  2. Narrated Abu Huraira: One day while the Prophet ﷺ was sitting in the company of some people; The angel Gabriel came and asked; What is faith? Allah Messenger ﷺ replied; Faith is to believe in Allah; His angels; the meeting with Him; His Apostles; and to believe in Resurrection. Then he further asked; What is Islam? Allah Messenger ﷺ replied; To worship Allah Alone and none else; to offer prayers perfectly to pay the compulsory charity Zakat and to observe fasts during the month of Ramadan. Then he further asked; When will the Hour be established? Allah Messenger ﷺ replied; The answerer has no better knowledge than the questioner. But I will inform you about its portents. 1. When a slave lady gives birth to her master. 2. When the shepherds of black camels start boasting and competing with others in the construction of higher buildings. And the Hour is one of five things which nobody knows except Allah. The Prophet ﷺ then recited: Verily; with Allah Alone is the knowledge of the Hour-. 31. 34 Then that man Gabriel left and the Prophet ﷺ asked his companions to call him back; but they could not see him. Abdullah Bin Umar said: Umar Bin AlKhattab told me: While we were with the Messenger of Allah SAWSYMOBOL one day; a man appeared before us whose clothes were exceedingly white and whose hair was exceedingly black. We could see no signs of travel on him; but none of us knew him. He came and sat before the Messenger of Allah SAWSYMOBOL; putting his knees against his; and placing his hands on his thighs; then he said: O Muhammad; tell me about Islam. He said: It is to bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah [SWT] and that Muhammad SAWSYMOBOL is the Messenger of Allah; to establish the Salah; to give Zakah; to fast Ramadan; and to perform Hajj to the House if you are able to bear the journey. He said: You have spoken the truth. And we were amazed by his asking him; and then saying; You have spoken the truth. Then he said: Tell me about Faith. He said: It is to believe in Allah [SWT] ; His Angels; His Books; His Messengers; the Last Day; and in the Divine Decree; its good and its bad. He said: You have spoken the truth. He said: Tell me about AlIhsan. He said: It is to worship Allah [SWT] as if you can see Him; for although you cannot see Him; He can see you. He said: Tell me about the Hour. He said: The one who is asked about it does not know more about it than the one who is asking. He said: Then tell me about its signs. He said: When a slave woman gives birth to her mistress; when you see the barefoot; naked; destitute shepherds competing in making tall buildings. Umar said: Three days passed; then the Messenger of Allah SAWSYMOBOL said to me: O Umar; do you know who the questioner was? I said: Allah and His Messenger know best.   4. It has been narrated on the authority of Abdulrahman Bin Shamasa AlMahri who said: I was in the company of Maslama Bin Mukhallad; and Abdullah Bin Amr Bin As was with him. Abdullah said: The Hour shall some oniy when the worst type of people are left on the earth. They will be worse than the people of pre-Islamic days. They will get whatever they ask of Allah. While we were yet sitting when Uqba Bin Amir came; and Maslama said to him: Uqba; listen to what Abdullah says. Uqba said: He knows better; so far as I am concerned; I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: A group of people from my Umma will continue to fight in obedience to the Command of Allah; remaining dominant over their enemies. Those who will oppose them shall not do them any harm. They will remain ill this condition until the Hour overtakes them. At this Abdullah said: Yes. Then Allah will raise a wild which will be fragrant like musk and whose touch will be like the touch of silk; but it will cause the death of all faithful persons; not leaving behind a single person with an iota of faith in his heart.   5. Hanzala Usayidi; who was amongst the scribes of Allah Messenger ﷺ. reported: I met Abu Bakr. He said: Who are you? He Hanzala said: Hanzala has turned to be a hypocrite. He Abu Bakr said: Hallowed be Allah; what are you saying? Thereupon he said: I say that when we are in the company of Allah Messenger ﷺ we ponder over Hell-Fire and Paradise as if we are seeing them with our very eyes and when we are away from Allah Messenger ﷺ we attend to our wives; our children; our business; most of these things pertaining to After-life slip out of our minds. Abu Bakr said: By Allah; I also experience the same. So I and Abu Bakr went to Allah Messenger ﷺ and said to him: Allah Messenger; Hanzala has turned to be a hypocrite. Thereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: What has happened to you? I said: Allah Messenger; when we are in your company; we are reminded of Hell-Fire and Paradise as if we are seeing them with our own eyes; but whenever we go away from you and attend to our wives; children and business; much of these things go out of our minds. Thereupon Allah Messenger ﷺ said: By Him in Whose Hand is my life; if your state of mind remains the same as it is in my presence and you are always busy in remembrance of Allah ; the Angels will shake hands with you in your beds and in your paths but; Hanzala; time should be devoted to the worldly affairs and time should be devoted to prayer and meditation. Sitting down beside the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ; leaning his knees against his and placing his hands on his thighs; he said : tell me; Muhammad; about Islam. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said : Islam means that you should testify that there is no god but Allah; and Muhammad is Allahs Apostle; that you should observe prayer; pay Zakat; fast during Ramadan; and perform Hajj to the house i.e.; Kabah ; If you have the means to go. He said : You have spoken the truth. We were surprised at his questioning him and then declaring that he spoke the truth. He said : Now tell me about faith. He replied : It means that you should believe in Allah; his angels; his Books; his Apostles and the last day; and that you should believe in the decreeing both of good and evil. Narrated Abu Huraira: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday; on it Adam was created; on it he was expelled from Paradise ; on it his contrition was accepted; on it he died; and on it the Last Hour will take place. On Friday every beast is on the lookout from dawn to sunrise in fear of the Last Hour; but not jinn and men; and it contains a time at which no Muslim prays and asks anything from Allah but He will give it to him. Kaab said: That is one day every year. So I said: It is on every Friday. Kaab read the Torah and said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has spoken the truth. Abu Huraira said: I met Abdullah Ibn Salam and told him of my meeting with Ka Bin Abdullah Ibn Salam said: I know what time it is. Abu Huraira said: I asked him to tell me about it. Abdullah Ibn Salam said: It is at the very end of Friday. I asked: How can it be when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has said: No Muslim finds it while he is praying.... and this is the moment when no prayer is offered. Abdullah Ibn Salam said: Has the Messenger of Allah ﷺ not said: If anyone is seated waiting for the prayer; he is engaged in the prayer until he observes it. I said: Yes; it is so.
