet ﷺ said: Indeed Allah has not send a Prophet nor made a Khalifah except that he has two groups of supporters; group ordering him to do good; and prohibiting him from evil and a group that never ceases spoiling his affairs. They then said the taslim; left; and formed up opposite the enemy while the imam remained standing. Malik said; The generally agreed on way of doing things in our community about which there is no dispute is that when a man strikes another man with a stick or hits him with a rock or intentionally strikes him causing his death; that is an intentional injury and there is retaliation for it. Malik said; Intentional murder with us is that a man intentionally goes to a man and strikes him until his life goes. Part of intentional injury also is that a man strikes a man in a quarrel between them. He leaves him while he is alive; and he bleeds to death and so dies. There is retaliation for that. When he looked at the purchase; he saw that it was ugly and found it too expensive. Malik said; It is obliged on him and there is no choice in it for him if he bought it according to a list of contents and the description was well-known. Malik spoke about a man who had drapery goods sent to him; and salesmen came to him and he read to them his list of contents and said; In each bag is such-and-such a wrap from Basra and such-and-such a light wrap from Sabir. Their size is such-and-such; and he named to them types of drapery goods by their sort; and he said; Buy them from me according to this description. They bought the bags according to what he described to them; and then they bought them and found them too expensive and regretted it. Malik said; The sale is binding on them; if the goods agree with the list of contents on which he sold them. Malik said; This is the way of doing things which people still use today. MuwataMalik-017-001-35948 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya Ibn Said that he had heard that on the day after the day of sacrifice Umar Ibn AlKhattab went out a little after the sun had risen and said the takbir; and everyone repeated it after him. Then he went out a second time the same day when the sun was well up and said the takbir; and everyone repeated it after him. Then he went out a third time after mid-day and said the takbir; and everyone repeated it after him until it resounded from group to group until it reached the House and people knew that Umar had left to throw the stones. Malik said; What we do here in Madina is to say the takbir during the days of tashriq after each prayer. The first time is when the imam and everyone with him says the takbir after the dhuhr prayer on the day of sacrifice; and the last is when the imam and everyone with him says the takbir after subh on the last of the days of tashriq; after which he stops saying the takbir. Malik said; The takbirs during the days of tashriq should be done by both men and women; whether they are in a group or by themselves; at Mina or elsewhere; and all of the takbirs should be done. In this everyone follows the imam of the hajj and the people at Mina; because when everyone returns to Makka and comes out of ihram they keep the same people as imams while out of ihram as they did when they were in ihram. Some one who is not doing hajj does not follow them except for the takbirs during the days of tashriq. Malik said; The limited number of days are the days of tashriq. | The Chapter on Tashahhud And Supplication in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Business Transactions in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-36008 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu Hazim Ibn Dinar that Sahl Ibn Sad AlSaidi said; There are two times when the gates of heaven are opened; and few who make supplication have it returned to them unanswered. They are at the timeof the adhan; and in a rank of people fighting in the way of Allah. Malik was asked whether the adhan on the day of jumua was called before the time had come for the prayer and he said; It is not called until after the sun has passed the meridian. Malik was asked about doubling the adhan and the iqama; and at what point people had to stand when the iqama for the prayer was called. He said; I have heard nothing about the adhan and iqama except what I have seen people do. As for the iqama; it is not doubled. That is what the people of knowledge in our region continue to do. As for people standing up when the iqama for the prayer is called; I have not heard of any definite point at which it is begun; and I consider it rather to be according to people individual capacity; for some people are heavy and some are light; and they are not able to be as one man. Malik was asked about a gathering of people who wished to do the prescribed prayer calling the iqama and not the adhan; and he said; lt is enough for them. The adhan is only obligatory in Masjids where the prayer is said in congregation. Malik was asked about the muadhdhin saying Peace be upon you to the imam and calling him to the prayer; and he was asked who was the first person to whom such a greeting was made. He replied; I have not heard that this greeting occurred in the first community. Yahya said that Malik was asked whether a muadhdhin who called the people to prayer and then waited to see if anyone would come and no one did; so he said the iqama and did the prayer by himself and then people came after he had finished; should repeat the prayer with them. Malik said; He does not repeat the prayer; and whoever comes after he has finished should do the prayer by himself. Yahya said that Malik was asked about a muadhdhin who called the adhan for a group of people; did voluntary prayers; and then the group of people wanted to do the prayer with some one else saying the iqama. He said; There is no harm in that. His iqama or somebody else are the same. Yahya said that Malik said; The subh prayer is still called before dawn. As for the other prayers; we believe that they should only be called after the time has started. | The Chapter on Adhan And Iqama And Forgiveness in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Fasting in Muwata Malik |
