6. Narrated Abdullah: Two person of Bani Thaqif and one from Quarish or two persons from Quraish and one from Bani Thaqif who had fat bellies but little wisdom; met near the Kaba. One of them said; Did you see that Allah hears what we say? The other said; He hears us if we speak aloud; but He does not hear if we speak in stealthy quietness softly. The third fellow said; If He hears when we speak aloud; then He surely hears us if we speak in stealthy quietness softly. So Allah revealed the Verse:- And you have not been screening against yourselves; lest your ears; and your eyes and your skins should testify against you... 41.22 SahihAlBukhari-017-001-1152
7. Saad Bin Waqqas reported that Umar sought permission from Allah Messenger ﷺ to visit him when some women of the Quraish were busy in talking with him and raising their voices above his Voiee. WhenUmar sought permission they stood up and went hurriedly behind the curtain. Allah Messenger ﷺ gave him permission smilingly. Thereupon Umar said: Allah Messenger; may Allah keep you happy all your life. Then Allah Messenger ﷺ said: I wonder at these women who were with me and no sooner did they hear your voice; they immediately went behind the curtain. Thereupon Umar said: Allah Messenger; you have more right that they should fear you. Then Umar addressing the women said: O ye enemies of yourselves; do you fear me and fear not the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ? They said: Yes; you are harsh and strict as compared to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Thereupon; Allah Messenger may ﷺ said: By Him in Whose Hand is my life; if satan would encounter you in the way he would certainly take a different way from that of yours. SahihMuslim-017-001-20611
8. Narrated AlBara: When it was the day of AlAhzab i.e. the clans and Allah Messenger ﷺ dug the trench; I saw him carrying earth out of the trench till dust made the skin of his Abdomen out of my sight and he was a hairy man. I heard him reciting the poetic verses composed by Ibn Rawaha while he was carrying the earth; O Allah! Without You we would not have been guided; nor would we have given in charity; nor would we have prayed. So; O Allah ; please send Sakina i.e. calmness upon us and make our feet firm if we meet the enemy; as they have rebelled against us. And if they intend affliction i.e. want to frighten us; and fight against us then we would not flee but withstand them. The Prophet ﷺ would then prolong his voice at the last words. 9. Ibn Abbas reported: The word of Allah Great and Glorious: And utter not thy prayer loudly; nor be low in it xvii. 110 was revealed as the Messenger of Allah may peace beupon him was hiding himself in Mecca. When he led his Companions in prayer he raised his voice while reciting the Quran. And when the polytheists heard that; they reviled the Quran and Him Who revealed it and him who brought it. Upon this Allah; the Exalted; said to His Apostle ﷺ : Utter not thy prayer so loudly that the polytheists may hear thy recitation and recite it not so low that it may be inaudible to your Companions. Make them hear the Quran; but do not recite it loudly and seek a middle way between these. Recite between loud and low tone. SahihMuslim-017-001-23472
10. Jabir Bin Abdullah Allah be pleased with them reported Allah Messenger ﷺ as saying in the Year of Victory while he was in Mecca: Verily Allah and His Messenger have forbidden the sale of wine; carcass; swine and idols; It was said: Allah Messenger; you see that the fat of the carcass is used for coating the boats and varnishing the hides and people use it for lighting purposes; whereupon he said: No; it is forbidden; Then Allah Messenger ﷺ said: May Allah the Exalted and Majestic destroy the Jews; when Allah forbade the use of fat of the carcass for them; they melted it; and then sold it and made use of its price received from it.
