Havent you seen that he said; None has the right to be worshipped but Allah for Allah sake only. The man replied; Allah and His Apostle know better; but by Allah; we never saw him but helping and talking with the hypocrites. Allah Messenger ﷺ replied; No doubt; whoever says. Then spoke Umar expressing his views ; but he the Holy Prophet did not pay heed to him too. Then Saad Bin Ubada stood up and said: Messenger of Allah; you want us to speak. By God in Whose control is my life; if you order us to plunge our horses into the sea; we would do so. If you order us to goad our horses to the most distant place like Bark AlGhimad; we would do so. The one most accursed among the people got up; brought the foetus and; when the Prophet ﷺ went down in prostration; placed it between his shoulders. Then they laughed at him and some of them leaned upon the others with laughter. And I stood looking. If I had the power; I would have thrown it away from the back of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ had bent down his head in prostration and did not raise it; until a man went to his house and informed his daughter Fatima; who was a young girl at that time about this ugly incident. She came and removed the filthy thing from him. Then she turned towards them rebuking them the mischief-mongers. When the Prophet ﷺ had finished his prayer; he invoked God imprecations upon them in a loud voice. When he prayed; he prayed thrice; and when he asked for God blessings; he asked thrice. I entered the Masjid and prayed two rakahs in it; and then came out and Gabriel brought me a vessel of wine and a vessel of milk. He was again asked: Who is with you? He Gabriel said: Muhammad. It was said: Has he been sent for? Gabriel replied: He has indeed been sent for. Then I was taken to Sidrat AlMuntaha whose leaves were like elephant ears and its fruit like big earthenware vessels. And when it was covered by the Command of Allah; it underwent such a change that none amongst the creation has the power to praise its beauty. Then Allah revealed to me a revelation and He made obligatory for me fifty prayers every day and night. Then I went down to Moses ﷺ and he said: What has your Lord enjoined upon your Ummah? I said: Fifty prayers. He said: Return to thy Lord and beg for reduction in the number of prayers ; for your community shallnot be able to bear this burden. as I have put to test the children of Israil and tried them and found them too weak to bear such a heavy burden. He the Holy Prophet said: I went back to my Lord and said: My Lord; make things lighter for my Ummah. The Lord reduced five prayers for me. I went down to Moses and said. The Lord reduced five prayers for me; He said: Verily thy Ummah shall not be able to bear this burden; return to thy Lord and ask Him to make things lighter. I then kept going back and forth between my Lord Blessed and Exalted and Moses; till He said: There are five prayers every day and night. O Muhammad; each being credited as ten; so that makes fifty prayers. He who intends to do a good deed and does not do it will have a good deed recorded for him; and if he does it; it will be recorded for him as ten; whereas he who intends to do an evil deed and does not do; it will not be recorded for him; and if he does it; only one evil deed will be recorded. He then used the tooth-stick; performed ablution perfectly then came to the place of prayer and would pray eight rakahs; in which he would recite Surah AlFatihah; and a surah from the Quran as Allah willed. He would not sit during any of them but sit after the eighth rakah; and would not utter the salutation; but recite the Quran during the ninth rakah. Then he would sit and supplicate as long as Allah willed; and beg Him and devote his attention to Him; He would utter the salutation once in such a loud voice that the inmates of the house were almost awakened by his loud salutation. He would then recite Surah AlFatihah while sitting; bow while sitting; and then recite the Quran during the second rakah; and would bow and prostrate while sitting. He would supplicate Allah as long as He willed; then utter the salutation and turn away. This amount of prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ continued till he put a weight. To my mind he performed the recitation of the Quran; bowing and prostrating equally. He then observed witr with one rakah and prayed two rakahs sitting. Then he lay down on the ground. Sometimes Bilal came to him and called him for prayer. He then dozed; and sometimes I doubted whether he dozed or not; till he Bilal called him for prayer. This is the prayer he offered till he grew old or put on weight. She then mentioned how he put on weight as Allah wished. | The Chapter on Bowing In Prayers And Alquran in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on On The Night Prayer in Sunan Abu Dawoud

SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-24699 | Narrated Fadl Bin Abbas: I spent a night with the Prophet ﷺ to see how he prayed. He got up; performed ablution and prayed two rakahs. His standing was like his bowing i.e. equal in duration ; and his bowing was like his prostration equal in length. Then he slept. Afterwards he awoke; performed ablution; and used tooth-stick. He then recited five verses from Surah AlImran : In the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of night and day. He went on doing so till he prayed ten rakahs. He then stood up and prayed one rakah observing witr with it. In the meantime the muadhdhin called to prayer. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up after the muadhdhin had kept silent. He prayed two light rakahs and remained sitting till he offered the dawn prayer.Abu Dawud said: A part of the tradition transmitted by Ibn Bashshar remained hidden from me. | The Chapter on Bowing In Prayers And Almasjid in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on On The Night Prayer in Sunan Abu Dawoud

MuwataMalik-017-001-34247 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya Ibn Said from Muhammad Ibn Ibrahim Ibn AlHarith AlTaymi from Abu Salama Ibn Abd ar Rahman that Abu Said said that he had heard the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; say; A group of people will appear among you whose prayer; fasting and deeds will make you think little of your own prayer; fasting and deeds. They will recite the Quran; but it wil not get past their throats; and they will pass through the deen like an arrow passes through game. You look at the arrowhead; and you see nothing; and you look at the shaft; and you see nothing; and you look at the flights; and you see nothing. And you are in doubt about the notch. | The Chapter on Forgiveness And The Angles in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Prayer in Congregation in Muwata Malik
MuwataMalik-017-001-34254 | Malik said; The imam does not come down and prostrate when he recites a piece of Quran requiring a prostration while he is on the mimbar. Malik said; The position with us is that there are eleven prescribed prostrations in the Quran; none of which are in the mufassal. Malik said; No-one should recite any of the pieces of Quran that require a prostration after the prayers of subh and asr. This is because the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; forbade prayer after subh until after the sun had risen; and after asr until the sun had set; and prostration is part of the prayer. So no-one should recite any piece of Quran requiring a prostration during these two periods of time. Malik was asked whether a menstruating woman could prostrate if she heard some-one reciting a passage of Quran requiring a prostration; and he said; Neither a man nor a woman should prostrate unless they are ritually pure. Malik was asked whether a man in the company of a woman who was reciting a passage of Quran requiring a prostration should prostrate with her; and he said; He does not have to prostrate with her. The prostration is only obligatory for people who are with a man who is leading them. He recites the piece and they prostrate with him. Some one who hears a piece of Quran that requires a prostration being recited by a man who is not leading him in prayer does not have to do the prostration. | The Chapter on Prostration While Reciting Alquran in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Prayer in Congregation in Muwata Malik
