---|---|---|---|
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1099 | Narrated Abdullah Bin Umar: I heard Allah Messenger ﷺ while he was standing on the pulpit; saying; The remaining period of your stay on the earth in comparison to the nations before you; is like the period between the Asr prayer and sunset. The people of the Torah were given the Torah and they acted upon it till midday; and then they were worn out and were given for their labor; one Qirat each. Then the people of the Gospel were given the Gospel and they acted upon it till the time of the Asr prayer; and then they were worn out and were given for their labor ; one Qirat each. Then you people were given the Quran and you acted upon it till sunset and so you were given two Qirats each double the reward of the previous nations. Then the people of the Torah said; O our Lord! These people have done a little labor much less than we but have taken a greater reward. Allah said; Have I withheld anything from your reward? They said; No. Then Allah said; That is My Favor which I bestow on whom I wish. | The Chapter on Jihad And Alhajj in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Allahs Wish and Will in Sahih AlBukhari | |
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1120 | Narrated AlBara Bin Azib: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; O so-and-so; whenever you go to your bed for sleeping say; O Allah! I have surrendered myself over to you and have turned my face towards You; and leave all my affairs to You and depend on You and put my trust in You expecting Your reward and fearing Your punishment. There is neither fleeing from You nor refuge but with You. I believe in the Book Quran which You have revealed and in Your Prophet Muhammad whom You have sent. If you then die on that night; then you will die as a Muslim; and if you wake alive in the morning then you will receive the reward. See Hadith No. 323; Vol. 8 | The Chapter on Jihad Reward And Believe in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on He has sent it down with His Knowledge and the angels bear witness in Sahih AlBukhari | |
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1164 | Narrated Ibn Umar: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Your stay in this world in comparison to the stay of the nations preceding you; is like the period between Asr prayer and the sun set in comparison to a whole day. The people of the Torah were given the Torah and they acted on it till midday and then they were unable to carry on. And they were given a reward equal to one Qirat each. Then the people of the Gospel were given the Gospel and they acted on it till Asr Prayer and then they were unable to carry on; so they were given la reward equal to one Qirat each. Then you were given the Quran and you acted on it till sunset; therefore you were given a reward equal to two Qirats each. On that; the people of the Scriptures said; These people Muslims did less work than we but they took a bigger reward. Allah said to them. Have I done any oppression to you as regards your rights? They said; No. Then Allah said; That is My Blessing which I grant to whomsoever I will. | The Chapter on Jihad And Alhajj in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on Say Bring here the Taurat and recite it in Sahih AlBukhari | |
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-125 | Narrated Imran Bin Hosain: who had piles I asked Allah Messenger ﷺ about the praying of a man while sitting. He said; If he prays while standing it is better and he who prays while sitting gets half the reward of that who prays standing; and whoever prays while Lying gets half the reward of that who prays while sitting. | The Chapter on Prayers In Congregation in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on To offer Salat prayers while sitting in Sahih AlBukhari | |
SahihAlBukhari-017-001-126 | Narrated Abdullah Bin Buraida: Imran Bin Hosain had piles. Once Abu Ma mar narrated from Imran Bin Hosain had said; I asked the Prophet ﷺ about the prayer of a person while sitting. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1485 | Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah Messenger ﷺ said; Horses may be used for three purposes: For a man they may be a source of reward in the Hereafter ; for another; a means of protection; and for another; a source of sin. The man for whom they are a source of reward; is the one who keeps them for Allah Cause and ties them with long ropes and lets them graze in a pasture or garden. Whatever those long ropes allow them to eat of that pasture or garden; will be written as good deeds for him and if they break their ropes and run one or two rounds; then all their footsteps and dung will be written as good deeds for him; and if they pass a river and drink from it though he has had no intention of watering them; even then; that will be written as good deeds for him. So such horses are a source of reward for that man. For the man who keeps horses for his livelihood in order not to ask others for help or beg his bread; and at the same time he does not forget Allah right of what he earns through them and of their backs that he presents it to be used in Allah Cause ; such horses are a shelter for him from poverty. For the man who keeps them just out of pride and for showing off; they are a source of sin. Then Allah Messenger ﷺ was asked about donkeys. He said; Allah has not revealed anything to me regarding them except this comprehensive Verse: Then anyone who has done good; equal to the weight of an atom or a small ant shall see it; and any one who has done evil; equal to the weight of an atom or a small ant shall see it. 99.7-8 | The Chapter on Jihad Manners in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on The laws inferred from certain evidences and the meaning of an evidence in Sahih AlBukhari | |

The people said; O Allah Messenger ﷺ ! Would that you let us enjoy his company longer! Then Amir was killed the following morning. The people said; The good deeds of Amir are lost as he has killed himself. I returned at the time while they were talking about that. I went to the Prophet ﷺ and said; O Allah Prophet! Let my father be sacrificed for you! The people claim that Amir good deeds are lost. The Prophet ﷺ said; Whoever says so is a liar; for Amir will have a double reward as he exerted himself to obey Allah and fought in Allah Cause. No other way of killing would have granted him greater reward. | The Chapter on Horses And Khaiber in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on If someone kills himself by mistake there is no Diya in Sahih AlBukhari | |

He would then see his path; leading either to Paradise or to Hell. And no owner of the camels who does not pay Zakat would be spared but a soft sandy plain would be set for him and they the camels would be made to pass over him till the last of them would be made to return till Allah would pronounce judgment among His servants during a day the extent of which would be fifty thousand years. He said: The horses have goodness in their foreheads or he said or goodness is ingrained in the foreheads of the horses Suhail said: I am in doubt as to what was actually said up till the Day Of Judgment. The horses are of three kinds. They are a source of reward to a person; they are a covering to a person; and they are a burden to a person. As for those which bring reward is that a person would get reward who rears them for the sake of Allah and trains them for Him; and nothing disappears in their stomachs but Allah would record for him a good deed. And if they were to graze in the meadow; they would eat nothing but Allah would record for him a reward. And if they were to drink water from the canal; with every drop that; would disappear in their stomachs there would be reward for the owner. He went on describing till a reward was mentioned for their urine and dung. And if they pranced a course or two; there would be recorded a reward for every pace that they covered. As for one for whom they are a covering; he is the man who rears them for honour and dignity but does not forget the right of their backs and their stomachs; in plenty and adversity; As regards one for whom they are a burden; he is that who rears them for vainglory and showing off to the people; for him they are; the burden. They said: Messenger of Allah; what about asses? He said: Allah has not revealed to me anything in regards to it except this one comprehensive verse: He who does an atom weight of good will see it; and he who does an atom weight of evil will see it xcix. 7. | The Chapter on Blowing The Horn In The Day Of Judgment in HodHood Indexing, Chapter on 6 in Sahih Muslim | |

I heard the Bedouin and the people saying: Keep away from the whip. My father came up to him. He caught hold of his foot and acknowledged him his Prophethood. He stopped and listened to him. He then said: I participated in the army of Athran in the pre-Islamic days. The narrator; Ibn AlMuthanna; said: Army of Gathran. Tariq Ibn AlMuraqqa said: Who will give me a lance and get a reward? I asked: What is its reward? He replied: I shall marry him to my first daughter born to me. So I gave him my lance and then disappeared from him till I knew that a daughter was born to him and she came of age. I then came to him and said: Send my wife to me. He swore that he would not do that until I fixed a dower afresh other than that agreed between me and him; and I swore that I should not give him the dower other than that I had given him before. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: How old is she now? He said: She has grown old. He said: I think you should leave her. He said: This put awe and fear into me; and I looked at the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He replied: If Allah has on Earth a caliph who flays your back and takes your property; obey him; otherwise die holding onto the stump of a tree. I asked: What will come next? He replied: Then the Antichrist Dajjal will come forth accompanied by a river and fire. When Khuraym heard that; he hurriedly; took a knife; cut his hair in line with his ears and raised his lower garment half way up his legs. He then passed us on another day. MuwataMalik-017-001-35410 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Zayd Ibn Aslam from Abu Salih AlSamman from Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; Horses are a reward for one man; a protection for another; a burden for another. The one who has them as a reward is the one who dedicates them for use in the way of Allah; and tethers them in a meadow or grassland. Whatever the horse enjoys of the grassland or meadow in the length of its tether are good deeds for him. If it breaks its tether and goes over a hillock or two; its tracks and droppings are good deeds for him. If it crosses a river and drinks from it while he did not mean to allow it to drink it; that counts as good deeds for him; and the horse is a reward for him. Another man uses his horse to gain self reliance and up- standingness and does not forget Allah right on their necks and backs i.e. he does not ill treat or over-work them. Horses are a protection for him. Another man uses them out of pride to show them off and in hostility to the people of Islam. They are a burden on that man. The Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; was asked about donkeys; and he said; Nothing has been revealed to me about them except this single Allinclusive ayat; Whoever does an atom of good will see it; and whoever does an atom of evil; will see it. MuwataMalik-017-001-35543 | Yahya related to me from Malik from Abuz Zinad from AlAraj from Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah; may Allah bless him and grant him peace; said; By the One in Whose hand my self is; the smell of the breath of a man fasting is better with Allah than the scent of musk. He leaves his desires and his food and drink for My sake. Fasting is for Me and I reward it. Every good action is rewarded by ten times its kind; up to seven hundred times; except fasting; which is for Me; and I reward it. | The Chapter on Debt And Creditors And Repayment in HodHood Indexing, The Book of Faraid in Muwata Malik |
