Next day she came again. He asked her ; what was your need? But she kept silence. So I said; I inform you; Apostle of Allaah ﷺ. She pulled grinding stone so much that it affected her hand; she carried water bag so much so that it affected the upper portion of her chest. When the slaves were brought to you I asked her to come to you and to ask you for a slave to save her from the exertion she is suffering. He said Fear Allaah; Fathimah and perform the duty of your Lord and do the work of your family. When you go to bed say Glory be to Allaah thirty three times; Praise be to Allaah thirty three times; Allaah is Most Great thirty four times. This is hundred times. That will be better for you than a servant. She said I am pleased with Allaah; Most High and with his Apostle ﷺ. SunanAbuDawoud-017-001-29259
3. Narrated Suwaid Bin Ghafala: While I as in the company of Salman Bin Rabia and Suhan; in one of the holy battles; I found a whip. One of them told me to drop it but I refused to do so and said that I would give it to its owner if I found him; otherwise I would utilize it. On our return we performed Hajj and on passing by Medina; I asked Ubai Bin Kaab about it. He said; I found a bag containing a hundred Dinars in the lifetime of the Prophet ﷺ and took it to the Prophet ﷺ who said to me; Make public announcement about it for one year. So; I announced it for one year and went to the Prophet ﷺ who said; Announce it publicly for another year. So; I announced it for another year. I went to him again and he said; Announce for an other year. So I announced for still another year. I went to the Prophet ﷺ for the fourth time; and he said; Remember the amount of money; the description of its container and the string it is tied with; and if the owner comes; give it to him; otherwise; utilize it. 4. It has been narrated on the authority of Abdullah Bin Mughaffal who said I found a bag containing fat on the day of the Battle of Khaibar. I caught hold of it and said: I will not give anything today from it to anybody. Then I turned round and saw that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was smiling at my words. SahihMuslim-017-001-18068
5. It is reported on the authority of Sahl Bin Saad AlSaidi that there was an encounter between the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the polytheists; and they fought against one another. At the conclusion of the battle the Messenger of Allah ﷺ bent his steps towards his army and they the enemies bent their steps towards their army. And there was a person his name was Quzman and he was one of the hypocrites among the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who did not spare a detached fighter of the enemy but pursued and killed him with the sword. They the Companions of the Holy Prophet said: None served us better today than this man Upon this the Messenger of Allah ﷺ remarked: Verily he is one of the denizens of Fire. One of the people Muslims said: I will constantly shadow him. Then this man went out along with him. He halted whenever he halted; and ran along with him whenever he ran. He the narrator said: The man was seriously injured. He could not stand the pain and hastened his own death. He placed the blade of the sword on the ground with the tip between his chest and then pressed himself against the sword and killed himself. Then the man following him went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: I bear testimony that verily thou art the Messenger of Allah; He the Holy Prophet said: What is the matter? He replied: The person about whom you just mentioned that he was one among the denizens of Fire and the people were surprised at this and I said to them that I would bring the news about him and consequently I went out in search of him till I found him to be very seriously injured. He hastened his death. He placed the blade of the sword upon the ground and its tip between his chest and then pressed himself against that and killed himself. Thereupon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ remarked: A person performs the deeds which to the people appear to be the deeds befitting the dweller of Paradise; but he is in fact one of the denizens of Hell. And verily a person does an act which in the eyes of public is one which is done by the denizens of Hell; but the person is one among the dwellers of Paradise. SahihMuslim-017-001-18595

Narrated Zaid Bin Thabit AlAnsari: who was one of those who used to write the Divine Revelation: Abu Bakr sent for me after the heavy casualties among the warriors of the battle of Yamama where a great number of Qurra were killed. Umar was present with Abu Bakr who said; Umar has come to me and said; The people have suffered heavy casualties on the day of the battle of Yamama; and I am afraid that there will be more casualties among the Qurra those who know the Quran by heart at other battle-fields; whereby a large part of the Quran may be lost; unless you collect it. And I am of the opinion that you should collect the Quran. Abu Bakr added; I said to Umar; How can I do something which Allah Apostle has not done? Umar said to me ; By Allah; it is really a good thing. So Umar kept on pressing; trying to persuade me to accept his proposal; till Allah opened my bosom for it and I had the same opinion as Umar. Zaid Bin Thabit added: Umar was sitting with him Abu Bakr and was not speaking. me. You are a wise young man and we do not suspect you of telling lies or of forgetfulness : and you used to write the Divine Inspiration for Allah Messenger ﷺ. Therefore; look for the Quran and collect it in one manuscript. By Allah; if he Abu Bakr had ordered me to shift one of the mountains from its place it would not have been harder for me than what he had ordered me concerning the collection of the Quran. I said to both of them; How dare you do a thing which the Prophet has not done? Abu Bakr said; By Allah; it is really a good thing. So I kept on arguing with him about it till Allah opened my bosom for that which He had opened the bosoms of Abu Bakr and Umar. So I started locating Quranic material and collecting it from parchments; scapula; leaf-stalks of date palms and from the memories of men who knew it by heart. I found with Khuzaima two Verses of Surat AlTauba which I had not found with anybody else; and they were :- Verily there has come to you an Apostle Muhammad from amongst yourselves. It grieves him that you should receive any injury or difficulty He Muhammad is ardently anxious over you to be rightly guided 9.128 The manuscript on which the Quran was collected; remained with Abu Bakr till Allah took him unto Him; and then with Umar till Allah took him unto Him; and finally it remained with Hafsa; Umar daughter. 7. Narrated Anas Bin Malik: I arrived at Medina and was asked whether I found any change since the days of Allah Messenger ﷺ. I said; I have not found any change except that you do not stand in alignment in your prayers. SahihAlBukhari-017-001-691
8. Zaid Bin Thabit added; A verse from Surat Ahzab was missed by me when we copied the Quran and I used to hear Allah Messenger ﷺ reciting it. So we searched for it and found it with Khuzaima Bin Thabit AlAnsari. That Verse was : Among the Believers are men who have been true in their covenant with Allah. 33.23 SahihAlBukhari-017-001-3255
9. This tradition has been transmitted by a different chain of narrators with a different wording; the last in the chain being the same narrator; i. e. Abdullah Bin Mughaffal ; who said: A bag containing food and fat was thrown to us. I lept forward to catch it. Then I turned round and saw to my surprise the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I felt ashamed of my act in his presence. SahihMuslim-017-001-18069
