SahihMuslim-017-001-17336 | Abu Bakra reported that in the Farewell Address Allah Apostle ﷺ said: Time has completed a cycle and come to the state of the day when Allah created the heavens and the earth. The year is constituted of twelve months; of which four are sacred; three of them consecutive; viz. Dh AlQada; Dhu AlHijja and Muharram; and also Rajab the month of Mudar which comes between Jumada and Shaban. He the Holy Prophet then said: which month is this? We said Allah and His Messenger know best. He the narrator said: He the Holy Prophet remained silent for some time until we thought that he would give it a name other than that by which it was known. He said: Is it not Dhal-Hijja? We said: Yes. He the Holy Prophet said: Which city is this? We said: Allah and His Messenger know best. He the Holy Prophety remained silent until we thought that he would give it another name. He the Holy Prophet said: Is it not the Balda the city of Mecca ? We said: Yes. He said: What day is this? We said: Allah and His Messenger know best. He the Holy Prophet remained silent until we thought that he would give it another name. He said: Is it not the Day of Sacrifice? We said: Allah Messenger. yes. Thereupon he said: Your blood; your property Muhammad; one of the narrators; said: I think; he also said this and your honour are sacred to you like the sacredness of this day of yours; in this city of yours; and in this month of yours. You will soon meet your Lord and He will ask you about your deeds. So do not turn after me unbelievers or misguided ; some of you striking the necks of the others. Behold I let him who is present convey to him who is absent; for many a one whom a message is conveyed has a more retentive memory than one who hears. I said: Even if they the trained dogs kill that the game ? He the Holy Prophet said: Even if these kill; but on the condition that no other dog; which you did not set off along with your dogs ; participates in catching the game. I said to him: I throw Mirad; a heavy featherless blunt arrow; for hunting and killing the game. I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about hunting with the help of dogs; whereupon he said. When you send your dog for hunting reciting the name of Allah; then eat the game ; but if some part of it is eaten by the dogs; then do not eat that; for it your dog has caught that the-game for itself. I again said: If I find along with my dog another dog; and do not know which of the dogs has caught the game. then what should I do ? Thereupon he Allah Messenger said: Then dont eat that; for you recited the name of Allah on your dog and not on the other one. | The Chapter on Games And Hunting And Hitting Game With Sharp Iron in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 1 in Sahih Muslim

SahihMuslim-017-001-17985 | It has been reported from Sulaiman Bin Buraida through his father that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ appointed anyone as leader of an army or detachment he would especially exhort him to fear Allah and to be good to the Muslims who were with him. He would say: Fight in the name of Allah and in the way of Allah. Fight against those who disbelieve in Allah. Make a holy war; do not embezzle the spoils; do not break your pledge; and do not mutilate the dead bodies; do not kill the children. When you meet your enemies who are polytheists; invite them to three courses of action. If they respond to any one of these; you also accept it and withhold yourself from doing them any harm. Invite them to accept Islam; if they respond to you; accept it from them and desist from fighting against them. Then invite them to migrate from their lands to the land of the Muhajireen and inform them that; if they do so; they shall have all the privileges and obligations of the Muhajireen. If they refuse to migrate; tell them that they will have the status of Bedouin Muslims and will be subjected to the Commands of Allah like other Muslims; but they will not get any share from the spoils of war or Fai except when they actually fight with the Muslims against the disbelievers. If they refuse to accept Islam; demand from them the Jizya. If they agree to pay; accept it from them and hold off your hands. If they refuse to pay the tax; seek Allah help and fight them. When you lay siege to a fort and the besieged appeal to you for protection in the name of Allah and His Prophet; do not accord to them the guarantee of Allah and His Prophet; but accord to them your own guarantee and the guarantee of your companions for it is a lesser sin that the security given by you or your companions be disregarded than that the security granted in the name of Allah and His Prophet be violated. When you besiege a fort and the besieged want you to let them out in accordance with Allah Command; do not let them come out in accordance with His Command; but do so at your own command; for you do not know whether or not you will be able to carry out Allah behest with regard to them. | The Chapter on Inviting The Idolaters And Infidels To Islam in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 2 in Sahih Muslim

Therefore; write your name and the name of your father. So the Prophet ﷺ said: Write From Muhammad Bin Abdullah. They laid the condition on the Prophet ﷺ that anyone who joined them from the Muslims; the Meccans would not return him; and anyone who joined you the Muslims from them; you would send him back to them. The one most accursed among the people got up; brought the foetus and; when the Prophet ﷺ went down in prostration; placed it between his shoulders. Then they laughed at him and some of them leaned upon the others with laughter. And I stood looking. If I had the power; I would have thrown it away from the back of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ had bent down his head in prostration and did not raise it; until a man went to his house and informed his daughter Fatima; who was a young girl at that time about this ugly incident. She came and removed the filthy thing from him. Then she turned towards them rebuking them the mischief-mongers. When the Prophet ﷺ had finished his prayer; he invoked God imprecations upon them in a loud voice. When he prayed; he prayed thrice; and when he asked for God blessings; he asked thrice. Then he said thrice: O Allah; it is for Thee to deal with the Quraish. When they heard his voice; laughter vanished from them and they feared his malediction. Then he said: O God; it is for Thee to deal with Abu Jahl Bin Hisham; Utba Bin Rabia; Shaiba Bin Rabia. Walid Bin Uqba; Umaya Bin Khalaf; Uqba Bin Abu Muait and he mentioned the name of the seventh person. which I did not remember. By One Who sent Muhammad with truth; I saw all those he had named lying slain on the Day of Badr. Their dead bodies were dragged to be thrown into a pit near the battlefield. When it occurs to him to do evil; but he does not commit it; I forgive that. But if he commits it; I record one evil against his name. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ observed. The angels said: That bondsman of Yours intends to commit evil. though His Lord is more Vigilant than he. Upon this He the Lord said: Watch him; if he commits evil ; write it against his name but if he refrains from doing it; write one good deed or him; for he desisted from doing it for My sake. Then he said pointing towards Syria; with the gesture of his hand like this: The enemy shall muster strength against Muslims and the Muslims will muster strength against them Syrians. I said: You mean Rome? And he said: Yes; and there would be a terrible fight and the Muslims would prepare a detachment for fighting unto death which would not return but victorious. They will fight until night will intervene them; both the sides will return without being victorious and both will be wiped out. The Muslims will again prepare a detachment for fighting unto death so that they may not return but victorious. When it would be the fourth day; a new detachment out of the remnant of the Muslims would be prepared and Allah will decree that the enemy should be routed. And they would fight such a fight the like of which would not be seen; so much so that even if a bird were to pass their flanks; it would fall down dead before reaching the end of them. There would be such a large scale massacre that when counting would be done; only one out of a hundred men related to one another would be found alive. So what can be the joy at the spoils of such war and what inheritance would be divided! They would be in this very state that they would hear of a calamity more horrible than this. And a cry would reach them: The Dajjal has taken your place among your offspring. They will; therefore; throw away what would be in their hands and go forward sending ten horsemen; as a scouting party. SunanAlTermithi-017-001-10095 | Narrated AlJad Bin Abi Uthman: from Anas Bin Malik: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ got married; and he went in with his wife. He said: So my mother; Umm Sulaim prepared some Hais in a Tawr a vessel made of brass and stone and said: O Anas! Take this to the Prophet ﷺ. I said to him: My mother sent this to you; and she conveys her Salam; and says: This is a little something from us for you. He said: Put it down. Then he said: Go and invite so-and-so; so-and-so; and so-and-so for me; and whomever you meet. He named some people; and said: I invited those he named; and whomever I met. - He AlJad said: I said to Anas: How many of you were there? He said: Roughly about three-hundred. - He Anas said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: O Anas! Bring me the Tawr. He said: They entered until the Suffah a shaded part of the Masjid in AlMadinah and the apartment were full. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Let groups of ten in; and let each person eat what is near him. He said: They ate until they were full. He said: A group exited; and another group entered; until all of them ate. He said: He said to me: O Anas! Remove it. He said: So I took it. I could not tell if there was more when I first put it down; or when I picked it up. He said: Groups of them sat talking in the house of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his wife sat facing the wall. They began to be burdensome on the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to greet his women folk; then he returned; they realized that they had overburdened him; so they hastened for the gate and all of them exited. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came until he lowered the curtain; and entered while I was sitting in the apartment. He did not remain there long before he left me; and these Ayat were revealed. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to recite them to the people: O you who believe! Do not enter the Prophet house unless permission is given to you for a meal; not to wait for its preparation. But when you are invited; enter; and when you have taken your meals; dispense without sitting for a talk. Verily; such annoys the Prophet... till the end of the Ayah 33:53 AlJad said: Anas said: I am the earliest of the people to encounter these Ayat; and to be screened from the wives of the Prophet ﷺ. | The Chapter on Entering in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Chapters on Tafsir in Sunan AlTermithi

He said: I came to assist you. He said: Go to the people to repel their advances against me. For verily your going is better to me than your entering here. He said: So Abdullah Bin Salam went to the people and said: O you people! During Aljahiliyah I was named so-and-so; then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ named me Abdullah; and some Ayat from the Book of Allah were revealed about me. The following was revealed about me: A witness from among the Children of Israil has testified to something similar; and believed while you rejected. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-24900 | Aisha wife of the Prophet ﷺ and Umm Salamah said Abu Hudaifah Bin Utbah Bin Rabiah Bin Abd Shams adopted Salim as his son and married him to his niece Hind; daughter of AlWalid Bin Utbah Bin Rabiah. He Salim was the freed slave of a woman from the Ansar the Helpers as the Apostle of Allaah ﷺ adopted Zaid as his son. In pre Islamic days when anyone adopted a man as his son; the people called him by his name and he was given a share from his inheritance. Allaah; the Exalted; revealed about this matter Call them by the name of their fathers; that is juster in the sight of Allaah. And if ye know not their fathers; then they are your brethren in the faith and your clients. They were then called by their names of their fathers. A man; whose father was not known; remained under the protection of someone and considered brother in faith. Sahlah daughter of Suhail Bin Amr AlQuraishi then came and said Apostle of Allaah ﷺ ; we used to consider Salim our son. He dwelled with me and Abu Hudhaifah in the same house; and he saw me in the short clothes; but Allaah the Exalted; has revealed about them what you know; then what is your opinion about him? The Prophet ﷺ said give him your breast feed. She gave him five breast feeds. He then became like her foster son. Hence; Aisha may Allaah be pleased with her used to ask the daughters of her sisters and the daughters of her brethren to give him breast feed five times; whom Aisha wanted to see and who wanted to visit her. Though he might be of age; he then visited her. But Umm Salamah and all other wives of the Prophet ﷺ refused to allow anyone to visit them on the basis of such breast feeding unless one was given breast feed during infancy. MuwataMalik-017-001-34568 | Malik related to me from Yahya Ibn Said that the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; asked about a milk camel about to be milked; Who milks this camel? A man stood up. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; What is your name? The man said; Murra bitterness. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said to him; Sit down. Then he said; Who milks this one? A man stood up and the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; What is your name? He said; Harb war. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; Sit down. Then he said; Who milks this camel? A man stood up; and the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said to him; What is your name? The man said; Yaish he lives. MuwataMalik-017-001-35002 | Yahya said that Malik spoke about an investor who made a qirad loan and stipulated to the agent that only certain goods should be bought with his money or he forbade certain goods which he named to be bought. He said; There is no harm in an investor making a condition on an agent in qirad not to buy a certain kind of animal or goods which he specifies. It is disapproved of for an investor to make as a condition on an agent in qirad that he only buy certain goods unless the goods which he orders him to buy are in plentiful supply and do not fail either in winter or summer. There is no harm in that case. Malik spoke about an investor who loaned qirad money and stipulated that something of the profit should be his alone without the agent sharing in it. He said; That is not good; even if it is only one dirham unless he stipulates that half the profit is his and half the profit is the agent or a third or a fourth or whatever. When he names a percentage; whether great or small; everything specified by that is halal. This is the qirad of the muslims. He said; It is also not good if the investor stipulates that one dirham or more of the profit is purely his; with out the agent sharing it and then what remains of the profit is to be divided in half between them. That is not the qirad of the Muslims. | The Chapter on Financial Transactions And Profits in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Dress in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-35133 | Malik related to me from Yahya Ibn Said that he heard Muhammad Ibn AlMunkadir say; Allah loves his slave who is generous when he sells; and generous when he buys; generous when he repays; and generous when he is repaid. Malik said about a man who bought camels or sheep or dry goods or slaves or any goods without measuring precisely; There is no buying without measuring precisely in anything which can be counted. Malik said about a man who gave a man goods to sell for him and set their price saying; If you sell them for this price as I have ordered you to do; you will have a dinar or something which he has specified; which they are both satisfied with ; if you do not sell them; you will have nothing; There is no harm in that when he names a price to sell them at and names a known fee. If he sells the goods; he takes the fee; and if he does not sell them; he has nothing. Malik said; This is like saying to another man; If you capture my runaway slave or bring my stray camel; you will have such-and-such. This is from the category of reward; and not from the category of giving a wage. Had it been from the category of giving a wage; it would not be good. Malik said; As for a man who is given goods and told that if he sells them he will have a named percentage for every dinar; that is not good because whenever he is a dinar less than the price of the goods; he decreases the due which was named for him. This is an uncertain transaction. He does not know how much he will be given. | The Chapter on Financial Transaction And Partnership in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Blood Money in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-35151 | Malik said; The generally agreed on way of doing things among us in which there is no dispute and which I saw the people of knowledge in our citydoing; is that the child of the half-sibling by the mother; the paternal grandfather; the paternal uncle who is the maternal half- brother of the father; the maternal uncle; the great-grandmother who is the mother of the mother father; the daughter of the full- brother; the paternal aunt; and the maternal aunt do not inherit anything by their kinship. Malik said; The woman who is the furthest relation of the deceased of those who were named in this book; does not inherit anything by her kinship; and women do not inherit anything apart from those that are named in the Quran. Allah; the Blessed; the Exalted; mentioned in His Book the inheritance ofthe mother from her children; the inheritance of the daughters from their father; the inheritance of the wife from her husband; the inheritance of the full sisters; the inheritance of the half-sisters by the father and the inheritance of the half-sisters by the mother. The grandmother is made an heir by the example of the Prophet; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; made about her. A woman inherits from a slave she frees herself because Allah; the Blessed; the Exalted; said in His Book; They are your brothers in the deen and your mawali. | The Chapter on Inheritance And Half Brothers in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Hudud in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-35265 | Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that Abdullah Ibn Masud said that there was nothing binding on someone who said; Every woman I marry is divorced; if he did not name a specific tribe or woman. Malik said; That is the best of what I have heard. Malik said about a man saying to his wife; You are divorced; and every woman I marry is divorced; or that all his property would be sadaqa if he did not do such-and-such; and he broke his oath: As for his wives; it is divorce as he said; and as for his statement; Every woman I marry is divorced; if he did not name a specific woman; tribe; or land; or such; it is not binding on him and he can marry as he wishes.
